Great Chicken in Tendring

Mistakes on ordered. But was corrected to a satisfactory levels with good will gesture.

Hi everyone, just a quick piece of advice . DO NOT eat here . 1. Food is rubbish. Pizza are cold on delivery. Chicken is so dry . 2. Staff are rude and always flirting with the young teenagers . I have noticed this before so I will be speaking to the police about this . 3. I will also be contacting the local council regarding food hygiene issues .

We thought we would give this place one last chance !! Ordered food at 6pm , it turned up at 8-30pm . The food was cold , I rang the shop up to complain and was told to put it in our oven to heat it up . Woke up in morning to very bad stomach ache . I spent that long on the toilet I had bum like a Japanese flag 🇯🇵 !!!!When I went to the shop to voice my opinion I was escorted out the shop . DO NOT EAT HERE . There are so many more places to eat locally. STATION KEBABS are 100% better and staff are easy to talk to .

Absolutely awful service. 2 hours late, delivery driver unable to find easy address(so we’re told) sounded like he was still at the restaurant. Highly recommend everyone to avoid.

By far the best pizza in Clacton beats family pizza and Domino's by far not tight with the toppings absolutely fantastic. Big respect to all the members of staff that provide the great service.

Been using this place for years not no more,, chicken smelt funny and left a nasty taste.

Went into the shop, i was the only person in the shop and it took over 30 minutes to get served. Had it not been for the kids wanting it I would have walked out, chicken and chips were fine, coleslaw was awful, don't think I will go back.

The best pizza kebab I have ever had, thank you, nice-faced staff, you deserve respect.

We ordered two different pizzas at this place there the best pizzas I had in a long time I used to my normal place ordering the only reason I ordered was that I had a quest over and the pizza she wanted they didn’t do but these guys catered to her needs and I never look back as never tasted a pizza so good for a long time and quick delivery too well recommended

Was the best around BUT not anymore ! Used to order every weekend £40 +. Has gradually gone downhill - what a shame - No more.

Probably the worst pizza Iv ever had. Cheese and toppings just slid off the pizza and once cool the cheese was like chewing gum.

Called and made an order for delivery was told that deliver in my area will send me a link to pay by card 15mins later still not received link called them again said I've made an order and have not received a link to pay I was told yes I've sent the link when clearly I had not had anything come through to my phone I cancelled order

Ordered food on a Thursday evening. Used to love this place but seems to have gone downhill. They put way too much sauce in the burgers and wraps even when noted that we didn't want much in there. It took well over an hour for us to get the food and when it finally came the driver went to the wrong place.

I’m annoyed I haven’t had from this place before it’s the best kebab in Essex I can assure you that I’ll never order elsewhere this is a north London kebab It has to be pukka

Start taking card I’ll change this too a 4 star, I love your food especially your chicken burgers, your portions are good sizes but come on what century are we in, there’s only one reason people don’t take card in this day, and I will not support such places, don’t be that place I really like your food but not taking a card is just a no go.

Waited 1hour for our food ,everything was cold soggy and greasy,put the lot in the bin which cost us £30,rang and complained only to be told they are very busy,will definitely not be using them again

Best chicken shop for its food but when it comes to ordering online you really need to be sorting that out. Never let's me order from your website it always says enter your phone number when I have already put the right number in.

Ordered a pizza half way through & there was a hair in my pizza yuk will never order from there again

very nice food every thing was hot amd my drink was chilled the garlic bread pizza is amazing would recommend and the onion rings are nice and crispy

Only been a few times and food has not been kept well in the heater..... pretty dry chicken burger on two occasions and overall chicken pieces could be cooked a bit more frequently.... pizzas are good for the price

Had a delivery tonight, totally disappointed - pizza’s burnt & hard and couldn’t see any tomato on the base due to being in the oven so long - Potato wedges burnt and chips not great either. Phoned and was spoken to very rude, was told manager on holiday & they wasn’t willing to do anything. Won’t use again!!!!!!

Wouldn’t recommend eating from here it’s disgusting, the delivery driver gave my meal to a stranger didn’t even knock on my door the first burger was burnt and the second meal that came the chicken wasn’t even cooked properly, would not be orderin* from here again

Went tonight for a treat , put mask on before entering, was treated like complete imbersill from start to finish, only got the meal which was horrible chips had to be thrown so dry , chicken disgusting , burger burnt , literally had the drink lobbed across the counter at me with my change , never saw hand washing , and ordered apple pie never got will never return, last meal came from sister shop that was greesey, they have lost good customer

Ordered from Great Chicken today the food was absolutely disgusting burnt burger buns and burgers and no salad, no cheese in the chicken burger even though I paid for it.. this used to be such lovely food however since the lockdown has completely gone downhill and I can confirm I will never order from here again

Very nice food and reasonably priced....even tho they forgot our chips we phoned them back and told them they were more then happy to send a fresh batch out and were very apologetic will defo be ordering here again my wife loved the £2.50 beef burger and the chicken wings were perfect!!

Ordered £30 worth of food which included these chicken strips, clearly just odd bits of chicken thrown into our order, absolutely disgusting. Order from here frequently and never had a problem up until now. Also waited well over an hour for our food, will not be using again.

We had a menu delivered and decided to try it. We had a doner kebab and a chicken shish with lovely fresh salad which was delishes. We didn't know what a chicken shish was so the gentleman on the phone explained to me what is was. He was very polite and helpful. The delivery driver was also very friendly. We will definitely be using this takeaway again.

Me and my friends have been using this place for years but recently it has gone down hill. Our last order got delivered by some guy in the car full of giggly girls and guys. when we opened the boxes all the pizzas were damaged and squashed. As I said we loved this place so we decided to order again today. While ordering we was asked to call back to let them when they have been delivered. I confirmed that it would be no problem. After 1 hour and 20 minutes I called them back to say that we were still waiting for our pizza. The man said that he didnt do them, as I had called back 10 minutes after to tell him I wanted them for free? I told him that I had not called him back as If that was the case i would have said that in my last call. He again apologised and said Give me 30 minutes and I will get you your order. I told him to forget it and that i will be making a formal complaint in person to the manager. I ended up ordering from somewhere else. Totally disappointed is in understatement.

The recent delivery we had was very poor. The chicken was dry and tasteless with a breadcrumb coating that was soggy and falling away from the pieces. This combined with the fact that the chicken was room temperature and not hot, made us feel they had delivered us some old crap that had been lying around for hours or been returned by another customer. We were not expecting the chips to be great as they have to travel to us in a sealed container which does not do them any good etc. However the ones we recieved were cold and looked like they had been cooked hours before hand also. There is absolutley no way I would ever order anything again from this place.

Had meal deal 2 delivered to my Haven Caravan in the orchards Delivered in 40 minutes and still piping hot !! EXCELLENT!!!!!!

I waited over 2hrs for my delivery for it to be cold!!!!! When I rang to ask if my food has left the shop they was rude and hang up on me. Never will eat from there again!!!!! Don't waste your time.

I have been eating at this place for awhile now and their food quality is excellent! The staff are also super polite, would recommend.

After a evening drinking session what better way than to finish with a mixed kebab. I had a regular which was huge and very tasty. Even my mother enjoyed hers, and plenty left for the dogs breakfast.

Ordered food tonight and was not impressed to be honest dry chips very bland chicken and a sloppy chicken fillet burger with a stupid ammount of mayonnaise and the smallest chickenwings i have ever seen neither hot or spicy favourite chicken and kfc ruin this place this is my only time i will order from here and if you like a decent hotwing order from favourite chicken not here

food allways been good and service been fast prices not too bad and menu ok and open till late good choice if you like chicken or pizza though menu offers more

The chicken here is really nice. Much cheaper and much tastier than KFC. If I don't pick up fish and chips from Regs, I get chicken and chips from here. Top quality.

Had a delivery from them last night, delivery was on time and gotta say was the best chicken I've had in Clacton, far better than KFC and any others I've tried, now my number one choice

Asked for battered mushrooms, which can be on the spicy side, to be not spicy. Got given plain mushrooms. When I complained I was told I didn't spend enough to warrant sorting it and to get lost. Nice.

This chicken shop is the best in Clacton, go most weeks with me mate. can't go wrong with the meals in this place and the staff are really friendly and welcome you, so if your in the Area get in there and get some chicken.

The food I ordered from there was completely inedible unless I wanted to be ill. I took a bite from a chicken piece and it was pink inside, not just a hue of pink it was hardly cooked. I probably should I complained about this but I was too disgusted to believe that a place would serve under cooked chicken. I will never go back.

Take away that should be a chain. Great Chicken does what it says on the tin. They deliver Great Chicken and Chips & wonderful burgers. The prices are good the quality of the food excellent. They knock KFC & Favourite Chicken into a cocked hat. REALLY good portions, no grease. I love it.

When I went there, I was not impressed in the slightest, I took one bite out of one of the pieces and the chicken was pink. I went through the other pieces and it turned out to be all of them. Put it this way, I wouldn't go back.

Orders pizza arrived in less thirty minutes was very hot and tasty and plenty topping very impress best pizza in town

All i can say is what a waste of money and a near miss to say the least. Very pink chicken so for obvious reasons I had to just chuck the food away.
