Angela's Cafe in Lambeth

This gem of a cafe is worth a 5 star plus rating. Great food, friendly, immaculately clean, good value, large portions and a community feel. Angela and her team are all lovely, don't go to Brixton and miss this cafe out!

Literally the best sausage and egg sandwiches. Ever! Wouldn't go anywhere else! Service with a smile and great craic!

Tasty breakfast. Service with a smile, and a chinwag. I always judge a breakfast by the quality of the sausage. Very good.

If the food was served in a hotel, the hotel would have a five star rating. Even a humble bacon sandwich is worth a visit. I just do not know how Angela and her staff can provide such good food where others cannot? I have driven 29 miles and past a lot of places just to have breakfast here.

I rarely give five star ratings...and this is thus something of a red letter day for me. I am probably biased as Angela's is my local breakfast salon..but I have to say, it's one of the best I have had in London. The food is Irish in proportion, and hits the spot perfectly. The place is always bustling at breakfast and lunchtime, and as one can *always* rely on construction workers to locate the best cafe in any given area, the number of yellow waistcoats is reassuring. It's tiny inside and a couple of tables outside for the impatient or perhaps those immune to the weather. The chef is Angela herself. The full works breakfast is both reasonably priced and excellent - I would advise you to ask for the bacon well done. Substitutions are allowed, if you're not a fan of both black and white pudding. More conventional lunches are available, and there are various vegetarian options if pig isn't your thing. And finally, St Patrick's day sees the creation of absolutely magnificent Irish coffees for respected clientele, and I always arrange my year to ensure that I am in town for that. An excellent place. An institution.

Well what can I say....I found a little bit of food heaven!And Open from 6am to 2.30 monday to Saturday! Angie is a formidable cook and host,everyone is made to feel welcome in this clean and homely environment ,the all day breakfast at £4.90 is superb value!everything served (with a big smile) is top notch grub! Daily specials,and so much choice from ciabattas ,scrambled eggs,omellettes to jerk chicken,shepherds pie,roast chicken dinner,curries and chillis! Top grade steaks,no expense spared on quality ingredients all freshly made on the day! Lovely friendly staff! Very hard to beat this terrific little 'eatery' If you find yourself ' hungry' or a little 'lost ' pop into Angies! She will proper sort you out! Xxxxxxx

Lovely little cafe in Brixton very homely, no cheap ingredients like most cafés these days and a great atmosphere.

This place is small with only around 12 seats inside and maybe another 4 seats outside, but it seems a real hub for the local community, with everyone popping in while I was there to see the owner and have a laugh and a joke while waiting for their breakfast. Everyone is treated like family. Food was cheap (£4.90 for full English breakfast including tea/coffee) and very, very good. Perfect for a proper English breakfast, this is one place I will definitely be returning to.
