Ange & Cheryl's Place in Hartlepool

Ange and Cheryl appear to have taken over what was Sweet Peas Garden Centre! It is transformed into a superb cafe with great staff and a garden centre with wide choice and reasonable prices. Iwould recommend to all.

Ange and Cheryls place is a wonderful place to dine Set behind a pub it is not easy to find, but please take time to find it as it is a REAL gem. The food is totally unbeatable with tastes that envigorate and treat your taste bubs. The VFM is very good and the staff are exceptional. Please treat yourself to a visit there, it won't be you last. I come up regularly from London EVERY week and if I am in The Seaton Carew area then I dine THERE.

I phoned Sunday morning at 10 am to enquire about Sunday lunch for 19. Was advised 12 o clock sitting fully booked but willing to add an extra sitting at 1.30 pm. The buffet lunch was beautiful, plentiful and hot. Dessert quantities were limited as it was unexpected second sitting but they managed to complete our orders which were also delicious. The service was very efficient and friendly . We greatly appreciated the staff going that extra mile to enable our family to thoroughly enjoy a lovely impromptu Sunday lunch together. Thankyou . Would not hesitate to recommend.

What a find. Recommended by a friend, off we went to try it. Car Park..I found out there is a free park at the rear. Place..very comfortable dining area but I think the loos need some TLC Food..OMG. I would have given it 12/10 BUT no pork scratching !! Staff..exemplary. We LOVED it.

Visited with my partner for the Friday night dinner menu, we had: Garlic mushrooms Potoato skins Parmo and chips Lamb shank, veg and mash Cheesecake Sticky toffee pudding We couldn’t literally not fault a single thing, the food was all homemade and just full of flavours. The Parmesan was by far the best one we’d ever had, the breast was thick and juicy, unlike most parmos houses in Teesside. Can’t believe how amazing this little hidden gem is, possibly our new favourite spot to eat. Staff are lovely, very welcoming and warm. Love helping out a local business, really don’t mind paying that little bit extra for proper homemade food with fab service.

Visited this restaurant along with my friend. We were looking for wholesome food and we certainly were not disappointed. My friend chose the beef dinner Which looked scrumptious and she assured me it tasted as good as it looked. I chose the steak pie and chips which was puff pastry topping with a generous amount of steak.and gravy gorgeous we shared a vegetable platter and gravy boat. We had a brilliant afternoon good company good food and friendly staff....We will.be back! Thanks for making us feel very welcome...Oh yeah your wine is pretty good too!

Excellent freshly cooked food excellent choice. Sunday lunch outstanding. Friendly helpful staff nothing too much trouble if you have dietary needs

We walked in without a booking and it was like walking onto the set of League of Gentlemen. 1975 social club decor was not very well disguised with the gallon of white gloss that had been applied to the Ronseal covered panelling. Waitress was full of self praise probably from the amazement from being able to fill what was until recently on the radar of URBEX explorers. Food was actually okay but vastly over priced for the venue. We left wondering what on earth the mass of wires are for trailing all around the room. Maybe we were being recorded and will be appearing on the BBC. No hard feelings, I hope.

Ordered 2 vegetarian breakfasts this morning and they were absolutely beautiful, the staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond! The waitress that greeted us is a great asset to the company and my husband and I cannot wait to return again! Well done!

Tries Ange & Cheryl's Place twice now. 1st visit Breakfast and 2nd lunch - both mid week. On both occasions the food is fresh and well cooked. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Well worth a visit.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch today, there was a choice of beef, turkey, pork and ham with an assortment of vegetables which were perfectly cooked. The apple and summer fruits crumble was just the right side of tart! We have rebooked for next Sunday, this is a gem of a restaurant with fantastic staff who make you feel at home.

Dinner date with my boyfriend on Saturday .grilled chicken&mushroom;&bacon; in a blue stilton sauce baguette😍 Absoloutly gorgeous brilliant price& lovely staff.. we will defiantly be making it a weekly thing.. Kyle hasn't stopped talking about it.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 💞💞

Really lucky to have caught Sunday Carvery this afternoon! 5* service and food was beautiful! Choice of 3 meats, great variety of lovely fresh veggies, roasties AND mash, huge Yorkshire puds. Kids enjoyed it too! Lovely spacey dinning area, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Girls couldn't of been more accommodating we'll definitely be back! Have already recommended

Tasty but vastly overpriced at almost £10 for an adult carvery portion served on a plate that clearly is child's portion size....soft drinks served in cans that say not to be resold as a single can seems a bit mean and probably not legal...came away feelin a wee bit ripped off ...shame really
