Andy's Fish and Chips in Liverpool

Fish n chip dinner was lovely. Spring rolls lovely n crispy n tasty . But the BBQ spare ribs was grisly. I had 2 full ribs the rest was off cuts full of bone n not nice ! Change your supplier of ribs please

Travelled 30miles as got told its the best chippy in Aigburth. Well I don't even know why people bother going there the food was not even edible chicken burger - bun was rock hard and stale lettuce was rotten and off chicken wasn't even cooked. Chips were greasy and tasted absolutely vile. Egg fried rice had no flavor can tell it was reheated up from.the day before. Spring rolls were all soggy and undercooked Me and my partner could not eat the food we had to bin it and went the mcdonalds. The place needs shutting down and trading standards involved serving food from the day before.. Dosemt even deserve one star Absolutely fumming, how they get away with cooking food like that is outrageous Genuinely don't recommend the place to anyone. I'm absolutely gutted as was so excited to try the place

£10.50 for fish and chips - it’s a little steep compared to other places. Everything tasted very fresh.

Used to be good, ordered fish, chip and peas. Worst I have ever had, chips stale and batter was soggy and limp. Don't see how they call themselves a fish and chip shop.

What has happened to this once great chip shop? Chicken was horrible, black bean sauce disgusting and bang average sweet and sour. Do not buy your food from here.

Delivery was fast ( within half an hour) sadly the banquet for 2 ( crackers, soup, ribs, sweet n sour chicken..beef green pepper in bkack bean and foo yung rice was completely tasteless and cost 35 pound

Good selection of Chinese and English meals, good sized portions, food is tasty and fresh ingredients have been going for 20yrs

Food feels like it was made by someone who read a brief, second hand description of Chinese food several years ago and has an affinity for spring onion. Stale crackers, anaemic chips, the only flavour in the soup & prawn toast was the mountain of onion and the beef green pepper has the taste & consistency of the contents of the bfg’s hankie.

A traditional British Liverpool North West England fish and chip shop, with fish and chips and sides, and Chinese takeaway dishes. Nice team who run Andy's and reasonable prices despite the cost of living crisis, for the good portion size.

"Can I have a chicken fried rice please?" Boom! It's there within 5 seconds. Refrigerated cold chicken poured on top of stale rice. £7. I'm not exaggerating it's the worst food I've bought.

Terrible Incorrect order recieved, paid £9.30 for special fried rice which i didnt recieve. rice disgusting,chicken and sweet corn soup no taste, bland. Honestly disgusting

Genuinely nothing Chinese about this place! It’s in capital letters in the title, but no seasoning was used at all! You can’t call salt and pepper chips salt and pepper because you make them with green bell peppers and onions, it had no flavour! The salt and pepper chicken was the same, no flavour and chewy as anything. The dim sum ended up in the bin, prawn toast was greasy it left a film over your hands. The prawn crackers were stale, how do you even get prawn crackers wrong!! If you are going to go here, I’d recommend the English food because the only decent thing about this £27 order was the bottle of coke and the sausage dinner. Safe to say I’ve just put about £20 worth of food in the bin! Avoid if you want a chinese, try it if you fancy some English food but you would be better off cooking at home!

Thought we would try here because it had good reviews, I’m not sure what those peoples taste buds were like but they don’t even deserve the one star!!! 20 pound for anaemic chips barely cooked, oily noodles so greasy very bland, chicken fried rice that was bland tasteless chicken was what I’d expect an old boot to taste like, completely inedible I’d avoid at all costs unless you like being ripped off for s**t food!!!

Ordered over £55 worth of food and £40 worth of food was missing. Order was through Uber and neither andys or Uber would help with this issue would not recommend ordering from either company after this experience

Wonderful friendly members of staff and loved the food.

Asked for a regular chips, served in a tiny tray, barely enough for 2 chip butties 2nd time this has happened in a row... Hard to forgive because it's really pricey in there. Will shop around for our next chippy.

Maybe it's just me but I expect a place to be open at opening time. Stood around for 10 mins whilst the staff just carried on inside. Won't bother going again, disappointing and a wasted journey because they couldn't be bothered opening shop.

Chips were great but the curry sauce could be more flavoursome.

Kind of rude staff. In my personal experience, I asked for refill of my water bottle and they said they can't touching anything coming from outside due to covid. If that's the case, then I can totally understand. But at the same time, they were not wearing masks. So according to me, this is double standard.

Well worth a visit food excellent good proportions closes a bit to early but suppose staff need to get home but highly recommend

Been going to Andy's for years but I think that's about to stop. Ordered for four, food arrived quickly, mostly ok but spoiled by disgusting chips - all four bags were dried out and one was mostly scraps.

The two ladies who work there are so friendly and just down right good at their jobs. Boss little chippy. Very rare to find these days.

Location is nice and shop looks quaint but food is sloppy Chinese mostly, and not great at that. If you want a piece of fish they have to go out the back and look for it. Then the quality of frying isn't up to much. If you want decent fish and chips go to Steve's or Chris's (but this last one now seems closed for the moment).

Absolute huge portions, flavour was on point for both the chicken chow mein and the egg fried rice and the prices cant be beat around here. bang on delivery time aswell.

1st time customer, ordered through Just Eat. Part of order didnt arrive, phoned up and was hung up on. Phoned again to be told order was complete and it basically wasnt their problem contact Just Eat. Definitely wont be using again.

Little pricey but you get what you pay for, it is by far the best fish and chips you can get in my area without a doubt! Fresh, delicious. Perfect every time. And the staff and Andy are really nice and a good laugh, very friendly. They deliver great too.. always on time and with a smile.

Good as ever. Sadly unusually empty, due to people ordering on line in current crisis. We've been using this takeaway for over thirty years. For them to have remained open all that time, and for us to have continued to use them says all you need to know. Food choices are British, Greek, and Chinese

Good all round meals and fish and chips

One of the best takeaways to order from in the area. Always order from UberEats as they have free delivery on there. Arrives so quickly every time, really good portion sizes and great quality considering the price. 💚

Didn’t get our food wouldn’t even get one star they haven’t a clue about customer service, tried to say the driver had knocked and rung erm doubt it door was open and I had my phone So must have super powers , was just told to read just eat and get a refund , which to be honest just eat we’re fab and refunded straight away but I will never order from Andys again!!!!

Best fish and chips in Liverpool - never soggy or too greasy.

Fish & chips are very good but I felt like egg fried rice for a change. It appeared within seconds of being ordered but looked thoroughly cooked. It was very hot when I unwrapped it to eat but had a really bad stale food smell. I only ate a small amount that tasted OK but the smell was off putting. Won't be going there again.

Nicest food. The best fish and chips I’ve had in Liverpool. I’ve not had any of the Chinese stuff so couldn't comment but fish and chips are great. There seems to be a lot of problems ordering through just eat but I always order directly and have never had any problems

Used to order from here every week until they started only taking orders through just eat. Now we rarely order and tonight has reminded us why. After calling just eat twice, our order finally arrived an hour late. I love the food but ordering for delivery is just asking to be disappointed.

Had an order through just eat, food arrived fast but stuff was missing on order and what we did have was not nice at all. Wont be having again.

Ordered food and it didn’t show, they said they rang me twice had no call of them? I rang them to check on it and they said they had returned our food and had to get in touch with just eat to try and sort it So I rang just eat and they made me wait 10 minutes (while getting charged) and they said they need to get “investigators” to check what happened? And they said it will take up to 48 hours for it to be looking at! All this for a food order and what a waste of time and money Would not recommend!

Never disappointed with the food

By far one of the best chip shops I've been to. At first I thought the chip shop/Chinese combo was quite unusual but seems to be the norm in Liverpool. There is plenty of selection on both types of food and it is excellent value for the quality of food you're getting. I will certainly be visiting again. And again.

On the last few times I've been they have got my order wrong and I've bin short change by the two fish wives that work there thay need nicer staff the food is very nice I would t go here unless thay got rid off the two women that work there who continue to mess up orders and fiddling the till

lovely place on lark lane, really nice staff and good food including a few veg options. the egg foo yung is massive and it's about 1.50 for a massive chip barm. Guilty pleasure if I just can't be arsed to cook. loses one star for lack of pickles.

Delicious. Great selection of all types of English and Chinese food. Also a very popular vegetarian menu. Very very clean non greasy tastey take away. Really reasonable prices and great service.

Ordered sweet sour chicken with fried rice and got some kind of mixed meat rice dish with prawns which was disgusting. Chucked it in the bin and left gutted on what was supposed to be a Friday night treat. Staff are really nice though and fish and chips was fine

Recently started ordering food from here after reading great reviews. The first time ordering the food was amazing and we thought we had found our go to chippy! However, the second time we ordered the chips were poor and all mashed together, the fish was a little dry too, but because we liked it the first time we thought we would give it another go, but this turned out to be an even bigger disappointment, some of the chips where under cooked and when bitten it to tasted like hard potato! the rice was over cooked and became sticky and soggy, the chicken and fish was chewy and the batter burnt, the only thing that still is amazing is the curry sauce! Sadly don't think we will be ordering from here for a while, maybe we will give you another chance one day Andy!!

Majority of the time decent food. Although salt n pepper sui mai was awful. Deep fried?! what's that about?!? Lost a star for it. Other than that no problems.

Of the two choices on Lark Lane, Andy's Fish & Chips is definitely the winner. Friendly staff and generous serving sizes in a great area of Lark Lane. Highly recommended!

Best chippy around here by a long shot. Food is great , staff are very polite. They always make the effort to make you feel welcome. I have lived around here for 16 years. They have proved themselves year in year out. Great chippy!
