Amazing service friendly staff reasonably priced delicious food we have been going to Anderson’s for years

I’m from England and a first time customer. The staff were friendly and efficient (the order was for 7 people and they got everything right) and I couldn’t believe how quickly it was prepared. The food was first class and the chips were the best I’d had in a long time. Will definitely be visiting again next time I’m over

I called here on evening last Sumner around 7pm as I'd read good reviews. I ordered two fish which I was told were cod and a large portion of chips to take out. I was very very disappointed and will never be back. The chips were "dead" as if they'd been lying around keeping warm and the fish was thin and dull and didn't seem like cod fillet as I'd expected. Most of it went into the bin when I arrived at my friend's house. Never again.

Called through an order then collected the collection.very prompt with order.very clean premises.

Pretty disappointed with my meal here considering its reviews. The batter on the fish was neither light nor crispy, the chips were chewy and not crisp at all, and they tasted like there was no salt or vinegar. The fish was a nice size but it was also a bit dry.

As someone who would regularly use Anderson , my fish disappointed to night heavy batter very oily, chip for the last 2 or 3rd week very soggy , disappointing 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great takeaway. Clean, good variety on the menu and reasonably priced. Chicken fillet burgers are definitely their speciality.

I get a fish every Friday and the staff are ways very friendly, always give fast service and quality of the food is better than any fish n chip shop I know. Totally recommended.

Quick service, was contemplating 3 or 4 stars with this one. The food wasn't bad, just think I was expecting more given the reviews. That's why I have given it 4. Portion size to me wasn't the best, food tasted fine. Possibly worth a try, make up your own mind about it.

First time at Anderson's. Went on recommendation and my cod supper was superb. My son had chicken goujons. He is hard to please, but said they were the nicest he's had. Will be returning very soon. Very friendly staff and all food made fresh.
