Herons Country Fried Chicken in Lisburn

Love it. A bit expensive, but the food is tasty.

I'm usually a big fan of Herons but have to say after getting from here twice I think it isn't exactly the best country fried chicken I've been too. The place itself is a little grim and dated looking, the chicken was from a heater unit with dried out meat and soggy, damp chicken coating. Update: have had visits when quality of food was much better. It wasn't really bad but wasn't really good either. Staff were friendly, good service. Updated. Have gotten better quality since. Key is to go at busier times.

Portions are no where near as big as before, especially with the price you're paying and the staff aren't the friendliest, very blunt and rude.

My go to dirty takeaway. Sliced chicken kebab on chip with cheese and chicken gravy. Ordered 2 and it was over £14 so not a cheap takeaway anymore. Small shop with quick service and they take card and cash.

Attempted to phone in my order only to have the phone answered and almost immediately put down (of course not until someone had ensured to rustle/crumple some paper nearby assumingly in an attempt to make it seem like a connection issue), after my 16th attempt at calling I arrived at the restaurant only to see that the shutter was already half down whilst they are supposedly still open. Very disappointing service.

Lovely food it gets ready fast and dead on staff and you can pay by either cash or card

Amazing food from here yesterday, I've been craving chicken sauce living in Manchester. 🤤 I got chicken kebab on chips with lashings of the delicious chicken sauce. It was fantastic, couldn't fault it. The customer service was excellent too from the friendly guy working there. Absolute bargain and maybe I'll take the guys advice and open a franchise in Manchester! I definitely hope someone does that for Belfast anyway... 😅

Call in for my normal kebab on chip to be told that cheese or salad can't be put anymore. Have to be in separate carton What is the point ? May as well go to kfc

Best non KFC fried chicken in Northern Ireland. The chicken kebab on chips is a particular favourite. Meal deals for chicken fillet burger, chips and a drink are pretty good value. Milk shakes of which there are a right few varieties are really tasty too. Card payments accepted.

If you like KFC you will love herrons I haven't had a nicer pice of chicken than herrons

If you get there too late the chicken is dry. Also the hours posted are wrong and they are closed half the time you get there

Every time I get from here the food is always amazing. Great portion sizes too. On top of quality food, Is their friendly customer service, so plesent on the phone and in the shop. Would definitely recommend

Dirt hole won't be back. Ice cream was like slurry. Bbq sauce was coloured water.

It's nice enough the only thing about them down is they re cook their chips from time to time instead of cooking fresh all the time

Good chicken, the meal deals are good value. They currently just allow 2 persons inside, but they serve fast, so, not really a problem.

Ordered a chip and a fillet of chicken and a kids fillet meal got more in the kids meal then i did with the chip and fillet.... women with blonde hair has shocking customer service been in on a number of occasions and witnessed her attitude with customers. Clearly doesnt want to be there...and also gives u the stingiest portions... wont be back

Food is nice. It's a good change from KFC. You feel better after it than you would with a KFC. But the pricing seems expensive for what you get. Staff are really good. Nice and friendly.

better to stick to what you know best ,tried here for a change from kfc,boy where we sorry ,we pid 5.80 for 2 piece ckn meal, got a wing and a drummer,in a puddle of grease buried under a load of dried up tasteless chips that looked and tasted like they had been sitting in the heater for a few hours,defo not fresh cooked,ckn tastless and terrible portion for price.wife had ckn fillet burger meal,fillet was half the size of the cold stale bun and nearly as dry as saw dust,,fillings in the burger were unbelievable,there was nearly a whole onion in there,and the bun had an enormous amount of mayo,probably to moisten the ckn,didnt work,the gravy looks like something your dog had for breakfast and threw back up,weird colour,really weird yucky flavour,hard to explain,maybe a bit like sausasage,just vile, honestly this is the worst meal my wife and i have ever eaten,we would never eat in this or any other heron branch for as long as we both live.

Great chicken pieces, and fillets. If you're really hungry go for the kebab on chips with salad and chilli sauce! Mm mmmm.

good food carry out quick service

On our long day away from home, we got rather hungry, so we bought a special lunch box offer from here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The chicken was very tasty with a crispy slightly spicy coating.

Herons Country Fried Chicken ,is every bit as nice as other famous fried chicken outlets around, In fact maybe a heck of a lot better, their counter service is outstanding, and friendly staff, Something that ,other more famous brands ,should maybe take a closer look at.......

If you are after fried chicken then this place is as good as the KFC round the corner. The menu is decent although the chips aren't great and overall not that cheap of a place but the chicken is tasty.

En mi opinión, la mejor herrons en el país. He probado unos cuantos, Newcastle, Kilkeel, etc. y encontrar el Lisburn Branch para ser el más coherente. El único inconveniente es cada vez que pedir algo con mayo es nadar en ella, y cada vez que voy me dicen la chica "avanzó una gota de mayo" jajaja. Seguid trabajando así de bien.

Lovely tasty food. Very substantial and price was good too. Staff are really nice and friendly and very attentive. First class service will be back for more for sure.

Tenía un poco de comienzos duros con esta outlet pero resultó genial en el final. El domingo por la noche nos llamaron y colocar una orden que vino a 23 libras se olvidaron dos hamburguesas, pollo y encontramos accidentalmente 2 patatas medianas. furioso por esto les envié un correo electrónico y nos quejamos y la respuesta que recibimos fue fantástica. La noche siguiente el director nos envió a nuestra casa 7 helados, 4 hamburguesas de pollo, unas patatas fritas, pollo, las bebidas gratis y la comida increíble! La hamburguesa de pollo era uno de mis favoritos precioso con lechuga, cebolla y ajo mayo!

Perfect! Much nicer chips than KFC. Try the garlic kebab! Mmmmm! There's a country fried in most towns in Northern Ireland. Well worth a visit.

This is our usual Saturday night carry out after work and I would recommend the Chicken Kebab with Garlic sauce. It is always very nice and filling. The Staff are always pleasant and do a good job.

oh don't pass this place. its yummy !!!! LOVE it, handy for a quick tea . food good quality. The 3 piece and chips to die for. Hubbie loves the chicken burger. spoilt for choice !!!
