Have called here many, many times over the years but on Saturday 13th April 3024 @ 3-20pm I received what was supposed to be a chicken maryland.Firstly I was charged £12-95 as opposed to the usual advertised price of £9-95.When I stopped on the road home to dine I was so angry with what I had paid for,it was a disgrace,no coleslaw,no peas,a little chicken and a hand-full of chips.This is my normal purchase so I know what it should be.So very, very disappointed.I hope the management have the decency to comment on this.Photo of £12-95 chicken maryland included.

Had the new smash burger - to say it was amazing is an understatement - absolutely gorgeous Staff are amazing also

I don’t think they understand the concept of a smash burger. Not only was the patty all wrong but the entire burger had no heat to the extent the cheese wasn’t even melted. The chips were top notch though and the place was very busy so you know it’s a good spot.

Always consistent and busy. Just had a single cod with the usual free handful of chips. It was very good. £-6 50 is not too bad. This time portion was average but sometimes it can be very big. But it was fresh and flaky. Staff like a bit of craic and are friendly. Highly recommended.

Popped in to order a single cod with per usual. After about 8 minutes it came which is normal. Was not as big as usual but still a fair size with a dozen chips thrown in free. It was really fresh and flaky and delish. Cost £6.50 which is ok in these inflated times. Staff are rough and ready, friendly and efficient as usual. No complaints and recommend it. Clean as well.

The girls in there are brilliant. And the crac is fantastic.

Food was excellent, you don't expect this kind of menu in a chippy. Staff were very friendly and food reasonably priced. We visited twice on our holiday, would recommend

I go here usually when I go to Lisburn Great place and Friendly Staff.

Chips were bland and undercooked. They were stodgy and not crispy at all.

Have ate takeaway food from here regularly but the food I ordered last week was awful,. The chicken burger had more batter than chicken, the chicken that was there was so thin it was overdone and crispy, really not good enough for the price. The fish was similar, mostly batter and the chips where cold and looked as if they had been left in the hot cabinet being kept warm. It was a disaster all round. I did consider phoning to let them know but the moment had passed I really don’t think they would have done anything to rectify the situation.

Very good traditional chip shop with a good varied menu, pleasant staff and fast efficient service.

Hi Stopped for lunch had sausage egg bacon chips Wife had a burger chips best chips I've had in a long time no grease, plates were allmost as hot as the food Prompt and pleasant staff And about the right price for a good portion Well done ✔️

staff where great, food was great and fresh

I travel 10miles to get a chippy from this place. Ate out of it multiple times but 1st time dine in, top marks all round with friendly service, and top marks for the food. Have to admit that dinning in is better, but when is it not 😁. Highly recommended chippy, best chippy I've had, literally ever.

Best in Lisburn, we’ve been going here for years and we live about 20 minutes away with lots of chippys near us… can’t beat it x (5stars) Edit: I love this chippy we’ve went for years like I said, but the last couple times we’ve been it’s been a bit off. Sauces are lumpy and we asked for curry and they brought us some sort of sweet gravy. Little disappointing. (3stars)

Simply the best Fish supper in the town

Has been a while since I have been in it but for both a sit-in and takeaway it became a favourite of mine for a long time! The staff, which I got to know by name wete always soo friendly and helpful, would talk away to you while you waited on your food, excellent customer service! The food range was great and the food was always amazing! A tad greasy depending on what you got but was always well cooked!

Absolutely discussed told delivery would be an hour no problem with that takes 1.45 hours food is cold phone and ask why told never to order from the shop again offered a free meal the next time or a refund take the refund option and got hung up on because I apparently lied about the delivery time and was abusive because I called 3 times to find out were my food was unbelievable absolute shocking customer service

Really not much to say, food just isn't for me. Had a large order for family so different meals and none were outstanding at all. Will give this takeaway a miss in future.

I fancied a cod portion and drove a few miles to get here. Ordered over phone and it was more or less ready when I arrived. I asked for ketchup separate and when it came to pay the lady wanted £0.50 pence extra. I refused on principle. You get it free if it is direct on your fish,so why pay for small carton? Anyway she reneged and gave it free. Left a bit of a bad taste. But the food here is good and seems to get busier. And I recommend fully. The fish was really big and at £4.95 worth it and about twelve chips thrown in.

The food is lovely, man-size portions, cosy sit in environment. Love it.

Lovely food and friendly service

Been a while since I been here. It was Easter Sunday night and they were open until 11pm. I got a plaice and a battered sausage at £5.05 that is reasonable. The plaice was good and decent size. The battered sausage had nice non greasy batter but was a bit anemic inside. But overall it was a satisfying meal with about 12 free chips thrown in. Service was quick and friendly. It is a busy place. Try it.

So disappointed with our take away meal. Chips were greasey and mushey peas cold. Only good thing was the cod so will be another couple of years before we will be back, if even then!!

As usual 5-star service... as usual five star plus food. If you haven't been there yet get in and sample the best restaurant in Lisburn at very reasonable prices.🤗🤗

First time today I got a delivery for my daughter and I never again food usually lovely today wee got chicken burgers more batter than chicken chips didn't taste very nice wont be rushing back really disappointing has put us right off

Just had my first fish super in two months. It was thanks to the on time delivery Service offered. The food was nicely cooked and non greasy. Delicious. Well done and thanks.

Lovely friendly staff. Great menu choices. Best fish l have had in a long time. Fresh white thick cod and lovely crispy light batter. Difficult access to eating area due to door only opening slightly hard for blind to negotiate.

Second time coming because the first was so good. Took one of my dementia patients and the staff were amazing both times. Couldn’t do enough. Food was gorgeous and not greasy. Really good portions. Glad we found this spot!!

Chippy cafe n lovely to go to. Staff are friendly n there is no rush Portions are large n very filling. If u don't want to sit in then go to takeaway n get a sausage supper... Well worth it

Just got chips and I have to say they are the most disgusting chips I have had ever there was as many bad ones as good and all they tasted of were fish .

I can't even describe how good this place is and value for money is outstanding definitely a must visit the hotdog range is my favorite especially when it's battered 🤤🤤

We went here today a large family 11 of us, 6 of which were children. The ladies who worked there were nothing short of amazing with the children, brought cooler chips over to occupy the young children while we looked at the menu. They have the older girls a milk shake to share, and let them all pick out their drinks. It's was great as sometimes having so many children at once can be a nightmare. The food was lovely and we didn't have to wait long at all. All round an excellent experience 😊 would definitely recommend.

Mr Thoms is a firm favourite for our family. We love coming here and come quite often. It is the nicest chippy in Lisburn, without a doubt. We often sit in, the food is lovely, their menu is massive and although some meals can be quite pricey for some people, the portions are all huge! Their fish and their burgers are a few of my favourites! If you haven’t yet been, make sure you give it a try as you can will not be disappointed!!!

If you enjoy fish and chips then this is the place for you. All the fish is freshly battered and fried to order. Chips are made on the premises (not bought in or freeze dried). Good range of food on the menu, sit in, take away or delivery available. Good value for money.

Sriived in about 8.20pm for a sit in and just made it as sit in closed 8.30pm. Staff were hesitant to let me in but eventually said ok. I got a single Cid and a battered sausage with tea,bread and butter. It came quickly. But plate was cold and free mushy peas were also cold. Tea pot had one weak tea bag. Fish was Good enough and sausage again was not hot. But the girls were very attentive and as I was late I said nothing. I would go back as food was non greasy. Portion size good. But the staff were ,5 star eventually. Go there.
