Blue Bear Grill in Lisburn

Table was still wet from it being cleaned when we were seated. Cutlery was also still wet when the server left it on the table. Ordered the fish and chips for main. Most of the chips were still a bit hard in the middle, the cod was not white it was gray and mushy, overall not a good experience.

Never had a bad meal here! One of our favourite places. Really lovely staff too. Not bad prices Only complaint is we wish there was a table or two more where the booth could be moved for wheelchair users so my fiancé doesn't have to sit at the end of the table. There's only one 2 seater booth like that and it's always taken

Absolutely shocking meal! Probably the worst we have had. £38 for x2 starters & 2 sides to share as a light bite tea. Korean chicken (3 pieces for £8) came out lukewarm and tasting musky/ stale. We nearly died when the chicken wings (12 for £15) came out and they were ridiculously small and dripping in vinegar-y buffalo sauce. 1 portion of soggy onion rings (3 for £5) and 1 portion of chips not even filled to the top. We were so shocked at how stingy the sizes were that we didn’t even know what to say when they brought it out. Table was ringing wet and menus sticky. Waited for ages to get the bill and pay, ended up having to go up to the bar as we were just forgotten about and there was a massive queue of people waiting to pay with the same issue. Would never recommend this place, it’s just gross!

Great welcome and service , got the pasta stack and my bf got the beef stack, and we are stacked out ( we are fat). it was absolutely flamidibby doisy loved it good food strong creamy sauce, perfect consistency. Got the Hot chocolate fudge cake , ( my boyfriend thought it was hot but i think it’s more like warm, !!!! false advertising!!!!) And it never came with any fruit like said in the MENU. otherwise bangin, loved the lollipopd on the way out. Always came and checked on us. would go back again definitely. Toilets are nice too. WE ARE DINO DINERS 🦕

Great decor and very clean restaurant. Food excellent. We ordered a breakfast and lite lunch meal with two hot drinks. We asked for the drinks to be brought after receipt of our meals - which they did but they were barely warm. No one came to ask whilst we were eating if everything was okay and we didn't see any staff walking past our table to complain about the drinks. Also was charged for the fries and sauce which was supposed to be included with one meal. Overall not great customer service but pleased with the food.

Such a lovely place to eat. Comfortable , clean and warm. Staff are so helpful. We had Christmas dinner and it was plentiful and perfectly cooked. Great value . We loved it so much we went back another night. Def recommend. 🎄

Food was full of salt. Chips had a horrible tasting powder on them and we got given the wrong meal twice. First time i visited it was lovely this time was a disaster. Won't be back.

We had a great time, this was a random spot we had found while traveling. Such a great location with loads of free parking. The service was amazing, our waitress was very kind, and the space felt very quaint. I ended up getting the steak with peppercorn sauce, and Mac and cheese. It was as good as it sounds. My husband ended up getting the black bear burger. "It just falls apart" referring to the brisket (I stole a small piece) sooo good. He said it was the best burger he's had, and the chips were amazing. Definitely recommend this hot spot, and we will be back for sure. Thank you so much Blue Bear staff.

Food definitely looks better than it tastes. Drinks and food took awhile to get, cocktails were a decent size but the food was basic. Staff were attentive but I would not go back there, especially for the price .

Been here a few times past year ..prices have went up..my and my daughter and son ordered a nacho starter ..(always was huge for the 3 of us)..had to say to the the girl serving..portions are small now!!..£7:50 👀..half a bag of nachos ..we bit of cheese and a few baby tomatoes and chili..naw..main course was ok suppose..daughter and son both got lasagne/chips..I got the double rump steak with champ..pepper sauce ..was ok..(honestly broke 2 teeth by the end of the meal lol 🦷🦷..honest lol..but I enjoyed it ..rump steak is tough normally like..son got a sticky toffee pudding for dessert..he really enjoyed ..so overall I can honestly say we all enjoyed it!!..( ps it was half price for the lasagna meals ..special was on)..so wasn’t to expensive..just be carefull if you order the rump!!..😬🦷😬

Amazing. We stopped for a meal before the cinema, and the food was first rate. The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy, and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Polite and attentive the whole time. Brysy F1 seal of approval 👌

We dined at Blue Bear Grill to celebrate our son's 16th Birthday. We were warmly welcomed by staff and presented with a wide choice of dishes from the menu. We ordered 3 delicious burger meals and a wrap with side orders. I ordered the Titanic burger which was fantastic. It was our first time here but we are already planning to return soon. We found the food reasonably priced and the portion sizes were generous. A real gem of a restaurant in Lisburn.

It's one of my favourite places to eat. Big, bright, and beautifully decorated . Wonderful, friendly, and efficient staff . Excellent facilities. Wheelchair accessible and plenty of parking. Situated next to a cinema and a leisure centre ❤️

Deep fried everything. Dry chicken burger (chicken covered in greasy batter). Curly fries, onion rings and bacon all dripping in oil/grease.

No taste, flavour or seasoning to the food, didn't eat it, won't be back

Burger was a dry mess and fell apart.

Me and my sister had a fabulous meal here yesterday. Everything about our visit was amazing from the lovely girl who looked after us to the amazing food. Would highly recommend this place. Big 5 🌟

The chicken was dry and overdone and nearly inedible. No one checked on our table to see if everything was OK until the plates were being cleared and then when we complained about the quality of the food there was little in the way of apologies and the recompense was taking 2 soft drinks off the bill. I would understand this had we eaten all or most of the food, but my plate was nearly untouched as the food was that poor. We will dodge here from now on!

Went there for dinner with my partner.The staff are the friendliest lv seen so far. The food was great.We both enjoyed it,only hiccup is that l asked for medium steak and got well done.It was still flavourful though.Their pina colada is to die for,l had to order another one without intending to.All in all an amazing place.Cant wait to go back.

Food was delicious , it was our son's birthday and the girl who served us picked up on this right away, she made sure he was made to feel special and did him a really special dessert and sang happy birthday 🎈🎂 made his day ... Would definitely recommend.

Food is excellent, especially Korean barbecue chicken wings (12 portion). Customer service excellent - staff made suggestions, particularly to adjust blinds as it was quite sunny as we sat down. Atmosphere very good, not too much echoing sounds throughout. Bathrooms are very clean and nice interior.

Avoid... First of all the young staff working there are excellent. The roast beef was so tough, I'm convinced it was actually a piece of leather they found lying around and tried to pass off as food. A steak knife? Pfft, I needed a chainsaw to even make a dent in that thing.And the veggies? I'm pretty sure they just pulled those straight out of the freezer and plopped them on the plate, no reheating required. It was like eating a side of icicles. But the coup de grâce had to be the chicken burger. I'm not even sure how you can mess up a chicken burger that badly, but they pulled it off. The grease alone could have lubricated the entire restaurant, and the cheese had somehow fused with the patty in a sad, hardened mess. It was like biting into a hockey puck. Overall, I'd say this place has perfected the art of culinary disaster. If you're looking to experience food the way it was never meant to be experienced, this is the spot for you!"

Tonight was able to get the fathers day menu still on , had the 12 ounce smash burger with garlic and parmesan French fries , honey chilli chicken and beef with sweet potatoe fries , noodles and sweet potatoe shoe strings , and a kinder Bueno cheesecake profiterole 😋👍

Went in and were seated almost instantly. Had a lovely young girl for our server and she couldn't of been nicer. We ordered a burger dish and a gammon and food for our youngest. Everything was faultless, the gammon was the largest I'd ever seen from any restaurant and the burger was large too but the service was pretty quick. Honestly can't fault the place. It was even very reasonably priced considering the size of the portions. It's a casual meal out but well worth it.

Just in for breakfast. It was ok. Nothing really to write home about but no complaints either.

Gnocchi in the white sauce and the blue bear chicken stack were both far below the par. Not sure if it was pre made then microwaved, but it certainly didn’t taste like a chef had made fresh, so poorly made in fact that I did not finish nor did the other diner. At 16 plus quid for each dish, absolutely not worth it. Will not be back and would not recommend. A shame as previously food was good. Staff were attentive in terms of service/getting food out. 1/5

Love this place..... Going tomorrow again

The champ with the chicken stak wasn't nice. The scallions were raw and very bitter. Everything else was OK. Service staff were excellent.

Went on Friday 15th March 6pm-8pm. Lovely staff, very quick with orders! I ordered the gammon steak… found out today 17th March I have food poisoning. Couldn’t eat yesterday at all. I noticed it wasn’t nice on the day but didn’t want to complain so stupidly ate it….now I’m paying the price

Called in for a family meal. Excellent service throughout by lovely staff. Some had steaks, some had burgers. Food was absolutely delicious. Cannot wait to go again.

We were seated easily, no wait, and placed our order majoring on pizza. Our drinks order was taken and delivered. We were sipping away at our drinks when the waiter informed us that there was no dough for pizza. While wondering what to do the starter to share arrived. Hold on. We were thinking of paying for the drinks and moving to somewhere where we can get what we actually want (pizza). Then I suggested that they don't charge for the ONE starter they brought to us and we would place new orders for the 5 of us. That seemed to be ok so we tucked into our shared starter. This one star review is not for the food. It's not for the waiting staff who were very pleasant and friendly. It's not for the lovely decor that makes it a nice dining experience. It's only for the member of staff in the blue check shirt who lifted our starter plate and seemed to take pleasure in telling us that it would remain on our bill because 'it wasn't their fault' they hadn't the ingredients to make pizza. I tried to explain how disappointed we felt that we couldn't have what we wanted to eat, and felt trapped because we started drinks, but she became very argumentative and unpleasant with us. I felt under pressure to accept what had happened for the sake of my family's outing. I've never been spoken to like that in a restaurant before. If that's their front of house management then it's a pity because we've been there a few other times and we know that the food is good when they have the ingredients to make it. Pizzas make up quite a large part of the menu and yet dough, the main ingredient to make them, is not available Saturday afternoon??? A gesture of goodwill would have rescued this dining out experience for us (The waiting staff 4* the food 4*) instead of one person throwing her weight around.

Big portions, food was very tasty, emailed to get a Reservation as had two young children but got email back they don't take Reservations for Parties less than 6 and it was first come first Served Basis. Lucky there was a table available. Young Waitress was very busy she could of been doing with help from the other staff that were there.

Blue bear has become a regular favourite of ours. We prefer it over the other restaurants surrounding. The service is second to none the staff are always so happy,friendly and chatty they are a credit to the place.. roast beef dinners are my favourite, never had a bad meal ❤️

My Wife had roast turkey dinner and I had roast beef dinner. It was absolutely delicious and best we have had in a long time. Portions were big and tasty. Definitely will be back.

Pretty good food, served quickly and very generous portions. The only gripe would be my fish and chips were served on a wooden tray, no paper underneath so I was a little worried about bacteria to be honest. However, I’ve survived to tell this tale so it was fine. My husbands sticky toffee pudding was to die for!!

Although things started off a little slow everything after this was positive. We both ordered medium steak which arrived in good time and was very good.

We're looking for a place for lunch after collecting our daughters from transfer test. We went in this place and to our surprised, breakfast and all burgers are 50% off. Food and serving is good. Highly recommend this place.

Called in for some lunch today, got seated promptly. Great food as always, attentive staff, lovely desserts and the offer they have running this week is just fabulous. All starters, desserts, cocktails and kids meals only £4.99 all day!

The food is amazing, and the desserts are killer but the one thing that was underwhelming was the atmosphere. There was music in some places and not in others and the speakers weren't sinked with eachother

Disappointing meal and atrocious customer service. Took 30 mins for food to arrive (despite not being busy). When meals eventually arrived, one meal option was just ‘OK’ the other meal, which included battered chicken, was seriously overcooked. Even a steak knife would not cut the meat… honestly!!. Chips were cold and when I raised this with the young and inexperienced waitress (who claimed to be a manager), she said she would raise it with the so called chef… Not an apology nor an explanation and no discount for the meal. It honestly was embarrassing. I alway say… vote with your feet. We won’t be back. We could have had better from a takeaway! Good luck!

Fantastic place to eat.. The Rump Steak Sizzler was fit for a king! 2 x 8oz rump steaks with all the trimmings. It felt like a food challenge but definitely worth it. Sunday was busy but there was no need to book in advance. It has a very diverse menu which catered for all in our party.. Would recommend and we will definitely be back..

Went along for a quiet family meal. The staff are very welcoming and very attentive. The menu was very expansive and covered all tastes. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a steak and chips. It was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Place was dirty, table not cleaned properly and menus had sauce on them, carpet leading to upstairs area was black. Food was very poor, had garlic bread for starter and pizza for main, both were soggy and wet, covered in oil and grease. My wife had Korean chicken for starter and pizza for main. Same story with the pizza, Covered in oil and grease leaving dough soggy and wet. Service was poor as place was clearly under staffed and everything took longer than it should have. Staff were friendly and polite but Overall poor service and poor food. Also they charge £1 for a pint of tap water. I definitely won’t be back to Blue Bear Grill. Don’t waste your time or money!

Been here a few times now after the pool with my partner and kids I really love the breakfast burrito it's so tasty!
