It’s convenient location and the post office is handy. Staff weren’t the best at the post office but that’s ok. Prices in the shop are high and there’s not everything you would expect at a local store.

I ordered travel money to go on holiday and arranged to pick it up from the post office - when I arrived at the counter the assistant sighed at me when I asked to pick the money up - I brought them my ID including my name change certificate, card I used to pay for the money, my passport and the receipt for the purchase and they refused to give it to me. The rude counter assistant even started raising her voice and pulled her mask down to shout at me. So they have left me with a refund in 5 days and no money to go on holiday tomorrow - GREAT This isn’t the first time they have been rude - I went to put some money into my account a few weeks ago and another counter assistant tutted at me because she had to count it. RUDE STAFF - POOR SERVICE

The older Indian women in the post office is the most rude and obnoxious person ever! No hello just a tut and then she huffed and puffed! I for one will not visit here again! That’s the 2nd time she has been like this! If you don’t like your job/people go and do something else!!!

Use the store regularly and love the atmosphere and product range. However the coffee/drinks arm of the business always lacks good customer service. As you charge £2.50 for a cup of tea there should be something more than just a feeling of inconvenience when being served. Furthermore, we’ve popped in for a drink one evening to be told by the server that he’d been in for 12 hours and wanted to shut, so didn’t want to make us our drinks. So as you can imagine we went round the corner to other bars on offers. The store overall is a great idea but needs customer service training throughout and some passionate retail professionals to be taken on.

This is the only convenience store in Ancoats, a fascinating place with a diverse range of offerings, selling branded groceries at massive premiums versus supermarkets, indeed up to 50% more. You wouldn’t do your weekly shop here but it is great for a number of things – unusual foods and drinks, local produce including sourdough and eggs and a Post Office which is open all hours. Would be interesting to see how their prices changed if another ‘local’ shop opened instead of yet another bar or restaurant. Most of the people who work here are super friendly (though service sometimes a tad slow), they have great coffee, cool music and a free space invaders machine too!

This shop is great for emergency grocery shopping. and for having a cup of coffee. It has fresh croissants, bread rolls, and other pastries available all day. The shop has a wide range of other food stuffs available. Local residents are fortunate in having such a well stocked shop on their doorstep.

A NOT so regular corner shop with a few VERY good additions, great coffee shop, local produce amongst the usual staples plus some more unusual items, open fairly late (not sure of the actual times). Service can sometimes be a little slow but remember you are not in a chain establishment, love it.

Trendy looking place. Lots of beer choice, mostly British but I saw some Belgian and American beers too. Friendly service. Reasonably priced beers.

Popped in here for the first time on my way to work last week and ordered a mocha. It was served in a tiny cup, was powdery and very bitter. I had two sips before deciding to throw it away. A complete waste of money! I was very disappointed as Ancoats Coffee has always been nice elsewhere. I went back in again today to give it a 2nd chance and this time ordered a flat white. I gave my feedback on the Mocha to the server, who just laughed and continued his conversation with his friend. I commented that I thought he'd do something other than laugh at my feedback to which he replied: "My coffee is consistent and if it's not to your taste it's not my problem". I commented: "That's why I thought I'd give it a second chance and order something different" He replied: "I don't need 2nd chances mate" and also stated he did not give a S*** about my feedback. I will not patronize this coffee venue again

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.

I had the vegan breakfast which exceeded my expectations, although I felt the placement of a spring roll and falafel was quite random. It was the first time I tried tofu and it was extremely nice. Even the toast was spot on! For £6, it was good value for money, especially knowing I could eat everything in the cafe without having to worry. The smoothies were nice too, but were a bit more like juice since they weren’t as thick as a smoothie. I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe as everyone was so friendly there, it really reminded me of a cafe I used to work at with its chill atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. They’re also on this fantastic app called ‘Too Good To Go’ which gives you the food a place has leftover at the end of the day at a reduced price so that it doesn’t go to waste! Definitely check it out if you want to save food from being wasted, or just fancy a surprise for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Friendly and welcoming little cafe. Lovely coffee, good service, best cakes. We had the banana bread -moist, spiced and topped with nuts and seeds- and an iced lemon polenta cake also delicious.

Revisited the cafe a couple of times last year. First in Oct where I had a sausage and egg on toast and some tea. Nothing remarkable as the sausage was of the cheap variety. Bought a couple of slices of the fruit cake which looked nice to take away and it wasn't bad! Staff were really nice and there was seating at the back, beyond the store front. Second time was for breakfast after a morning walk. We ordered 2 breakfasts - can't remember which but they were huge! Very impressed when it arrived and the sausages were of much better quality. Very pleased with what we had then but sadly the cafe isn't open as early now so we can't really go before work like we were able to in the past. The cafe has been closed for a while now but hopefully we will be able to visit for brekkie when it reopens.
