Visited here on Saturday for coffee and cake. Our original destination was full so we decided to try Ancoats Coffee and were not disappointed. Although really busy the staff were welcoming and there was room for us all. We were able to have our bicycles close by and in the dry and we were able to sit together in a wide open space, under cover and away from busy streets. The coffee and tea were very good and there was a good selection of cakes. They are all about the coffee as their name might suggest. A great find and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I visited this shop on 9th feb 2024 i asked for a cappuccino and a LARGE latte 2 toast with jam. It was over £10 which its town its expected no problem. He then asked are we staying in or taking away. We stayed in. He then brought our coffees over to us in paper cups. This bugged me so when i asked he said its because r asked for large.. what!!! So if u get a small/medium you get the luxury of a cup.. but pay extra for a large and you get a paper takeaway cup. I certainly wont be going to this coffee shop again. Buy bigger cups and cater for the people who want a large drink.

Visited Ancoats Coffee for the first time this month, and let me tell you, I am not disappointed. The staff is very polite, professional, and welcoming. It's a very cosy place love the seats by the way, good music and a good selection of items in their menu. Truly recommended it if you want to go for a good and simple breakfasts or during the day for a snack or a regular drink.

Sort of hate leaving a positive review as it's my local cafe and know it will mean it'll only get busier. But...I love this place, drinking in or taking out every week. Great coffee, snacks and cakes. But probably why I love it so much is that all of the staff are just lovely. Being open 7 days a week means they must have a large staff rota, but every time someone serves me they're just so welcoming. P.s. I do not know anyone who works here or have a stake in the company!

Ancoats Coffee Co. number one goal is to produce great coffee and that’s exactly what they do. Originally established in 2013 as a place to showcase their coffee, it’s now the perfect meeting spot for all lovers of a good roast. Based in Ancoats, you’ll find a warm coffee shop with beautiful leather armchairs, low set tables and places to hang out. We sat in the outside area which is undercover and safe from the outside elements - Manchester rain I’m looking at you. There was space to feel like we could have a talk and a laugh without intruding on those around us. We ordered two coffees which were £3ea and perfectly made. We also ordered a toastie called ‘Bahn Mi’ (£6) which had a combination of Kimchi, Tofu and some other interest ingredients. We were surprised at how good this was! The bread was super fresh and crunchy, the kimchi added a little bit of spice and it was just delicious in all ways. A surprise winner in our eyes. We also got the Biscoff Cronut (£3) and you can tell by the name that it was good. Ancoats Coffee Co is also focused on ethical and sustainable production which is a huge thumbs up from us. In our quest to find a coffeeshop more suited to our personalities, such as quiet, friendly and discreet, we made our way into Manchester to visit Ancoats. Slightly hidden away inside another building, we entered a cavern that felt more like a warehouse than a cafe, with large pillars surrounded by sacks of coffee beans. The design of the space is good, with gorgeous, stocky wood panels and low tables mixed with high. It's always nice to have different seating options. We ordered a cappuccino, a cortado, a croissant and Pain au Chocolat. All was tasty, with the cappuccino served small, thankfully bucking the trend of bucket-sized portions you find elsewhere, and the cortado was a little watery but full of flavour. The pastries were good. All was served with a little panache, with nice cups/glasses, dishes and napkins. As the shop was quiet, and the music was low and well-chosen, we could hear ourselves talk. There were not many people around on this particular weekend morning. We were given a small sample of Ancoats Coffee Beans to take home, which is a lovely touch. I wonder why this doesn't happen more often in other coffeeshops? Unfortunately, when we asked about the best grind settings for the beans, they didn't really know. Perhaps we'd asked a part-time weekend warrior, and certainly not someone who knew a lot about coffee. Our final thoughts as we left were rather good. We look forward to returning and trying a piece of cake, and perhaps a different style of coffee. We'd also like to see what it's like when it's busier. There are smaller, more comfortable coffeeshops around, and much more knowledgeable people working in them, but Ancoats left a good impression regardless.

I’m generally not one to care at all about customer service I don’t expect people to be overly nice and helpful, however the “vibe” in here was actually really uncomfortable and unfriendly and pretty awkward. When you walk into a coffee shop i at least would like to feel slightly welcome but here I just felt like I wasn’t wanted but stayed anyway as I’d already walked quite a way to get here. The coffee was pretty good small but good. The food was nice but wish there was more selection of drinks and food. The seating all seemed clean and nice just such a shame about the uncomfortable looking staff as I definitely wouldn’t return for that reason! Dog friendily it seems which is also great.

So many to choose from. Havent tried them Al yet! However I' am starting to get a wee bit annoyed by the loud man on the laptop. I don't know if I'm unlucky or if he is always there but he is always!! There!! When I go!! Not sure if the staff have noticed or not but I can't ignore it!!

This is a great find hidden away in Ancoats... I've been in a few times with friends or just to do a bit of work. Atmosphere is super cosy, there's always great tunes playing, and the coffee is awesome (it's roasted fresh on site). The staff are all super nice too, vibe is just generally super lovely. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that every single time I've been in (maybe I'm unlucky???) there's been this older guy talking loudly on the phone. (I'm not one to nitpick but this was 5/6 loud calls in the couple hours I was there) I ended up moving tables but it's just impossible to get away from how loud it is, I've honestly seen people leave because of him. Other then that it is a nice place for a coffee, shame about the resident atmosphere vacuum.
