Superb fish & chips, plus surprise 'extras' (as he was running low on chips) - we couldn't have asked for better food and service. A delightful friendly place.

Unlucky to get what looked like yesterday's donner kebab meat, if they turn on the heat on the donner walk away as it will dried outer meat from day before. Battered sausages again looked and tasted from night before refried. We were visiting Cambridge for bank holiday and not a nice start sadly. 😪😪

Came all the way from East London to visit Cambridge and called up before to ask if the fish is cooked separately from the pork sausage and he confirmed yes as I eat halal only. When I came to take the food the chips was old and been sitting there in the warm draw for gods knows how long and fish was super cold from inside. NOT RECOMMENDED !!!

I asked for a large cod and chips. When I got home I realised I had been given two small fillets. One was inedible asit had probably been there since the day before. I live locally but will not be back.

Good fish, shame they don’t do a small portion of chips- medium is too much for one person. Good service, would recommend.

Always good quality and value, however I’m done with this place, keep driving there to find it’s closed with no explanation or forewarning.

We visited this little gem of a place one weekend while in Cambridge the staff were friendly and very very helpful it was cheap as well very well cooked food We intend visiting them again

Me and my girlfriend live locally and come here fairly regularly. Service is always amazing, with a very friendly atmosphere. As for the food, all of it hits the mark so far. The beef burgers taste very succulent, the chicken tastes incredible with the perfect level of crispiness, and the vegetarian options (wraps etc.) are a very nice supplement if you aren't feeling like anything meaty. Almost forgot about the potatoes they were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. I'm personally not too keen on fish so can't speak for that part of the menu so much, but seeing as they have fish in their name, I'm sure it is as good as the rest of the stuff I've tried. I don't often go to places like this as they can get a little too greasy and dirty for my liking, but this place is perfect. Can go here knowing I wont be locking myself in the toilet later on in the evening. If you are nearby I strongly recommend this place.

Best Fish and Chips bar in Arbury road perfectly accessible in the ground floor and great prices. The Arbury Road court has several places to seat meanwhile you wait for your food!.

I give this 5 stars as I ve been in Cambridge for 3 months and this is the best takeaway all round so far. Fairly priced. Good menu. Good service. Decent food. 4 stars for each. But combined overall experience gives a five just for consistency.

I think I've had the best cod and chips in a very long while, finally a clean and tasty takeaway in the area. I really recommend it to everyone such amazing taste, service and very friendly staff!

Since the new owners took over the range and quality of the food has markedly increased and is now on par with the best chippy's that Cambridge has to offer... PS. I recommend the spicy chicken wings!

Having tried the new takeaway in the area would highly reccomend it as I havent had a extra crispy golden fish like that in a while with a generous portion, and the doner I have no words to explain how good it is, need to try it out with my reference.

I reviewed this shop over 2 years ago and feel it is time for an update. Firstly I won't change the star rating as it has kept it's immaculate cleanliness. Its standard is still high and everything about the flavours in here are perfect. Even though most of the menu options are fried, nothing feels greasy and you don't smell of a fry up when leaving the shop. Not sure how they manage to keep this public /customer area so clean. I'm sure some of the negative reviews are either Fake reviews or inadequate for this place. Clearly the owners have a pride in hygiene and look after their food in order to be fresh and non greasy. Great Fish and Chip shop, everything is made very well and doesn't taste greasy. Clearly they use clean oil and the shop is immaculately clean. I highly recommend it as one of the beat fish and chips I've been to.

The best fish and chips in North Cambridge

The fish was juicy inside the crispy batter. The chips were crispy and delicious. You don't have places to eat in, but the playground nearby has benches that are perfect for a picnic. The portions were generous and one fish is enough for two or three. My son chose the jumbo size one with large chips and we had to freeze it. Very good when warmed up few days later too. I also tried the cod fish roe. It was awesome!

Great little fish and chips, with a good selection of other edibles too. decent prices and the fella sin here were very friendly. Recently moved to the area, and first time having the food from here, very tasty, not greasy like some places. I will be coming back again soon! (most likely Christmas Eve!)

Excellent, freshly cooked, quality fish and chips as well as Pukka pies, sausages and chicken. Warm and friendly staff, spotlessly clean and a fast efficient service. Cannot fault it in any way.

The food is over priced for the potion size and cold. There are much better chip shops in the area, serving better quality food.

Last two visits have been really disappointing, chips are just warm not hot while the fish is a good temperature and tasty, but because of the poor quality of the chips I can only award 2 stars

Looks to have been put under new management since the last review. This place has a food hygiene rating of 5/5 displayed outside and the chips I had seemed the usual British fish 'n' chip shop fare. I didn't have a battered good but the ones in the heater did look nicely fried and crispy.
