Just average, not bad not good but the worst onion bhaji's, supermarket style pattie, not enough onion too much flour, just not crispy!

Delicious food, well prepared and delivered with more than a smile... in fact from the minute you enter the front door staff make you feel more than just 'welcome'. This is the type of curry house that deserves all the accolades it gets. Menu choice is excellent and although we didn't go for the buffet (we will definitely try it next time), the value for money is spot on. If you haven't tried Kilbirnie's must visit diner, it is well worth a visit. Very impressed!

The naan breads are stunning. The service is great. Shame the sauces are thin and lack punch. My biggest problem though is how little meet there was. It is simply taking the bleep. I really feel sorry for someone who likes rice as iam giving it 3 stars just for the naan!!

I have both sat in for a meal and ordered takeaway from here several times and it has never disappointed. The curries are tasty, the portions are generous and their vegetable pakora has got to be my favourite that I have had from anywhere. They also do great pizzas for takeaway and they are always generously topped and perfectly baked, I would highly recommend the Anaya's special pizza. I will need to return for dinner soon.

OK 3 is abit harsh but here is why 1..... the table base means your legs are at a funny angle as you can't put your feet on the floor. The base is massive. The poppadoms came at the same time as the starter..... why? The food though is good The pashwari nan omg is the best I have ever eaten.. and it's big...... oh and hot lol as it had clearly just been made.... I feel I should say more about its thickness and taste but no... just buy one. Heat... like a lot of places if you do like heat a 2 out of 3 heat will be very mild for you.... simply ask them to make it a bit hotter

Been using Anayas for several years now. Always ok. Not the best but definitely not the worst in the area. I nearly fell off my seat on Friday when I went to order a takeaway. Prices have increased around 50% in the last while. Yet another opportunist using the current situation to get greedy. Let’s be honest it’s cheap ingredients and not fine dining. It’s where you go when you can’t be bothered cooking. Sadly won’t be back.

I've been a couple of times recently and found the food from the main menu (although huge portions) to be very oily. Service is dependent on whoever attends to you, ranging from good to mediocre. My main disappointment, however, is that when the restaurant clears at around 9pm (is that a local thing?) we feel pressurised to leave as soon as possible afterwards: no offer of dessert or tea/coffee, staff loitering with an air of intent to table-wipe at a moment's notice, zilch atmosphere and no effort to create one. We wouldn't want to sit until midnight but for some of us a meal out IS a night out, not just a precurser to something else.

It is a couple of years since I visited Anaya’s and was delighted to find the same delicious ,Asian cuisine.I had forgotten the huge sharing platter of starters which is a great appetiser. All of our dishes were welcomed with great enthusiasm and the generous portions I remembered. My chicken tandoori was cooked to perfection, deep spicy flavour yet melt- in - mouth tender. My only suggestion(nothing to do with the food or the friendly attentive staff)could the budget run to some new carpet for the vestibule and replacement tiles around the sign. The appearance ,as you enter does not reflect the hidden joys which await you inside.

Delivery of food took two hours of which the full order wasn’t delivered. No juice was delivered as they then told me “they had no bottles left” and if wanted them to pick one up from the shops they would have to charge £2.50 extra for another delivery. The staff are friendly and the food is generally good although it can be a little hit and miss. We use Anayas fairly regularly when we fancy an Indian or need a quick bite. I like the fact that they are not too heavy handed with the spice in a good selection of dishes, many with a fruity theme. I do like the choice and difference of approach. The downside is that sometimes the meat can be a little tough, especially the lamb and the sauces can be watery. When they are on form though there is nothing locally to match.

Had read the reviews of this place and was really looking forward to trying their buffet but was a little disappointed by it. Starters were brought to the table but were just your typical pakora, chicken wings etc and nothing different or special. I had the chicken korma and chicken tikka chasni for mains and they were just ok, nothing special. Nans and poppadoms were good. Good value for money at £10.00 per person but wouldn't rush back.

This review deals with the takeaway business only. Have used twice in last six weeks. First order for a tikka kebab was delivered very quickly but I was overcharged by driver and given a donner instead of tikka kebab (big difference). Whilst resolved, takes away from the experience. Most recently, ordered two curries on a Saturday night. The order took two hours to be delivered. Appreciate there was still some local snow but at least advise the customer on delays/rough ETA. Food is always good but the order and delivery quality needs to be reviewed and improved.

Went along on a monday night and gave drinks orders a d at no point was i made aware that ot wasnt a buffett (as such) rather it was a "table top" buffet. This is when they dupe you to come in but are miserable to actually have stuff available in a buffet but they give you stuff out. I got vegitarian pakora which was probably made on the saturday before. Very dry. The waiting staff seemed to be awkwardly watching over you constantly like they new some they dont. I asked why it wasnt a buffet and the waiter said because he forgot to turn it on (? Whatever?) .... i like a buffet so you can try a little bit of this and that and go back for more if you like. I was told i can order from the menu i wanted to try different things so i asked if i could have a vegetable curry and a korma. .. each came and each were poor. Considering that about 50% of the population in india are hindu that the vegitarian dishes where the worst ive sampled. Frozed diced vegetables in a bland sauce. No potatos no lovely cauliflower or mushroons. Nope just tiny bits of vegetables. Poor show do they actually think that we dont know what they do??? ... wont go back. Ever.

I must admit i'm not a fan of buffet. Ive been to a few in Glasgow and Paisley and got the usual look warm food with too much salt.So after a not so great pizza when the place first opened, to say I was sceptical was an under statement. The wife told me that her friends kept recommending the place, so finally I relented. We were sat in a romantic booth, immediately poppadoms and spiced onions were served then a platter of mixed pakora. When we were ready it was up to the buffet for a fusion of three different curry's (my choice). The Chicken was tender, it was all hot and for buffet.....very tasty. (Yes I have had bad experience in other buffet places). Faddy was on hand to recommend desserts, I tried to eat one but after a sizable main meal, I wasted most of the dessert. Decor, dark but romantic, food: actually really amazing compared to other buffet places I have been to but best of all.....the service.Muhammed is keen to ensure you have a good night, Faddy and Saj are good for a natter with and the young girls are on hand to make sure you get everything in a timely manner. How much did I spend on a meal for two including drinks.....£25..... I've paid a lot more for a lot worse, it's the first buffet place that I've tried that I'd actually return to.Well worth another visit

We opted for the 'a la carte' but in hindsight we should have went for the buffet after I saw the prices for the individual dishes which I thought were a bit expensive and for me to say that, living in London is something but the food was really good. I did ask for my curry to have lamb in it but I got chicken but I did mention that to the staff so the extra price wasn't added to the bill. We all enjoyed our curries which all had the same type of chicken then mixed in with the different sauces but they were all tasty and fresh. If we were to go again then we'd opt for the buffet. No issues over my allergies or taking away what I could not finish. Well done people. Thank you very much. SAM

Called at 5pm to order dinner and it didn't come until 6.20, we ordered chicken pakora without salad, it came with salad and chicken korma, it wasn't very hot when it came so I had to reheat it in the oven adding another 10mins onto it, very disappointed in the time it took, don't think I'd order from them again.

New venue , Friendly staff , good food to dine or takeaway , has played host to current First Minister and her entourage. Great Indian cuisine , with varied choice. , and not too expensive.

Have been in here a few times and never been disappointed. Friendly staff, great service and good food. You will not find better value for money, £10 buffet includes popadoms, large plate of mixed starters, loads of varied currys, rice and nan bread then a huge selection of sweets ! If you prefer you can order from the menu (would recommend the mixed tandoori)The drinks are also very well priced. You will need to book at the weekend, no wonder !

We travelled from Glasgow to Kilbirnie on Saturday 11th July after Anaya's being recommended by many friends. I can say it was definitely worth the drive. The food was beyond delicious, the staff were so friendly and the service second to none. The restaurant itself is beautifully modern inside and had a very relaxed atmosphere. There is lots of choice on the menu, and the hardest decision was what to opt for! I had the chicken karahi whilst friends had the chicken chasni and south Indian garlic chilli chicken - everyone was extremely pleased with their choices. We will definitely be back to sample more of the lovely dishes on offer. All in all a great experience. Thank you to all at Anaya's for the great service.

Reading the other reviews It seems we maybe have been very unlucky but really there's no excuse for the experience.Firstly I should say this is about a takeaway order not a restaurant meal, however the food will be the same.Seriously the worst " Indian " food we have ever eaten.Part of our order was missing which they tried to charge us for again. The tandoori chicken was really dreadful, a soggy tandoori paste clinging to the chicken, awful artificial chemical taste to it.The pizza was freezing cold which should have given alarm bells as the two people who only ate the pizza have been unwell, after only eating a a small amount each, ask to tasted odd.No way I'd ever eat from here again. As I say loads of good reviews on here which i just cannot understand.

This is a gem of an indian restaurant. The food is fabulous with lovely flavours and the staff so friendly. A real family feel to the place. There is a regular buffet, set menu at certain times and the a la carte. The owners are rightly proud of what they have achieved in just over a year of ownership. Good price drinks too.We travel over from Largs and this is the best indian restaurant in North Ayrshire.

Although not normally an Indian Restaurant fan I found this one very good. They offer a Buffet or a full A la Carte menu. All the usual favourites are available at very acceptable prices. Definitely would recommend Anaya's.

My boyfriend and I dined here on 14th June. We opted for the buffet. Complimentary poppadoms and dips arrived. I asked if they could make me a milder dip and they brought out a lovely yogurt and mint dip. The starter platter is huge. The potato fritters are delicious. Mains were beautiful. Lamb was so tender and the recommendation of the chicken tikka chasni went down a treat. South Indian garlic chilli chicken was hot hot hot but so tasty. The desserts are lovely and a big choice. We love eating here. 2 pints of lager and a soft drink. Under £39. Great value for money x

My second visit to Anaya's,only 20minutes from Renfrewshire, where weekend booking is recommended. At 6.30pm the was already full of buzz being attended by a pleasant, smiling staff who move efficiently around this busy venue.A family group of five,we opted for the buffet.Poppadoms and dips arrived promptly with our drinks, followed by a huge platter of various tasty starters...better than we had experienced in many more expensive Asian restaurants. The buffet itself is well supervised with a choice of rices and naan breads to accompany a good selection of curried dishes to please all palates.A delicious assortment of desserts are presented in a refrigerated cabinet. At £10 per head I could not believe the value for money for such an extensive menu

The buffet here at Anayas is tremendous value and the staff attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Starters are freshly cooked and main courses very tasty, extensive choice and regularly refreshed so why not 5 stars? It's little things ... poppadoms are a bit greasy and come broken up in a basket whilst they would be more appetising served whole.Nan breads are chopped up and kept hot in the buffet so quickly become leathery and unappealing. Another similar Indian buffet restaurant we go to takes your order for the type of nan you want, cooks and deliveries fresh to the table.Desserts are never going to be a high point but some gulab jamon (if I'm being really picky, served hot with ice cream) would be appreciatedAll that being said we never fail to enjoy our meals here.

I love Indian food and took my Daughter as she had never had Indian food before and now we are regulars. The food is Fabulous and the staff cannot do enough for you and my Daughter won't go to any other Indian so it's a trip to Kilbirnie from Largs on a regular basis but it's worth it and the Buffet is the best buffet I have had and very reasonable

Used to love this restaurant 30 years ago. Seems the kitchen don't know how to make any curry, side or bread these days. The sauces we ordered were an absolute joke - weirdly coloured and flavoured. Mushroom rice - rice with fried mushrooms chucked in as an oily afterthought. Stuffed paratha was an actual wrap. A wrap bought from a supermarket and pretending to be paratha. Saag paneer was more saad paneer. Won't be back to this place, it's too far gone now
