By far the best curry in Largs. Restaurant is nice to dine in but also do delivery and take away. Can get paneer in any/ all of the curries but unfortunately it is not grilled before being added to the sauce.

Needed an escape from the continuous turkey just after Christmas. Best decision ever!

Good staf friendly environment

Great find, definitely recommended. Food is excellent, service is excellent, ‘new’ decor (we last visited a few years ago) is modern but understated- pleasant- and having traveled in India quite a bit we found the food extremely good (Ie for uk/Scotland) and definitely a cut above average. Make sure to book. And if you like those garish coloured dayglo colored starters this place is not for you. For the record we demolished excellent papadoms and accompanying relishes, tandoori lamb (seekh) kebabs, mushroom pilau and chicken biryani. We will be back.

Managed to get a table at 17:45 if I vacated it for 18:30, it was rushed and we expected that...main delivered before finishing the starter. £5.00 garlic & coriander nann bread definitely not freshly made, frozen type and heated up!...bit steeply priced in comparison to my local Indian restaurants and freshly made. Main was OK.. Staff were pleasant and friendly enough, can't fault them. 2nd time we have eaten here and our 1st experience was not much different (not rushed that time)...unfortunately think we'll skip it from now on.

We have been going out in Largs for years and only just tried this restaurant. I must say I and glad we did as we had a wonderful evening. The food was amazing, great choice of dishes to suit both myself and my wife as we are vegetarian. The staff was super friendly and all this for what was a very reasonable price. Will definitely book again and start working our way through the other curry options.

First Indian meal since lockdown. Tasty. September 2023. Class meal. Portion sizes reduced and prices increased sincelast visit. Still wins on quality of food. The rice was perfect and sharing dish at starters was top class, some sort of potato in batter. Like a Scottish snack. If your old enough to remember them.

We were in here last night as went to largs a run with my daughter and grandson who are on holiday from Australia and the food was amazing also 1st class service my daughter wanted Indian food before she goes back and certainly made her night thank you all very much please give the place a visit as you won't be disappointed its excellent

Had a good sit-in meal in this restaurant at Christmas. However, this Just Eat takeaway was pretty dire. £41 for pakora, Chicken Karachi, Lamb Biryani and a Nan bread. The pakora was very far from fresh, the main courses were mediocre, and the Naan bread was simply inedible. It was thin, tough and tasted like it had been warmed up. Altogether very poor value and not a good meal at all.

Never ordered from them and don’t intend to. Somehow someone has given them my mobile number by mistake so I get text messages every couple of days telling me offers which would be great if I didn’t happen to live in WALES!!!! I have tried replying to the texts and also left a comment on their website but still the messages keep coming. If their food is anything like their marketing I’m guessing the meat in their curries is spam.

The food was terrible.The vegetable pakora had no vegetables within and was inedible. The chicken pakora was supposedly cooked in a clay dish with all sorts of delicious ingredients in the sauce. I ate a little and dumped the rest. It was obviously a sauce from a jar and not a good one at that. never again...

Wonderful Indian food. Very happy with our order and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Placed our order earlier today and it was delivered within 5 mins of the scheduled time.

Ordered 2 combo starters as there was four of us. Only 2 chicken chaat between 4 of us. Queried this and was told that was normal. Requested more chicken chaat which we got. Why would you serve one of something for a combo for 2? Main meals were lovely and enjoyed the thinner naan bread.

Atmosphere is lovely and friendly, food did not take long to come and it was delicious, garlic bread is amazing 😋

Terrible service took my order at ten to ten at night online and my money said the food was being prepared and that it would be 38 minutes. To then receive a phone call to say it was cancelled as it closed at ten and that I would receive a refund in 3 to 5 days. Why take the order in the first place? shocking service will never order again.

Good restaurant, first time we have visited it. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was very good, with items on the menu that were new to us. Happy to go back again anytime.

Got a takeaway and was not impressed.. Ordered a large mixed kebab, says it came with salad had none also all that was in it was a nan bread and 6 bits of meat, cost me £13.95. Will definitely not be ordering from you's again

Been a few times but don't think I'll be going again. The last time I went, we were waiting on our main courses for an hour and no one came round to ask if we wanted a refill of a drink or to let us know why it was taking so long.

Family Feast - £48.95 + £2.50 for chicken pakora upgrade + £0.50 service charge even though I collected it. Hogmanay dinner with friends totally ruined with probably the worst Indian food I’ve ever experienced. My expectations were reasonably high…I hadn’t been to the Koh-I-Noor for a few years but previous visits had always been consistently positive. This time was so different and it is so disappointing to report that the only item considered adequate was the rice. Every other aspect of the meal was sub-standard. The poppadoms were soft and stale. Naan Breads were flat, stale and chewy with the best description being that of cardboard. The pakora was soggy and limp. The chicken chaat was dry and stringy. All four main meals were oily. What has happened to this place? Very poor.

Terrible food stale Naan, worst South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken I’ve ever had, full of chunks of green peppers and onion, pakora as dry as a stick, the last meal I had from here was poor, but I thought I’d give them another chance as the food used to be good, big mistake by me.

Just finished eating. Ordered a delivery, arrived hot and beautiful.... No gross stodge. It was absolutely delicious.... Would defo recommend! Only 1 wee minor issue.... Couldn't order a wee tub of curry sauce to go with the dry stuff. Other than that it was brilliant!

Usually excellent service but this time the tracker didn't update, and the food arrived cold.

My partner and I visited here, whilst on holiday. It did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our Tikka Masala and Garlic Masala, which were both bursting with flavour. I would highly recommend visiting here, if you're looking for a tasty curry house!

Nearly £40 for 2 curries and a Nan and about half a chicken breast in each curry! Absolute joke

Excellent! Best meal out in a long time. Authentic food cooked to perfection. A bit of a wait, but that isn't a bad thing if you're looking for freshly cooked. So, the wait certainly worth it. Would highly recommend this busy little restaurant. Booking advised.

From 1st entering we where met with a warm friendly welcome, the food was sublime and very fast to brought out, my wife and I are originally from Glasgow and are huge Indian food fans, this meal was simply the best sit in Indian we've ever had. Anyone wanting a top quality Indian meal at very reasonable prices we cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Thanks guys for a wonderful meal.

Unfortunately we got off to a bad start. We both ordered the onion bhajis as we have done in many Indians before. We should of realised when they arrived looking like bright red patties. They were beyond hot and I even asked for some yogurt dip to try to cool them. Didn’t work at all ! When we complained to the manager he told us they sold hundreds with no complaints however did take them off the bill. The rest of the meal was mediocre and unfortunately this restaurant isn’t for us.

Great Indian restaurant with excellent menu

Had high hopes from the off, the website was easy to use and a great choice of dishes on the menu. Collected as arranged, meal was ready on time. No welcome on arrival, I told the guy serving my collection name and handed over £50, the change was placed in my hand, no eye contact, no thank you he just turned his back on me and started muttering to another member of staff. I can deal with that. The food I couldn’t deal with, from the first mouthful I knew it was bad. The naan was dry and obviously not fresh, the ‘chefs special’ chicken, prawn and pineapple curry definitely wasn’t chicken, tasted more like turkey, it had 2 small prawns in it and the sauce was full of oil. Both me and my father in law both found hairs in our curries. The biryani had ‘gritty’ bits in it and was thrown in the bin after a few mouthfuls. An honest review from an honest family. What a disappointment. Won’t be returning.

Fantastic Indian restaurant, first class food and prices

Ordered a carry out on a Saturday evening. Meal for one plus extra portion of spiced onions. Collected. The bill was meant to be £16.05 but we were charged £16.25 by the electronic till. If they do that with every bill they will make some money. Not right if you ask me. I didn’t challenge.

Lovely little place in Largs. Food is excellent, but portion sizes could be doing with being a little larger in some cases. Licences premises too. So you can enjoy a little tiffle with your favourite dish. Recommend this place easily, despite my last portion size........ Enjoy

Managed to get a table at short notice and the food was good value for the price. Just under £11 a head for a main meal and side.

Nice meal only complaint £2.95 per can of juice for 2 grandkids, my wife didnt like her dish said it was tasteless and bland ,we eat Indian food on a regular basis so maybee just used to better places ie our regular restaurant but in here on an easter break ,service was good ,portions to me were poor my lamb chatinad had 5 bits of lamb for £11.50 but was nice kids had european food which they liked .

If I could have given a zero I would. We decided to order a takeaway. Wish we hadn’t Has to be the worst curry we’ve had ever. They really need to up their game. The chicken was overdone and the Nan bread was flat and inedible. The chicken pakora was dry and felt it had been lying for a while then reheated. Come on guys what’s up with you? Do you not have any pride in your cooking? Won’t be going back

Seems to be a hit and a miss with this Indian restaurant I've had good meals in the past but the last twice was really bad the lamb was full of fat and the chicken was tough as old boots when I complained about the lamb the management told me there lamb was fat free when I showed him the fat he struggled to see it he then said I complained before about the lamb so it would be better if I never ordered again. I wasn't going to anyway but not a good attitude to run a business

We’ve been to the Koh I Noor a few times both dining in and for takeaway and usually been very happy with the quality. Sadly, this time was very different. Most of the dishes were running in oil and the mushroom bhaji we ordered was virtually inedible - and cost nearly £7! The chicken on my main meal was badly over cooked and the sauce tasted almost completely of salt. We won’t be returning.

Menu not clear enough so bought extra rice, so ended up with three bags of rice the worst experience ever, meat and chicken was tough, rice not cooked enough sauce had no taste of garlic nor had the chicken pieces. Really not value for money

Excellent food better than the usual Indian fayre. Highly recommend the vegetable Rogan Josh. Will be back soon.

We got a take away from here. Meal deal for 3 people but only got one mixed pakora between us, was quite suprised on how little you got in comparison to other Indian restaurants. There was barely any chicken in the curries aswell so i ate a lot of sauce and rice. The curries were okay, but again I have tasted better. Out the three I tried the butter chicken was probably the best.

Koh I Noor is my favourite Indian restaurant by far. Being a local to Largs I feel very spoilt having this restaurant on my door step. The food is always fresh and always very tasty. Both in restaurant and through delivery.

Paid £37 for a set meal for 3. 11 (3 were scraps) bits of pakora in the starter (for 3 people) Nan bread was more like a tortilla. Goan Chicken tikka contained no tikka’d chicken.

Pretty poor. Every holiday we go to an indian. Alil family tradition. Waited 45 mins as a walk in to collect. Spent nearly £40 for not that much really. Pretty simler every time (strange food habits i know) Cost £23 at our last place on a special saving £7. Chicken was dry. Peshwari was definitely not fresh. Really dissapointed. We will be coming back to Largs bit not to this Indian. Sadly disspointed.

Me and my partner got a carry out yesterday - butter chicken and a chicken bhuna and the chicken was inedible in both dishes - it was dry and tough as old boots - think it must have been a reheat. It went straight into the bin. Other reviews for here look really good so maybe I’ll sit in next time and see how it is. I wish we could get an Indian restaurant here in Millport where I live.

My n hubby went as a walk in, was greated by a lovely gentleman who led us to a table in a booth. We had poppadoms and pickle tray with a lager. Followed by a gorgeous curry . Highly recommend the food and the service

It was a great experience here. First we were confused what to eat here when learned that not all of the menu was halal. However, after having a negotiation I ordered prawn cocktail. I have to say it was a good and delicious one. The prawns were properly presented and seasoned. Then the waiting staff confirmed us that Chicken Tikka was halal. We then ordered two of them. I must say we didn't regret of ordering them. It was delicious and properly cooked. I have to give 💯 to this restaurant. Thanks for having us after all we didn't have a reservation.

3 hours for carry out delivery 🤬 after being told it would be1 hour and 15 minutes , not good enough

First time tried and home delivery. Brilliant service, food hot and fast service. Will definitely be back, good value.

1st order was a takeaway delivery not long after pandemic "lock down" - flavour was good (considering), but arrived over 2 hours late & cold. Decided to take a chance & ordered again, but this time it was collected in person at the exact time it was ordered & accepted for. Again, flavour was good, but it was cold (again) when we got it home (max 10 minute car journey). Good flavour isn't enough, if it's cold when you come to eat it. Doubt we'll order again. Edit 04/01/21: Pleased to say Koh-i-noor seem to have got their act together now. Decided to have one more try & collected another order in November. Was piping hot this time. Two more delivery orders since - 15 minutes late (arrived as I was telephoning) & lastly, 10 minutes EARLY (!). All still hot when received. Food quality is v.good, so all considered, faith (nearly) restored 100%.
