First visit amazing food very attentive staff booked to return

I love Turkish food so it is a massive disappointment for me that I will not dine at this restaurant again. The food was not the traditional Turkish food I was hoping for ( I’ve been married to a Turk for 10 years so I know what I’m talking about) I started to wander if the cook is even Turkish? There was a group of 12 who were REALLY loud , we could not hear ourselves nor the music playing . Very annoying, we thought that this group could have been seated upstairs away from everyone else, so that we could all enjoy our evening. The staff were lovely and professional but overall huge disappointment. Will not go again nor do I recommend.

Don't leave reviews often, but this place deserves one to make people aware what to expect. Overcrowded, people at the next table shouting laughing loud, small tables. Food, the worst I ever had in restaurant, really more suitable for pets, also overpriced. For that kind of money should be premium quality delivered, but that's not the case. Avoid at all costs and find somewhere else to eat!!!

Service great, even though very, very busy. Staff very friendly and polite. Prices very reasonable. But best of all, the food, in our opinion, is the best Turkish food we have had outside of Turkey ... Reminded us of our holidays in Turkey, very authentic. If we ever visit Carlisle again we will definitely be back.

Best Turkish restaurant, food was on spot with reasonable prices. Loved the atmosphere. Waiter was kind. Baklava and Turkish tea was delicious too. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovely meal here a few weeks ago! Very underrated restaurant in Carlisle. I'm vegetarian and didn't struggle for options. Fairly reasonable prices, we will return 😃

Amazing Food with a wonderful atmosphere and service. It was pretty busy when we went but all the staff were wonderful and helpful. Food was delicious and authentic. If you are after a taste of the Mediterranean in Carlisle I would highly recommend a visit here.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Such amazing food with a range of delicate flavours. There are so many different dishes to choose from and we've tried something different every time we've been in. The service is fantastic and great recommendations too.

Totally overcooked lamb, swimming in oil, got refunded no quibble. Turkish sauvignon blanc wine is tasteless.

Superb food! We've been four times now, and every time has been a great experience. Generous portions of delicious food. We had the cold mezze for a starter, and it was wonderful – a big platter heaped with different dips and a decent basket of lovely bread. Then veggie kebab and iskander for mains – they're both so good, we keep ordering the same thing! The staff are really friendly and know what they're doing, and the place generally has a good vibe.

We had an excellent select of Turkish cuisine on Sunday night served by lovely friendly staff. A big thanks. We will certainly return

Very tasty food and good service

Very reasonably priced, had 2 main courses, 2 desserts and 4 drinks for under £70. Excellent food, we shared a doner kebab and a flat bread. Quick service. And not pestered for the table back by a certain time even though I only booked it the night before and they were busy. Will definitely go again.

First time visit after hearing great reviews from friends have to say friendly staff great you on entry escort you to your table, then you are treated like royalty. Had the hot meze for starter wife had garlic mushrooms then for main I had mixed kebab ( chilli 🌶 sauce is hot ) bare this in mind. Wife had ..can't remember. First class service additional birthday platter I never asked for I only mentioned the booking was for my wife's birthday...which restaurant do you know that does that free and gives you free shots. A nice place with great food. Mustapha was a very nice host and recommend him. The service is excellent. Located opposite the historic Carlisle castle.

A great night out with friends. The meal was lovely, not a great deal of choice for vegetarians just three main courses but not complaining. Prices reasonable for a city centre. Only possible complaint was the coffee was only warm not hot. Very hospitable staff, worked hard to make sure we had a good time. Free liqueurs at the end of the night! (or shots as they seem to be called now)

Realy enjoyed this place. I can only say one thing I wasn't happy about and that was the dressing on the salad I think that should be left off for people to add if they want it as I disliked it so I couldn't eat the salad as it was all over it other than that the food was lovely.

Being of Turkish Cypriot descent, I was so pleased to have some authentic Turkish cooking in my home town. It doesn't disappoint! Lovely restaurant, brilliant menu, the best staff and the food.... Sublime! Been over 10 times now and always looking forward to the next visit. Top notch! Perfection!

Last minute booking for a meal here & they were really helpful in fitting us in. The food was delicious, full of flavour & we struggled to finish the whole plate as there was so much. The service was pretty quick, polite & friendly, all at a reasonable price too. We would definitely visit again if we're in the area. The only gripe I would say was the sound of the waitress boots marching up & down as she served other guests, it sounded like a full on march was taking place each time she passed, maybe something a little softer under foot may be more appropriate for the ears.

We had a really nice lunch there and really enjoyed it. We ordered Sucuk and Saiara Boregi for starters and Chicken Kebab and Minced lamb Pide for mains, which were very tasty. I especially liked their homemade chilli and garlic sauces which were very delicious. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

I have been to Anatolia a few times now, every visit has been excellent! Their menu has a variety of options suitable for individuals and groups; We had the Cold Mix Meze to start and the 'Anatolia Special 1' for our group, it was very flavourful and filling, and great value for money! I'd also happily recommend the Chicken Iskender and Sucuklu Pide (no.4) too! If you've not been to Anatolia for a meal with friends/family then you're seriously missing out on trying this amazing food!

I've been here twice. The first time they told us we'd have to hurry up because we hadn't booked and it was Friday night. Fair enough. They seated us and served us quickly and food was good. Second time my wife was slightly disappointed with her moussaka as it contained no aubergine and was dry. Still good service.

Dishes are HUGE!! Only needed to get the main course...food was seasoned very well...on my salmon they added chips, with frozen peas and carrots which was nice as it was unexpected but not necessary as everything else was fresh and extremely tasty. Would go again.

We visited over the weekend as we were staying in Silloth. Our two children were very tired after a 30 minute drive to the restaurant but the staff couldn’t have been any more accommodating. They were very friendly and understanding and even offered us a table in a quieter area for the children. The food was served quickly and was extremely good. The staff went above and beyond and would highly recommend this restaurant. Hope to visit again. Thank you

Lovely lunchtime meal, 2 of us shared the starter of mix mezi dish all vegetarian, and very tasty. Mains of lamb kebab and vegetarian moussaka which was delicious, the portions were huge. Definitely a restaurant to recommend and will for sure be back.

Wow! Amazing service and excellent food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even on a very busy Saturday evening. Best customer service I have ever experienced and the most delicious food I have had in a long time. Thank you so much for getting me a table at short notice. I hope to be back again before leaving Carlisle on Wednesday. Highly recommend without any hesitation.

Who knew that Turkish food could be so tasty? Besides the traditionally spiced and prepared foods, the restaurant also offered Turkish beer and wines. I had the Efe (sorry if I misspelled it) to wash down my charcoal grilled chicken wings over rice and vegetables. My other dining partners had the lamb and chicken casseroles respectively. I would totally recommend this establishment.

We were the only people in for lunch. Amato at the end of the street was booked out, but this place was empty despite having great food. Would advise walking the extra 50 yards.

The food is always fantastic. The staff are always incredibly friendly. Great atmosphere, and just a lovely place to eat food. My partner can’t talk highly enough of the vegetarian options which she loves.

We had dinner here tonight for my brother's birthday. There was 15 of us. The atmosphere was great with a lovely warm and friendly welcome. The food was delicious. We had a stuffed vine leaves, garlic mushrooms with meat mousakka and chicken kebab for main. Very reasonably priced and good service too.
