Anatolia Turkish Kitchen in Portsmouth

I recently dined at Anatolia Turkish Kitchen and had an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. What truly stood out was the amazing staff; they were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend Anatolia Turkish Kitchen to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Called in tonight after seeing the reviews and we weren't disappointed!! Had the sharing platter between 3, loads of beautifully bbq'd meats, fresh warm bread and dips. The chilli sauce was amazing 😍 Good value, super friendly... we'll definitely be back when collecting our daughter from uni.

I came in for the first time and it was superb the lamb shish was lush and tender cooked to perfection props to the chef and it was accompanied by excellent customer service. If i could put more than 5 stars i would . Definitely will be coming back more often with friends and family

I love my kebabs and have had a few, including in Istanbul and ismar. This is a game changer. You can tell the Quality of the ingredients and always cooked to perfection. Even the salad is great. Thoroughly recommend

Updated: Compared to the first few times of visits - We have revisited again twice with bad outcomes. The first time it was so cold in the seating area we decided to leave before ordering so not to be disappointed. The second was our sons birthday and he chose to eat here - was freezing but we decided to stick with it. Ordered food and the quality/care just wasn't there. Sadly, now it's just another kebab shop in the area trying to be premium. When i went to pay the bill - I told the cook who was working on the till as well that im not paying for some of the meat (which was left - lamb, chicken kofte and chicken doner) he replied with 'oh yes it's burnt' my reply 'you cooked it and served it like that, so this will be the last time we visit'. Gutted because as a family we loved it here. Visited here on a Tuesday evening to dine in. Very happy to say after living in Portsmouth for 6 years and missing a decent 'London' kebab and trying a majority in the local and surrounding areas - this is easily the best one! We ordered a starter of ezme (not on the menu but trust me is a must try) and a mix kebab for our main. Both courses came with freshly cooked bread. The quality of meat was delicious. Cooked and prepared by people that care about the quality of food they produce and their customers. Very reasonable pricing for what you recieve. Nice sized portions and friendly service. Only small criticisms are the selection of sugar free drinks and high chair availability which when mentioned he said it will be rectified for next time. Definitely recommend sitting in. Disabled/pram access also.

Me and family staying in here till 1st Jan...we ordered lovely family meal ...and all was perfect ... meat cooked as we wanted...veggies was fresh and amazing home made spicy sauce yummy... We tried several Mediterranean cuisines in Portsmouth, but Anatolian far best...so thank You all and don't be shy to order...not gonna be disappointed...

We ordered for a sharing platter in the New Year's eve for our whole family. They prepared meat how exactly we wanted (well-done) and also gifted us their home made meze with rice pudding. We loved their service, food and amazing customer service. Delivery was on time with their friendly staff. And we highly recommend them, as we tried other places during our stay in Portsmouth, we can say they are the best so far. Thank you and Happy New Year Anatolia Turkish Kitchen :)) !

I came to this restraint to see what all the hype was about as I saw their great reviews and they are well deserved 5 stars across the board from the food to the service everything was excellent. The lamb shish was extremely tender and juicy. I highly recommend anyone living locally to come here for the best food and experience. I will be coming here more often thank you very much

As an Italian chef this restraunt really blew me away. The food is exquisite and superb, truly superb. I ordered a large lamb shish and the meat was very tender and flavourful which was complimented by the amazing service by the friendly staff. I must also say the portions are very big and you get what you pay for . Highly recommended will be coming back again very soon

By far the best Turkish restaurant in the area. Wonderful customer service, the owners/ managers are so very friendly and welcoming. They seem happy to offer samples of their delicious food and traditional drinks and the rice is cooked perfectly too! A definite must if you like Turkish food.

I'm from North London so I know good Turkish food. Anatolia was great. We stopped here on our way back from a cycle ride. Farhan looked after us well and let us bring our bikes in the restaurant. I had lamb chops and the Anatolian mixed grill, which was proper grand on a big platter. Come here!

Fantastically friendly staff who treat you like a long lost friend and may even give you the tradional Turkish tea while you wait, as they always have for me. The food is always top quality no matter what, they made no trade offs or exceptions. These are people who really know how to cook their cuisine. I honestly cannot rate this place highly enough I would give 6 stars if I could. I have been to Greece and Turkey and the food on my visits were lovely, but this place is even better than what I experienced there and it is on our doorstep. Oh and the prices are very reasonable to. Thanks for the great food and friendly service guys!

My girlfriend got the the mixed doner with lamb and chicken but the chicken doner was too oily for our liking. However, everything else on the menu is absolutely delicious.

An absolutely stonking place. On my list of faves that I’m happy to take friends to. I love their approach to food. Freshly made, from meats, breads plus spicy salad! The meats are tasty, well marinated and not over seasoned. Also love their authentic and herby chilli sauce. Always friendly and polite service. We are made to feel very welcome whether eat in or take out. A+.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My daughter was banging on about how amazing the food is at Anatolia. She wasn’t wrong. Oh my goodness, I’ve been to Turkey quite a few times, and also eaten at various Turkish restaurants around London and in Surrey and have never tasted such fabulous food. Everything is home made, from the gorgeous bread served with fresh ezme sauce, ti beautifully cooked lamb Shish with rice or chips (we shared) and the freshest side salad and garlic sauce. I cleaned my plate with total joy in every morsel consumed. People, vote with your feet and go and eat at this restaurant. You will not regret it. It’s well worth a drive if you’re not immediately local.

Tried this kebab shop tonight. As local one was busy. Expected alot for £36. The Anatolia special which was 6 kebabs in one box. 2 pittas salad that never came with meal & rice. Had to call shop. To re deliver salad . By this time main meal cold. 6 kebabs more like 2. No lamb donor hardly any other meats apart from Kofte. Where's the lamb shish. Worst kebab ever had. Will not try here again. Terrible. This was a delivery.

Tried this place tonight for the first time. I have always been put off by the higher priced menu but think it is worth it if you’re looking for a better quality kebab. Met the owner and he and his staff are very friendly and clearly has passion for authentic food. I will be returning in the near future.

The best kebab you will eat outside of Turkey. Everything is so fresh and tasty and the owners and staff are some of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. Everything is made from scratch and absolutely 10/10 delicious.

Some amazing food I haven't tried everything just yet but one thing when I had a donner kebab at the bottom there is some oil or something and after a little time eating it goes cold and the food gets stuck in it if there is any way of draining it or something so there isn't no oil or every little is working be a 6/5 stars as it really was lovely that was the only let down. I really like how the salad had its only area never seen that before and made the salad part delicious 😋

Where do I even start, this place was honestly the most amazing restaurant i have ever been too. The staff were amazing and so respectful they made me feel so welcomed. The meat was so grilled and perfectly cooked I’ve never been to a restaurant with meat being so well cooked however this place was so different. The rice was top tier it tasted so good. The environment was so clean and the food looked really fresh, It was one of the best Turkish foods I’ve had in ages. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that would like to go and try some delicious Turkish food. Will definitely for sure be going again soon!!
