Amran Tandoori in South Lanarkshire

Twice now, they’ve said I was “confused about my order brother” while laughing as they took the call. I got the wrong order a few months ago, which actually got resolved, but tonight they were nothing but rude and unprofessional. They’re unfortunately turning into the worst Indian in the area.

Another great curry tonight. Chicken is always cooked perfectly. Kebabs and pakora are fantastic too. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.

First of all they got my order wrong. Secondly the chicken and lamb was so dry and overcooked it was barely edible. Worst kebabs ever. Will not be back. Truly awful

Felt really unwell for 24hrs after I ate only 1/3 of my meal. Binned rest 🤨

Amazing curries. Had the Ceylonese Korma. One of my favourites from Amran. Generous portions. I've ordered many a time with nothing but good experiences

been ordering here for years always my go to for a takeaway, good pricing and fast services you can walk in and leave with your food in just a couple minutes no need to wait ages.

Never even delivered and then did not answer my phone calls I would advise anyone to think twice ordering from Uber eats I have put complaint in

Ordered kebab and can of juice. No can of juice with order and it looked as if the delivery driver had got his grubby little hands on the food as it was tampered with and the seal on the box was broken. Will never use this takeaway again.

Was a perfect dinner. Would recommend the lamb curry on offer: I had lamb kadaai… was great . If you fancy a spicy treat go for it … 👍👍

Got a munchie box from here and it was disgusting to say the least won't be back here for food that's for sure.

1st and last time ordering meal was cold did offer to send a replacement but no point would probably be cold again. Had to heat up kebab in microwave to be edible but I won't eat reheated meat my husband did chips cold and soggy

Very disappointed with our order. Items were missing but this was quickly rectified. The korma hoagie was bland & soggy. My daughter could not eat it . Other food was just ok. I don't recommend this takeawy at all.

Please don’t purchase a meal from this take away!! Having bought chicken kebab and doner kebab and chicken pakora. The kebabs were disgusting chicken was like rubber and the doner I wouldn’t have fed to a dog! The chicken pakora was so dry and obviously reheated it was impossible to eat even if you wanted to the whole meal was a total waste of money and not to mention the upset stomach! Avoid at all costs! First and last time for us.!!

First & Last! Pakora was as dry as a bone and most definitely yesterdays reheated. My daughter almost broke her tooth on the fries which were soggy at first then solid as soon as they hit they were exposed to the air! Pizzas were as dry as a bone also so much so my husband phoned another 2 pizzas from a different take away as these were not only cold but not fit for human consumption!!!! Waste of money!!!

Ordered food at 18.38pm and did not arrive until 20.30pm, food was inedible and went straight in the bin, only reason it gets 1 star is because you can't leave 0

Check your change when you visit here Got a medium chicken pakora Paid with a £20 note ,given £3.50 change, told the guy I'd given him £20 ,he gives me another £10 ,no apology I pointed to the menu, Medium chicken pakora £5.95, He goes back to the till and gives me another 55 pence change I won't be back

Had an amazing delivery carryout from the Amran in Bothwell on Saturday. Great flavours, portions and value!!! Cauliflower pakora (exceptionally light) chicken bhoona with fried rice, Chicken tikka and Donna mix kebab.which incl salad and sauce. Totally delish !!!! Delivered hot and fast by friendly driver. We're local so can't wait for my next delivery !!! Yum !!

Used the amran tandoori for years went in tonight for chicken pakora which is usually £4.75 guy behind the counter pulled out another paper menu and charged me £5.95 for a portion in a polystyrene box with about 9 small bits before it was always a bag with at least 16 bits. I wont be back

First time used and most certainly won’t go back or would I recommend it to anyone. Chips were cheap inedible hardly any curry sauce and what you could taste was just terrible. It’s clear that cost saving is more important than customers satisfaction.

Quite possibly the worst Indian takeway I've ever had, and I've had a lot. My girlfriend and I live locally and she swore by Amran as being high quality. It was anything but. Pakora was lukewarm and as dry as a bone when it arrived. We ordered a bhuna and garm hot pot - chicken was massively overcooked in both and basically rubber, pretty much inedible. We threw most of it in the bin and I resent having paid £25 for this "meal". Mercifully the nan breads were fine, which is the only reason it gets 1 star. My gf actually apologised to me for suggesting we go here. Never again.

Ordered a deliver to my work , large chips and cheese , chips donna meat with onions and garlic mayo and never showed up !!!! Shocking and discusted with this shop now went a 12 hr shift with no food thanks to this shop , not a call from them or nothing !!!!!😡😡😡😡

Waited over a hour for delivery called back to say I didn't want cold food my order finally came a hour and a half later pakora was cold chicken tikka kebab was warmish pitta bread was burnt overall was very disappointing and a waste of money never order from them again

Stopped tonight just passing thru and got a chicken pakora and it was abosolutly vile i think it was off i eat a lot of pakora and it has to be the worst i have ever had

I have been using the Amran for years with no issues however,. Ordered pizza last week, it was totally raw. Waited an hour for replacement. Picked up mixed kebab tonight 30th dec 19, around 5.00 o clock No kebab meat, seekh lamb and chicken kebabs were cremated, un eatable, dog actually turned its nose up and walked away. Salad consisted of onion and cabbage only, shocking. Phoned to complain, was told they can only bring another out after four delivery's had been delivered, and put phone down... phoned back at 18.00 told it was en route, what they all say I suppose. It is now 18.30, still no sign of replacement. I dont know if george still owns Amran, but I will never ever use again.......

Ordered 2 Quarter pounder cheeseburger meals ! (How hard can that be) The Burgers were cremated, the rolls were solid ,chips were very greasy! No salad in bag! Not My fault! You have to make a (special request) for it! Even though they charge you for it! My Wife went mental with Me and took them back. Wtf Amran.

Good tasty food, amazing pakora portions, marked down a star as last time the usually top notch chicken pakora had a weird fishy taste. Maybe avoid when it's super busy!

Tried for the first time tonight. Really pleased with service and food. We had the south indian garlic chilli chicken which was beautiful with plenty of chicken in dish. We will certainly be using again

Under new management. Funny how i saw same manger 4 times in that shop behind counter at till...mmmmm

Food was fine, when it arrived. 100 metres away, took 85 mins, Was told 20. Drink included but not delivered, would have been overcharged by a tenner if I hadn't spotted it quickly. Wouldn't recommend, maybe just a delivery problem?

Waited 80 minutes for delivery. Chicken was cold and dry There was liquid in the bottom of the chicken dishes that had poured out into the bag and marked my table cover Used to be great but I must say not impressed at all ☹️

Masters with their food... proper cooked Indian cuisine. Worth the wait as it’s always made fresh

The shop and food are really good however what they don't know is that their delivery driver KM is an idiot who has been disrespectful to customers whom he chooses to, he lets the business down by thinking his bosses won't know what he is like making jestures and comments with his friend who goes as a passenger with him an immature young man whom I would never have working in my business. I'm offended tonight by his behaviour time for you to mature young man.

Been going here for nearly 20 years best kebabs in Scotland

2 hours we waited for a delivery. Phoned up twice and got nothing but cheek from the owner. And saying they came tonthe door twice when they never came at all!! Walked up to the take away and got more cheek

One of the worst kebabs I've ever had, was so thick and under cooked. The bottom of the tray was floded with grease making the nan bread uneatable. Would not recomend nor with be going back.

So disappointed with the last 2 visits, ordered chicken kebabs and both times it was burnt and black.

Curry is the best south India garlic chillie is fab and the garlic nan has real garlic butter on even the kebabs and pizza is fantastic everything fresh the chicken pakora is fantastic always fresh cannot fault anything the tandoori mix grill is always cooked fresh no reheats at this place 10/10 for all the chefs would highly recomend

Quality take away. Very clean and you can watch your food being cooked. Recomended!
