It’s a shame this place has a few dodgy reviews as it looks like they’re down to poor management only. The two young waiters were really lovely, their mothers should be proud. And the food was lovely, just right for the price! It was lovely sitting outside in the sun ☀️

Very poor , the chef didn't know how to cook mussels and they came uncooked 😡 that's so dangerous! Main course wasn't any better, wrong pasta' I ordered the seafood linguine and I got spaghetti overcooked and very bland taste overall, as for the seafood 🤨 well that turned into only prawns 😮 Beautiful looking place Lovely inside, spacious. Front of house staff were great 👍 Could be amazing restaurant with the wright chef 😉 Unfortunately I can only give this restaurant 3 out of 10.. Poor....

Had a lovely meal in here tonight. The 2 young waiters worked hard to make sure everyone was served. The pizzas we had were amazing as were our starters. Would come back if in Berwick again. Was busy for a Monday night.

I've traveled from Scotland for a bottomless brunch as advertised daily 12 till 5 after booking I'm very disappointed as we've been told there is a funeral upstairs. This is our anniversary and we've been told the manager is to busy to speak to us. The front of house think her name is something like malinca( short blond hair) she refused to tell me her name when asked... Rude!!!! Also wrongly accused me of abuse toward her. Other staff were great!!!!! Update manager did come to see me and she said I abused her staff and the can change the menu anytime they want. Very very bad advertising.

Sunday lunch for 4 adults. Food was lovely, hot, tasty & plentiful. The young staff members were welcoming, courteous polite & attentive. The restaurant is well laid out clean & spacious. Would recommend for couples & families alike.

This restaurant is a gem for Sunday lunches! Highly recommend for the quality of the food, the service was realky friendly and the cost was extremely reasonable for 4 people. Cannot recommend it any higher!

This very large restaurant was very quiet, in fact I think we were there only customers so it was really relaxed. The food was really nice, the staff made us very welcome and were professional and very helpful and the restaurant was very comfortable. Reasonable wine list. Good location in the town. The menu is varied and delicious. Staff helpfull friendly and attentive. Must go to restaurant if you are in the area.

Lovely dining experience. Very beautiful decorations in the restaurant and the food is so good great chef, the soup of the day especially was excellent!

I ended up coming here 2 days in a row. Don't think I've ever been to a restaurant twice in 2 days. That should say it all, but I'll go into more detail. The restaurant itself looks lovely, has nice decor, and has a wide open plan space. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food itself was great, Pizza was up there with some of the best I've had in Scotland. Everything was freshly made to order, and it really shined through with the flavour. It was very reasonably priced aswell for what you get. If you are in the area or live local this is the perfect spot for a date, birthday party or even just a solo scran that won't break the bank. Highly recommend.

Me and my fiancé went here for dinner and we were well greeted and straight away, noticed a very loud and drunk party behind us which we were concerned about. However the younger male member of staff immediately came to us pleasantly and told us they'd be leaving soon. He was very attentive and dealt with my fiancé's questions around vegetarian options well. We had the warm bread selection which was lovely and then we both had the 3 cheese arancini which was crispy (if I'm being picky, I'd say just slightly overdone) but still really nice. I had the Diavoli pizza, which was really nice. Not too spicy but had a good kick to it. The missus had baked camembert and she said it was cooked perfectly. During our meal, there was a guy who was in the party of noisy drunks, they had all left but he was that drunk he couldn't stand up and they left him sitting there on his own and he wouldn't leave. It was a bit awkward as they needed to call the police in the end to have him removed but the manager came over to us, apologised and told us our meal would be discounted. We figured it would be 10% or something, but she actually took £20 off the bill. Amazing service, really good food, shame about the noisy party but if it hadn't have been for them, it would have been a perfect evening meal out. Staff were excellent and did all they could and yeah, we were shocked and delighted with the discount. Wholeheartedly recommend.

In September I visited and wrote this Hey, Visited as part of the Hotel I was staying in, the hotel staff told me “feel free to visit the restaurant bar connected” I went in, served by a lovely young girl and I asked for a table for one. She said “sure, let me check to see if we have any free tables, we have some bookings” when the cafe manager came across and looked me up and down, rolled her eyes and rudely said “you no having booking?” Erm no, I’m staying at the hotel sorry. “So no booking!?” No. “No booking, no table” after a repeat of this for a few minutes and the utter rude attitude given by the cafe manager (that’s what her badge said) I decided I’ll just leave it. Can’t comment on the food, however decor looked nice and the young girl who served me was nice, shame the manager let me down. I found how I was spoken to was very rude and honestly gave me such a bad image of probably what would have been a nice restaurant However speaking to them on social media they said they would investigate and write a formal email to me regarding this, which I decided I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, removed my review and thought we could deal with matters. However after a couple of weeks I heard nothing, they said they have emailed me but I have no email and when I chase it up it comes to a dead end.

Called in for lunch two soups and soft drinks, strange decor not the warmest place. Admittedly it was extremely cold outside.

Had a lovely meal came here for a holiday. Food was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and sweet.

Disappointing Experience at Amore Restaurant As regulars at Amore, we looked forward to Sunday Lunch, confident in the quality of food and service we’ve come to expect. While the food itself was to a satisfactory standard, we were deeply disappointed by the service, which fell far below what we are used to at this establishment. We understand the restaurant was busy; however, we’ve seen it far busier in the past without issue. The major issue today was the lack of efficient service. Despite having plenty of staff on duty, none seemed particularly observant or aware of the tables around them. We had staff repeatedly walking past our table to the kitchen empty-handed, seemingly oblivious to plates that needed clearing. After finishing our main course, it took 15 minutes of waiting before we finally had to ask for the plates to be removed. It also took an unusually long time for our order to be taken initially. In previous visits, we’ve always felt warmly welcomed and treated with care. Today, there was a noticeable absence of organization and no apparent leadership among the staff. The lack of coordination was striking, leaving us feeling neglected rather than valued as we have on prior visits. Sadly, this experience has left us feeling sad and disappointed… We will not be returning!

I had a seafood risotto. The dish was well filled, but not very warm and neither tasty. Elsewhere in the reviews I have read that spices were missed. I can only confirm. The young servants are doing what needs to be done. The noise coming from the boxes was so loud that I have asked to turn it down. Then it was better but still, it’s a beautifully stylish restaurant. Why must the music be at the level of a nightclub? Other people have written about it too. Is it the young staff that doesn’t know or the management that doesn’t care?

Lunch time deal, fantastic value, generous servings and really tasty.

Went into Berwick on a very rainy Wednesday afternoon, looking for somewhere to escape the drudgery, came across a sign for Amore, they do a lunch special of 3 courses for only £12.95. The place was nicely decorated, and the service was quick and friendly. The food was very tasty and with great value. Recommended, and not just to escape the rain.

3 of us had lunch today have to say the food and portion size was amazing we will be back

A few glitches with the processes behind the service (mistakes with orders) but the staff were amazing and the food was good.

We visited recently and didn't have a table booked, so kindly they found us somewhere to sit. They told us there was an Approx hours wait for food which we accepted (the waitresses were lovely) , but it took half an hour to even take our drinks order, and we were sat in a colder overspill area at the back. No atmosphere, poor quality food & overpriced for what it was. Thankfully we were passing through and did not read any reviews beforehand. Has potential and may be better when reserving a table but overall a poor experience.

Not really a restaurant as you have to order at till, collect your own drinks, you also have to describe where you are sitting bearing in mind you have never been so have no idea what to say, staff have no idea what they are doing, a member of staff asked me if she should answer the phone ! Outside garden is lovely and unexpected. Won't return.

My partner and I was there yesterday, we got our order taken in just a few minutes the food was lovely it took them half an hour to clear our table and I asked the waitress if we could order puddings and we were also going to order a few more drinks and the waitress said she would be back, 40 minutes later she still never came over so we ended up just paying for what we had and left

Went to Amore restaurant for my birthday as we happened to be in Berwick and we were seated at a corner table away from most other tables, (even though the place was virtually empty and did not start to fill up for about half an hour), next to a table of 8 bottomless brunchers who had numerous trays of cocktails being delivered and consumed at a rapid pace and therefore very noisy, so much so that I could not hold a conversation with my wife, I let it slide as did not want to make a fuss. My starter of garlic mushrooms arrived and were tepid going on cold and my main of beer battered haddock should have been called beer battered batter as there was virtually no haddock inside, the chips were greasy and the spoonful of mushy peas were straight out of a can. On the plus side my wife's starter of bruschetta and main of chicken breast was lovely. The servers were very good and apologised for my cold garlic mushrooms, but no offer of a bill deduction for the poor food provided.

Poor service and dirty tables outside with bird mess and lots of old drinks bottles and glasses left out. Such a pity as it looked like a lovely spot however staff were not particularly on the ball! I waited for 5 minutes to be served at the bar and had to ask a waitress twice before she left to find staff. Drinks were quite expensive, even by 2024s standards and although we were going to order food we decided not to after the poor bar service. Food looked quite uninspiring and certainly not something I was worried about missing out on. Such a shame as the venue has potential however, a messy outdoor area in the height of summer wasn't particularly welcoming. Tidy up and ensure staff are around to serve in a timely manner.

Excellent service, plenty of helpful staff, delicious pizza.

I got very mixed impressions: the spaghetti carbonara were quite good while the insalata caprese was extremely disappointing: the tomatoes were of the cheapest kind, totally unripe and this in the height of summer! The mozzarella was supposed to be buffala but it didn’t taste at all like buffala and probably it wasn’t. I told the waitress but there came no reaction and the salad was charged fully on the bill. Could it be they think so far north nobody knows about Italian cuisine?

Lady supervisor rude and not customer focused. Obviously not interested in sales. Kitchen rule the staff, too busy so wouldn't serve us. Did have table reserved at 8.30 were the kitchen busy??

I had seafood risotto that was absolutely divine, and my friend had the sea bass and gnocchi. Both tasted fresh and delicious and were almost perfectly cooked. The wait staff were young, but I absolutely cannot fault their service. Absolutely top-notch. Can I give more than 5*?

I've got to be honest, I was sat near to the hatch where you can see the kitchen staff cooking. Hygiene was shocking, if I'd seen it before I'd eaten I would never of touched the food.

Best food in the whole of berwick, food came within 10 minutes of ordering and quality wise you really can't get much better than what was given here

Hi guys just before I publish this review,we have been in a few times and every time the staff has changed,so what is wrong, Was in Friday 21 june,2 waiters on,had reservations done through Dojo, was seated quickly, ordered drinks quickly, ordered food when the drinks came back,all very quick, but this is when it starts to go wrong,we ordered soup and pizza off the lunch time menu,and after 20 minutes my wife could see the 2waiters were looking at our table,and went back to the till area,we think what had happened was the waiter that took our food menu had not put it through the till, still waiting and nothing said to us,the the cutlery came, one soup spoon and one desert spoon,the the waiter that took the order brought the soup over,30 minutes now,my wife asked if everything was ok,no answer, The food was good and good portions and prices, but if it is too busy, because we seen them taking food outside,more staff is needed

I ordered a takeaway, the service was very good. Sadly the food was not so good. All measurements are relative, so Amore was rustic authentic, and bland.Whereas my local pizza shop is a another level, far superior. I ordered a Margherita pizza, a garlic bread and linguine Bolognese. It was impossible to distinguish between the pizza and the garlic bread and both were disappointing. The Bolognese was bland, no seasoning, no flavour, and half of what we ordered went in the bin uneaten. I don't like to give negative feedback, it's not to put people off, it's to give you an opportunity to do something different.

Great music. Interesting place worth a visit

Music was so loud that we needed to shout to be heard. This wasn't during the evening or live music but a Saturday lunchtime. The food was nice but the burger was a little pink inside, not to everyone's taste.

For lunch we ordered the favorites menu chicken pie 2× and beef pie 1× including a lovely local pint of beer. The pies were served with red cabbage and freshly cooked/fried and salted, all looking very nice and tasted great. With the meal we also enjoyed a lovely red and a white glass of wine. The driver had a diet coke 😊Service was great and very friendly. Compliments.

Unfortunately, substance over form. The place seems to be of a high standard, but the food is underseasoned and generally tasteless. The service saves the situation and the atmospheric music. The toilet is a nightmare, needs immediate renovation!!!

Looked closed as we walked up Greeted by member of staff at door who explained you can eat in beer garden or inside. We opted to sit outside as weather was nice Girl cleaning tables disinterested. Called in for lunch 2 courses £10.95 approx. Gorgeous Spag bol and served hot which we prefer rather than slightly warm. Very good size portion. We both had Apple crumble definetly the best I have tasted in a long long time. Never ever tasted crumble like it before, it had a lovely crunch to it and came with a large jug of custard tasting very creamery. Nearly forgot the hubby had chicken,pancetta and cream sauce. Will defintly be back very soon. They also do a takeaway service. Compliments to the chief

Excellent & great value for money...stopped here on Sunday 4 of us had the Sunday lunch and food was Excellent ..1 course £8.95 ..2 courses £10.95 ..3 courses £12.95. Give this place a try cracking value for money,they also do a bottomless brunch which is worth looking at.

Don't be confused this is a nightclub that also happens to serve food. It's an all you can drink for £25 kind of place, with blasting music and drunk people. Not a family restaurant. What a let down.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. 3 courses for £12.95. Soup you could literally stand your spoon up in. Excellent tasty pizza and creamy, full of flavour ice cream. Brilliant table service (Natasha per the bill) with humor, politeness and a big smile. On a grizzly drizzly day, this place was a rainbow oasis. Definitely making another visit here soon.

I was going to give this place a swerve due to the rating. Very glad I didn't, the food was really good. I would recommend the pork belly and black pudding. Service was attentive but will dock a star as, management take note, you cannot understaff a reteraunt and deliver on customer service. Far too much to expect one person to handle.

Well presented delicious food. We ate on a quite Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Went on Saturday night for a mates 18th, could not fault anything. Zoltan and Romany went the extra mile 100% deserve a pay rise.

Service is a real let down for the place. Been once before and the food was nice but a friend and I went and after 40 minutes of no service we decided to leave. On the website it says bottomless brunch 12-5 any day - we went on Saturday and were told no because there wasn’t enough servers..seems a bit unfair when there are paying customers for the service, willing to pay even after 40 minutes. In the end we ended up leaving even before getting a drink. Had to go and collect our own menus as none were brought over to us. It’s appalling.

Wow! What an amazing restaurant for brunch! Food and cocktails were top notch, great value, fabulous staff and lovely decor. Kieran cocktails were excellent with him and Natasha and her two young female team members - all were so nice and professional. Next time I'm in Berwick-upon-Tweed, I'll definitely visit. Had a 3 course Sunday lunch 4 of us enjoyed the lunch food was very good and the friendly service from Molly was exceptional thank you to Molly and the rest of the restaurant staff

Had an absolutely brilliant evening at Amore. Food was delicious, drinks were fabulous and the service was excellent. All in all a great night.

Compared to previous incarnations of this restaurant the service was good. Thats where the platitudes end. We both had cheeseburger and fries ( even though my partner ordered thick cut chips ). The burger was both overcooked and bland the cheese was visible but i have yet to taste it. Onion rings were not visible as they were forgotten ( did arrive after asking ). The fries were edible. All this served the right side of lukewarm . Disappointing to say the least.

Absolute waste of 90 minutes waiting for food which still didn’t appear. Restaurant full of customers waiting, parties of 4 getting food brought out in dribs and drabs. Told only serving Sunday lunch & kids menu - fair enough but observed a table of 6 served burger meals?? Felt very sorry for waiting staff- I heard the chef working on the ‘hot plate’ being very very obnoxious towards the waiters, saw him throw pots & pans on the floor, screaming for spaghetti to another chef in the next room!!! He was stood doing absolutely nothing but moan at staff the full 90 mins - I was sat directly in front of him so I absolutely wasn’t mistaken in any way. Atmosphere was the worst I’ve very experienced in a restaurant- ever!! We dine out a lot. Great shame as we were regulars- never again. Gave 1 star for chefs service but all waiting staff were doing the best they could. Staff work well under good professional management. Management needs overhaul & A new head chef.

Booked a meal for my birthday on Sunday night, and was looking forward to trying the mushroom risotto, only to be told when we arrived that they only do the Sunday lunch roast menu all day on Sundays. We should have been told this when we booked. Was not happy. Would only rate the food served as average. Parsnips and carrots looked like they had been cooked hours before and chicken was tough.

Just had an excellent meal at Amore Berwick on Tweed. Best meal I have had in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed the pork chop and sides. Staff are lovely . Can't recommend this highly enough

Service wasn't great, waited a while to be served, then it was hit and miss if we got asked again, we ended up ordering at the bar, so not sure if it's table service or not! Food was nice but wasn't hot. Asked about choices of desserts, still waiting for the answer.....Would like to say they were busy but sadly the poor service wasn't down to be being busy. All was not bad, my husband did end up with seagull poo on his head after a fly by (which made me laugh) off to do the lottery now

Very good food, friendly and attentive staff, nice background music actually. We had starters, pasta and pizza, all really nice but especially the dessert tiramisu and profiterole were amazing.

Myself and my husband ate here yesterday. We had garlic bread with tomato and chilli as a starter and a pasta dish each. It was delicious, very authentic and the ingredients were great quality. We will definitely return

Arrived at 12:30. Didn’t receive food until 14:30. When the food did arrive, they had got the order wrong. When challenged, a member of staff said they focus on serving Sunday roast dinners over their normal menu. In an Italian restaurant. Bizarre.

The mussels were great, and pasta here is just like in Italy. Delicious!

The food was super tasty, very special.
