6 of us for a meal and it was excellent. Food was fresh tasted lovely and arrived together and quickly. Staff were very friendly and professional . We will be returning. Thankyou for a fantastic experience.

The best tasting meal! A Cozy and authentic atmosphere. An Italian family owned business. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. The pizzas are great (and big), the pastas are creamy and full of flavour.

I love Amore, one of my favourite restaurants. The atmosphere is always good and the food is outstanding. Favourite is the pasta alla pollo but most of the pasta dishes are exceptional

Recommended by my sister in law, this was a lunchtime visit for a lot of our family. Great, welcoming location. Friendly staff. Large menu choice which transpired into wonderful tasty meals. Really worth a visit

This is a hidden gem. I never book as I am not sure when I will be in the area with work, however never been let down for a table & tonight no exception. Explained to me that the restaurant was busy, yes Monday & very busy. Enjoyed a glass of the house red which was delightful. Bruchetta alla Romana to start, this must be the best ever tasted. Two pieces of bread, laced with garlic, ripe tomatoes, olive oil & balsamic. Best I've tasted. Lasagna for mains & it was very moorish. For those who don't comprehend Moorish, it's a Lancastrian term for bloody great, smashing. Home made, fresh pasta, lashings of ragu & cheese toppings. Topped off with a generous dollop of Parmeasan. All in all I have to say 10/10.

Portion sizes got smaller and price increased. Sorry but won't return. My food was cold but they did provide me with another portion that was smaller than the first.

On my way back to bristol from basingstoke, I stopped by Amore in Overton, and i had a very good afternoon. The food here is amazing, the staff are very professional and welcoming. I will be back in the future to try some more of their tasty food.

Group of 6 went for an evening meal. Food was good but service was appalling. It was as if none of them had any training in how to serve customers! Once sat down we wrongly assumed someone would take a drinks order but no. It was as if the staff were avoiding eye contact with us to avoid having to serve us. Gents toilet had clearly not been properly cleaned for a long time . We won't be returning any time soon.

Lovely restaurant for a relaxed meal. This was our first visit and we went for a birthday meal. The staff were attentive but there was no rushing. We had plenty of room although the restaurant felt cosy. We were a party of 6 and we all enjoyed our meals, which were fresh, hot and tasty.

Second year running I celebrated my birthday with family & friends at Amore. The ambiance as expected is very warm & welcoming with a fantastic team that greet you at the entrance. Freshly prepared food with great flavour furthermore cooked to perfection and presented well. The staff are truly amazing, making every effort to cater to the needs of guests. Very disappointing. After reading the reviews we chose this restaurant to celebrate my father’s birthday. Unfortunately the meal and service wasn’t as expected. We ordered 3 steaks and my wife ordered a cannelloni. The Cannelloni was dry and bland and was not what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. All the steak meals were cold and one of the steaks was very fatty with hardly any meat. The service was inconsistent. The female server was lovely however the younger gentleman seemed very arrogant and didn’t really feel like her wanted to be there. All in all a very disappointing evening and we will not be returning. Such a shame

I stopped off for lunch (only 4 miles from the A303), down a country road. A set lunch (2 course) for a very reasonable price, in a pleasant restaurant. I don't think they have had a solo diner for a while, judging by the way the chef had a peek!🤓. Not difficult to park (on the day I dined).

I had booked for four of us but two ladies were ill. Two of us had the set lunch for £12.95. We both chose lasagne as our main course. It was delicious - maybe the best I’ve ever had. We followed that with panacotta with a fruit purée on top. Very delicious. Compared to a pub lunch a few days ago which was more expensive the food at Amore was well cooked, presented beautifully and we didn’t wait long. The service is excellent and the restaurant was cosy. The set lunch price is so reasonable too. I shall certainly return.

We organised lunch at Amore last Saturday for a large (20+ people) group. We can't speak highly enough of how helpful the staff were during the pre-booking of the menu choices, nor how attentive, friendly and helpful they were on the day. To top it all off the food was delicious, plentiful and quickly delivered. This was not our first visit, and probably won't be our last. Highly recommended.

Had a very enjoyable meal . Lovely environment with good range of meals to choose from. Friendly and welcoming staff who provided an efficient service and the food was delicious. Intererestingly following a recent visit to another establishment in Overton where an automatic uplift of 12.5% is applied for, at best, indifferent service - it isnt the case with Amore which is refreshing. You therefore feel able to think about and value the service element and pay accordingly rather than feeling ripped off and resentful in being automatically charged. Definitely recommend for anyone seeking an excellent Italian restaurant that offers excellent value.

I've been to Amore a couple of times and it's been OK....I live in Oakley and frankly there's not that much around that's decent and local so decided to go back again this week. I don't know what was going on that night but I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I had such bad service. We were seated in the front - just 2 of us thankfully by the radiator. We were given menus and left to it. No one asked us if we wanted any water. We were left sitting there for absolutely ages before I had to ask the waiter if we could get some drinks. Drinks arrived and again we were just left there. Had to ask to order the food. There only seemed to be 2 guys on that night but one was at the bar just feet away from us - so busy cleaning glasses that he had no idea we were just sitting and waiting. Finally the food came which was fine. And then nothing. For about half an hour absolutely nothing. The guy at the bar made himself a meal and sat down feet away and ate it. No one around. I was tempted to just walk out but would never do that. No one asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee/tea...when we came to leave the other guy was in the back cleaning tables.....WTF? I complained and the service was taken off the bill. They just don't get it. As I say - not sure what was happening that night but it was appalling. Won't go back. Just complacent and ignorant of the concept of service. Has the financial hit of Covid taught them nothing about keeping a loyal client base? Extraordinary.

It was ok. Evening meal. A bit cold. Radiators weren’t on (a cold frosty night). Main courses were good. Risotto very good. Starters average. Desserts …. 😬 the brownies were like rubber! Tiramisu, nothing special. So yeah, ok, but not somewhere I’d recommend as being amazing

We visit here fairly regularly as we live locally and we've always had a good experience (see my other reviews!). This evening was no exception, a busy Saturday service, but greeted and seated in no time. Drinks brought promptly. Partner chose the Funghi Aglio and I had the Bianchetti, plenty of breaded white bait with tartare sauce, both very good starters. My partner's main of Risotto Amore was very good with lots if large and tasty prawns. My Pizza Piccante was excellent. No room for desserts unfortunately. Friendly and engaging staff, nice atmosphere and good honest Italian cuisine.

Late Saturday afternoon on a stormy day. Welcomed warmly and soon served our drinks. My starter of Funghi All'Aglio, (pan fried button mushrooms with garlic butter, white wine with fresh herbs and home made bread was perfect and not too heavy, nice and hot too. My partner's Caprese (vine ripened tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella, basil and olive oil was also deemed excellent. Our guest had Bruschetta Alla Romana, again all fresh ingredients. My main of Piccante pizza was first class, generous toppings, well cooked and lots of flavour from the peperoni and chilli oil. Partner's Risotto Al Funghi was well recieved, Arborio rice perfectly cooked with garlic white wine and parmesan. Our guest had Carbonara, very good. No dessert for me but a Tiramisu was shared by my partner and guest and greatly enjoyed. Rounded off by a Latte and I had a beer. Gratuity optional (pick your own percentage). All came to less than £100, good value for good food and service in our local high street.
