Rescued our family Christmas meal when our original booking elsewhere was cancelled due to a power cut. Went from disaster to a very enoyable time with 23 family members. Food and service was fab.

We were coming to Hungerford and needed feeding - Amore had wonderful reviews, so we thought we would give it a try. First, we arrived before they opened, but since we had shopping to do, I tapped on the door, which was opened by a charming young man who said it would be fine to park there before we came for lunch. How nice was that? And what a good beginning! And lunch didn’t let us down: it was beautifully served, excellent quality and generous, but not overwhelming portions. Just right in every way and extremely good value. And perfect service too. We are definitely going to return whenever we come to Hungerford!

Mid week dinner at Amore. Excellent food, which was served at the table quickly and perfectly warm. I had the saltimbocca, and my husband had the sea food risotto. A nice change of scenery in our busy schedule.

Been coming here for a while, always excellent quality food and service. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Plenty of parking available. Not particularly busy when we went, but it was midweek. All four of us enjoyed our food.

Had a beautiful meal here. Everything was perfect. Waitress was attentive. Wine list extensive with a lovely Barolo chosen and enjoyed. It’s an authentic Italian restaurant and definitely a must visit

Nice restaurant with good ambience. Staff were friendly. The food was nice. My friend and I ordered the seafood pasta, was tasty but the squid was so tough. Most of the mussels were empty. The calzone was a big portion and tasted really good. However, the seafood risotto was small and not enough. Would recommend this place.

Have been here many times over the years. Staff are amazing, very friendly, and extremely helpful. There was a pizza that our group had that the server took back, as he was not happy with how the chef cooked it. All the food we had was amazing! Highly recommend the calzone if you have a big appetite.

Loved it, didn't know it was open again this last lot of years, closed over a decade ago and we loved it then, fantastic restaurant. Go , you won't regret it.

Really enjoyed the food and the service was also good. We are vegetarians and there was plenty of options in terms of pasta. The ravioli and penne al arrabiata were delightful.

I enjoyed. Atmosphere and service was great. Staff can speak greek and italian (mixed). Pizza quality is good, especially compared to many places in the UK and in regards to the base and crust. I had the house pizza, and was looking forward to bresaola. It didn't have real ones and I love them.

On a really long drive and with 15 minutes of serving time left they were more than accommodating. In fact the staff were lovely. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the food and the rest from driving. 😁👌

Food I had today was awful. Tasteless whitebait starter and pasta fruit de mer with so much chilli it killed off any other taste. Seafood in the pasta mainly rubbery calamari. My wife agreed on tasteless whitebait and her obviously over microwaved camaloli with rubber cheese. I was so disgusted that I decided against giving them any more money and did not have a sweet. Friend's seabass was also very small. Will not go there again.

Food and service was outstanding

Food disappointing, risotto was supposed to have asparagus in, I think that there was two pieces in and definitely no chilli. Panacotta even with the sauce was bland

DISAPPOINTED! For a starter we had garlic bread and it was dry and had hardly any garlic. Seabass was like a piece of cardboard, stiff and dry. Lasagne was drowning in tomatoes and had no pasta. Seafood tagliatelle had empty muscle shells, couldn't cut or chew through the calamari, pasta like rubber and it was cold. 12" pizza with 6" inch topping so genuinely just bread. Got order wrong and brought a different dish that was still wrong when everyone else had already finished, when we complained about it being the wrong dish the manager insisted that is what we ordered when we didn't so he walked off and threw the menu. The complaint was dealt with by the manager sending a waiter to do his job because he stormed off when he got the order wrong. The waiter that came to sort out the complaint was arrogant and rude telling us we was trying to find fault in everything. The only upside was they charged us half price but most of the food was left. Overall rating 0 stars.

An amazing night for our wedding anniversary, the staff, food, and the atmosphere was amazing, brought back memories of our trip to Sorrento last year, highly recommended.

Delicious food, pleasant staff, service a little slow, but they were very busy.

We arrived without a booking on Monday evening in the early evening. We were made very welcome by the Italian host. There was a good varied menu at reasonable prices. The servings were very generous, well presented and tasty. The restaurant became very full as we were eating and there was a good atmosphere. We will certainly be visiting again.

Have passed this restaurant, many times, decided to go for lunch here with a friend whilst visiting Hungerford. We went for the fixed price menu. The choice was Very good and the food was excellent. Friendly attentive service. We will definitely be back.!

Fantastic pizza, great service and reasonable prices for lunch

One of the best and definitely the biggest Calzone I've had and I've had a lot. Amazing service, also right up there with the best I've had. Not the absolute cheapest, but well worth the little bit extra for the quality and the service. I'll be visiting again soon.

I would go as far as saying this is the best Italian Restaurant I've ever been to. Warm, hilarious and attentive service throughout our meal. The dishes were incredible, the whole party of 6 enjoyed everything - personally the calzone was the nicest I've had anywhere. I cannot speak more highly of this restaurant. Superb.

We had a family birthday party here. Staff were very friendly and it was a good atmosphere however the seafood risotto we had was very disappointing.

The fish risotto was just ordinary white rice, not risotto rice, with some prawns and bits of fish.

We popped in Sunday evening, staff friendly and good food. Nice to know somewhere local open on a Sunday evening.

The best Italian I have ever been to. Food was amazing. I had amore tagliatelle which was fish. They do fabulous mocktails. Very busy for a Wednesday night. The staff were faultless. My only criticism was that it was a tad too hot in there!

From the moment you enter the restaurant you are made to feel welcome with a warm smile from the staff at Amore. The menu is diverse and delicious. The specials are an absolute treat. Do try the pistachio profiteroles, they’re to die for. I guarantee you will be a regular customer once you have tried the delicious food here

Lovely food attentive staff ..beautiful atmosphere

This looked great according to the reviews so we opted for our evening meal here. It was during the recent mini heatwave and the place was very warm, even with a/c. We were sat right at the back by a closed window, but next to a group of 'too loud for a restaurant' group, absolute knobs on full volume. The view was awful, the side car park and lots of satellite dishes on the nearby houses. Food was efficiently and quickly served, but from the off there was an issue with one starter, and although it was rectified and apologised for, the cost wasn't deducted from our bill as I would have expected, plus only the young server apologised. No complaints about the food other than that, and it was delicious and hot. I understand that the restaurant can't dictate who eats there in advance, so the loud group weren't their fault, but if I wanted to eat in a Wetherspoons video venue, I'd eat in a Wetherspoons, maybe we were just unlucky that night? Overall, disappointed, Hungerford is lovely but we won't be rushing back to Amore 😕

It's a very authentic Italian restaurant. The food is divine, the service fast, and the staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant itself has nice decor etc and staff really friendly unfortunately the food was very bland and tasteless. Coming from Italian background I cannot say the food tasted Italian in any way apart from calling it pasta or risotto.

Amazing, it was a humid day and air conditioning would have been nice. That's the only downside for me

Very tasty, well presented food. Really considerate of children. Only 4 stars on service as we ordered a third round of drinks that never appeared.

Not often, I write a 5 Star review on every count. But Amore Italian Restaurant & Bar is superb! Linguine Al Gamberoni - great! Italian wine selection at good prices - marvellous. Great service, friendly but not too much. Highly recommended Italian experience. Good also for well-behaved children.
