Amici in Central Bedfordshire

After ordering a large amount of food for a work lunch via deliveroo and our order disappearing with them, Amici called to explain and apologised there were issues with delivery driver. They couldn’t have been more apologetic and re done our order. Food was lovely and hot after our 15 minute journey back to the office

We really enjoyed our breakfast this morning... eggs were obviously v fresh and we were told that the cafe try to have as much locally sourced fresh ingredients as they can ... eggs and bacon from a farm in Toddington. It felt warm, relaxed and the ambience felt uplifting with large pictures on the walls. Thanks.

Super quick service from lovely friendly staff. Food is excellent and reasonably priced with wide variety to suit all.

A nice, very clean, small restaurant situated on Dunstable high st. The staff were so friendly and there was a good selection of snacks, breakfasts and main meals. The meals were served very quickly, it was well presented and the plates were full. Bery reasonably priced we will certainly go back again.

We look for a place to have breakfast as we don't useed to go out , we didn't know where. We found this place în center of Dunstable and went to. We were very surprised for the worm walecome and the fast service !!! The breakfast was amazing!!! And we strongly belive we will come back !! Totally recomand!

My friend and I visited this café last Monday for a hot drink (as we'd been told by the Costa place in center that he was not taking any orders at 16:00 even though it had just turned 16:00 and we did ask very nicely...) and I ended up ordering a cheese burger. I hadn't had one in ages and I'm glad I got one - not only was the welcome we received from the lady there the complete opposite from Costa's (ie warm, helpful, friendly, polite, really seemed glad to see us), but the drinks were good and the burger was fantastic at great value. The lovely cook came to bring it out himself with a big smile saying he hoped I'd enjoy it! Another plus; the takeaway packaging was eco-friendly (I re-used the carrier bag of course). I was VERY impressed and whenever we're in the area we'll definitely be back (SOD COSTA!). Thanks guys, so wonderful to still receive a warm welcome somewhere.

Been here before and it’s good value. Staff are always friendly and the service is good. Enjoyed a toastie and my friend had a veggie panini . Washable menus, masks worn by staff. Toilet available too. Recommend.

Great value for money, good food, respecting social distancing and menus are very easy to use within having to touch them. Friendly service and made to feel welcomed. Will be coming back for more breakfasts!

Every Saturday we have lunch at Amicis and never let's us down. Great food and cheap prices as well as friendly service. Always recommend to friends.

Lovely cafe, very friendly staff, food came quickly and was hot, staff were very accommodating. My kids, 4 years and 16 months were very happy with their food.

Myself and a colleague have stopped here many times for either the medium breakfast or an egg and bacon baguette. It’s always nice, fresh and hot. Service with a smile and the coffee is great, not bitter like Costa. Recommend to anyone who wants an decent brekky.

Decided to avoid services and come off the M1 for breakfast. Chose this based on the reviews. Regretted it. I ordered a double espresso, which was the strength resembled an americano. We both requested no beans - both breakfasts came with beans! We sent one back but suffered the second. The tomatoes were from a tin, something that wasn't mentioned in the menu. The eggs were exceptionally pale. As I finished eating the waitress came to take my plate but then stood there waiting for my partner to finish until I asked her to leave. In her defence, I think she was new, but a little supervision would have been useful. At the end of the meal, I pointed out a foreign object in my plate and received an apology from the waitress but nothing was mentioned when we came to pay. We ended up regretting not eating at the services!

Excellent tasting, well cooked food is served by friendly staff... Great breakfast,really good coffee... Best in town.

I love this little coffee shop. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonably priced meals and the best coffee in town. This is part if my weekend ritual, and highlight, Amici coffee and my newspaper. Heaven!!

I went to amici to have a milkshake ended up having lunch there ( I just couldn't resist the menu choices) all I can say is it was yummy had friendly staff and I would definatly go another time (In fact I might go tomorrow) = lovely experience

Called in for a coffee and cake at four in the afternoon. Had a cappuccino which was good, but only had one cake to pick from. Cafe clean and prices good but nothing to inspire me to go again.

This is the first time I tried this cafe, cafe was clean and well kept, staff very friendly. Had mini breakfast which was £3.95, got a lot for your money and was very tasty. Great value for money and didn’t have to wait long. Would go again!

Amici was recommended by a friend (some friend) so my wife and I popped in for some refreshments whilst out house hunting. The watermelon cake looked interesting and I can never resist a carrot cake. So armed with these we sat down for quite some wait whilst our drinks were being made. Sadly the watermelon cake was dry and not very interesting. The carrot cake was much nicer and very moist. Eventually the drinks arrived. We'd ordered cappuccinos but what arrived could have just come out of one of those instant packets. Tasteless coffee with some froth thrown on top and then some indescribable powder on top of that (who started putting sprinkles on top of cappuccino?) . It wasn't the coffee experience that I was hoping for. Amici is an ok cafe but I was hoping for a coffee shop experience. Maybe that was my fault, maybe my expectations were too high but it is an experience that I don't want to repeat.

What a great breakfast, choose from a great menu and add sides. I had Mediterranean breakfast with chips. My wife had Spanish Omelette. Perfect, not greasy and always service with a smile. All day menu always freshest ingredients.

Only fault is the prices on the menu left on the tables does not match the price you actually pay. The carrot cake is a good choice to go for.

Todavía estoy en el café mientras que escribir esta crítica de comer sopa de tomate y albahaca fresca. La gente es encantadora, la comida deliciosa. Nunca he estado antes, pero sin duda volveré. El personal ha sido más que atento a mi elección nietos de comida. Había un poco de espera pero nada excesivo; sólo muestra que todo está hecho y no pre-empaquetadas y esperando a ser comido. Buenos precios también. Vale la pena una visita.

Metimos en para el desayuno en un grupo de 6 personas a las 9 de la mañana, pedir las bebidas y el desayuno. Las bebidas nos llevó al menos 20 minutos para llegar (sólo té ordered) y el desayuno tardó 45 minutos a una hora. El café era francamente mal equipadas para proporcionar el desayuno con el único hombre trabajando incluso tener que dejar la cafetería a comprar huevos, no hubo ninguna comunicación sobre cuánto tiempo la comida y nos ignoró la mejor parte de 30 minutos. El servicio mejoró ligeramente cuando un segundo trabajador inició su turno sin embargo 5 de los 6 desayunos finalmente llegamos dejando a una persona sin su comida que luego nos llevó a unos10 minutos para llegar, fue sólo una rosca pastel de té de bacon!! En torno a la cafetería estaba claro varios otros clientes todavía estábamos esperando sus pedidos, que nunca se han de una cafetería donde se tardan unos 20 minutos para una taza de té. La comida era decente sin embargo no vale la pena la espera, la visita a la cafetería se retrasó considerablemente y tuvimos que hacer retroceder los planes para el día. Me dio la sensación de que se vieron gravemente escaso y no es capaz de proporcionar la comida se muestran en el menú en una forma eficiente, tener que esperar por la comida y las bebidas más tiempo de lo que sería en la mayoría de los restaurantes que solo cafés. Fue una pena, ya que los trabajadores parecía amable a pesar de no tener una gran comunicación con nosotros, los precios eran razonables y el interior estaba bien, sin embargo la gran cantidad de tiempo de espera que este café bajando muy mal y francamente poner una Berlinale) hasta el comienzo del día.

Un pequeño Hay una cafetería en el corazón de dunstable. Sraff son muy amables, pricescare muy razonable. Un lugar muy relajante, los niños son siempre bienvenidos y el personal les haga sentir especial. Me pasó en hoy para mi panini_nus fritas riquísimas favorita ... volveremos...

El café, un gran servicio. hacerte sentir bienvenido. Ha sido recientemente redecorado y mejorado. Bien antes, incluso mejor ahora. Recomendado para un café y comida.

beats the hell out of the over-priced Costa across the road. Just nice to have a proper, local cafe with proper coffee. Paninis lovely.Free wifi, warm and lovely in winter.

This is close to the centre of Dunstable on High St North and is a good place to grab a coffee and a snack. Good variety of food available. As well as excellent coffee, they have a wide selection of speciality teas. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I shall certainly be going back.

This is a great place for a coffee or lunch. If you don't fancy the chain coffeeshop in the centre, this is just across the road and has a great selection of baguettes, jacket potatoes and cakes etc. The coffee is of a high quality: my personal favourite is the mocha. The staff here are really polite and friendly and Amici's is one of the few places in Dunstable that remains busy and has some atmosphere!I come regularly and have done since it opened a few years ago; with friends or on my own to read the paper. It has a really nice local feel with many regulars - also quite a good loyalty scheme.Would highly recommend.
