Amici in Hart

This café is, without doubt, one of the best. The owners keep it spotless, the garden is a gorgeous space and the coffee great! The service is absolutely second to none. It's brilliant!

We’ve just had the worst experience in customer service today, thanks to the bloke that works at Amici (Tony). We’ve never been treated so bad as customers as we were today in a cafe, so if you want to be traumatised from being treated by the rudest, unhelpful waiter, you can find it in Amici. We were asked to leave as we allegedly jumped the queue! I have been coming to this cafe because I like the food and the girls on the till are always lovely including the owner. It was busy when we turned up, we waited, the girls took our food order and we were shown to our table. We were having a nice time waiting for our food, when the bloke came to tell us that the table is reserved and we jumped the queue, implying we’re always talking to girls to get special treatment!! At first I thought he was joking and having a banter with my partner but I soon realised he clearly wasn’t happy that we were there - a paying customer!! This is such a shame, as this is a lovely cafe, but having idiots like that working there is really going to damage their reputation, I really hope the owner sees this and has him dismissed. In no way is this aimed at anyone else who works there, who are always courteous and polite, although it appears you are not allowed to talk to them, or have coffee in any other shop in Fleet, without fear of being banned from here!!!

Had a lovely coffee and BLT sandwich today. Without doubt this is the best cafe in Fleet. Great service, great atmosphere and great food.

We regularly visit Cafe Amici because the food & service is excellent. We're never disappointed, the quality of the food & coffee is consistently good and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We would strongly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for good quality food & friendly service. In our view it's the best cafe in Fleet.

Our favourite coffee shop and visit it regularly. Why our favourite...always clean and friendly...the coffee is excellent...cakes are delicious and good value...very nice atmosphere inside and in the courtyard garden. The owner and staff always make you welcome.

Not to mention the good quality food and drink again, the staff members are very nice to customers. We have left a custard tart on table, and the kind staff (called Tony) gives me an extra one next time of visit. So warm and considering.

Found this cafe by chance after getting passport photos for my baby a few doors down, and it was such a lovely surprise. Beautifully decorated, great coffee, friendly staff and great baby change facilities!

We came to surprise my mother in law for her 88th birthday and had a very good lunch. The very nice lady owner and her old Italian mother were so nice to us. I could have kissed them on the cheek if that was allowed. After that day we went back twice for lunch. Although they were understaffed everything went smoothly. I love this place.

I popped in here earlier for a cappuccino and scone while my car was being serviced. The staff here are just so lovely and welcoming and seem to really care about their customers and I was greeted like an old friend - hence the 4 stars. Sadly I found the coffee too bitter in flavour for my liking and I didn’t really enjoy the scone either which was a shame. It must be said that the bathroom here is lovely and clean - which is not often the case in a busy coffee shop.

I always use this cafe when shopping in Fleet. Firstly I need to enlighten on the manager's/owner demeanour: if the cafe is very busy she is obviously concerned that the customers and orders are being dealt with correctly and yes I agree she can be a little abrupt but not rude. On the other hand when all is running to order and she relaxes then it is different. So I therefore do not mind. The food is good, the baguettes are absolutely lovely. The breakfasts look nice and are very good. So please give the lady some slack when stressed and coping with us customer's. Other staff have alway been polite

I popped in here yesterday for a coffee and cake. They were very strict in complying with the latest government regulations and all staff were wearing masks and ensuring that their customers were too. They took my details, as I was unable to download the NHS app and I felt very safe. I ordered a cappuccino and scone and I must say that both were extremely good. I especially loved the scone which had been slightly warmed for me and served with jam and butter. A great place to relax and eat.

Just had a feast light lunch . Great coffee cake and sandwich . Service a little slow but the cafe was busy . I would recommend a visit

Locale molto centrale, arredato con gusto. Ampia scelta sia per una colazione salata o dolce e per uno spuntino. Ottimi i dolci e le torte. Molto consigliata la " nata"! Da provare!

Called for a bite at lunchtime and finished up having poached eggs on toast and a breakfast with tea for one and a coffee. All was good and very pleasant surroundings the only problem was that the eggs were over cooked and hard. I did mention it on leaving and was told that had I alerted them then new eggs would have been cooked. If I am cooking fried or poached eggs I know if they are hard so maybe new eggs should have been cooked before leaving the kitchen? Otherwise good but could have been better.

Our weekly place for breakfast. Lots of veriety on the food side with healthy options, gluten free cake and lots of other cakes. Portuguese tarts are amazing..Would recommend the cafe to anyone !

Service - Friendliness: can be a little prickly depending who is on the till, one lady who I think is the owner/manager can be a bit harsh and short with you, especially when they are busy..Service - Speed/Attentiveness: brilliant! Soft fluffy white bread, tasty bacon!.Environment/Cleanliness: spotless! Beautiful decor and furniture very nice.Value: a bit on the pricy side, but, it’s worth it, very nice.Other (wifi, Parking etc): plenty of parking in Fleet, did not use WiFi as I had 4G in there.Overall Summary: all the staff are so nice, I think the manager or owner is a bit abrupt, but other than that superb!

I had a very tasty chicken and avocado sandwich - it was truly succulent! The Americano was strong and delicious. The place is spotless and nicely laid out.

My elderly parents took me for lunch at Amici in the High Street. They had only been there once before & were keen to see what the lunch service was like.

Lovely quaint place, my fiance and i have been here numerous times and i have brought my parents. Great decor, rekaxed atmosphere with a wonderful outside seating area for when the sun is shining, tucked away on fleet high street. We came in for some Monday brunch and this time we asked for food off menu,the waitress was open to take our orders with a smile and the owner was keen to please with a welcoming attitude. Went to this coffee shop on a hot summer’s day, very pleased with the menu and what we ordered , I had panini with mozzarella, chicken, avocado and bacon. Was delicious and well presented. The only thing I’d improve is the coffee, I ordered a flat white but it was more like a latte, the size of one too and my partner’s was the same. Also, I didn’t order anything sweet after because it looked like the same products Costco do! Which was a shame. But savoury food was honestly lovely.

Charming cafe with good selection of reasonable baguettes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes for a light lunch. Food was delicious and pleasantly surprised with portion sizes (quite filling). Will defiantly be bank.

Best breakfast not just in Fleet but in Hart. Food is quick and excellent just as is the service and the atmosphere of the cafe. All the staff are friendly and welcoming while the coffees are simply the best,

Lunchtime visit with friend. Friendly atmosphere, great environment for a catch up. Coffee was very good but that baked potato with tuna was one of the best I'd ever tasted. If I'm in fleet again I'll be calling in.

Wanted a quick coffee and chat with a friend in Fleet on a Sunday afternoon and keen to avoid the nearby coffee chains and found Cafe Amici. Good coffee with table service, no gimmicks or faff.

Not being a regular visitor to Fleet this place has passed me by. But what a great place, my coffee was excellent as was my cooked breakfast (albeit there was no sausage).

Really nice homely environment. Very pleasant staff. All food cooked to order so really fresh and a nice variety. Grat coffee and cakes!

I managed to get the last minestrone soup for lunch and it was delicious! Superb selection of cakes. Friendly people serving.

Cafe Amici is a really lovely place to stop for coffee and a light meal. The furnishings are soft and comfortable, the service is excellent and they even serve tea in proper china teapots which is a real treat. We were only stopping for a cup of tea so we didn't try any of the food, but we could see there were delicious looking cakes and pastries and other food was on offer. There is a small courtyard garden too if the weather is nice. If you head to the back of the cafe you will find it to be a real haven away from the hustle and bustle of the high street.

A great little place for coffee and cake. It feels airy inside and tables aren't all crammed in next to each other.

Support your local family business! This cafe, run by a young couple and friends/family, does good strong coffee carefully presented - and - extra bonus for me - always keeps fresh cream for those of us who like coffee 'n' cream best of all.

Popped in on a tuesday for lunch, i can only review based on the customer service recieved as we did not stay to eat. The two members of staff who were chatting behind the counter watched us arrive then continued to chat.

I was visiting Cafe Amici with my friend on Saturday - was busy , but however one member of staff found a table for us.We enjoyed our drinks plus guests area and toilet very clean.Well done

Excellent independent and family run cafe. Has become our regular in town. Coffee and light lunch/breakfast always well received. Reasonably spacious for prams, outdoor space in the summer and always a friendly atmosphere and staff.

Always pop in for a coffee when I'm able to get away and as for their mouth watering pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tart) this is definitely the place!Great service and staff always friendly yet professional! They also have a good lunch variety to eat in or take out! Gem of a little place with good food, service and high standard of cleanliness!The summer is the best when the courtyard is available for afternoon sun soaks - can't wait!

The flat white may as well have been Nescafé and hot milk , and this is the second time it's been so bad. The serving staff nearly great you, but then I am an older woman, may be different if I was blonde and 19.I've used this cafe for well over a year and there is never any improvement , so I shall not waste any more money there .

We don't really do coffee shops but we're glad we popped in here, lovely chocolate, tasty cookie, friendly staff, plenty of space between the tables and a nice calm, relaxed atmosphere. Will definatly go back one day, thank you. :)

Visited for coffee , Im a returning customer as I like to support local business but I would not return. I think the quality of the coffee is quite poor- my flat white was milky with no crema at all. Also I found some of the staff quite rude as we mentioned it to staff who did not seem at all bothered. They were very busy taking selfies of themselves and doing their hair behind the till! It is a nice environment and other people seemed happy with their food but poor coffee and some poorly trained barista staff made it a very poor experience and I will unfortunately go to a main chain when in fleet again.

My partner and I popped in for a light lunch, his panini of parma ham and mozzerella was lovely according to him, my jacket potato with cheese and beans was hot and tasty and both dishes served with a side salad on the plate. Not that we should have done, but we both had a dessert, a chocolate cake and a peanut and chocolate gluten free traybake. The traybake was very good, the chocolate cake could have done with not being kept in a cooler as seemed a little tasteless. With a coke and a bottle of still water the bill was exactly £20. The actual cafe had a very calm and relaxing feel to it, very grown up feeling.

Chose Amici in order to support local business rather than a big chain. So glad we did! Served the best cup of coffee I've had in a while, by a kind a friendly waiter. Plenty of space for 3 pushchairs without encroaching on anyone else's table. The kind and friendly waiter not only warmed a bottle but checked it regularly on our behalf. Welcoming to adults and little ones alike.

This different from the normal run of the mill coffee shop as you are actually waited on.The staff are very polite and friendly and the atmosphere is good. We would thoroughly recommend the café.

We enjoyed an excellent cooked English breakfast at the Amici whilst in Fleet doing some shopping. The food was served nice and hot, the coffee was good and the pastries looked delightful. Very friendly service.

Just had a really good lunch at Amici. Very fresh, tasty salad and my friend enjoyed her smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Not a huge menu means that food is freshly prepared to a high standard.. Been here a couple of times with a friend. Good ambiance, helpful and friendly service. Nice to have plenty of space between tables. Delicious pastries and cakes (but tasteless chocolate and caramel gateau). Would have given five star rating except for two thnigs; (1) very steep prices (2) when I asked for a jug of hot water with my pot of tea, I was given only a little cream jug. That's not good enough, when you are paying those prices.

My first visit to the cafe to have a Sunday morning cooked breakfast.Took a while to get served, but once order placed it came very quickly and had good quality ingredients and one of the nicest cups of coffee I've had in a long time. I've been here on a number of occasions and have always had good service and good good. The family who run it are very nice, they work very hard to make sure customers are happy. The decor is pleasant and clean and what a nice change to see a toilet that's clean, smells nice and with soap, hand cream and tissues. They just need to fix the wobbly tap! The small courtyard is an unusual advantage for fleet, I agree with a previous reviewer it could do with a little ' softening' maybe some hanging baskets etc. The little section selling jewellery etc is interesting too. The last few times we have visited its been very busy, let's hope that continues. It makes a pleasant change from the usual chain coffee shops.

A lovely coffee shop experience, clean, fresh, modern décor, comfortable seating and friendly service. Good quality coffee and nibbles. I will continue to patronise and it always feels good to support small independents bringing life back into the High Street

Fabulous ambiance and staff.. But does need bigger food portions or prices lowered slightly.. So they don't out price themselves, which would be a shame.The staff are politely attentive and friendly. So great to see an independent business, as the towns are all full of chain coffee shops.

The cafe is very spacious with plenty of tables and chairs for customers. The facilities were clean and suitable for wheelchair users.

I have visited Amici twice in the last two weeks and really like it. I would much rather give my money to cafes like Amici over the chains. The coffee is good and the sweet treats are good too. Its is clean and comfortable; a nice addition to the high street.Unfortunately it was raining on both visits so I was unable to enjoy the garden area. Fingers crossed for the next visit.

Sat outside in the pretty, secluded garden at the back. Good service with helpful, pleasant staff. Delicious tea (and I may have had a cake too!). Nice and relaxed, even on a Saturday. Independent cafes like this should be supported!

The food is lovely and the welcome very friendly. I walked in yesterday and my coffee arrived without me asking because they remembered what I always have. The sandwiches are gorgeous (and very good value) and the lemon tart is divine!. In a day when our High Streets are becoming so anonymous and identikit, it is a joy to see a small local family run business like this thriving.

Now been here a couple of times for lunch...once for a sandwich and once for the tricolore salad....both were fresh and equally yummy...sat outside in the sunshine under a brolly, fab...10/10

A great new addition to Fleet's excellent coffee shops. Lovely interior design, very relaxing. Wonderful selection of cakes.

The owners are also the proprietors of the well known Mama Mias, and the scrummy pasteries are their Portugese favourites made in house. With a warm smile and with time for some small talk, all the staff understand how to give 'service' and make their customers welcome. But this is a tough market to enter as Fleet has almost too many coffee shops. Portions are smallish and prices are at the higher end perhaps reflecting the clientele they wish to attract. It has the right ambience for friends to meet, or for an individual to feel comfortable going on line or for those who wish to stop for a more substantial but not heavy meal. The courtyard whilst perfectly adequate with comfortable seating and circular tables needs a little more decoration to soften the stark concrete floor, red brickwork and high wooden fencing. The parasols are also not fixed to a base so in gusty conditions could blow over. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our coffee and cakes and happy to give Amici a recommendation.

This new coffee shop in Fleet has a clean, spacious interior and a garden. It is tastefully decorated and with a good amount of space between tables I found it a relaxing and enjoyable environment. The staff were outwardly friendly and polite and the service efficient. Whilst I did not buy any food during my visit, they do have a range of snacks and the usual range of coffees and other hot drinks. This is now my number one choice for a tea in Fleet, and I wish the proprietors every success, but please don't all go there it will become too crowded!

A new cafe to Fleet..went in for morning cup and an Italian pastry...very good...staff are lovely, not overly crowded with tables...will be going back to try the lunches, and cream tea...they've just opened a garden at the back which will be great for the summer.

If you want to drink coffee in style then head down to Amici cafe in Fleet. The cafe serves breakfast snacks as well as baguettes, paninis, wraps, salads and freshly made cakes. There are a variety of coffees on offer as well as teas and hot chocolate.Amici offers table service and all staff are friendly and hard working. There are also high chairs for children, a sofa area plus daily papers that you can read, plus toilet facilities which offer individual hand towels, hand soap and hand cream!Amici has a nice ambience and puts other local cafes in the shade! Definitely worth a visit!

I really enjoyed a lovely cappuccino and a Portuguese Custard Tart hot from the oven. The staff were lovely and I appreciated the spacious interior. A great addition to Fleet where there are several coffee shops but there is definitely room for this one in my opinion. I'll be back to try lunch.

A break from the norm, there are coffee shops, and then the experience of how life should be is given to you in the forum of actually being abroad on holiday, with out stepping on the plane, a calm warm feeling of relaxation to suit any time of the day, enough to soothe the soul, don't take my word for it take that step of the perfect coffee house has to offer in true style ciou,

A new addition to Fleet's wide choice of coffee shops. Nice frontage in the main (only) shopping street - cute planters. Newly decorated inside, as only opened in April /May 2015, so very clean and fresh. Welcome from staff on arrival was a nice touch. Airy feel to the place. Newspapers provided. I had a cappuccino (good size - nice and hot) and a cannoli - mean size, overcooked and overpriced. Two bites and it was gone. £1.20. Whoever put the chocolate sprinkles on my cappuccino should be in charge of all such matters in future - they have a heavy hand and it was lovely ! Overall let down by the size of the food versus the price charged, but otherwise a lovely experience. Not entirely sure what it brings to the table with regard to the competition - only time will tell if it can carve out a clientele, given Fleet is already very well provided for by excellent coffee shops......
