Amelio's Pizzeria in West Lancashire

I’ve just moved to hesketh bank and ordered twice from here. This pizzeria is the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. I asked for extra olives this time and they didn’t mess around. Loads! It was delicious. I ordered from domino’s mid week and it was greasy and inedible. I won’t order commercial pizza again now I’ve moved here.

the service here is disgraceful the staff are so rude and disrespectful, will not be coming here again do not recommend

I agree with one certain comment, the price for what your portions is absolutely disgusting. from now on I will be travelling 4 miles to the kebab house in burscough.

Had a very nice couple of pizzas here today. Nice and hot and very tasty. The pizza base was spot on. Red salt chips always worth a try as well.

I've had thicker pieces of bacon compared to the meat feast pizza they serve here, extremely thin, and barely any taste, next to no cheese either. First thought when we picked up 3 12" pizzas was "wow, these are light", honestly save your money and get a pizza or something from booths, would be much better and more filling.

I find the pizzas at the Olive Tree to be a far better bet, much tastier and far better value.

Ordered around £50 worth of food last night. 2 x cheesy garlic bread. I have hair thicker on my head than the actual base and the lack of cheese is a awful. Chips that taste like TCP. 1/2 pounder cheese burger, with one savers slice of cheese. Again pizza that is so thin, you can see through it and lack of taste. Get more decent pizza’s in a frozen home and bargin pizza. And a £7 delivery charge, joke!!!

I have no idea how this takeaway receives such good reviews. Tonight I spent £30 on food and it was rubbish. This is not a proper Italian takeaway. The chips were cold tasteless and rubbery the pizza was dry and also cold and again tasteless. As for the garlic bread this was anemic and yet again tasteless and greasy. I have never written a bad review before as I believe in supporting our local businesses but due to this dreadful food I cannot recommend it and nor will I use it again.

I come atleast once a week and get the same pizza and I’ve never had a problem always hot fresh and friendly service kebabs are also lovely but I’m all about that pizza

Ordered 2 vegetarian pizza’s, ready within 15 mins ,friendly staff and great taste.

Terrible service! Mangers bans anyone that knows people that are currently banned. For no reason even if you haven't been in the Fast food restaurant in weeks. Pathetic really!

Second time we have had a pizza from here. First time we did a phone order and was told 30 min so when we went to collect it had been standing out so was not hot. But the taste was great. Now know to go earlier. Second time it was spot on. Great flavours.

Best pizza for miles. Very friendly staff and great service. We have used Amelios dozens of times and each time the food is fantastic!

Not sure how this place has such a high rating. The pizzas are quite poor really. Service was good and staff friendly enough but their pizzas are not the standard I would expect from a 4* plus rated pizzeria.

so much better than other pizza takeaways as the food is fresh you can tell by the high quality, I am a regular and would highly reccomend Amelios, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the chicken kebab is a winner

I go all the time n ove never had problem love the food too much probs but best takeaway in the area plus i get on with all the staff and very clean takeaway

Although the staff at Amelios are very kind the b.s is UNREAL. The amount of times that guy has said hes italian when he told me he was Iranian is just stupid. I am a semi-regular at Amelios and the food is on the whole v.v.good. Just steer clear of talking to the owner and you will be fine.
