We had a group of six and when we arrived at the restaurant in the late afternoon, it was nearly empty. We had no reservation but decided to try it based upon other favorable reviews. The staff sat us in a corner near a door on a very wet & chilly Liverpool afternoon. A few of the ladies were cold and when we asked to be moved, the female employee was not receptive to our request. Smile a little, you work in the service industry. After finally being moved to a warmer part of the restaurant and ordering, the pizzas arrived completely black and burnt on the bottom of the crust. We said something to the waiter and asked him to tell the chef, but he just laughed it off as if we were joking. Another member of our group ordered the Risotto which she said was bland and dried out, almost to the point of being inedible. She only ate a very small part of it. None of us would return to this restaurant. There are too many other options in Liverpool and if the weather was better on this day we might have ended up somewhere diferent.

I love their menu at the new Deli across the road from their restaurant. Amalia's famous friendly Italian service is a delightful touch. Every meal or snack brings a wonderful 'wow' factor. Their Italian 'Tapas' offers a true Italian food experience that should not be missed, and it's great value for money. In addition to their drinks, cocktails, coffees, and more, the experience is truly unforgettable. The venue is inviting and extremely comfortable, with excellent wifi connection and charging points. Street seating is also available, allowing you to soak in the vibrant 'Liverpool World' passing by. Since discovering it a few weeks ago, it has become my go-to spot, and now my family and friends adore it too espacially as it has gluten and lactose free options.

Went Saturday night and called in on the off chance without a booking. They didn't have a table for an hour or so, so we went for a drink and called back. They squeezed us and it was a great meal. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was very tasty authentic Italian, the kids meals went down great and we all left feeling very well looked after. The place was very popular and had a lovely authentic lively buzz about it on a Saturday night. If we are back in Liverpool again we will defiantly try and go again. Highly recommend especially for a family meal.

Absolutely awful experience. Food was sent back multiple times it was just awful. Staff were so up the wall trying to do a million things at once. It's advertises that kids eat for £1 on a Sunday but that wasn't the case they payed full price. Waited about hour and a half before we eat. Honestly awful. Avoid.

We were seated in the upstairs private room which lacks the atmosphere and buzz of the main ground floor dining area. Ordered our starter and mains and from the “something to nibble” section of the menu the breadboard with olives. It was disappointing to receive the breadboard at the same time as the starters. When I mentioned this at the end of the meal I was told we should have asked if we wanted it before the starter! The starters were okay. Mussels marinara was nice with a good tomato sauce but could have had more flavour. The scallops were served with black pudding but on a huge bed of salt which was a surprise. I ordered the lemon sole from the specials menu. It arrived and had no veg or anything. Apparently I should have ordered sides but to not be promoted by the waitress taking the order is disappointing. Having known I was paying over £22 for a bland piece of fish in a fairly bland sauce and without sides I may have chosen something else. My wife ordered the halibut which was served in a mushroom sauce that was far too strong for the fish. We were very disappointed with the meal but the wine was lovely and we appreciated the gesture of taking the wine off our bill.

Had a fantastic meal today with my friends....lasagne was really tasty and the lemon pudding was scrummy! Lovely waitress who was extremely helpful with recommendations and didn't hurry us. Will definitely go back!

We’ve been here on 4 occasions and last night chose to bring friends who were in town. The table wasn’t ready and we were told to wait by the already crowded bar, eventually were seated. Had the focaccia to start which was very dry, followed by one of the chicken dishes. Service was slow, we asked three times for the bill, it then took another 20 minutes for someone to come over with a card reader. Everyone was sat very close, it felt like extra tables have been rammed in, it’s a shame, it used to be much nicer.
