Amaro in Blackpool

This is our third visit to Amaro and yet again we were not disappointed. The menu is excellent and staff are brilliant. They cater to my daughter's gluten free needs and their gluten free garlic bread is particularly tasty. We will always return here for a meal, never disappoint

This was our second time at this establishment and although the food was very good ,the time it took to get served firstly to be seated ,then the drink and eventually the food took an extraordinary amount of time But when the food came it was very good and so to err the deserts It was busy as a lot in the restaurant were going watching Jane McDonald as were we But overall will definitely return

The food was average and drinks, particularly soft drinks, are massively over priced. Seriously, have a look at your pricing on this stuff. Expensive for what it was. Unwelcoming initial impression for staff stood there chatting. Slow service. Food ordered at 17:30 and arrived after 18:30 - with a staggered food drop, meaning some of the table were eating a good 10-15 minutes before others in the same party. Calamari - very under cooked, borderline inedible. Pizza soggy and a bit of a mess. Ribs felt microwaved and had clearly Been reheated/definitely not fresh. Top prices asked for very average food. Very annoyed at the price of a diet coke… a small glass, probably around 200ml in a glass full of ice for £3. You pay less than that in the shard, london and get more (!) Waiter on first floor was a decent chap who tried his best… Not overly impressed and I don’t understand how anyone with tastebuds would be. Wont be back.

Absolutely beautiful. We went after the theatre on a Saturday afternoon. Really good attentive staff. Food was amazing it was nearly too nice to eat. We savoured every mouthful. I had the salmon tagliatelle, it was beautiful. Rich creamy sauce. My friend had the chicken in a rich creamy sauce with potatoes and brocoli . No complaints. It was really busy when we left and people were queuing for tables. Booking is recommended. Would definitely return .

My husband and I booked dinner here during our weekend stay in Blackpool. We both love Italian food so thats why we booked it. On arrival the staff were lovely and very welcoming. We ordered a calzone pizza and the carbonara. Both dishes were amazing! My husband said it was the best calzone he had eaten. And the carbonara was delicious.

Fabulous welcome from the staff. fantastic food with a great atmosphere a great quality place for a pre theatre meal very much enjoyed our visit and will be back to enjoy more of the wonderful food

We fell upon this restaurant whilst having a weekend break at Blackpool. The food was delicious, especially the lamb shank and beef stroganoff. The service was great.We would definitely recommend.

We found this restaurant by chance looking around trying to find places still serving food after 9pm that wasn’t a fast food takeaway. We were in luck! We only waited around 20 minutes for the food which I think is perfectly acceptable. The food was delicious, really nice and decent portions. I’d say the prices are reasonable too. £11-£15 for most mains. There were some dishes that were over £20 though but can’t remember what they were. The staff were friendly. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 was that I noticed all the other tables were offered a free shot of limoncello (maybe they were hoping for a tip as they were large tables of 6+ guests) which I was looking forward to, but we were never offered any. The other tables didn’t leave a tip and we were the only ones who did and no free limoncello. Nevermind. It would have only been a bonus. But I did wonder why we weren’t offered one, was it the way we looked? Anyhow, it’s a nice restaurant and feels like it’s family run. Would recommend a visit.

We visited here before going to the theatre. The staff were very welcoming and great fun as we were eating with our two teenage boys. It was one sones 17th birthday and they made it great fun and a treasured memory. The food was beautiful. I had the sea bass from the specials menu and it was truly delicious. We shall definitely be back. Thank you to the team!

We managed to get a table for 6 on a walk in which was perfect. The hosts were attentive and cheerful. The food selection was great with some specials available too.

This is a hidden gem of Blackpool. We didn't book and where shown to our seat straight away by a lovely member of staff. We ordered our food which , having been a few times and sampled most things on the menu was fantastic along with the staff who where attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

Managed to find this restaurant by accident and so pleased we did. Excellent food, excellent attentive service from all staff members. We were lucky to get in as didn’t prebook but just timed it right. We felt looked after all night from the moment we walked in. Every single staff member paid full attention to what was happening in the restaurant at all times ensuring the service was impeccable. The food was lovely we really enjoyed our meal and time there and would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening!

A wonderful Italian restaurant with an incredible atmosphere. Very attentive service, very polite and knowledgeable. My wife and I both had calimaris to start, beautifully presented and tasted Devine. My wife had Spaghetti Bolognaise and I had tagliatelle al salmone. Lovely. My partner finished with profiteroles and I had tiramisu. Highly recommended.

Fantastic restaurant. We had not pre booked and although the restaurant had started to fill up they still found space for a family of four. The food was fantastic, we went for the garlic bread and pate to start, followed by a chefs special Ravioli with lobster, cannelloni and a margarita pizza. I have to say the dough used for the garlic bread and pizza was delicious! House wine lovely and the staff were so friendly and funny. The location is great, only 5 mins walk from the tower. Would highly recommend

I had the sea bass from specials menu. Bit worried about description and waiter knowledgeable and said it could be adjusted. Well it was perfect, served with a professional chefs distinction. As for the taste, top notch. The glass of wine probably wasn’t the best choice to have with the fish but I do like a pink. The dessert I wasn’t so impressed with - ‘home made’ tiramisu - but to sweet for me - defo one for sharing. I should have got the starter. Great service and good atmosphere.

The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and professional. Lovely inside and in a perfect position in the town centre near the Winter Gardens.

This place had been recommended but I was disappointed. A very buzzy atmosphere but the food was average and the service slow. The location is excellent however.

Fourth time here. Probably the last. Think the business has changed hands. Service was functional. The male waiter was better than everyone else. Antipasti was expensive for what was on offer and were underwhelming. Secondi were well cooked and good. It was an ok experience, hence the score. Used to be excellent. Shame.

What a gorgeous meal at Amaro after seeing a show at the Opera House. Beautifully decorated restaurant and absolutely lovely staff (be still my beating heart!). Had the mushrooms in Stilton on bruschetta for starter and the polla alla creams and it was divine. Such a lovely place and I wish it was a bit closer to home

We arrived without booking and staff were very accommodating even though they had to offer a limited time slot. Perfectly cooked calamari. Melt in the mouth fillet steak with delicious roasties and broccoli in Stilton sauce. Fabulous tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Altogether outstanding. We'll be back next November.

Excellent service from arrival to departure. Plenty of menu choices from pasta, pizza and meat or fish dishes. Reasonably priced for the quality 😜 f the food and service.

Booked here initially due to the proximity to the Winter Gardens for a pre show meal. A little confusing on entering, as we had reserved a table and people without reservations were walking in and being seated before us. This was the only negative. Once we were seated and ordered, the communication on waiting times was spot on. We ordered a Lasagne and a Calzone. The food was delicious, extremely tasty and reasonably priced for a town centre restaurant. We departed well fed and watered. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will most certainly dine here again.
