Altisidora Beverley in East Riding of Yorkshire

Stopped in at The Altisadora and was absolutely blown away by the Great British Menu-winning beef cheek pie—hands down the best pie I’ve eaten in a long time. The beef was rich and tender, the pastry beautifully crisp, and it came with smooth, creamy mashed potato and a perfectly cooked selection of vegetables. The pub itself has lovely surroundings with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Looking forward to my next visit already—this place is a real gem!

We hadn’t been for a while. On a lovely sunny Friday we decided to give it a go. Arriving at 12 noon, the doors were open and everything inside looked very welcoming and ready for business. Ryan greeted us nicely and got us seated and comfortable. I had sausage and mash with lovely fresh green beans. It was delicious and I was impressed by the presentation. After the meal we went out to the delightful garden that is surrounded by some impressive tall trees. I said “this is the life” and we had another drink. We were at one with the world. I noticed a lot of people turning up to eat. The staff were all efficient and dressed smartly, professionally. It makes a difference. They looked happy and committed to doing a good job. We will return

Professional and friendly staff serving great food

Great place for a fantastic Sunday lunch in nice surroundings & amazing food. I was able to take my dog into the bar area where they have dog water bowls & treats. Ryan and the team work well together providing great service.

Many a times I have driven by this restaurant, and I recently took a visit to see what the restaurant was like , I have also been recommended by a few friends. I had a prawn cocktail starter , which was presented perfectly , the prawns were a decent size. It's a dish that you can't really get wrong. Main I had a steak , can't remember exactly what size. I asked for it to be cooked Medium/Rare. It was cooked perfectly and the beef dripping sauce to go with it was also wonderful. My overall experience was good , I would recommend to others , and I would definitely return.

The pubs decor is very nice and has a nice atmosphere .. The waitresses were very attentive, no waiting at all.. We all had the 2 courses for £19 which is excellent value.. The chicken tenders were very nicely presented .. I had the hunters chicken which was the best I've ever had .. so tasty 😋

This was the first time our friend had been out with us for lunch since his wife died and a combination of good food, drink and sunshine really lifted his spirits. We'll be back!

The whole dining experience is a pleasure to endure. This is our second visit and yet again blown away with the excellent food and service provided by the very knowledgeable staff. The atmosphere was pleasant and the tables comfortable. All round 5 star dining experience. We'll be back again very soon!

We've stopped here a couple of times for a drink on our way home. We've not ordered food as yet, but the menu looks good. The place is really nice. Pretty location. Clean. We'll be returning.

We stayed overnight in our motorhome in the carpark after having the most wonderful evening meal. Lovely friendly& helpful staff. Would highly recommend - the meal was 10/10 with very reasonable prices.

Came for Sunday lunch today, all four meals were amazing. Credit to the team who were all great, would highly recommend!

Recently revisited with family having not been in a couple of years. Pleasantly surprised with a more modern menu and improved service. Decent portion sizes and generally good quality although my pie crust was rock hard in parts. We can on a Saturday lunch and whilst it wasn't very busy we had booked in case.

Went out to the Altis for a meal on the 25th Feb and chose from the evening set menu. Very pleasantly surprised the food is a definite step up from the previous menu, it was well presented, tasty and definitely much better quality and value for money.

Me and my wife had a table booked for the two of us. We've always driven past it on the way to York and the car park has always been full so we thought we'd give it a try tonight. The place is also dog friendly which is a huge bonus and Sonny made alot of friends their with the polite and attentive staff. The place was quiet but had a nice warm and relaxed atmosphere. We opted for the 3 course set menu and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious. Cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Came to around £70 for the both of us. Thoroughly enjoyed it there and it certainly won't be our last visit. Highly recommended for great food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere with the inclusion of dogs.

Ordered the sausage and mash with caramelised onion gravy , it looked delicious when put in the table , but once started eating the gravy was so sweet like it had golden syrup in ! After half a sausage and a few forks of mash I couldn’t take the sweetness, when the waitress cleared the table , I said to her I couldn’t eat it as it was overpoweringly sweet, her reply was they use caramelised onion chutney in it , so that’s why , no apology couldn’t really have cared less ! Will not be going back !!!!!!

Booking was easy. Having a dog was no problem Menu was lovely Something for everyone from 6yrs to 73yrs. Waitresses we're lovely and very efficient. They even sang " happy birthday" when they bought my cake out which was provided by my family.

Great pub in a very convenient location. Only 3 of us but they easily catered for larger groups

Came for a birthday meal and it was rather disappointing, food was cold or overcooked, we weren’t asked how are meals were however I do appreciate this was on a busy Saturday night however, we paid over £200 for the meal which was fine however not when the food was Wetherspoons quality. We have been a few times now and each time has been excellent however because of the experience last night, I probably won’t return. The serving staff and bar staff were really good and had no issues with them.

Called in on the way back from York we were met by lovely staff member who looked after us and gave great service- lovely place we had a nice meal table service and enjoyed our visit.

I held my daughters baby shower in the chapel. The staff right from the start to the day of the shower went well above all expectations. The venue was amazing, staff great couldn't do enough for us. The food from the Gold buffet was tasty, plenty of food served and was presented lovely. If you have a gathering please use this place, you won't be disappointed. Really made my daughters baby shower go beautiful. Rhea and Megan you were brilliant along with all the staff.

I held my daughters baby shower in the chapel at Altisidora. The staff were amazing from booking right up to the 8th February when we held the baby shower. We ordered from the Gold buffet and everyone enjoyed the meal. Megan and Rhea along with all the staff were amazing and went above my expectations. If anyone is planning a gathering for around 20 people then you won't be disappointed here. Thank you for helping my daughters baby shower go wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Fast, friendly and efficient service. Hot tasty food.

Food was nice enough, nice big place there was a few options off the menu available but that was because the new menu was about to start a few days later, I did come and have the Xmas menu and thought it was poor but everyone enjoyed the normal menu items and I will definitely go back as it's situated in a good spot for me to meet up with extended family a few times a year.

Came in to have the old menu one last time before the new one starts, as usually the food was really tasty, and came out quickly! Also had one of the espresso martinis which was excellent!🍸 We'll definitely be back in to try the new menu!

We only had a drink and to be honest the pub was quiet so Atmosphere could not be gauged.

Took our friends along for thier first visit on Thurs 30 January. They wasn't impressed..Altisadora had run out of potatoe and Leek pie,so went for feta and watermelon salad ,they had no watermelon, so had a made up meal of veggie burger with no bun and mash and veggies.It was ok but think the burger had been microwaved wasnt very nice. Dissapointed I was charged for a full leek pie meal cos the till didn't recognise the made up meal...A reduced price meal would have made it a better visit.Dont think our friends will visit again and we won't be going again anytime soon..Dissapointed cos we had gone the day before and the fish and chips wer loveley..Service was good and the excuse for running out of food was because they wer changing the menu...poor..

Came in for lunch today with a few friends, had the chicken Caesar salad and was the best one I’ve had in a long time! Staff were lovely and really inviting, really on it with meeting our needs. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely lunch or dinner. Will definetly be back!

WELL.. 1st time we went as a couple. The meal was great. November 24. So we invited a few friends for Sunday lunch/ tea today. January 25. Terrible. One of the meals was just ok. The kids meal was rubbish. The deserts . I wish we hadn't bothered. All of them were around £7 each. Nothing to them. Very. Very small. What a waste of time. Wish we hadn't invited friends. They left feeling let down. The cost of it all was a joke. Well. Live & learn. No rush back. Terrible.

Good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Pub was warm, fairly welcoming and nice enough atmosphere. Bar could have done with a wipe down and a lot of the draught beers were out of stock. We opted for Amstel, which ran out and the bar girl went to change the barrel. However the beer tasted a little flat. Given that the pub was fairly quiet I’d have expected the bar top to be cleaner. Pub could do with a spruce up/lick of paint but I would still return as I like the location and the food reviews looked pleasing. One further comment, I noticed Beavertown branded rubber bar matts on display, however no Beavertown was on, which was a shame. The staff seemed pleasant enough and I noticed one of the girls helping a dear old lady up the stairs which was cute.

Been visiting for 45 years. Still consistently good food and beverages.

Better than pub grub and great service too.

Unfortunately, the Altisidora has really gone down in my estimation. I do know that Sunday lunch is busy but having to wait for over 30 mins for food is not ok. When the food arrived the Pork was extremely dry, no crackling and no serving utensils for the cauliflower cheese. (I actually saw a table try to serve themselves with their fork!) No table check either. Granted I was given a 30% refund of the main meal which was very good of them. When I mentioned the crackling and dryness of the meat I was told that the crackling had run out and I had the last of the pork. If I had known beforehand I would have turned it down. The toilets, with ill fitting seats and graffiti on the doors and seats in the restaurant that were ripped was so disappointing. Altisidora used to be a lovely restaurant but now it is just sad and unloved.

Good Boxing Day food, and the friendly, professional staff made this a great experience. Thank you, and I hope that you have a successful and prosperous 2025. See you again.

We held a Family party at Altisadora and it was excellent. We had a combination of the silver buffet and sandwich buffet which was also excellent. Plenty of food for everyone.

Firstly we ordered red wine glasses come different sizes Second we all ordered steak two of them was hard fat and burnt 3 people we paid £138 Not satisfied at all. I wouldn't recommend to none of my friends Finally when we complain about wine glasses waitresses said sorry won't happen next time. İt's a joke really.

We travel over from Bolton and take my partners parents, who live in Hedon, here every year for a pre-Christmas meal. We all prefer not to have Christmas dinner so we choose from the regular menu. It was excellent again, from the service to the food, and this is why we come back.

We first went for lunch about a month ago because on the very day a discount voucher came through the letterbox. Im so glad we did. Very pleasant staff. Lovely big room and plenty of room between the tables. Delicious pub food. I've had the pie both times. Its not pretentious or grand but just really nice. We went again today for our wedding anniversary lunch. I hope to return before too long.

We had two dogs and six adults. Great drinks brilliant service and amazing food. In some respect I don't want to give a good review I want to keep it private but then I want them to do well. We will be back.

Ordered the Chicken and Chorizo skewers Flatbread was cold and chewy like it had just been miceowaved Fries where cheap takeaway quality Chorizo was burnt yet the onion on the skewers was raw Overall very underwhelming for 16 pounds Staff where apologetic Just won't take my custom there again

The Altisidora pub is simply a harbinger of joy. I have been a regular for some time now, and it continues to delight. Like an old smelly cheese, it grows stronger with each year of age. The staff are delightful, each with their own unique (perhaps quirky) personality. And the Guinness is sheer joy, with each mouthful a cacophony of taste emanating from sensational cellar management and the servers craftsmanship. Bravo to the Altisidora team!

Poorly cooked food. The roast potatoes were like bullets. The wine is outrageously expensive. Two bad experiences mean we won’t visit again!

We decided to drop in on our way home from Christmas shopping as we had eaten here before. Staff were lovely and showed us a table. Asked for a Gluten Free menu but they no longer provide this, you now have to go on their website and check what’s gluten free. Tried to do this but no signal in the village so had to download their WiFi. I found the menu and to be honest it’s not clear what is gluten free. So we had our drinks paid and left. Won’t be going again as there are plenty of places in Beverley that accommodate gluten free so much easier.

Hunters chicken cold, tough , chewy, bacon was overdone didn't even taste the cheese, salad was a handful of mixed lettuce leaves, chips a handful of chips. Caramel tart a really small portion not worth £7-50 .

Had a lovely night at Altis tonight for our Christmas Do. Lovely atmosphere and staff was very kind, above all Holli who served us all night.

First visit in a long time to the Altisidora. Food and service were great, the place did lack a little atmosphere but probably because we were in very early. Would definitely return in the near future.

The food is excellent. The welcome is lovely and the snug was so warm on a miserable cold day. We just wanted to stay in there. Parking was easy.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, lovely ambience, food was served in good time and was delicious. Absolutely love the pudding menu! Kids loved it too and my 10 year old, who is extremely fussy ate all his food, which is a miracle! Overall a lovely dining experience, thank you!

Prompt and attentive service. Good food .We felt we needed a portion of chips to share in addition to our meal.

Rib eye steak just melted in the mouth food was delicious generous portions and presented lovely we shared a pudding but too full to finish it all and the latte was lovely and hot such a relaxing place

Lovely atmosphere, staff were helpful and professional and friendly. BUT the food well I ordered steak which I think was cooked and left on the side wasn't freshly cooked,smelt off and tasted the same so sent it back and got another meal free. Not in any hurry to go back .

We expected more as the pub it's self and the location are lovely even when entering the pub we thought it looked nice. But unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down, we did the typical English thing when asked if everything was OK we just smiled and said yes. I ordered the steak which was the toughest steak I have ever eaten. My partners food was cold, if we had sent it back then we would have been eating separately. This pub could do so much better as its so inviting such a shame the food let's it down.

A poor experience that spoiled my day. A tough stringy steak served rare when ordered .medium cooked. Cold greasy chips no vegetables. A £25 bottle of wine that was worth a fiver. Sea bass so small we had to search for it Crushed new potatoes that were hard and undercooked. When asked by the manager if we had enjoyed ourselves his response was " I don't choose the wine"! It's a pity...the pub looks good and is in an idyllic village location.

We were greeted by a very polite and professional young lady, who provided us with menus and guided us to our table in the dining area. She shortly returned to take our drinks order. The menu selection was extensive. A little confusing were the different deals available across the different menus. There was only a short wait between ordering and receiving our food. Presentation was excellent and we were very satisfied with the quality fo the food. All in all we were very pleased with the whole experience.
