Been visiting for 45 years. Still consistently good food and beverages.

Better than pub grub and great service too.

Unfortunately, the Altisidora has really gone down in my estimation. I do know that Sunday lunch is busy but having to wait for over 30 mins for food is not ok. When the food arrived the Pork was extremely dry, no crackling and no serving utensils for the cauliflower cheese. (I actually saw a table try to serve themselves with their fork!) No table check either. Granted I was given a 30% refund of the main meal which was very good of them. When I mentioned the crackling and dryness of the meat I was told that the crackling had run out and I had the last of the pork. If I had known beforehand I would have turned it down. The toilets, with ill fitting seats and graffiti on the doors and seats in the restaurant that were ripped was so disappointing. Altisidora used to be a lovely restaurant but now it is just sad and unloved.

Good Boxing Day food, and the friendly, professional staff made this a great experience. Thank you, and I hope that you have a successful and prosperous 2025. See you again.

We held a Family party at Altisadora and it was excellent. We had a combination of the silver buffet and sandwich buffet which was also excellent. Plenty of food for everyone.

Firstly we ordered red wine glasses come different sizes Second we all ordered steak two of them was hard fat and burnt 3 people we paid £138 Not satisfied at all. I wouldn't recommend to none of my friends Finally when we complain about wine glasses waitresses said sorry won't happen next time. İt's a joke really.

We travel over from Bolton and take my partners parents, who live in Hedon, here every year for a pre-Christmas meal. We all prefer not to have Christmas dinner so we choose from the regular menu. It was excellent again, from the service to the food, and this is why we come back.

We first went for lunch about a month ago because on the very day a discount voucher came through the letterbox. Im so glad we did. Very pleasant staff. Lovely big room and plenty of room between the tables. Delicious pub food. I've had the pie both times. Its not pretentious or grand but just really nice. We went again today for our wedding anniversary lunch. I hope to return before too long.

Lovely service, and reasonable. There were a lot of us having a meal and the staff did very well.

We had two dogs and six adults. Great drinks brilliant service and amazing food. In some respect I don't want to give a good review I want to keep it private but then I want them to do well. We will be back.

Ordered the Chicken and Chorizo skewers Flatbread was cold and chewy like it had just been miceowaved Fries where cheap takeaway quality Chorizo was burnt yet the onion on the skewers was raw Overall very underwhelming for 16 pounds Staff where apologetic Just won't take my custom there again

The Altisidora pub is simply a harbinger of joy. I have been a regular for some time now, and it continues to delight. Like an old smelly cheese, it grows stronger with each year of age. The staff are delightful, each with their own unique (perhaps quirky) personality. And the Guinness is sheer joy, with each mouthful a cacophony of taste emanating from sensational cellar management and the servers craftsmanship. Bravo to the Altisidora team!

We decided to drop in on our way home from Christmas shopping as we had eaten here before. Staff were lovely and showed us a table. Asked for a Gluten Free menu but they no longer provide this, you now have to go on their website and check what’s gluten free. Tried to do this but no signal in the village so had to download their WiFi. I found the menu and to be honest it’s not clear what is gluten free. So we had our drinks paid and left. Won’t be going again as there are plenty of places in Beverley that accommodate gluten free so much easier.

Poorly cooked food. The roast potatoes were like bullets. The wine is outrageously expensive. Two bad experiences mean we won’t visit again!

Hunters chicken cold, tough , chewy, bacon was overdone didn't even taste the cheese, salad was a handful of mixed lettuce leaves, chips a handful of chips. Caramel tart a really small portion not worth £7-50 .

Had a lovely night at Altis tonight for our Christmas Do. Lovely atmosphere and staff was very kind, above all Holli who served us all night.

First visit in a long time to the Altisidora. Food and service were great, the place did lack a little atmosphere but probably because we were in very early. Would definitely return in the near future.

Despite the awful weather outside we had a lovely meal for 2 in this cozy pub. The chorizo and truffle mac and cheese was amazing, service was brilliant and prices were good also! Thanks guys

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, lovely ambience, food was served in good time and was delicious. Absolutely love the pudding menu! Kids loved it too and my 10 year old, who is extremely fussy ate all his food, which is a miracle! Overall a lovely dining experience, thank you!

The food is excellent. The welcome is lovely and the snug was so warm on a miserable cold day. We just wanted to stay in there. Parking was easy.

Regularly come here for coffee on Fridays. Great service, Megan has the trays with cups etc lined up bang on the button for when we arrive. The usual please!! 👍😁😁😀☕☕☕

We are 4 friends who regularly come to you for a lunch and catch up. We have always thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff are extremely good. Prompt and attentive service. Good food .We felt we needed a portion of chips to share in addition to our meal.

Rib eye steak just melted in the mouth food was delicious generous portions and presented lovely we shared a pudding but too full to finish it all and the latte was lovely and hot such a relaxing place

Lovely atmosphere, staff were helpful and professional and friendly. BUT the food well I ordered steak which I think was cooked and left on the side wasn't freshly cooked,smelt off and tasted the same so sent it back and got another meal free. Not in any hurry to go back .

We expected more as the pub it's self and the location are lovely even when entering the pub we thought it looked nice. But unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down, we did the typical English thing when asked if everything was OK we just smiled and said yes. I ordered the steak which was the toughest steak I have ever eaten. My partners food was cold, if we had sent it back then we would have been eating separately. This pub could do so much better as its so inviting such a shame the food let's it down.

We were greeted by a very polite and professional young lady, who provided us with menus and guided us to our table in the dining area. She shortly returned to take our drinks order. The menu selection was extensive. A little confusing were the different deals available across the different menus. There was only a short wait between ordering and receiving our food. Presentation was excellent and we were very satisfied with the quality fo the food. All in all we were very pleased with the whole experience.

A poor experience that spoiled my day. A tough stringy steak served rare when ordered .medium cooked. Cold greasy chips no vegetables. A £25 bottle of wine that was worth a fiver. Sea bass so small we had to search for it Crushed new potatoes that were hard and undercooked. When asked by the manager if we had enjoyed ourselves his response was " I don't choose the wine"! It's a pity...the pub looks good and is in an idyllic village location.

I don't write many reviews unless my experience was exceptionally good/bad. In this case it was exceptionally bad. Service was slow. The staff seemed to be impressed with themselves that they could take orders by memory (which initially impressed all of us dining) until our drinks arrived one short, (it took me 3 attempts to persuade them to bring me a lime and soda water). When the main arrived one of the mains was missing a side of onion rings and my chicken and mushroom pie (£13.95!), genuinely resembled a pukka pie that I occasionally bought when going to Hull City. The general quality and portions of food was below par. The place was really quiet and yet service was delayed. My wife ordered a desert and the jug of custard looked like it had been filled using a pippette, (they did fill it when asked). I realise this place is a chain pub but the decor inside and and out (really nice to be honest) and the location of the pub would suggest to me it would be of much better quality. I would recommend choosing Ferguson Fawcett any day of the week, (apart from Mondays - Wednesdays as they don't serve food, that is what lead us to dining at Altisidora). Won't be going back.

Called in for a coffee on the way home and then told they needed the table shortly in a near empty pub.

every month i treat my wife to lunch at altisadora and we always find it excellent the food is exceptional, the staff are very friendly the restaurant is very clean and homely we never had cause to complain i quite often tell my friends how nice it is and they now are customers too thank you to you all, i look forward to my next visit in the very near future

A real treat if you are visiting Beverley! Food was delicious and served with a smile, the team were very attentive. Highly recommend for a meal with family and friends - the steak & ale pie was to die for!

We booked for a lunch after the burial setvice of my wifes mother. The staff were so obliging and attentative when we booked and during lunch. Food was excellent atmosphere was excellent.

We have just enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Altisidora. We were welcomed by Hollie who was friendly and helpful The food, a mixed grill and hunters chicken, was superb. The BEST pub meal we have had in years! We will definitely return.

The prices were reasonable, and the portions were huge! I had the steak, which was cooked perfectly, and the beer was cold and refreshing. Excellent pub for both food and drinks – highly recommend

Had a lovely experience in Altisidora tonight. It was really busy but they managed to accommodate the 3 of us and our pooch. We had a reasonable wait for food but like I say they were busy and we were kept well informed of how soon our food would come and also the manager brought my sons food out as soon as it was ready which I thought was a lovely touch. He also gave us a round of drinks on the house due to the wait which again was a lovely touch. We felt well looked after and the food was beautiful and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend 😊

Used the 30% off mains voucher (think this brought mains price down to normal other pub prices) Very nice food, my leek & potato pie was tasty & generous size as was my husband’s meat pie. Daughters macaroni cheese dish was however on the very small size & hardly any sauce. Exceptional service by a gent, very enthusiastic & watched him serve the same on other tables., well done to him for his up beat personally. Wish I’d caught his name to personally recommend to his employer

We visited often for the Sunday roast. The food and service are always great. It's a lovely pub which feels very authentic and well looked after. The tram are great, nothing is too much trouble and they always look after us. Ample carpakring and a nice garden outside. They sometimes run a 30% off mains offer which is great

Party of 9 across 3 generations. We entered the pub and no one was around so stood at the bar for 5 minutes waiting. Eventually we were shown to our table. At this time we received a surly and abrupt welcome. It was clear to all of us that the staff member didn’t want to be there nor want us there. He noticed that we had a discount voucher and bluntly said the 9th person would have to be charged sep. if that’s the policy fine but to address this without welcoming us first felt quite jarring. Then he emphasised how only 2 staff members were working and left it at that. He didn’t try to frame it positively perhaps by saying they would do their best or words to that effect. It was as if it was our problem! After 15 minutes we finally caught the waiters eye and was able to order drinks. Again, after a further 10 minutes had elapsed we managed to get his attention and ordered food. It should be stressed that the place did not appear to be all that busy. Food served some 45 minutes after ordering. Waiter had asked my youngest daughter, aged19, for ID. Appreciated his position in this and ID was shown. On ordering 2nd round of drinks he asked my eldest daughter for ID. Hannah is and looks 28. She had no ID and the waiter refused to serve. His manner throughout was curt, like an overly officious traffic warden! We politely explained how ridiculous this was given that our youngest had already demonstrated she was if the legal age to be served. He was quite adamant that he was not prepared to use basic common sense. Food quality was poor and way overpriced. For example, we joked that we needed a steak knife for the chicken. The chips were frozen and had an awful crunch to them. All of us were very disappointed, particularly compared to other eateries in and around Beverley that we frequent. Even with the discount voucher the food was way overpriced. The consensus was that it’s on a par with a Weatherspoons type place. Such a shame given the location and look of the place.

No food left , no Sunday roasts , no kebabs. Food slapped onto plates with no care and very poor quality food all processed and not worth the money. Will definitely not be back ..

The glasses appeared dirty and after asking for another glass it was the same. I was told it was from the chemicals in the dishwasher. I noticed one of the bowls was chipped at the bottom. My partner had baked feta which he enjoyed although it was spicy. I had butternut squash soup. Reasonable prices and it filled a gap as we were passing through.

My partner and I stayed overnight in our camper van in their car park. We were not asked for any payment but we had a superb meal and the staff were very friendly. The toilets were open from 8am and were very good. We couldn’t recommend this place any higher.

The Altisidora is a good pub with a pleasant atmosphere and quality food, but it’s a bit on the pricey side. Its location feels a bit out of the way for a casual boozer, giving it more of an eatery vibe than a typical local pub. While it's worth a visit for a meal, it might not be the go-to spot for a quick pint.

Had a local power cut so popped in for a bite to eat, wasn’t disappointed, the staff were super friendly and the food hit the spot, very tasty and all fresh. Will definitely return and highly recommend. We were served by Sapphire.

Bad service, my friend is disabled so couldn't get up steps to restaurant was going to sit us on hight chairs. Food nothing special, running around All the time if they had a few people in beer 4.80 pint will not be going again.

Absolutely disastrous - a true waste of money - shocking service and dry average food... Don't bring people here - it was so disappointing and embarrassed i booked it! Visiting my East Riding Beverley and Bridlington Family with friends from New Zealand - so booked well in advance to secure a table in the Dining Room and quiet - to the side. 1] Bad organisation - Arrived at 3pm (our allocated time slot) to be told the people on our table were just ordering dessert - so we should sit on a table in the bar area where the dogs sit and with no aircon or cutlery!! patched up tables, non matching chairs, like a jumble sale! We had a 3 yr old allergic to dogs hence specified the dining room! They should have moved the other guests - don't book slots if you don't intend to use them... 2] Bad Service - Appalling Staff with Attitude - firstly they forgot the 7 yr olds Pepsi, when we got up to remind them, they said they were doing, had to go to the bar to ask a 3rd time before we got it. Waitress in such a rush and so disinterested she took off before one person had ordered and we had to call her back. The worst was the young guy - he brought 3 sets of cutlery wrapped in serviettes for 8 people. We asked for more serviettes, he came back with 2. I asked why he though 2 was enough - he came back with a handful land slammed them on the table without speaking! Rude!! Needless to say we left no tip. 3] Food - very average to poor. 5 meals came out, 1 was totally incorrect and sent back - it took 15 mins to come out. After we suggested other start - 2 more meals, then the last 1 ten mins later - very poor kitchen management by a clearly incompetent chef / team. Some had the trio of roast - served all day allegedly - we were told Beef was gone just after 12 - don't do an all day roast or put an extra joint in!! Yorkshire Puds - dry and looked like they had been sat on. Gravy watery. Plate was mainly peas / veg - they suggested as no beef, have more pork and turkey which sounds fine - but the portions were tiny - 2 small pieces of pork which was meant to me 1/5 servings??? Then they told the table behind - we are out of pork!! Why open really!!!!!!!! 4] Menu not followed - asked where the crackling was and why the pork dinners didn't have any - waitress said i don't know and eventually as they finished their meals, appeared with some ! We ordered extra stuffing GBP1.29 so not cheap - each plate had 2 balls - menu said with stuffing - they said you get 1 ball and you ordered extra - you get 2 extra - insisted she remove that from the invoice. Ordered pigs in blanks - again a GBP4 extra - when it wasn't served with the meals, we reminded them - they again said OK - the 3 undercooked sausages came at the end of the meal, they knew and said there would be no charge - then they tried to charge for them! The worst was the roast potatoes - the important part of any Sunday Roast - these were boiled - white potatoes and dipped in fat - no browning and not been roasted for more than 30 sec!!!! Truly disappointing food!! What an absolute waste of money!! This is just some of the comments we could make... Had to then argue with the cashier to get the pigs removed, then the stuffing - i even had a photo to show her - what a terrible experience - too many youngsters no senior manager or franchise owner - someone needs to take charge of the place and improve the diners experience - it isn't cheap, but the food and service is!! We had intended to have desserts - we skipped it after the experience - we left and went to the Dog and Duck which was different again! If you have the option, do not eat at this Chain Pub - such a pity for such a lovely location.

Very poor now. Steak too tough to eat. Salad prepared without any love. Staff resigned to failure. What a shame. It used to be recommendable.

Ate here about a fortnight ago. Food was very poor. Staff were stressed and distracted; verging on just plain rude. After a long wait for food it was unceremoniously dumped in front of us with some of it ending up on the table. No apology. No acknowledgement from the member of staff whatsoever that he had made a portion of a meal inedible. No idea what was going on with staff that day. Normally bubbly and helpful this time they seemed to be on a completely different planet. No communication from management after leaving a private response to the "how did we do" email received after every visit; hence the public review. Would struggle to recommend based on last performance alone, especially with the complete lack of response from management. Recently meals had been excellent here, and really do hope this was a blip.

As a regular customer I have noticed on the last couple of visits the standard of meal presentation has reduced. I suspect a change of Chef. I wanted to bring this to the notice of the manager but was unable to find any contact details.

All the staff without exception are extremely professional in their approach to providing good customer care. Each member is friendly and more than happy to help when requested. The food is well prepared and cooked with potions good value for money.

I brought my family to this restaurant recently and we were ultra disappointed. We ordered fish and chips, and it came cremated and dry, as well as hunters chicken, which also came dry and overcooked. We pointed this out to the waitress who didn’t really seem to care. She certainly didn’t offer any alternatives other than a sorry. When it came to the bill she very sheepishly asked if we wanted to pay by card, took the payment and very quickly scuttled off. Personally, I would have been embarrassed to A, serve that food and B, ask for full payment for it, but here we are. We also had issues with rudeness over cutlery etc, but that’s not really the issue. We absolutely wouldn’t go back. We had inferior quality food and service for the price we paid, which in total was significant. We certainly wouldn’t ever go back and wouldn’t recommend it. They served what they served as well as charged us what they charged, and we were hugely disappointed with both. What a shame. We’ve been to this restaurant previously and always been happy with the experience. Clearly standards have slipped.

Absolutely gorgeous food, very very accommodating. Visited multiple times. Rang up and asked if they could accommodate a little birthday gathering they even put up a banner and some balloons for us! 🥰

Had to wait nearly half an hour for drink, as they had forgotten it. Ordered blue cheese and steak sandwich. Came without blue cheese. I asked for some, so it came out in a bowl!!! Steak had that much fat in it it was impossible to cut. The waiter was lovely, lady behind bar, very understanding, full refund for food given when asked. Food inedible.
