Disgusting attitude from one of the male staff members! What started out as a lovely afternoon turned into a horrendous experience. The bar is supposed to be dog friendly however when my dog had a wee a staff member accused me of just ignoring it when he had blatantly stood and seen the dog wee and i hadnt noticed as I also had a 9 year old with me (these things obviously happen) He then proceeded to argue with me in the middle of the bar about a little bit of wee, telling me I should have told someone, but I'd seem him watching and he had already noticed! I will not be returning, due to this staff members vile attitude! For the record the girl behind the bar was lovely and very pleasant!

I can honestly say this place was great before lockdown…….. Issues… There is no real service here, Firstly the staff are not motivated, no eye contact, no conversation, no smiles. Staff don’t work as a team. Example 8 people waiting for coffee, 1 barista doing all the drinks.. one stood making signs, one stood around waiting to serve people (no one was at the til at this point) Secondly.. Issues above may help with some background music in the place.. it’s like a morgue and with the staff morale it feels like it. Screens are still up which gives a hostile atmosphere. Thirdly.. Food.. pre lockdown food was served on plates, sandwiches were lovely and fresh…Coffees in cups.. currently and still served in paper cups, such as waste and not recyclable. Food served in takeaway cartons which are left under hot-lamps. Put some form of music back in there, start serving food on plates and using tea and coffee cups, take the plastic screens down.. It may make the staff happier and get some job satisfaction when they can interact with the customers. Also it needs brightening up on there too… it’s just a little dull

Ordered tea and bacon butties for 2. Tea arrived with dirty milk jug, asked about our butties 30 minutes after ordering, waitress advised the chef said the was a problem with his grill. No apology for wasting our time, apparently no frying pans or a microwave to overcome the chefs dramatic issues. This place was a dump 10 years ago, nothings changed. Don’t waste your money supporting this dirty and inept greasy spoon.

My wife and I and a friend visited just for morning coffees and a piece of cake. The coffees were good and the slices of (various) cake were large and tasty. The staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. The views from this restaurant are wonderful. The building itself could perhaps do with a bit of TLC.

My daughter and I visited the Ski Centre after finding the Cable Car closed. We had a game of mini golf, costing 4 pounds each. The course is in a nice enough location, but is very shabby, in need of repair and needs stones etc removing. After the golf we went into the cafe for a drink and a "hot" crepe. What a disaster! I have never waited so long for a pancake in my life. The cafe wasn't busy and people who had ordered burgers etc got theirs before our first disastrous crepe arrived. When it arrived it was stone cold and crisp, so back it went. The second arrived (my daughter was still waiting for hers), and it was like thin, dry rubber. Back it went again! I asked the lad to swap both crepes for waffles instead. Fifty-five minutes after placing our original order, the waffles eventually came. Other customers were asking about the delay too. I very rarely complain in restaurants, but on this occasion I decided to ask to speak to the manager to give him chance to sort things out before I wrote a bad review on here. The manager came down after about 10 minutes, but only spoke to the staff and never came to see me! I eventually went to ask the waiter where the manager was and he just said he'd give me my money back. The waffles themselves were ok, but the wait was totally unacceptable in a relatively quiet cafe. I looked at a few other reviews on here before I wrote this one. I was shocked to see that people were commenting up to 7 years ago about the state of the decor, tables and toilets, as nothing seems to have changed! Such a shame. As others have commented, this place should be a goldmine in the right hands, with such gorgeous views. The whole place needs money spending on it and maybe some training for the manager in customer service. I do not blame the staff one bit as they were pleasant enough.

Searching for sustenance whilst having a wander this whole place was a fascination. Big and cosy inside I still opted for an outside seat. Had a locally brewed Great Orme beers and a waffle with all the trimmings. The latter was awful. My own fault. This place is what it is and I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.

Visited here as a party of five. We didn't chose any food but we all had various drinks. I had a nice Latte which was served with a friendly smile by the young waitress. Plentiful seating was available which included one massive table which must have been about twelve foot long. There didn't appear to be much on offer food wise but as far as coming for a coffee is concerned this was a welcome visit.

Visited here today and was shocked by food on offer, basically a roll (cheese, ham, turkey nothing fancy) and wedges £8 or panini and wedges £9. No drink included. We have been in the past and had burgers and much more choice. So I ordered rolls and wedges for the kids and was shocked at was bought out, for that price I was expecting a rather large roll but no they were small burger size rolls with a handful of wedges, for £8 I could have bought a pack of 12 rolls and a bag of frozen wedges as well as the cheese and ham, instead I paid £27 for 3 meals and drinks! Won’t be visiting again! Very disappointed

My husband and I wanted a low key wedding and somewhere to go after the registry office and before the hotel for the night. We popped in here and asked if they could reserve some seating for us. The manager was lovely and agreed to do this with no charge. Every one of our guests loved this place. The views are stunning, the food is very good and the staff are friendly. It is in such a perfect spot. We even went on the toboggan in our wedding outfits. I can't fault this place. It is special to us and we would highly recommend a visit. There is also a ski slope and lots of lovely walks from here.

Staff were extremely welcoming as was the resident dog, Fergus!Views from the lodge are stunning, which is why we didn't notice the decor which other reviewers complained about. Although dogs are allowed in cafes thanks to a ridiculous EU regulation, I don't think it's ok for a dog to be roaming around a cafe, without a leash and especially not up at a table eating leftovers! I pointed this out to a young lass behind the bar who simply replied "it's the owners dog, it's ok".....The coffees (latte) were an exact translation; i.e. they were purely milk, NO coffee beans to be tasted. Table top was sticky to touch and the furniture and decor was rather dated and shabby, desperately in need of a re-fresh.I'm not a fan of dogs in cafes (I have 2 at home) and it can be off putting to those people who don't like dogs. Alpine Lodge is set in a fantastic location with an amazing view of the bay but you are let down the second you step inside. I expected better at one of Llandudno's top attractions. I recommend the toboggan run but eat/drink elsewhere such as the re-vamped Fortes on Mostyn St.

Having visited many many times I cannot understand why something isn't done to improve this place - it has the potential to be so much much better. It has a lackluster atmosphere doesn't know what it is or what it is trying to be. Beer is average taste but expensive and usually one is waiting to go rather than to stay. Food? don't even think of using this place for a special occasion its hardly suitable for anything other than if you are really hungry. Yet its in the most delightful setting overlooking the bay with good car parking. Beats me why it hasn't become a fish restaurant specialising in that type of thing. There is very little around like that. .

This could be such a stunning (and money-spinning) attraction, overlooking the ski slope and bay as it does. Instead what is offered is a very tired, shabby, messy, and depressing alpine lodge serving mediocre drinks (even two drinks caused the bar staff confusion). I actually like the Alpine Lodge. Yes it is grotty on the inside but the food is very good value for money. The menu is a bit basic but everything I'd tried has been tasty enough. The views are the main selling point though and make it worth the effort. Don't be put off by the indifferent reviews, give it a try and make your own mind up, just don't go on a foggy day.

The Alpine Lodge is to be found at the Llandudno Ski Slope on the lower slopes of the Great Orme. I think it's fair to describe it as a building in need of a major redecoration, to be honest the interior is a dump. However if you can visit on a dry, sunny day and if you're lucky enough to snag one of the outdoor tables on the balcony there's no better place in Llandudno to grab a quick snack. The views from the balcony are great, not to mention you can enjoy watching the skiers on the ski slope below trying to dodge the sheep wandering aimlessly about. The food is decent enough and reasonable value but the main reason to visit is the view. Basically it's highly recommended but only on the condition you sit outside.

came here for lunch with my young 2 daughters, we all had just plain cheese and onion paninis and cups of coffee which one would think couldn’t be served wrong however, 2 of the 3 paninis lacked cheese all 3 were cold including our coffees, I attempted to complain to a young lady who seemed to be in charge , she refused to take our food and drinks back and told me if we didn’t like the food we were free to go elsewhere. very unwelcoming wouldn’t recommend.
