Why even bother having a takeaway if youre not going to ever pick the phone up.

Our worst Chinese takeaway of the year. Positives: Cheap, hot food, and (suspiciously) fast service. Negatives: Dishes have very little meat (i.e. half the amount you'd expect), and lack flavour. Inexplicably badly-organised menu. Cash-only.

I had the House special curry and a beef chowmein Large portions and enjoyed it all

Reasonably priced but why do the dishes have to be so SWEET? I chose chicken with bamboo shoots and water chestnuts as it should be a savoury dish. Disappointed

Friendly guy, I asked for no prawns in my curry and he got it right - no issue. Special curry was delicious. Beef tender and NOT the common chewy shoe leather. Fried rice was extra delicious. Kung Po Beef tender and delicious. Savoury, sweet and had a red chilli kick in store for you. No bum burn though. Beef chow mein tasty but needs beansprouts imo. Still good though. I'm here again 3 days later waiting for them to open.

Most stale chips I’ve ever had from a Chinese take away! Chicken is frozen processed square chunks… I get many take aways and can honestly say this is not good!

Awful. £30 spent on set meal for 2. Most of it went in the bin. Spare ribs dry and old no sauce. Chicken balls tough, chicken and mushroom undercooked and greasy sauce. Rice also greasy. If not for the fact that we live in Wooler and it was 9pm I would have returned it. Never again.

Absolutely inedible!!! Duck chop suey was a few small pieces of duck, a few bean sprouts and a thick gooey tasteless sauce. Noodles looked like warmed up spaghetti with….the same sauce. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Tried for 15 mins at 5pm to get through to order a takeaway .Every time I try to phone to put an order in I have the same problem. Gave up in the end . You 've just lost an order Sort out your answering system bcos you're losing a lot of trade !!!

The Chop Suey House is absolutely amazing the best Chinese in Alnwick. The guy at front desk is friendly and welcoming and gets your order straight away. We Highly recommend giving these a visit! There's an array of delicious choices from the menu.

Cant even answer their phone at 5.30pm on a Saturday.

Ordered last night and my god absolutely beautiful! looked forward to it all day and it didn't disappointing, well seasoned, piping hot food and a decent portion for the price. Great Job.

We decided on a takeaway from Chop Suey as a last minute decision. The service was good and fast, too! What we had ordered was a pretty basic meal; Chicken & Beef Chow Mein, Satay Chicken, a portion of boiled rice, additional noodles and prawn crackers. The menu has plenty to go at and is full of quality dishes. We enjoyed what we had and thought it was value for money, too! We'd definitely recommend.

Ingredients are not high quality, not prepared well. Egg rolls are terrible.

Pretty good Chinese takeout in Alnwick at very affordable prices - we enjoyed the tender prawn and pork dishes that came with fried rice. Food is on the saucy side, which may not be to everyone’s preferences. Overall, a great take out to catch a quick meal!

Went there for lunch the other day as we are working in the area. Had the chicken chow mein and it really wasn’t good. Wasnt fresh an tasted awful.

Great food but realised part of the order was missing when we arrived home. (10 miles away!) Just double check your order before leaving the shop!! Will definitely return again though…

The take away is very local for us and the food is excellent I would highly recommend it's the best in Alnwick thank you.

Spent over£12 and didn't get anything that I had ordered, noodles and beansprouts, not be back!

Average size portions but at a good price. The Kung po was not as spicy as I'd hoped. If I was going again I'd try something else.

Great takeaway Chinese, the best I’ve had since moving south from Glasgow, and I’ve tried a good few! I would recommend to anyone.

Great food, for Northumberland. It’s not Chinatown quality, but it’s better than I could make and better than I can buy from a supermarket.

Absolute garbage, don't bother wasting your money. You can get a better curry from the chippy. One plus, prawn crackers are decent.
