We live in the village but first time tonight trying takeaway had chicken gyros box and Greek chicken in sauce with rice, totally worth the money restaurant style, and presented fantastically although takeaway, portion sizes very generous wouldn’t hesitate to order again

My friend and I were looking for somewhere new to go for lunch, and the greek dishes on offer sounded good, so in we went. We were briefly greeted upon entering and sat down; as no-one else was in, we thought we’d be approached quickly with menus and to take our drinks order - sadly not, as the young chap at the bar decided wiping the counter down was more important. So, after a few more minutes I went to the bar to ask for menus and order drinks; you’d think he would’ve said sit down and I’ll come over now to take your order and bring menus but alas no. I asked for lime cordial and a small bottle of sparkling water- neither of which they had. I asked for a bottle of still water and was told we could have tap water. I then asked for two J20s and was given two bottles and two pint glasses, which were swapped out for smaller glasses upon request. I took two menus back to the table with the drinks, but still went back to the bar to order, as nobody came over. My friend went for the creamy Greek chicken phanne (silent ‘e’) which came with rice & salad, and a choice of chips or garlic bread, and I opted for the chicken souvlaki with rice & salad and garlic bread. While we were waiting, the young lad came over to our table and put a plate down with two poppadoms and a spicy dip, and left without saying anything so we assumed they were a complimentary starter - nice thought but surely a small greek treat would have been more in keeping 🤨 Our food came out quite quickly, but my friend was only given the creamy chicken in a skillet on a wooden board and garlic bread - no rice or salad. When queried, the young lad said that was all you get with that dish, so up I went again to the bar, got a menu and pointed out to him that was not the case - some rice came about 5 minutes later, with plenty of apologies, but no salad 🤨 My souvlaki came out right first time. Both meals were nice but portions too big for lunchtime; perhaps putting lunchtime specials/portions on would attract more customers? Our meal came to around £38, as it was £17.99 for the chicken phanne, £13.99 for the souvlaki, and £6 for two J20s. If smaller portions and costs were available, and the front of house staff better trained, we may return.

Popped in around teatime midweek. Menu Indian/Greek/burger/parmo. The missus had chicken Madras and I had full Tandoori chicken. Lovely food and pleasant atmosphere. Bar also decent. Will return, well done all!
