Positives: - good food which was tasty - our group was 5 of us so we ordered the 'alkis special platter' which had portions of different kebabs like chicken wings, lamb chops, ribs, shish and minced lamb and chicken. Which was more than enough and can sample each portion - friendly and attentive staff - got busy at around 6pm

4 of us came and had the chefs special, which is amazing value. The service was great, and am looking forward to trying other dishes in future.

After about 8-12 hours of filming on the motorbike in Kent. What's the best thing coming back to London? Coming here and getting food from Alkis and speaking to the lovely staff. Usually every weekend I'm out recording and then when I come back to London. I stop off here and grab a takeaway. I personally love the lamb donner with chips. The staff are super friendly and nice

The staff are really lovely, I just feel they should be either a restaurant or a takeaway. Their takeaway food seems to not be as good as it was in their first shop. They are always busy in the restaurant..so that speaks volumes, and I do not wish this to be a bad review at all.

Excellent food in a lovely restaurant at very reasonable prices with pleasant staff. Everything we had from starter to mains to Turkish tea was splendid and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Alkis restaurant.

Their service ruins it all. Barely provided the minimum and they are not like any other turkish restaurants. We came for dinner, ordered starter which didn’t come. We mentioned it when the main came, then they made it…For main we ordered mixed platter, we wanted to change the ribs for chops, they said NOT POSSIBLE. We even offered to pay extra, just change it. Ok, we called the manager… We ended up ordering extra 4 chops for £19…Any other turkish restaurant I went it was never a problem or mixed platter came with cops and there was nothing to change. Food was ok, can’t complain about that. We ordered chai and kunefe, the girl with black/blonde hair didn’t even ask the kitchen for the dessert, it never came. We asked the food for takeaway as we had a lot left. They wouldn’t pack the food for you..You scoop the food for yourself and if you make a mess they don’t even clean the table for you before your tea arrives. They never checked on us, we had to call them always to the table. Plus waiting time for taking our order was way too long. They weren’t even understaffed. I know it, I worked 12 years in this industry. They were struggling to interact with us. Even tho we live nearby, I personally won’t come back, luckily the other turkish restaurants I am going normally gives excellent service even on full house.

Over priced how do they get away with it use to be fairly priced but now extortion would not recommend to anyone price of one chilie 50p

Everything about the places is so welcoming. They make you feel relax. The service, cleanliness and the food was second to none, and if you can't finish it,you can always ask for a takeaway box😊Highly recommended 👌🏾

Fantastically consistent and great tasty Adana lamb kebabs and doner kebab. Always great friendly service. Rare to find such a combination nowadays. I am picky about where I eat and come here quite frequently.

Unfortunately the quality of the food must be poor. I was attracted by the smell of grilled meat and ordered a lamb shish. I thought a shish would have been a safe choice.... It tasted nice, but unfortunately after eating it gave me a bad acid reflux. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend it.

I've started eating from Alkis probably 6-7 years ago and my review was five stars but unfortunately after the last 2-3 times getting delivery things have changed. It's expensive and the quality and quantity has significantly dropped. It's a shame as it was my top 1 for kebab. They've started adding chips/rice/bulgur whether u want or not probably just to make the portions bigger. The pita bread it's tescos or something similar. The meat it's always chewy and barely any meat. Overall disappointing..

I love love this place. I would definitely recommend going here for a lovely meal. Came with hubby for dinner date and we were satisfied with everything.

We had lunch at this place for the first time and it was absolutely lovely! The staff super nice and the food was delicious! I really recommend their kunefe is amazing!

The service was bad right from the start. We arrived just after 7:00 PM and asked for a table for 3. The restaurant was fairly busy and well-staffed however we waited almost 5 minutes before even receiving a menu to read. The food was OK but my main gripe is with one of the young, female, white waiting staff who half way through our meal and without any prompting from us whatsoever, asked me if we wanted some extra bread, i.e., I assumed the complementary bread which they served at the beginning of the meal before the main food arrived. I naturally said yes and expected the bread to arrive. I also requested some extra sauces since the food I ordered was fairly dry. So we carried on eating and the minutes ticked away but NO complementary bread OR even the extra sauce I requested arrived. I called the same waiter over and politely reminded her about her promise to serve the complementary bread to us. She behaved totally bemused as if she had no idea what I was talking about but said she will ask about the complementary bread however this waiter did not come back to us to follow-up on this and in the end we never did get the complementary bread we were promised nor the extra sauces either! I would definitely not be dining here again. The restaurant has CCTV cameras so I am sure if the management would like to watch any footage, it will corroborate with my version of events as explained above as well as the behaviour of this member of staff and perhaps there is audio and/or they can lip read what she said. We came here to relax for a long bank holiday weekend. If there was an issue with perhaps the management not serving complementary bread more than once and this waiter was not aware of this fact, this is not an issue at all as we are all human and can make mistakes however to then not has the transparency and just explain that to us, really frustrated me further! It is not as though I we came into the restaurant with a begging bowl asking for some free food... we are PAYING customers and isn't the saying the customer is always right! Very disappointing spent over 23 pounds on two kebabs my mix kebab was dripping with fat not good because I have eaten many time here .this has put me off .Will tell friends and family about the food

Alkis is one of the best turkish restaurant in London. They serve authentic turkish food. The taste is so delicious and the service is excellent. The waiters are very efficient and attentive. They treat the customers equally with respect and very professional. Even the cooks are smiley and welcoming. I love coming here because all the customers feels equally special. The ambience is very class and relaxing. Bilal, Fatih and Elif - Very professional waiters.

The staff are great, I adore the lamb donner 🫶 the XL portion is the perfect amount of food, and for under £13 can't go wrong

Tasty food. Abysmal service. Spilled hot tea all over us in a rush and basically ignored it until we mentioned. Pretty good meat dishes made in the open kitchen. Probably best to get takeaway from here, saves the staff from actually having to engage in social interaction.

Don’t bother coming here for iftar , they don’t have prayer rooms and then the waiters then laugh about it and when I asked to speak to the manager they said there is none . Don’t bother find somewhere else . The prices are also expensive . I was feeing a mocktail but round £8! For 1 mocktail . Absolutely a rip off .

Don’t bother coming here for Ramadan/ iftar as they don’t have a prayer room and the staff were laughing when asked about it. We asked to speak to a manager about the prayer room, they said there’s no manager. Everything feels off. The vibe isn’t that good. How are you serving halal food when you’re also serving alcohol. Makes no sense to me.

The number 1 Turkish restaurant. From the sumptuous food to the vibe and decor, a truly remarkable place for the best authentic Turkish food. The kebabs particularly are simply too good and you must visit Alkis. You’ll be coming back for more and more.

Without doubt, this is the best Turkish restaurant in the local area, no other restaurant can beat it, they do not even come close!! Service here is excellent, I actually think the chef delivered to my door this evening as he had a black cooking apron on! The food is simply delicious, the portions excellent, always fresh and tasty, I highly recommend!! The grilled meats are always soft and succulent, lovely salads, and a fast delivery service! Normally around 30-40 mins so at least you know it is being cooked fresh and properly, unlike other restaurants!!! As Tina Turner would say.... 'simply the best!!' :)

Amazing food deceide to have the mixed grill combo 1 , the food was freshly cooked. Lamb was surprisingly delicious and tender along with the chicken. The lamb chops was so amazing, great drsserts also

One of the best restaurants on this burnt oak broadway colindale strip. The staff is extremely warm and friendly. The service is great and the food is top notch. Loved the chicken Kofte Kebab and baklava. Elif and Bilal are amazing hosts!

Visited for Mother’s Day as a table of five and it was horrendous. The service was so painfully slow and they definitely weren’t prepared to be busy which is mad because most people probably booked ahead so they should be ready. Starters arrived before the very simple drinks, the food then took over an hour to arrive and everything was so slow, the chips we ordered with the meat platter then didn’t arrive until we had already finished our dinner so we sent them away because it was pointless. We then ordered pudding but when it didn’t arrive for 45 minutes we cancelled it, paid and left. Food was okay, service was very poor.

Delicious, varied, no long wait

I ordered chicken doner for take away, when I opened it at home it was a mix of lamb and chicken, I’m actually willing to let it pass because maybe it’s an honest mistake but the amount of chicken is only about 2 spoon full sprinkled on the top and the rice is 3/4 full of the box. I did not bother to bring back because it’s raining but I will never buy here again!

I had dinner here for my birthday meal yesterday and it was lovely. The food was soo good and the waitress serving me was so friendly and welcoming. She even got me a little treat at the end of my meal with a candle and they played a little birthday song.

I think the value is slightly over priced for what it is but, workers are polite and serve at a highly level. Food is good, only thing I don’t like is the lamb doner. Lamb shish and chicken shish is very good.

We have been going to Alkis and ordering from here for years. Staff are really friendly and nice. They cater well for my sons allergies. They have a good selection of food, wraps are tasty, the kofte is delicious, love their rice pudding, actually never had anything that's not good. Would highly recommend here. Prices are a bit higher than before, but worth it.

Alkis is our favourite spot. The food is amazing, especially the lamb shish, and the service is top-notch. It's where we go to make memories with friends over great food and drinks. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!

Disgusting service. I was treated with disrespect when arriving to this restaurant. I was told I was not allowed to eat there, as I was in my gym clothing and that other customers would not want to eat there if I’m sitting in. When I asked to speak to the manager he disappeared in the back, even though I could see him I was told he’s not there 😂.

I've been a long customer of this shop but today will be the last time I will purchase food from them . The quality of the food was not an issue. It's not hard to mess up a burger and chips. When arriving in the shop, I was not offered any seating then once the food was ready I was not allowed to eat there. However the restaurant was moderately seated, so there were customers inside and more enough seating for me. I'm not sure what possessed the man to do this. He was a short man with glasses, extremely rude. I believe he may be the owner . This happened in November, so once I was told I was not allowed in, he cheekily told me to eat outside . At that point , I decided I better cut my losses. I am appalled by the service today. Do better for future customers please!

The owner is Rude, no customer service at all. Shame we used to go to the restaurant, today for the first time went to order take away, misunderstanding in the order, and he didn’t handle the complain with professionalism at all. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Not talking about the food here just customer service.

Disgusting 🤢 I will start with the floor which was sticky and dirty but i pass this The menu it was a little bit dirty and not in good condition the waitresses was rushing us and irritated but I was hoping the food it will be good but in the end when I ordered a cream soup it come with a strand of hair I wasn’t use the toilet but i don’t think it will surprise me with something “amazing “ That was all I wanted to say 👍

Went here for our wedding anniversary with wife and kids, lunch time service on a week day during the summer holidays. The food was delicious, ordered the share plater mixed grill for 6, inlcuded hot and cold mezze, also ordered halloumi cheese and squid rings. Was also served complimentary salad, dips and fresh bread. The grilled meat was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were very generous. The staff who served us were very attentive from the moment we were there and very friendly throughout. We had a very pleasant experience and would definitely return sometime soon with the family.

Food is hit and miss! Sometimes its great. Other time it can be disappointing. Inconsistent! Amount of times staff forget to deliver my order correctly is beyond belief! I find myself paying more than what I am getting.😫. Not good. A lot of room for improvement there.

I recently visited Alkis Turkish restaurant to eat in, and I must say I am also disappointed with the significant pricing discrepancy between eating in and take away (this issue has been raised by other customers). The eat-in price for a falafel was £12.50, while the take-away price was £7. In my opinion, for exactly the same product as I have had take away from this restaurant on many occasions When I raised my concern to the owner, I was met with defensiveness rather than understanding approach. His explanation that they include more hummus in the falafel when you eat in, failed to adequately justify such difference in price. This, despite his own claim of aiming to provide the best value for money without sacrificing quality. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience due to the pricing discrepancy and lack of the owner to acknowledge or address the issue. The owner has had a fair chance to address this point as previously raised by his other customers aslo on google review. Finally, I hope that my feedback helps the restaurant make necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for all customers.

Nice Turkish Restaurant We got a takeaway Portions were generous Price was average roughly £10 each person Service was great the guy who served me really ran around making sure all the food was ready at the same time. They also take credit cards unlike so many locally. Will go back👍🏻

Very bad the pitta bread ripped in pieces chicken not cooked probably. For the money definitely not worth it happened more than 4 times now

Once was best!!, now lacking in flavour, though the size is still OK!. Ordering on web site seems to be the best way, for now! Costs as you might expect have increased, shame about the flavour!!!!

Nice place and kind staff, food is amazing.

The quality and quantity of the food portions has gone down. We used to drive for an hour as this was our favourite, sadly, not a good value for money anymore.

The Lamb Chops are good however they charge 19.50 if you eat in and 16.00 for takeaway!
