Great Indian restaurant, lovely food and great service, have used many times and will use again

Best curry in Wisbech. As good as ever.

I love Indian food & going out for a curry with friends is always a good time but Alishan is not a good restaurant……. Been twice now in large group & our food was bland, the service is appalling with rude staff who want your money but get rude when you want more drinks @ 9.30pm on a Friday night? Maybe this restaurant was good years ago as everyone tells me, but not now.

Food delicious , meat tender and rice good. Staff friendly and helpful, the owner was attentive. Prices reasonable.

We had a takeaway the food was top quality and was ready to pickup when I arrived and it was nice and hot. The only down side was the website the login process is shocking.

Absolutely dismal… Onion bhajis clearly pre-cooked and re-heated in microwave, rubbery and totally inedible. Flavourless curries. Very disappointing!

The food is okay .. to be honest, not the best curry I have had lately . Don't like the way they stack the rice trays on top of each other when they come to serve it to you. And they re-use the sauce that is served aswell.

The food is always great, we often go on the banquet night so the service is slightly slower but always worth the wait.

Bloody wonderful place well worth travelling 10 miles to,have been going there for many years. Try it.

What a let down never again the food is disgusting and the boss always over charge . Nasty food boss you need to sort out your restaurant you can't sell food pre cooked. Tast your own food before giving it to your customers..God dam nasty.

Food is always better when you dine in. Buffet nights are normally packed so staff seem a bit rushed to take your order but it’s still our favourite restaurant.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this is an excellent restaurant, food and service superb plus good value for money.

Hi if you like bland food at a premium price this is the place for you. I was looking forward to trying Alishan food as everyone raves about it. Been there dun it & never again. Any suggestions for a Indian meal in the Wisbech area. Thanks Will.

First time ordering from here.Had takeaway tonight, food was nice but needed more spice to certain dishes. Also when we got home we found two side dishes missing. Not very happy and we don't live close by. Was unable to go back, spent quite alot of money so turned out not good value for money. May try again but hope next time order is complete and more spice.

Surprisingly decent! Don't be fooled by the building exterior, police cars and "office" feel. You will have a good meal.

Just popped in for a takeaway, but although the onion bahji's were excellent the curry wasn't quite as good as normal.

Lovely surroundings and extremely tasty food. Four of us went for an impromptu meal and Alishan did not disappoint. Would definitely eat out at Alishan again they have a good range of dishes to choose from at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and approachable.

We had a very pleasant meal. It's very clean and beautifully furnished and the owner showed us great kindness when, as visitors to the area, we found ourselves in difficulty. Very grateful.

Ordered garlic naan no taste of garlic, one meal was tikka masala, bland poor taste, the other meal was chick pea masala that did not have masala sauce and also no taste, the mushroom rices was hunt the mushroom, desert made up for it, but you can’t mess up frozen desserts. The service was poor, he kept lifting one piece of China away at a time leaning over us as we we’re having our coffee, we were one of two tables there so no rush for our table we drank up and left feeling in the way, this was a birthday dinner spoilt, and stupid me left a tip

First time there, the meal was very good friendly staff. The owner came over and spoke to me asking if the food was okay and saying next time if I wanted it cooked in a different way they would do jt. Plus very good prices. Can't wait to go back December update food was good but the staff and service was terrible staff and owner very rude. So will not be going again

Good food, bit over priced, allow a 10% chance that they mess a take away order up so be sure to check it before you take it home :)

We booked here for a family meal for 4 the portion sizes were just right we had plenty of everything and it was all very hot and delicious, the lime pickle was especially tasty, we had chicken and lamb dishes and the meat was very tender, not chewy or fatty, the whole family would come again. They also advertise a buffet meal on Wednesday and Thursday nights which looks like a great value meal. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Just ordered from alishan it was shocking to say the least freezing cold chips microwaved didn't taste like masala and the naan bread was tiny what a waste of money

normally excellent food and and nearly always ready at stated time: However 2/05/2020 order veg biryani and chicken biryani which was woefully the food was cold when collected the veg curry was container was only half full in each meal and was so thick that it failed to pour ! , the chicken contents was three nugget size portions my humble view was that it was probably cooked at some point on friday and reheated prior to collection on sat night especially as the normal sounds of a kitchen working was not in evidence . i appreciate these are extremely challenging times for business but my advice for people is to avoid until lockdown is over a shame for a business with normally excellent standards

The food is great. The service is not so good. The staff were a bit grumpy, indifferent and not very welcoming. We had starters, mains and sides with rice. The food was superb and not over priced either.

We've lived locally to this restaurant for a couple of years but never tried it until a few weeks ago with some friends. I informed the waiter I'm vegetarian and asked him to recommend a dish for me. When we received the food, I discovered pieces of chicken in my dish that was clearly cooked with my partner's food, he had ordered chicken tandoori. Other members in our party complained that their food was bland and dry, I couldn't eat my meal as it was so bland. We will never return to this restaurant, a big disappointed and waste of money.

takeaway- was told 25mins but was 45mins.. man pushed in front of me in queue and they served him... got food home and it was barely warm and hardly had any flavour?.. husband had a bone in his to top it off... my chicken tasted fatty didnt eat it so dissapointed was ment to be a treat!

This is THE best Indian restuarant in the county - as someone who has worked all over the UK I would even go as far as saying it's one of the best in the entire country. All food has lots of flavour, never so hot it blows you head off. Naans are soft and fresh, Onion Bahjis cooked to perfection. The service is great too, food usually comes very quickly. You can also get great takeaway here, if you do not fancy dining in the restaurant. This is a hidden gem in little old Wisbech.

Food was good but it was quiet as it was a Tuesday. Beer was a little pricey.
