Alibaba- Coaches And Horses Pub in Cotswold

This quiet country Cotswolds pub is a beautiful setting for what was simply some of the best food I've ever tasted. As I live fairly locally I've been here a few times and the depth of flavour in each of the dishes I've had is simply amazing. The presentation on modern designer plates is the icing on the cake. I've been to many Indian restaurants all over the UK but this is the best. Sadly, it's now closed. I would love to find out where the chefs are now working, as I would travel some distance to enjoy their wonderful food again.

Staying at a local campsite & we were told that this place delivers to your pitch onsite. We had already looked into having food at the restaurant as it was a pub and you can take your dog, but decided to try the delivery option as it was free delivery. The app / website was a bit clunky to use and didn’t correspond to the paper menu on-site and some dishes didn’t have a description of what they were. Also the app asked for a road name despite it finding the campsite. After negotiating a frustrating ordering process we opted to share a meal deal for 1 as portions are usually generous. We were very happy with the food that arrived before the time estimate too directly to our pitch. The quality was excellent and the flavours were delicious. We had lots of dips with the popadoms , the mixed meal starter was tasty and we were impressed with the quality & taste of the lamb. Our main meal was lovely as was the aloo gobi & naam bread. Definitely recommend this place, but please improve your app.

Stayed here in our camper van whilst visiting Bourton on water. Had read the reviews so had high expectations and was not disappointed the food was to die for so full of flavour we had chicken dansak and the Indian lamb shank both were perfect

As locals we eat here when we are able and have never been disappointed. Always great service for all the staff and really tasty meals. Came this evening with some friends from Essex for a birthday meal and everyone went home really happy! This place deserves to be much busier - thank you all!

Went to this restaurant based on reviews, a little walk out of Brouton and you have a wonderful little cosy setting. Food was lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and service quick. Would definitely recommend to others visiting the area.

We ordered take aways from this establishment and were not disappointed. Delivered well within time, piping hot and well presented. Excellent and varied choice of dishes - perhaps hard to choose. Each meal was as it should be and the Menu is well presented so you know what the ingredients are. Both chicken and lamb dishes use excellent quality meats and great spicing. We will return in the summer!

This is the 2nd takeaway in a week, great food delivered on time, piping hot and great value for money. The best I have ever tasted.

One of the best Indian meal I've ever had. Lovely restaurant with simple and very clean decor and table linens. Menu has some dishes on that are different to the standard Indian restaurant offer which is great. We had a mixed kebab and green chicken thigh tikka both of which were melt in the mouth delicious. Pickle tray with poppadoms had unusual and very tasty options. Mains for js were lamb shank and lamb roshuni which were top quality. Very good service and a complementary drink at the end of the meal. We stayed in our motorhome in the car park overnight. Excellent place, we will be back.

It made instant impression on entry. Spotlessly clean and bright. Good atmosphere and decor. White linen tablecloths. Tables well spaced out. Prompt service. Really good menu. The poppadoms came with the best aray of spices I have ever encountered . The main courses were so good that we sent our cmpliments to the chef. Service fast and attentive without being intrusive. We had real ale with our meal.It was evidently well looked after. We were happy to tell the manager we think is the best Indian restaurant in Bourton on the water.

Whilst staying in Bourton on the water we decided to try a takeaway, we ordered online which was one of the easiest systems I have ever used. The food arrived in well under the hour and was piping hot, all nicely stored in foil containers. We went for Lamb Roshuni which was well spiced, but not hot and the lamb just melted in your mouth. Chicken Shashlik, the chicken was tender and the peppers, onions and tomatoes all cooked perfectly. To go with the two mains we had Aloo Channa which was really good, nice soft potatoes and chick peas all in a lightly spiced sauce. A nice and garlicky Nan bread, Poppadoms and Pilau rice. Delicious food, great delivery. First class customer service.

We came across this curry house which is a converted old pub. I wouldn’t come here just for a standard English with drinks. All our food was really fresh, tasty and the service was great. We’ve parked a motorhome overnight for free in the car park and thoroughly enjoyed our food and drink particularly the complimentary drink at the end of the meal! We had so much food we took some with us.

I cannot comment on the food as we went in lunchtime and they do not serve any food. Expected more of a pub instead of walking in to a big perspex screen covering the bar and drinks and staff hidden behind it…ok they sold Cobra on draft which is good but the place has no ambiance at all as character non existent. Watching one of the waiters strimming the outside with his trousers, white shirt and covid mask was interesting…hope he washed and changed before serving food..yeh! So, not even an average pub in my eyes and wouldn’t eat there.

We really enjoyed the two person set menu that we had here tonight. There was so much food we didn’t even go close to finishing it! Absolutely loved the appetiser - pappadums with an amazing tasty, colourful array of sauces and an onion salad. Delicious! The next course was more dipping sauces but this time with three grilled meats. The beef was a little over cooked but was tasty while the other two meats were great. Main course = perfect rice, tasty lamb balti, overly sweet chicken tikka masala, perfect naan, nice Bombay aloo and Goni sag. While the meal fell short of perfect it was very enjoyable and good value for money. Service was professional and the restaurant is a nice space to spend time in. Recommended.
