We have mixed thoughts about this cafe. The food was really, really tasty, well presented, well cooked and very good value. The cafe was clean and had a good menu choice.  However, we have never visited this cafe before and we were confused by the behaviour of a man in outdoor clothing approaching each table with a dog on a lead, talking to everyone. This may have been the owner?  We felt this gentleman could have dressed more appropriately if he was working there, so that customers could identify that he was supposed to be working there?  We have no problems with dogs at all, but he could at least have washed his hands, before bringing our food to the table, to follow H&S practices...

This is a lovely little friendly cafe. Dog friendly too. Good food and chatty friendly staff. Food our family enjoyed included, toasted sandwiches, breakfast baguette, veggie breakfast and childrens sandwich meal. Lovely pots of tea. Grandaughter was given colouring to do and a chocolate treat. Dog was given a treat too. 🙂

We visited twice during our holiday once for breakfast and once for lunch and the food and service was excellent both times. They could not have been more welcoming and patient even though we had one dog and 4 kids so came along with some noise! All food was delicious and everyone that worked there was lovely. Thank you.

We visited in late August this year. Initially we went to Dolly’s and they were so unfriendly we walked out - night and day compared to this little gem! The queue was out the door and seating is limited as it’s quite small but still the lovely owners managed to squeeze us in! They were very welcoming and had no problem with supporting one of my daughters with her dietary needs (gluten free). Breakfast was fantastic for all of us and we were able to make a few swaps to individual items on the plates without being made to feel a nuisance (and they were very busy!) My children were made to feel important and the owner brought them colouring paper and crayons to add artwork to their gallery on the wall. No problem ordering a sausage for the dog too 😂 Hats off to this hardworking couple and their team.

Amazing Staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had a good experience and also amazing food. I stopped by when I was walking the SWCP so I needed a good breakfast to fuel me for the day. The cafe did not disappoint. The food was incredible and I even took a BLT Baguette for my lunch which I enjoyed overlooking Woolacombe. I will definitely be returning when I do my road trip of Devon and Cornwall

Grazie mille a tutte quante .

Adeles is a lovely oasis by the harbour in Ilfracombe. Perfect for breakfast inside on a rainy morning - equally delicious take outs when you want to eat al fresco in the sunshine. Dog friendly too. Highly recommend!

Visited for the first time on Friday 09/12/22 but had a few more visits during the period we lived in Ilfracombe over the winter. We ended up trying to visit all 11 cafes in town and this was a definite favorite of those. The owner is Ali who took over from the previous owner Adele and now runs the cafe with the help of some of her ex-students from the local school. Located next to the harbour, the cafe is light and airy with a double aspect. It's quite small inside but very cosy as a consequence. The owner and staff are very friendly and the other patrons seem to reflect that as everyone ends up chatting. They sell local crafts of different kinds as well as seasonal special foods. The menu enables you to mix and match and I cant recommend this cafe highly enough.

Love this cafe we visited a few weeks ago. The menu is reasonably priced given the focus on quality, making it a perfect spot for breakfast, coffee and cake—or even something more substantial. When we visited, I went straight for The Big One. They serve breakfast until 2pm which is great news if you’re a late riser or if you’ve been out the night before! The Big One is for those with an immense appetite (£14.95) but there are smaller options available. T went for the Ultimate BLT Handcrafted Sandwich (£11.95), swapping crisps for fries for an extra £2.25 from their lunch menu which also includes paninis, toasties and jacket potatoes to mention a few things. I can safely say that the cooked breakfast was an immensely satisfying plate of food. The meat is sourced from a nearby butcher and you could taste the quality; the bacon was thick and flavourful, and the sausages were meaty and dense. It came together like every big breakfast should—with lots of toast and a good cuppa on the side. The Ultimate BLT was an absolute behemoth—packed full of thick cut bacon and served with fries (a new option on the menu, swapped for crisps). The soft fresh bread kept packed sandwich together in a chunky bacon filled parcel – you need a big mouth to chomp it in one! Along with breakfasts and lunches, there are fresh cakes and their legendary waffles, for those with a sweet tooth you have plenty of choice. They're very dog friendly and willing to go that extra mile for customers 😍
