Alexandra Arms in Kettering

Enjoyed the ambiance in this pub on a flying visit to Kettering. I used to do this beermat thing in my schooldays before I was supposed to be drinking what sat on top of them so it took me back to see a similar effect. Very well kept beer and some interesting new ones to me as well as one of my favourites, Jaipur, tho I didn't have that this time out. I left with the distinct impression you aren't going to get a bad pint in here.

A hidden gem been to Kettering so many times and never found this place before. Friendly bar staff good selection of cask ale and for a Saturday late afternoon seemed very busy.

Outstanding choice of real ales and cider. All well kept and reasonably priced. Northants skittles alley. Friendly staff with a sense of humour. Dog friendly - dog treats kept on the bar. Only food is a selection of rolls - but this is a pub for beer.

Wonderful old style pub, proper Beer and atmosphere.

Seems like a locals pub with lots of visitors which come for the wide selection of beers. Independent so don't expect Spoons prices. Good place for a few beers.

Love this pub Proper battle cruiser and only serves quality beers! The Captain wears the funniest shirts and the selection of beer and cider is unrivalled for many many miles! Always end up having a chat with the locals. An Oasis in a very dry desert.

Went in for the first time this week, we were made to feel really welcome by Ian the landlord, this is a proper old school pub with a fantastic selection of real ale, and proper cider. I'll definitely be returning

A hidden treasure - fantastic selection of beer - at least a dozen ales on - very friendly and funny landlord (a little bonkers). Definately a must visit for real ale fans.

Great little pub with excellent beer and cider selection. Enjoy playing skittles here and relaxing on a Saturday night or a Sunday afternoon. Great place for a few drinks or just a quick one. A nice local that is welcoming and easily best pub in the area.

This is a proper, unpretentious, beer and cider drinking pub. Do not come here if you want lager, gastro or anything like that.

The Alexander Arms is a really nice and friendly bar not far from the main road through the town. A great place for a quick drink or a bite to eat. It has outdoor seating to the front and rear.

Good beer, well kept, very reasonable prices

Always a fantastic selection of beers available. Loads of pumps and a beer drinkers dream, at least if you like light beers. Usually there is a small selection of dark beers available also. Friendly staff, very interesting interior and plenty to keep the real ale drinker fascinated. Been coming here many years and intend to keep visiting. Almost a hidden gem!

Really humble and personable place! You are looking for the entrance the Diagon Alley when ur in there and expecting hagrid will be somewhere about.. Love it

An absolute banger for beer fanciers. Ery friendly, lots of beer chat with the locals. 15 handpumps and the quality of the ale I had was also 5 star. What a corker!

Proper pub,good atmosphere, great real ales

Would give this place a zero just to keep others away 😉😁. This pub has bypassed the gastro gimmickry and just sells a variety of great beers. It is a neighbourhood pub as well as an ale drinkers dream so be prepared the meet some real characters!

This is a beer drinkers pub...no frills, cosy, friendly, clean and welcoming. No food just fresh rolls and pork pies on the bar. One of the survivors!

An original old pub that has a huge selection of real ales and ciders, serves a good pint, bar games, very friendly landlord and staff, dogs are allowed, worth a visit.
