So, so nice to have a REAL bakery - witness the baking happening on the premises. A quality addition to the locale.

I love this bakery. I was so excited to find a traditional Cypriot bakery making all my favourites. The Pitta bread is enormous and thick and fluffy with a great flavour. Everything is huge with olive rolls, spinach pastries, koulouri bread and even fresh croissants in the morning. The best kept secret is their homemade honey flatbread which I urge everyone to try which goes great with their decent coffee. The seasonal kourabiades (greek shortbread) and melomakarouna (honey biscuits) are as good as my grannys! The staff are friendly and cheerful and it is always a pleasure to drop in.

I was before in this awful bakery...I ask the guy for a coffee and a pastry...he was so rude and his coffee for the rubbish. I can't believe that in the middle of Southgate you can find the most dirty bakery that I ever visit...

Alevri opened at the start (or shortly before) the pandemic started, so they had a very challenging start. Despite that they have done an amazing job of providing their customers with an amazing range of fresh and authentic products. I don’t even live in London and I try and visit Alevri whenever I can. Do give it a visit, and I can guarantee you that you will leave the bakery with much more than you originally intended to purchase.

Working locally for the day and found this traditional Cypriot bakery. So much to choose from and with a Kafe Eliniko, one can’t go wrong !

Well when you want to a new artisan bakery serving the needs of your north London clientele, you may what to decide how long they need to wait to get served and that you have all the products available. As it's Orthodox Easter, the demand for traditional foods are high, and not to have them available when a customer comes in is not right. Having one person serving is also not good, there was a queue whilst each customer was getting served slowly, making tea and coffee etc. It's competitive out there, don't let the others close you before you start.

Absolutely atrocious service. Staff are riddled with attitude. Don’t even have ice ! When asked when the next time they’d have ice they told us to wait 20 mins so we came back in twenty mins and they still exclaimed they have no ice. Absolute BS don’t come here !

Quite possibly the rudest staff i have ever met, they just argue with you when THEY get the order wrong. Its a shame because its quite a nice airy shop; the staff just need to stop being so rude to customers!!!

If I could add 0 reviews I would. We ordered a tuna sandwich and a ham and cheese sandwich with two teas and paid £25.60. This place is an insult to it's customers who are mostly pensioners. Even at the airport they don't charge so much. Sandwiches were small and not even toasted. Cups and teapots have seen better days. Service was well below average. Twice bitten once shy. Never going there again.
