ALDO'S KITCHEN AND BAR in Mole Valley

Been here several times and both the food and service are always spot on. Arrived today with a breakfast booking for 10 people. The waiting and kitchen staff went above and beyond to provide a great experience. Would highly recommend.

I had a really disappointing experience at this café. I waited for over 30 minutes for my order, only to find out that they had completely forgotten about it. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, completely oblivious to the fact only one of a table of two had their food. No compensation or effort to make things right, just a half-hearted "we'll get it started." The food, when it finally arrived, wasn’t worth the wait. Definitely not coming back.

Such a wonderful find in the heart of Ashtead, Surrey. Such fresh exquisite food, today I had the causa limina and the Peruvian grilled chicken with homemade sweet potato fries. Have eaten a lot of chicken in my 50 years and I can honestly say this was the tastiest chicken dish I have had. A relaxed atmosphere with a very warm welcome, I can't wait to go back. Thank you. Xx

4 of us went for breakfast at Aldi’s a couple of weeks ago. The service was extremely slow with no updates/or feedback. This resulted in us being half an hour late for an appointment. Even the coffees took 20 minutes to arrive. When the food arrived 2 were inedible. Mine was a shockingly horrible avocado on soggy bread. The crushed avocado tasted like something out of a jar with the most overpowering taste of lime. My daughter tasted it too and said it was horrendous. I just had to order a slice of toast instead. None of the food was hot and other people were complaining about the same thing. Not sure I would ever risk a dinner there based on the breakfast experience which is a shame as it’s so local

Met a friend for brunch. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere with efficient service. The food was delicious and the coffee is great. Highly recommended!

Love this place! It’s a regular for us. Delicious breakfast and excellent service. So lucky to have this in our village. We don’t venture far for breakfast any more.

Went for dinner and honestly had the best meal we’ve had in a LONG time. Great service, love that there isn’t too much choice on the menu, food was delicious and meal was reasonably priced. First time visiting but we will definitely be back!

An original, unusual menu and delicious, freshly cooked food. Had a superb meal which included tuna carpaccio and a "surf and turf" dish with the most tender squid I have ever eaten! Also recommend the home-made salted caramel ice cream! Fabulous! And the chef took the time to discuss how he cooked the purple potatoes 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Surrey needs more restaurants like Aldo’s. The food is incredible and unlike anything in the area - a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. The wine and atmosphere are great too.

We often pop in for breakfast and it is exemplary every single time. Beautifully cooked and fresh. Great coffee. Lovely staff.

A group of sixteen of us fitted in cosily, split between two tables, into what is quite a small space. The menu was varied, with Peruvian and Japanese dishes, and one of our number even had a full English breakfast! The staff were lovely, and the three chefs did a fantastic job in their little kitchen. We will certainly return.

Delightful blend of different flavours. Not your usual euromed fare that is typical of most places. Peruvian Japanese fusion.. lovely!

The food is very tasty and all prepared on the premises. The menu is very different to what you find st most eateries. All I can say is give it a go and I promise you it will be a memorable experience.

Fantastic food and drink. The ceviche was some of the best I have ever had. Lovely ambience and friendly staff too. I didn't know they did breakfast and takeaway coffee too so I will definitely be back. A local gem!

What an amazing Kitchen/Bar/ Restaurant - just what Ashtead needs! So friendly and welcoming with a wonderful, quite unusual menu. As an (almost 100%) Vegan, the Vegan breakfast is out- standing and excellent value - Thank you - I and my friends will be returning often!

Second visit to Aldo’s with my family inc. our English Sheepdog (Teddy). Great food, great service, great selection of wine and a sausage for Teddy. Please give these guys a try, they are brilliant!

Usually really love this place but got totally disappointed today. Waited for almost 1h for some pancakes for my two Toddlers. After waiting for one hour I asked how much longer it will take as my kids were getting really restless. I was then told they didn’t take my order properly. No apology or anything from the waitress that didn’t take my order properly. Won’t be coming back

Highly recommended. Delicious, unique dishes with real care and attention. Aldo's a great host and had just been to billinghurst fish market! They often do special menus as well.

Either the other reviews are deluded or maybe it was an absolute shocker of a morning. I went in when it was quiet. My order was taken of a coffee and a full English breakfast. A short while later a coffee and a pot of tea arrived. After I explained I had requested a cooked breakfast, it was re ordered. 40 minutes later a plate of food arrived. The toast wasn't toasted, the bacon looked very under done. And the eggs I requested scrambled turned up fried and swimming in olive oil and smothered with coriander. Whilst I was waiting the table next to me had a long wait for their food and the bigger table had finished theirs, however there was a mess up with their order aswell. Might be a bad one off but I won't be rushing back.

Happened to stumble across this place and very pleased that I did! Just had a breakfast and decaf latte and both were amazing. 10/10! This will be my go to cafe from now on. Staff were so lovely

Popped in, and it was a lovely relaxed place for a catch up and a bite to eat. Crepes, all day breakfast/brunch items, great coffee - a real find.

A lovely little restaurant in the middle of Ashtead Main Street. Very friendly staff. Food was above average with a good selection, and the wine was reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

A really nice relaxing atmosphere; also tasty and interesting menu. Presentation was excellent and staff friendly and attentive.

The ceviche stater was fabulous and is one of those dishes that I would happily go back to try again. The main courses were also very good, with great depths of flavour. Topped off with good service this was an enjoyable dining experience. We will return again soon!

Had a lovely evening out here. The food is delicious with some interesting and varied choices on the menu. The wines were excellent and the service was friendly and prompt. We really loved the cerviche and tuna tartare to start and the saltado and surf & turf for mains. The desserts were also excellent with some great flavour combinations like the chocolate quenelle and the strawberries with caramelised milk (topped with chocolate mint from the chef's garden). Highly recommended for a dinner out.

Chefs are Brill they know their business and craft food to die for if you like steaks this is the place to land -I am a fish lover but bit into the steaks canapes like no other -Florence the new waitress is so attentive and will be an assist to this lovely interesting and mos unusual restaurant in Ashtead -Will be back soon !Thankyou

Great little restaurant, food has a homemade flavour about it. Staff are friendly and up for a chat about food and culture. Menu is not big, just a few great choices.

Great food, but sitting was only 1.5 hours. It felt a bit rushed. Great sound track!

We went in last week as a group of 5 and had an early evening meal and then stayed a long time over drinks. We had great food and a warm, friendly welcome from all the staff. We are booking our return visit.

Coffee is good. Bit cramped though and staff are pushy with their food menus. Not much atmosphere tbh.

Haven't eaten there yet (planning to soon) but did go in for a drink - good selection of excellent wines and stock English IPA and lager on tap. Christina and staff were very friendly and welcoming - I can see myself becoming a regular here!

Great food and a lively atmosphere with a chef and staff that are really passionate. Good to have something a bit different on the menu in Ashtead with Aldo’s Peruvian fusion food.

Great staff, food and fun. The prawns with mango were a standout. Good luck to Aldo and his team - from our experience they deserve to be a real success.

Visited Aldo's Kitchen and Bar yesterday for their opening and I have to say the food and drinks were outstanding! All the staff there were so friendly. Would like to wish all of the staff there good luck with your new business venture and well done!
