Aldiss in Norwich

Rock hard bacon, sausage tasted sour like it was on the turn, raw fried eggs, and the mushrooms I don’t even think had been cooked!! Thank goodness for toast and beans on the plate as that is all I ate. Such a waste of food, cooked so terribly

Since when has a ploughman’s served with just “grated cheese”. Should not be grated and there should be some sort of meat. A full baguette is really toooo much. Half is adequate . Toasted ham sandwich should be thick bread they were as flat as a pancake! Coffees were cold after waiting 25min for our meals.

Nice scones but awful coffee. They call it 'speciality coffee' but it comes out of a machine and tastes a bit like chicory coffee. What on earth do they use? Their cheaper filter coffee is far better, and instant coffee would even have been better.

The food is actually pretty good and the prices are fair BUT someone please do a deep clean of the teaspoons..every time we go there the teaspons are gross !

Awful! Eggs were cold and hard, toast stone cold , sausages mushy inside and fried bread was inedible…. Will not be returning . Staff all miserable too.

I haven’t eaten in this cafe but can’t believe they are still serving decaffeinated latte that tastes very sweet - it is horrible. A year or so ago I complained.

I bought a table and dining chairs and said that we will collect it when ready. Nobody told us that the collection times were 10-4pm because if they told us that I would have said I cannot collect at those times. I don't understand how they can think people who work a full time job can collect between those times? I paid a decent amount for my table and dining chairs for my first home to be told I can't collect it when I am able/want too? I rang the shop and managed to get a time arranged when I had finished work, the lady on the phone who I spoke to was rude and said this depends if a salesperson can help you at that time because our priority are the people that are in the store. Excuse me I just spent a lot of money buying from your store? I think I might be a priority too! Poor customer service from her.

As a single male I went to buy some curtains; they couldn't have been more helpful if they tried, wonderful service and easy parking too!!

Stopped here on way to Norwich and had delicious scones and coffee ( with free refill!). Staff very efficient and friendly. And tables are quickly cleared and cleaned.

OMG What a wait! 20 minutes in the queue before placing order then told it was a 20-25 minute wait for food. I told the member of staff we wished we had been told that at the start of the queue. She said there is a notice ….. but the notice is just below the food counter and I had already queued for 20 minutes. It actually says that as food is made to order it may take a little longer than expected. The lady in front of me wanted a scone but they all looked badly burnt on top. She pointed out the least burnt one and asked if she could have that and I saw her later and she said it just crumbled to bits as she ate it. The food came and we just laughed at the amount of side salad on the plate next to the hot baguettes. It honestly would not have filled a tablespoon. The cafe was clean and the prices were reasonable though but I don’t think we will visit again.

Stopped at the cafe for lunch a few weeks ago, not a great experience. The food was cold when it arrived and when I returned it and asked if it could be re-heated I was given a look that could have killed. When the food was delivered again it was warm, left at the table.no hint of an apology and certainly no smile. Perhaps I should have accepted it cold and kept my mouth shut. A regular visit has now turned into a never again situation along with quite a few other ex customers by the look of the reviews. What on earth has happened to this once great eating establishment.

Been buying serval items from here recently, today was disappointing and always the same department! Don't bother buying paintings gave to go round the store to pay and face rode staff!

Wow. A small selection selection of cafe staples, but superb quality and very reasonable prices. It was full of local pensioners, which is always a reliable 8nficator of good, cheap food!

Really nice place to have lunch,very reasonable prices,the bacon and cheese melt baguette 🥖 was lovely also my wife’s jacket potato looked good would definitely eat here again.

I notice some posts make comments on the long queue at busy times - I agree this is frustrating. HOWEVER, the rewards are WELL WORTH the wait. We are quite a boring couple as we always go for the scones which in our opinion are the BEST in Norfolk, crispy on the outside and moist in the middle. Unlike many other restaurants where they could be possibly bought in. As I said we are boring but whilst consuming our delicious scones we play the game of watching what everyone else is eating, always saying “that looks lovely” we must try that next time – We can HIGHLY recommend this place.

We tend to visit for coffee and a fruit scones, the best scones we have found apart from Aldiss in Fakenham :-)) Food looks good too.

Terrible service, was told we couldn’t have a kids box because the child was “too old”. Staff were grumpy and unprofessional

Went along for a quick bite....yum! Had a lovely cheese scone which was massive! Nice coffee.....really really impressed. I can recommend the food and drink here 100%..... Scones are the best in town

If your shopping in this furniture store then try this restaurant. My wife and I went to this furniture store and found the restaurant upstairs the food was very nice and plentiful we had cottage pie with vegetables and we both couldn’t finish it as there was so much on the plate. And it’s good value as well. Well worth a visit just for the food.

He sido un cliente habitual aquí porque la comida siempre está recién hecha, los bollos y los bollos siempre son buenos, pero el servicio al cliente es muy escaso, en particular hay 2 que toman su pedido. Nunca lo recibes. Este es un restaurante muy tradicional con un ambiente agradable. Principalmente vamos por los bollos aunque hemos tenido almuerzos ligeros aquí en el pasado y hemos estado muy satisfechos con la relación calidad-precio. Las comidas también son tradicionales, lo que significa que obtienes una comida, no una imagen.El personal es muy agradable y siempre servicial. Sin embargo, puede haber una larga cola en las horas punta, pero aparentemente esto no parece alejar a la gente ya que vemos muchas caras iguales cada vez que lo visitamos.

Visité esta cafetería mientras buscaba muebles en Aldiss y me pareció muy agradable. Hay una gran selección de aperitivos, bebidas y comidas ligeras. La mayoría de los clientes parecían tener años maduros y eran clientes recurrentes. El personal era amable y servicial, y estaré encantado de volver por un bollo de café y queso.

Han pasado un par de años desde que llegué aquí y será MUCHO más tiempo antes de regresar. La variedad de comida caliente era extrema: un rollo de salchicha seco y totalmente poco atractivo. En cuanto a los pasteles, si te gustan las capas GRUESAS de crema artificial en tu esponja 'victoria', entonces este es el lugar donde debes estar: los pasteles se compran claramente envueltos en film transparente y se conservan, sospecho que la comida aquí formará una nueva exhibición en el castillo muy pronto TERRIBLE.

He venido aquí por mucho tiempo y nunca cambia. El personal es encantador y la comida. Buen lugar de encuentro para relajarse y reunirse con amigos. Altamente recomendado. Un montón de aparcamiento, pero ten cuidado ya que hay un límite de tiempo en el aparcamiento ahora.

While we were viewing over some furniture, we were offered a free coffee from the restaurant,don't know why we bothered,the cappuccino was terrible, no froth and very hot.

Don't touch the milkshakes. The banana one was lurid yellow and sickly, then out of two chocolate ones, one was okay-ish and the other was utterly foul. The glass of tap water I had from them tasted lovely... Should have gone to McD or Asda.

Nos fuimos para el almuerzo y un vistazo a la tienda. Restaurante muy popular, que era una buena señal.

Mi pareja y me encanta tener un snack por la mañana y hacerlo a menudo. Ella es el crítico con respecto al chocolate caliente y muy descontenta con el chocolate caliente se sirve aquí. Normalmente me dio un café con leche, pero he cambiado recientemente para tener café capuchino. Tampoco eran muy buenas y por desgracia tanto de su piedra de queso y frutas mi bollo eran muy pastoso. Hemos comido aquí antes, pero no por un tiempo, y siempre encontramos todo bien, pero no hoy. El resto de las comidas que se distribuyen en las otras mesas se veía bien, así que no necesariamente se desanime por nuestra experiencia.

I am a regular visitor to Shapes cafe.They have a good selection of light snacks, cakes & scones.The staff are so helpful & friendly & make it the best place to meet up with friends.

Yo voy aquí en forma regular con mi familia, he estado haciendo durante al menos 4 años.I don,t realmente como filtro café prefiero confirmación! Pero aquí, hacer una excepción.es sencillamente el mejor café de filtro que he bebido.Los bollos son excelentes y la comida es tan buena calidad a precios asequibles.El personal es encantador, excelente servicio de atención al cliente.

limpia y hermosa cafetería con un gran menú durante todo el día y una tranquila zona de juego agradable en la cafetería ideal para niños de 1-5 años. Situado en un gran outlet de muebles el café está en la primera planta, pero es la discapacidad amable con un ascensor y tiene un práctico baño para niños y zona de cambio en las proximidades
