Day staff member was lovely, and we were left to enjoy our drinks, I'm not sure the lines have been cleaned for a while as my Moreti had yeast floating in it- which should not be happening. My partner used the men's toilets and has no idea how you are open as they are appalling. Wouldn't even let our dog in them! Went back in the evening, and a random customer was behind the bar washing his fist, which was scratched up (after a fight or hitting a mirror/window and he was so rude and looked quite intoxicated. The bar maid did not look comfortable or able to deal with this. I don't believe anyone has control of this pub, I'm afraid.

Absolutely yuck food. Freezing cold chips that were obviously cooked the day before if not longer ago. Grey mushy peas and the sausage tasted very odd and the batter was chewy. Will never come back here. In a word: VILE!

Had one of the so called value deals. Chips no real taste, same with fish, mishy peas dried up in minutes to a stodge. Jolly Frier or George's much better but I was there and only wanted a bite. Good job it wasn't exactly a meal. Not again for me.

Like the Albion pub, friendly landlady, really can't complain about the cask prices even if the choice is limited. Bit of work needed in the gents toilets so loses a star.

This review wouldn’t let me do 0 stars so I had to select 1. Worst chips I’ve ever had the misfortune to purchase, 90% of them were dark brown. I took a photo of them but can’t upload it. Simply put, a joke, you have one job!

Food is always lovely and perfectly cooked with good portion sizes for a good price. The staff are friendly and there is plenty of parking near by unlike horsefair.

Great chips just done how I like them. Good sized portion as well. I ordered a kebab as well it was ok, that's why no five stars. Chilli sauce had a good kick to it. Staff were polite and apologised for the wait and thanked me for my custom. I would definitely use them again

first time trying this place was passing through I had kebab and chips wife pie and chips son fish cake chips curry sauce all polished off proper chips nice kebab lovely curry sauce will be back again

It was a long time since we had wanted a fish and chip supper, we chose Albion Chippy, as we could park outside. We chose a mini and middle size fish, and were advised that a middle sized portion of chips should be sufficient for us. The lady was right, we got them home, put our own pickled vinegar on them and enjoyed our purchase. The only problem with any takeaway is they weren’t very warm. Next time we will take the option of eating in the small dining area.

Takeaway and small eat in area too. I do love my chip shop chips, but I don't have them very often. The food from here is of a very high standard and the owners brilliant.

Good atomasphere with loyal locals. Great amenities in WiFi, pool table and an extensive juke box as well as a sweet little beer garden especially for a location that backs onto a car park. Friendly and welcoming staff also add to a great experience.

Sometimes when I'm down town, I like a fish and chip lunch. There's a budget option with mini-fish. Everything is really fresh and you can't beat it. Bit naughty as I'm eternally on a diet, but delicious and always great for an occasional treat. Staff are good, place is spotless and quality of food is always consistent.

Wow. Thought I'd have a quick lit bite lunch. They have a lunchtime deal. Sausage chips and gravy for £1.60 also includes a for that some charge 10p for. Lady said it was a large sausage she's be cutting in half. I took that to mean it was half a sausage I was getting. But no. It was a jumbo sausage. Nice chips. Nice gravy. Lovely sausage. Superb value. Well done.

This chippy has recently been re-acquired by the previous owners and have bought it back to it's former glory, no more £1 pizza's (3 inch). The food is absolutely beautiful and is run by a couple of truly friendly people who can't make you feel more welcome. A nice sit down or take away experience without costing the earth. A nice Saturday shopping dinner chippy.

Good little chippy with a couple of tables allowing you to sit inside - great for rainy days, nothing more to say except it suffers with the problem that seems to afflict the vast majority of chippies these days... They don't cook the chips long enough!!! Oh and why "Custers Last Stand"? I gave it that nickname because just like Custer this place is surrounded by Indians.......

I have had numerous pizzas from the Albion and i cant fault them,majority of food is freshly cooked.Cant fault the price,BOGOF on all pizza's,just under a tenner for two 12inch pizzas with 4 toppings,beat any Dominoes

Antigua "fish and chips" en inglés, lugar en excelentes patatas fritas de servicio. Buen menú, como se puede esperar, pequeño sentarse en la zona.

Great food and great pizzas, better than dominos. Even better at a £1. Be here a few times and certainly will be returning
