From start to finish simply brilliant, a perfect way to spend Sunday lunch. From the warm welcome from the host on the desk to everyone who served us at the table, all an asset to your business. All of us enjoyed the food, the roasts were excellent as were the starters, I’d recommend the sharing roast! The ambience perfect with the live vocalist. We will be back.

We had a large family get together last Saturday here. It was our first time and we loved it. The restaurant is large and airy and has a really nice atmosphere is spacious and light. The food was lovely. The staff are amazing. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

We didn't enjoy it here. Seemed like overpriced microwaved food with no service. I had to ask for basic things, like a knife and fork. Albert's seems to have this thing going on of young adults who come here to drink. It seems to be a social thing, about status. The girls wear nice albeit quite skimpy outfits, the guys look dapper but slightly chavvy. Dapper chavs? Not sure if I'm describing it well. Essexy vibe? It's definitely not our thing: we go to a restaurant to relax, eat food food, and enjoy the dining experience.

Cannot fault this place. We had the fixed price three course lunch and it was absolutely delicious. I had the fish (sea bass, I think) and it was done to perfection. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks arrived promptly, but at no point did we feel rushed. The restaurant is very well set out, so that you have privacy and space to talk and everything was spotless. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere nice to go in Didsbury.

Always great, lovely food and setting

Very good as usual. Excellent cheffing, deft service. ambinence improved (more material to soak upi noise). The only fly in the ointment was a "Card Only" notice spotted on entry and then, for apperatifs before other guests arrrived, they would NOT accept my [nor any colour] platinum American Express card! So they got legal tender and said "no change" - so nothing to tip with!

Very nice restaurant in Didsbury, menu was very varied and not too expensive. The food was very fresh and tasted great, I would highly recommend the sesame fried chicken. Just a shame they do not take Amex

I attended Albert’s Didsbury with some old work friends for a special occasion. The food was delightful as always and the staff were amazing. I was super impressed with the service provided, I’d like to thank Giuseppe for looking after us. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone out for a meal where the table host was well mannered, lovely to speak to and genuinely cared about providing a high level of service.

Food was lovely and the service was good although it took over 45mins for the food to arrive. We sat outside and enjoyed looking at the amazing hanging baskets and planted borders. It's a pity the fake greenery on the terrace was so tangled and naff!

Visited on Sunday for the roast…The young waiter serving outside was lovely/attentive. The rabbit gnocchi to start and sticky toffee pudding were great but the roast was disappointing, 2 tiny pieces of beef and roasties that were still hard in the middle. Wouldn’t recommend for a roast.

Came today with my friend and the waiter was really polite and friendly. Couldn’t do enough to keep us happy. Food was out of this world delicious. I really enjoyed it. Had a lovely afternoon. The lunch menu is absolutely amazing and great value for money

Food was actually ok BUT we came here for a birthday celebration. The restaurant said they would bring something after the meal and we confirmed this twice when there and they still didn’t do anything. Just a big let down for a special meal.

Six years ago my review read this "Beautiful good. Friendly service. Clean" Earlier this year it would have read similar. However today it's definitely not the same place, food quality and service. I brought my friends from Hong Kong to what I thought was my favourite restaurant. What an embarrassing mistake. The waiter that took the order presented as unhappy and quite frankly rude. We got over it. We ordered from the lunch menu. The goats cheese salad started arrive. Tasteless and we stuggled to find the mean sprinkle of goats cheese. My fish and chips was a bowl of grease and water. Couldn't eat it. The sea was an extremely mean portion served with two bits of potato. My poor guests left hungry and disappointed 😞. I was embarrassed. I won't be rushing back.

Lovely location, great outside space. Decor inside was modern and fresh. Food was really good, very tasty and service was quick and efficient. Staff pleasant and cheerful. Toilets were clean as was the rest of the venue. Busy for a Sunday lunch, appears to be a great place for a catch up with family or friends. There was some subtle live music playing which was nice too. It was a warm day and inside became exceptionally warm(not sure how the kitchen staff cope), the air con could do with being a little more efficient. There is a car park but it's not huge, there is also some on street parking. All in all, would recommend, great afternoon.

Ate here a couple of weekends ago, had the sea bass which incredible, great atmosphere and after chatting to the young chap Tom we felt right at home, lovely to meet a fellow Liverpudlian. 10/10 would recommend

Albert's has always been one of our favourite restaurants to dine at. The menu has depth and innovation. Our children enjoy the Make-Your-Own-Pizza as it encourages a sense of creativity and excitement. Naturally, this benefits us too as it allows us to indulge without being interrupted 😂. The service is rather slow and questionable, considering they are well established. It would be prudent to book in advance, but on occasion, I have rocked up and got a reasonable table. However, this was on a Tuesday, and it was quieter. Overall, great food and atmosphere, The only improvements, in my opinion, are more attentive staff with a desire to be available and visible. Excluding this, I would highly recommend a visit to Albert's

Love Alberts but weren't so keen on the new menu as not as much choice to choose from, especially if you want a change from a Roast dinner. The menus provided was a set menu without the option to select from the other menu. We understand this is probably led by cost savings and what may be most popular dishes, but we will be going elsewhere for the foreseeable. Hopefully when the season changes the usual menu creativity and choices will be available again. When we visit Alberts, we want to "enjoy" the 3-courses instead of settling for dishes that are just ok. I had booked a birthday meal for next month but will definitely be cancelling that now and will book somewhere else that does provide a wider variety of choices.

A lovely lovely restaurant! Loved the cocktails, service from Zak was fab. We saw the table beside us making their own kids pizza which i thought was a great idea. Can't wait to return. We didn't take too many photos of inside as people were eating so didnt want to be rude but it was so lovely inside.

Ordered fish and chips was so disappointed the fish was really fishy and a strange grey colour the waitress told me it was fresh I really doubt that wouldn't bother going back.

Lovely food and staff very helpful

Alberts is a beautiful restaurant and the staff are amazing. The prices are really reasonable and affordable, and the food gorgeous. The only downside was that I and 9 friends went to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. The birthday girl received a lovely complimentary birthday brownie and as we proceeded to sing "Happy Birthday" to her. We were promptly asked to be quiet by a member of staff as there was a Didsbury occasion (not sure of the actual name of the occasion) also being held in the restaurant who had complained about the singing and asked the staff member to ask us to stop singing as it was too loud. That totally shocked us all, as we were there to celebrate an occasion, we were not near the other occasion inside the restaurant. That incident ruined the rest of the evening, and has put us off returning. If it was a private function that was being held (there were people with quite large cameras, taking photographs which appeared to be the case), may we suggest that in - future celebrations are not recommended when Private functions are being held. This ruined our friend's birthday meal totally

No variety of food or starter,compare to other restaurants not worth it at all, very pricey

Had the Malaysian curry ..last time was amazing..this time hardly any sauce over the rice and a few slices of chicken ...very dry ..not impressed :(

Been to Alberts many times over the years for cocktails but this is the first time for evening meal. Grandparents, two adults and three kids all catered for last week and everything was lovely. Staff really efficient and helpful and we even managed to stay behind for a few cocktails child free. Thankyou

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch here the 21st April. Have not been here for ages and we were celebrating 2 Birthdays. So we decided to book here. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated at a great window location. All the staff were friendly and professional and seemed very happy in their roles. We all ordered the Sunday lunch with a generous order of sides options. I would like to say that the allergy protocols in place are spot and carried out very well. As an allergy sufferer I feel very confident in eating here and recommending to others. The food was fabulous and very tasty. Service very good. The dessert I had was a total dessertgasm for me. Lavender pancotta with rhubarb and shortbread biscuits with stem ginger. The flavour pairings were amazing. Two of ladies were celebrating their Birthdays and the lady waiting our table brought them a complimentary Birthday Brownie which just added even more to a wonderful Sunday afternoon dining experience. Thank you for making the experience a memorable one.

Foul customer service, average food. Bit of a shame as it’s a very nice setting. Let down specifically by a blond lady who rudely told us to move tables which remained empty the entire time we were there. Steer clear of the small plates, they are all cold and tasteless. For desserts, stay away from profiteroles that taste a week old. Do try the sticky toffee pudding!

Nice restaurant and good service had sea bass main which was very nice had profiteroles for dessert (bad decision as wasn't really hungry) and they badly let down the experience. I presume they were bought in and noone had bothered to taste them, they were rock hard stodgy and basically inedible. Would go again but not bother with dessert. Found prices to be very reasonable.

Diabolical. As we sat down, told there is no chicken at all in any variant, No fish and chips and various other bits. They should have phoned to warn before we arrived. Won't be coming back. Cant blame the waitress though.

Great lunchtime/early menu. Fantastic value! Steak fries, the steak melted like butter. Fab starters. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The only thing for me was... That the puddings were tiny... really tiny!!! Very limited car park spaces onsite for the size of the venue

Went here today for a family birthday staff where really helpful and pleasant but the food was so disappointing there was 12 of us so we all had different dishes and not 1 of us enjoyed it. the Sunday roast was bland and the beef was so tough you couldn't chew it the steak was just as bad I will not be returning witch is sad because this could be a great place

I don’t want to lavish too many complements as we are having trouble booking a table!! Seasons greetings go to all the team, and it is the total synergy makes perfect dining experiences. We have dined at Alberts in excess of 300 times over the years. Best waiter is Carlos who always entertains - and looks after us with just the right amount of attentiveness! UPDATE!! Looking forward to Easter Sunday breakfast on 30th March 2024- wondrous menu!!

Had a lovely afternoon tea at Didsbury was a lovely change to the menu nothing was too much trouble would think that a further offer of tea or coffee would be good but apart from that it was worth the money and had a 1 to 1 with my daughter x Thank you

Did not meet expectations. Food was not as advertised on the menu. Staff gave glib answers to any questions or clarifications sought on the menu. Will not be returning after this second poor experience in 3 months.

Lovely food on a Sunday but shame about the live music which started and brought all conversation around the table to an end. I I don’t know why restaurants think it’s a good thing. It was too loud and I go to socialise not have my conversation drowned out.

Found this restaurant on way from airport We thought it look really fancy but when we went in found it was really nice and pleasant family place. The staff were amazing especially Mike, looked after us without being to intrusive. Ensured that we knew what menu's were available at the time ( around 6pm ). Drinks came quickly as we decided what food we wanted and order taken at same time. We chose 3 course meal deal and we were not disappointed. The food was better than we expected for the cost. Ordered coffee and Mike said he would serve with deserts to give us a breather. The bill includes a 10% discretionary charge but would not complain if it was 15% as the service was excellent. If you are looking for a restaurant in didsbury this is your place to go. We now know where it is if we are in the area. Thanks Albert's for a great meal.

Beautiful place with amazing food. Enjoyed starters and mains but surprisingly filling and didn’t manage a dessert! Lovely post Valentine’s Day rush meal out!

Great venue, spacious and classy, with a covered terrace out front. First visit last night after someone told us they have a vegan menu. The menu looks fantastic but the food quality was disappointing. The lentil bake sounds yummy, but resembled a mince pie. I’d bet money on it being a freezer special. The beyond burger looked ok, but then it’s a beyond burger, what can I say? Should have known really, so many vegan dishes on the menu, unlikely to be freshly prepared and cooked. I’d go back, if only for the classy venue and friendly service, but I will be choosing more carefully from the menu.

Went with a friend for lunch. Beautifully fitted out great food and service. Possibly a little bit on the pricey side otherwise can't be faulted. I'll look forward to a further visit

I had a table booked for my.mums birthday for a table of 10, as we like Alberts and have never had a bad experience. However after being seated at 1.30pm and after waiting for some time, i had to ask a waiter if we could order drinks. Then after orderimg food, this did not come until another lengthy wait and us havimg to.ask when we were going to receive our food. In which we were told it was coming soon, so we asked as we had two children that were hungry could we have their food asap. We then had to ask again for the rest of the tables food and by this time it was after 3 pm. We were just about to give up and go, then the food started to come out. I appreciate it was really busy , but not even once were we told 'sorry about the wait' we had to ask the staff! We were not offered any complimentary drinks whilst waiting, nothing! We then decided to have our desserts to go as we did not want to stay any longer. I would say that as it is an open kitchen you could see rhat there were a lot of boxes piled up for takeaways, why they do not stop taking orders for takeways when the restaurant is mad busy, and can not serve/cater for the customers on time that are there as a priority is beyond me!

This is not a critique on the food, place or atmosphere. I have eaten at this restaurant once and the food was ok. I was more concerned about the drinks. I ordered a french martini and it was the worst cocktail I'd ever tasted. French martini is my thing and l know how it's suppose to taste. The barman didn't have a clue how to make it and the colour was totally off. We ordered lemonade and it had a chemical taste to it. I asked the bartender for a glass 3 times because each one was dirty. Things like this puts me off going into a restaurant like this.

Visited this restaurant for my 50th with my family. Service wasn’t great - food was ok, but I king of expected to be blown away and was left disappointed.

Wanted to treat my mum to a nice meal so took her to Albert’s in Didsbury. On arrival we were ignored by a very nervous looking waiter and my mum thought he was very rude. However we were quickly greeted by the hostess who sat us in the bar while our table was cleared. While in the bar we had some drinks, I had a lovely hazelnut latte and my mum had a pomegranate mocktail. Both were great. We were shown to our table and greeted by our server Mike. Mike was very friendly and helpful. The table was perfect, near the pass. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was lovely and warm! Many restaurants seem to be quite cold so I was happy to be so cosy. We shared the Lamb croquette as a starter. I thought it was beautifully presented and tasted nice but was missing some piquancy. Perhaps some lemon juice in the cauli puree? Next I had the steak frites with peppercorn sauce. The steak was good, slightly over for my taste but still delicious. I ate the whole thing! My mum had the chicken pappardelle which was also delicious. Very happy with the mains. For dessert I had the mini frangipani tart. It was mini! Tbf it was the perfect size for my appetite, I don’t think I could have managed anything larger! It was absolutely delicious. My mum had the orange chocolate cheesecake, also very very good! Overall a great visit and my mum loved it, which is the main thing. Recommend for a nice lunch/dinner

Go fairly regularly, and it was nice for a special occasion, daughters birthday choice, we brought along grandad too. Service, ambiance, environment were all great. On this visit felt the food wasn't quite up to their usual perfect standard but still good.

Sunday roast was delicious but unfortunately the service lets this lovely place down. We sat with menus for a while, then it took too long for our starters to be cleared. We had to prompt our waiter to bring our mains (some of which was missing) Food was really good, we all enjoyed it but service needs to be improved.

My first time here and what a beautiful place to visit. He had a ladies lunch and had a fab time. The staff are all lovely, the atmosphere is great and the food was incredible! I still can't believe the standard of the winter lunch set menu, £15 for two courses! Such good value for money. We will definitely visit again. Thank you so much for a lovely visit 😊

Family get together before Christmas

Lovely and cozy place for a meal! Tried their winter menu and it did not disappoint. Our team celebrated our Christmas dinner here and we went home stuffed. Great portion and food was lovely! The staff were attentive and amazing as well.

There aren't enough stars for customer service here. I needed to alert staff to a less usual food intolerance I have. From the outset I was listened to, taken seriously, and - I am delighted to say - never made to feel a nuisance or awkward. The communications between Jen on the reservations team and the restaurant itself seemed to work smoothly and quickly, and Jen kept me informed promptly and in a friendly, human, way. The staff on the day were well-informed and welcoming, and clearly had a system for dealing with allergies. It all meant I could relax and enjoy my meal instead of feeling a nuisance and worrying that I might have to spend a couple of days feeling ill afterwards. Between them staff found a solution so that they could provide something I could eat. Thank you all very much indeed. The restauant was buzzing with christmas spirit! (so quite loud for old ears!) Warm but not too hot, and comfortable seating. The portions were generous but not overfacing, I thought. Altogether, Albert's Didsbury showed they take seriously the meaning of 'hospitality'. Thanks, guys.

Small portions, have to prebook for festive meals enjoyable but some meals are not always available which is a shame when you personally have a favourite or two.
