Been to Albert’s a few times, don’t know if they have reduced their menu but I have to say there was not a lot of choice, food was below average, y husband got Scallops to start with, for 17.00 they were small over cooked. I got a duck spring roll, not good at all, our mains wasn’t much better. Ribeye steak was tough and very fatty. Don’t think we will be returning.

I visited Alberts Didsbury tonight with my family for dinner. Food was delicious and good and cozy atmosphere outside with the heaters on. Lot of thanks to TOMU for excellent service.

We had the pleasure of being served by Martha, and she truly made our experience exceptional. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and professional. She anticipated our needs, checked in at just the right times, and made excellent recommendations. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care added a personal touch that made us feel truly welcome. Food and service was all done very well. Our food was hot, nicely prepared and tasty and the waiter was friendly and efficient. The table was clean and nicely prepared. I had sea bass which was a good size and broccoli stems, all cooked perfectly.

We where recommended Albert's ans where not disappointed. We booked for 12 people on a Sunday lunchtime and had 2 birthdays and some special dietary requirements within our group. Nothing was a problem and Martha was the greatest host accommodating all our needs. Food was great, well presented and the whole tables food brought out within minutes. The atmosphere was great. Strongly recommended.

Unfortunately I can't leave a 0 star review so I must leave an undeserved 1 star. We've been sat down outside, the waiter who directed us to the table must have forgot about us because after 15 mins of sitting around we have not been offered a menu even. Staff has been walking around, looking our way, until we have left out of sheer discomfort. It's been a very awkward experience. Arrived for a Birthday lunch just to get ignored.

Staff were incredibly accommodating - especially considering one of our party was lactose intolerant. Excellent food. Attentive staff throughout our dinner despite it being busy. We never went too long without drinks being refilled. Highly recommend the restaurant as a whole and a great vibe. Martha was our main server and she was fantastic.

Perfect Spot for a Night Out Had dinner here with friends and everything was exceptional. The staff made great recommendations and really knew their stuff. The short rib was out of this world, and the desserts? Don’t skip them. Easily one of my favorite meals in recent memory.

Served beautifully by Martha, with some succulent roast meats with all the trimming in a modern and airy restaurant. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

We ordered fish and chips and mushy peas, but were told there’s no mushy peas that’s fine, frozen peas fine, as I was being treated I didn’t want to say anything, however because I’m a chef, the fish had Evaporated either due to the oil being too hot or… it being fried a second time!!…

Great service, staff very polite and on the ball, unfortunatley i didnt enjoy my food as much this time, the starter kofta & houmos was too creamy & very strong garlic, the tortellini pasta main was 3 pieces & too hard, im sure if i raised the matter they would have changed it

Had a super meal. Opted for a chicken and white terrain to start, followed by sea bass, and the cheese plate to finish. The sea bass was vert well cooked and came with a some very tasty sauces. The cheese was all sourced locally within the north. I tried the Alberts6beer and the ipa which were both great. Thanks to our server Connor who did a fantastic job, and epitomises the friendly and efficient service.

The food was terrific. Service was a bit slow but what a gorgeous place.

We have visited Albert's a few times in the past, and had a very enjoyable experience on the whole. However, on this occasion, we were not very happy. We waited well over an hour for food, this would have been fine, if our table had been regularly looked after by waiting staff. We felt like we had to keep getting their attention all the time. We had to ask them to move empty glasses and empty plates.When we did ask for drinks etc, it seemed like we were bothering them. They would have sold more drinks if we had been waited on in the right manner. Food was ok, I had a steak and my hubby had a steak. They were quite small, but cooked how we wanted them. We weren't given a steak knife though. The others in our party had pizza and a burger, which my daughter had requested to take off onions and gherkins etc, but when it arrived it came with everything on it. This wasn't a problem though as they made her another one. We asked twice for dessert menus. We, overall just felt like were disturbing them each time we asked. The restaurant wasn't over busy either, so this cannot be the excuse. By the time, we were asking for dessert menus, the restaurant was practically empty, but service didn't improve. We haved dined there at busier times and been waited on better and quicker. Sorry, but we were far from impressed on this occasion.

I booked for Mother's Day breakfast for the mums in my family. Unfortunately I couldn't go due to illness but my mum who is 90 went with my sister and two nieces. This year was a very special day as my youngest niece had just becom a new mum and my mum had recently turned 90. They waited a hour to be served, the manager did come over and apologise and told them they were really busy and booked up till 8pm. Surely you would put on extra staff or take less bookings to ensure your customers have a great experience?? Unfortunately when the food did arrive all four meals were cold and tge black pudding was hard. Very dissapointed for my family as I chose this place.and my sister paid full price

The food was absolutely delicious. All the staff were attentive throughout. Connor was particularly helpful and even phoned us a taxi at the end of the evening. We had a slight issue with our coffee not being hot enough but this was quickly remedied and the staff were very apologetic.

We were served by Rahul on the last two occasions we were in Albert’s. He was very attentive to us making sure everything was ok, keeping a look Out when we had finished our meal and ready for desserts. An excellent waiter

A group of seven of us went here, I had the two course, “Starter & Main Meal. First I had Broccoli & Stilton Soup which was very nice. Then Ordered the Ramen, as I started eating the Ramen I realised that having Ramen straight after the Soup was Not a good Idea, and unfortunately needed the loo, I left the Table and asked my friends to ask the Waitress to Pack the Ramen up so that I could take it home to eat later. After coming back to the table we were all ready for leaving, the bill had been paid and we all set off for home, My friend had brought my Ramen to the Car for me and put it in my car, later when I looked at the container, it was quite small, I didn’t understand because I’d only had three or four Spoonfuls, I’d mentioned it to my friend and was told that the Waitress, when told to put it into a container to take home had told them that she had to pour the liquid Out of the Ramen because it would have leaked out and that they don’t have Containers for anything that has liquid in it, 🤷‍♀️ I couldn’t believe it, I think that half the Ramen was poured out with the liquid, I cannot understand that a place like the Albert would Not have Containers Suitable to take soup like food home. I ended up paying ( which was not cheap ) for food that I only received a quarter of . I would also like to add that you need to be aware, that if you do go to the Albert’s, Didsbury, that if you do go for the Two Or Three Courses, that they are only Very Small Portions. Definitely not worth the Prices that they Charge. I’d advise Albert’s to purchase some Containers that are Suitable for Ramen doggy bags. Each one of the seven of us were very Very Disappointed.

Very poor experience with Albert's. Staff rude and unhelpful, wrote to the restaurant about our poor experience and was completely ignored. Do not recommend.

Came for food for the first time... celebrating some birthdays and it was class! Looked after by the legend that is Rahul. He picked my main for me, Lamb Ragu Pasta, unbelievable. Thanks for looking after us!

Service by Ines was incredible! We honestly had such a great meal, all managers and staff were also extremely helpful and friendly, and the food was exceptional! Will come again!

Food was good and the place is nice for children. We book for 11.45 for breakfast but was asked to move to the bar after around 45 mins because there will be a large party, which is quite disappointed. Anyways, the staff was nice and the food was good so we would still give them 5 stars.

Fish and chips with the set lunch menu. Very greasy, far too much grease on my plate. I had to fold my napkin and place it under the fish to try to soak some of it up! Yuck..Just take a couple more seconds to drain it off before plating up. Such a shame, the food is usually very good here.

Just returned from another excellent visit to the Didsbury restaurant. The food was delicious and served beautifully. The service was brilliant, particularly Becky who looked after us with the upmost care and consideration, she really went the extra mile.

We've been at Albert's quite a few times. It's a lovely and lively place. The food is reliably tasty. The atmosphere is relaxing, As I cannot quite remember how often we go there, say the last 10 times, staff were always very welcoming and professional. It feels like they feel good working there.

I had a dinner at Albert’s last night. So, the starter was good. Sirloin steak for mains was nearly COLD when it was brought in, not to mention that it contained rather large amount of material which my teeth couldn’t handle. Dessert was a bit dry and wasn’t really what it could have been. But the real disappointment and surprise was Alberts own beer. Never never have I EVER discarded a pint, but there’s clearly a first time for everything. The beer’s flavor was a typical, hoppy hipster-crap and normally would not be worth another try. BUT… The stench coming out of the pint was exactly the same as the fluid which you vomit out, when such time comes. I tried to sip the assumpted beer-kind-of-substance a few times but as the stench would’ve made me want to throw up, I asked the waitress to bring me a pint of Guinness instead. The service was great and I loved how all the staff who worked at waiting the tables were in a good mood. So, all in all, 2 stars for the happy staff but -3 stars for the lack of focus on food, which should be THE thing on a place like this. Keep the waiters and fire the chef. Thank you.

We went there for set up menu January offer.The food was really poor. Only good thing we didn’t pay a lot.Jug of water dirty with fingerprints.Dishes like takeout quality food on “posh plates “ in “posh place”.

First time visiting here celebrating our anniversary. They extended the time for their 2-course set menu as part of their January offers. We ordered a starter, 2 mains, and a dessert. All the staff were friendly and welcoming as soon as we entered the building. They were also attentive too. As we ordered one starter and one dessert, they provided us side plates and extra cutlery for sharing. The food was very good. Simple and nothing over the top which we prefer. Thank you Albert's for the evening. We enjoyed ourselves and will visit again.

I had a really nice time at Albert's, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were really friendly. One of our party had some food allergies, and the manager came over to discuss it, and had a little laugh and joke with us. The price is reasonable considering Albert's good reputation, we had expected to pay a lot more, and the atmosphere was great, inside and on the terrace area.

Special meal for anniversary celebrations. Will, our Server was exceptional. When we were indecisive, he made suggestions for meals (incl vegan options) which were 100% and delicious. Hospitable, welcoming and friendly; just what’s required to make a meal out even more special. Thanks Will!

Food was nice and hot only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because they missed my scallop off my starter and by the time I got it I had already finished the starter. Service was spot on. Atmosphere was busy but cal busy if that's a thing the waitress was knowledgeable on the area and knew where other establishments were. All in all was a great experience.

Like a lot of things in this area of Manchester, this restaurant is very much style over substance. It looks very fancy and nice but the food is pretty basic and wouldn’t be out of place on a Gastro pub menu. The staff were helpful about my allergies even though one waiter advised me not to get a vegan dish option as making it vegan wouldn’t taste good lol. I wouldn’t rush back here.

Staff very helpful and attentive, beautiful decor, just bit noisy as was busy, that's just my personal preference. Loos downstairs, Limited car parking. Food extremely good, turkey dinner lovely just needed more gravy which we received when requested.

We had Martha as a waiter this evening and she done a brilliant job speaking to me and my mother. The food was spot and the atmosphere itself is always stunning. By the Martha, if your reading this I would like to say keep doing what you do because Albert’s are lucky to have you. Lastly contact me sometime.

Went for lunch to alberts a couple of weeks ago, our server Michelle was excellent, she was very professional, attentive, patient & looked after us very well. Our food great also.

Here for a friend's birthday, up from Gloucestershire. It was Rauls first solo shift and he was so pleasant, hope he stays. Food was delicious, apology received for the delay but we hadn't noticed! Atmosphere is great and it's decorated beautifully.

I had an amazing experience for lunch with friends. The team and especially Neil took the time to go through the menu with me to ensure I was able to get lactose free and halal options. Good god, good service. Not quite as quiet and intimate as I’d have liked. Good for medium sized gatherings (eg 4 to 8 people).

Came here for a birthday dinner. Place is spacious with a very nice ambience. The drinks menu has quite the variety of cocktails, I can happily recommend the Dark Cherry Cosmo and the Passion fruit Mojito. We had mains and desserts. Most upper £10s to low £20s with streak obviously pricier. I got the swordfish and it was delicious! Very good value for your money. Dessert was a Spiced Pear and Almond Tart which was also delightful. There is a decent selection of Gluten Free options and some vegetarian/vegan options. Slight wait on the main meal but it was somewhat busy and they were very apologetic. The car park is a little small so street parking might be needed. I would highly recommend for a fancy dinner/date night or even just a couple of cocktails at the bar. Will be coming back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Albert’s Restaurant & Bar in Didsbury for a Sunday dinner with family, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. We decided to indulge in a variety of dishes, and I must say, the roast lamb was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. The accompanying sides complemented the dish beautifully. I also tried Albert’s burger, which was juicy and packed with flavor. It's clear that they take pride in their ingredients, as each bite was a treat. The roast beef was another highlight, served with all the traditional trimmings. It was hearty and satisfying, making it a perfect choice for a Sunday meal. The attention to detail in the presentation and taste was evident. Service throughout our meal was excellent. The staff were attentive our mane waiter Becky was great without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel welcome. To top it all off, we enjoyed their home-brewed beer, Albert Beer, which was fantastic. It had a rich flavor that paired wonderfully with our meals. Overall, I highly recommend Albert’s Restaurant & Bar for a Sunday dinner with family. The combination of delicious food, great service, and the inviting atmosphere made for a memorable outing. We’ll definitely be back!

Alberts have gone downhill in the last 12/18 months, a limited menu,which we found quite disappointing, at this moment in time, we couldn't recommend it.
