Had a great night out with friends, steak was cooked lovely, service was great...

Will serviced us and he was great! Great knowledge of wines and overall amazing service. Would definitely come again.

Just returned from another excellent visit to the Didsbury restaurant. The food was delicious and served beautifully. The service was brilliant, particularly Becky who looked after us with the upmost care and consideration, she really went the extra mile.

I had fish and chips. It was small with very little fish inside

We've been at Albert's quite a few times. It's a lovely and lively place. The food is reliably tasty. The atmosphere is relaxing, As I cannot quite remember how often we go there, say the last 10 times, staff were always very welcoming and professional. It feels like they feel good working there.

We went there for set up menu January offer.The food was really poor. Only good thing we didn’t pay a lot.Jug of water dirty with fingerprints.Dishes like takeout quality food on “posh plates “ in “posh place”.

I had a dinner at Albert’s last night. So, the starter was good. Sirloin steak for mains was nearly COLD when it was brought in, not to mention that it contained rather large amount of material which my teeth couldn’t handle. Dessert was a bit dry and wasn’t really what it could have been. But the real disappointment and surprise was Alberts own beer. Never never have I EVER discarded a pint, but there’s clearly a first time for everything. The beer’s flavor was a typical, hoppy hipster-crap and normally would not be worth another try. BUT… The stench coming out of the pint was exactly the same as the fluid which you vomit out, when such time comes. I tried to sip the assumpted beer-kind-of-substance a few times but as the stench would’ve made me want to throw up, I asked the waitress to bring me a pint of Guinness instead. The service was great and I loved how all the staff who worked at waiting the tables were in a good mood. So, all in all, 2 stars for the happy staff but -3 stars for the lack of focus on food, which should be THE thing on a place like this. Keep the waiters and fire the chef. Thank you.

First time visiting here celebrating our anniversary. They extended the time for their 2-course set menu as part of their January offers. We ordered a starter, 2 mains, and a dessert. All the staff were friendly and welcoming as soon as we entered the building. They were also attentive too. As we ordered one starter and one dessert, they provided us side plates and extra cutlery for sharing. The food was very good. Simple and nothing over the top which we prefer. Thank you Albert's for the evening. We enjoyed ourselves and will visit again.

I enjoyed my steak, although it wasn’t cooked how I would like it to have been, it was still very good. The waiter Rahul was very nice and surprised me with a birthday trea.

I had a really nice time at Albert's, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were really friendly. One of our party had some food allergies, and the manager came over to discuss it, and had a little laugh and joke with us. The price is reasonable considering Albert's good reputation, we had expected to pay a lot more, and the atmosphere was great, inside and on the terrace area.

Special meal for anniversary celebrations. Will, our Server was exceptional. When we were indecisive, he made suggestions for meals (incl vegan options) which were 100% and delicious. Hospitable, welcoming and friendly; just what’s required to make a meal out even more special. Thanks Will!

Food was nice and hot only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because they missed my scallop off my starter and by the time I got it I had already finished the starter. Service was spot on. Atmosphere was busy but cal busy if that's a thing the waitress was knowledgeable on the area and knew where other establishments were. All in all was a great experience.

Like a lot of things in this area of Manchester, this restaurant is very much style over substance. It looks very fancy and nice but the food is pretty basic and wouldn’t be out of place on a Gastro pub menu. The staff were helpful about my allergies even though one waiter advised me not to get a vegan dish option as making it vegan wouldn’t taste good lol. I wouldn’t rush back here.

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Albert’s today. Food and service were excellent and the fixed price menu is superb value. Highly recommended.

Staff very helpful and attentive, beautiful decor, just bit noisy as was busy, that's just my personal preference. Loos downstairs, Limited car parking. Food extremely good, turkey dinner lovely just needed more gravy which we received when requested.

We had Martha as a waiter this evening and she done a brilliant job speaking to me and my mother. The food was spot and the atmosphere itself is always stunning. By the Martha, if your reading this I would like to say keep doing what you do because Albert’s are lucky to have you. Lastly contact me sometime.

Highly dissatisfied with my meal, the service and the overall experience. Will not return in a hurry.

Went for lunch to alberts a couple of weeks ago, our server Michelle was excellent, she was very professional, attentive, patient & looked after us very well. Our food great also.

Here for a friend's birthday, up from Gloucestershire. It was Rauls first solo shift and he was so pleasant, hope he stays. Food was delicious, apology received for the delay but we hadn't noticed! Atmosphere is great and it's decorated beautifully.

Beautiful restaurant great staff and fair prices

I had an amazing experience for lunch with friends. The team and especially Neil took the time to go through the menu with me to ensure I was able to get lactose free and halal options. He was patient and very considerate and I really appreciated the service from everyone! Will definitely be back and would certainly recommend!

Good god, good service. Not quite as quiet and intimate as I’d have liked. Good for medium sized gatherings (eg 4 to 8 people).

Came here for a birthday dinner. Place is spacious with a very nice ambience. The drinks menu has quite the variety of cocktails, I can happily recommend the Dark Cherry Cosmo and the Passion fruit Mojito. We had mains and desserts. Most upper £10s to low £20s with streak obviously pricier. I got the swordfish and it was delicious! Very good value for your money. Dessert was a Spiced Pear and Almond Tart which was also delightful. There is a decent selection of Gluten Free options and some vegetarian/vegan options. Slight wait on the main meal but it was somewhat busy and they were very apologetic. The car park is a little small so street parking might be needed. I would highly recommend for a fancy dinner/date night or even just a couple of cocktails at the bar. Will be coming back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Albert’s Restaurant & Bar in Didsbury for a Sunday dinner with family, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. We decided to indulge in a variety of dishes, and I must say, the roast lamb was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. The accompanying sides complemented the dish beautifully. I also tried Albert’s burger, which was juicy and packed with flavor. It's clear that they take pride in their ingredients, as each bite was a treat. The roast beef was another highlight, served with all the traditional trimmings. It was hearty and satisfying, making it a perfect choice for a Sunday meal. The attention to detail in the presentation and taste was evident. Service throughout our meal was excellent. The staff were attentive our mane waiter Becky was great without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel welcome. To top it all off, we enjoyed their home-brewed beer, Albert Beer, which was fantastic. It had a rich flavor that paired wonderfully with our meals. Overall, I highly recommend Albert’s Restaurant & Bar for a Sunday dinner with family. The combination of delicious food, great service, and the inviting atmosphere made for a memorable outing. We’ll definitely be back!

Alberts have gone downhill in the last 12/18 months, a limited menu,which we found quite disappointing, at this moment in time, we couldn't recommend it.

Visited Albert’s in Didsbury with my daughter today and we both enjoyed the new lunch menu. Mike was a very pleasant and attentive server who tended to our needs throughout.

Excellent bar/restaurant. Lovely food, reasonably priced, attentive staff, lovely decor and ambience. Well recommended.

We had booked a table for 5 people one afternoon, we were well looked after however service was a little slow but it was extremely busy so we were fine with that and staff were very apologetic, food very good and lovely relaxing atmosphere, never felt rushed at all. They gave us a 10% discount off the bill because of the slow service, we would have been absolutely fine paying the full bill but this was a great gesture. We are not local however would definitely return if in the area again.

Menu updated since last time but kept favourites of Malayan chicken and cheese and onion pie. I had the salmon fillet with mussels and cider cream. Absolutely delicious and the portions are just right so you don't feel too full.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Albert’s in Didsbury. The food was delicious and Evie the waitress was wonderful. Evie was helpful, happy and smiley and we weren’t rushed, which is always appreciated. The manager (I can’t remember his name) was also happy, smiley and funny. So nice to eat in a place with a lovely ambiance and happy staff!

Despite a busy Sunday service, our waitress was thorough, attentive and constantly smiling. It was nice to see none of the staff rushed off their feet. Sunday roast was excellent, great portion size, good flavours and the beef was beautifully cooked. Our seating was also carefully considered, the restaurant was clearly busy but we felt like we had room to move and were not overlooked or squashed in any way. I will definitely visit again if ever in the area. Thank you

Our first time eating at Alberts, we are here visiting from the south coast, food is amazing and lovely service. We parked just down the road as car park is small. We just wish we had an Alberts near us, we will definitely return when we are here again. 👌

Food, atmosphere and drinks were top notch however the component that made our experience truly exceptional was Carlos’ service. A beautiful man inside and out! Wonderful in every way

The service was amazing and the place inside is very cosy. It can get crowded especially Friday evenings so it is a bit noisy but we had a great time. The starters were so tasty I would really recommend (crab croquette and focaccia). The mains (lamb ragu and steak) were also nice but I think the ragu could have a bit more meat. Generally we had a good experience and we would go back.

The place itself is lovely, and the staff are all brilliant. The food however was disappointing. Chips a small round cheese and onion pie and a smear of pea puree for £16.

We had a great birthday lunch today with friends. The food was delish. Michael was fantastic went out of us his way to make sure we had a good time. we have been a few times but he really stood out with his service.

I love this restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, light and airy. The staff can't do enough for you. We had a mid-week lunch 5. The food was delicious. 2 of us had a Prawn Thai curry, scrumptious. All enjoyed the food.

Booked a table by phone. Friendly welcome. Good to find that there is some onsite parking. Food was perfectly OK. I did enjoy my burger. Price wise the food was not overly expensive but the drinks definitely were. No complaints about the service it was efficient and delivered with attention and ease.

Love the chilled ambience and the beautiful decoration there. They have some outdoor sitting as well. Staff is helpful and friendly. Price is reasonable. I would definitely go back again.

Albert’s offers great variety of food in a classy environment and setting, I’ve been multiple times for a range of occasions: family visiting; out for quick dinner with friends; drinks and it is outstanding every time I go. Really good location, if a local to Didsbury with street parking available nearby, in addition to a small parking on premises, if not a local. The food menu covers all bases and the drinks menu offers great variety The pricing is reasonable and the environment is welcoming

Food was a bit eclectic. Great table on the terrace but let down when the waiter said we couldn’t move out of the heat of the sun. In the end we upped and moved ourselves to a different table on the patio. Wouldn’t rush back

From start to finish simply brilliant, a perfect way to spend Sunday lunch. From the warm welcome from the host on the desk to everyone who served us at the table, all an asset to your business. All of us enjoyed the food, the roasts were excellent as were the starters, I’d recommend the sharing roast! The ambience perfect with the live vocalist. We will be back.

Good ambeance, good service and good food.

We had a large family get together last Saturday here. It was our first time and we loved it. The restaurant is large and airy and has a really nice atmosphere is spacious and light. The food was lovely. The staff are amazing. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

We didn't enjoy it here. Seemed like overpriced microwaved food with no service. I had to ask for basic things, like a knife and fork. Albert's seems to have this thing going on of young adults who come here to drink. It seems to be a social thing, about status. The girls wear nice albeit quite skimpy outfits, the guys look dapper but slightly chavvy. Dapper chavs? Not sure if I'm describing it well. Essexy vibe? It's definitely not our thing: we go to a restaurant to relax, eat food food, and enjoy the dining experience.

Wonderful experience- can’t wait to dine here again.

Cannot fault this place. We had the fixed price three course lunch and it was absolutely delicious. I had the fish (sea bass, I think) and it was done to perfection. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks arrived promptly, but at no point did we feel rushed. The restaurant is very well set out, so that you have privacy and space to talk and everything was spotless. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere nice to go in Didsbury.

Very good as usual. Excellent cheffing, deft service. ambinence improved (more material to soak upi noise). The only fly in the ointment was a "Card Only" notice spotted on entry and then, for apperatifs before other guests arrrived, they would NOT accept my [nor any colour] platinum American Express card! So they got legal tender and said "no change" - so nothing to tip with!

I attended Albert’s Didsbury with some old work friends for a special occasion. The food was delightful as always and the staff were amazing. I was super impressed with the service provided, I’d like to thank Giuseppe for looking after us. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone out for a meal where the table host was well mannered, lovely to speak to and genuinely cared about providing a high level of service.

Very nice restaurant in Didsbury, menu was very varied and not too expensive. The food was very fresh and tasted great, I would highly recommend the sesame fried chicken. Just a shame they do not take Amex

Our first time at Albert's and was pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious and our server for the evening Tom was wonderful. Will definitely have to come back.

Food was lovely and the service was good although it took over 45mins for the food to arrive. We sat outside and enjoyed looking at the amazing hanging baskets and planted borders. It's a pity the fake greenery on the terrace was so tangled and naff!

Ended up here after finding first choices closed - no regrets whatsoever! Super-friendly staff, fantastic food with great veggie and vegan options and a fresh interior.

Visited on Sunday for the roast…The young waiter serving outside was lovely/attentive. The rabbit gnocchi to start and sticky toffee pudding were great but the roast was disappointing, 2 tiny pieces of beef and roasties that were still hard in the middle. Wouldn’t recommend for a roast.
