The night started off great. We were seated, offered menus and given tap water quickly. We were served by a lady who gave us a recommendation for wine that we liked. However, that’s where it started to go downhill. I understand they were short staffed due to the protest, and I can empathise with that. However, we were forgotten about for half an hour after receiving our wine. We eventually managed to flag down a waiter to take our order (45 mins after being seated). For starters we got the cheese and charcuterie. The cheese was great to be fair, we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we did not get any plates/cutlery. The charcuterie was meh. We also ordered olives which didn’t arrive until later because they kept forgetting. The mains, we got the tagliatelle which was over cooked and congealed in places and frankly, tasteless. The sea bass fish cakes were rock hard and dry. When we first looked at the menu we were really excited to try the desserts, but after the underwhelming mains, we decided to give it a miss and get dessert from the shop lol. For the price, we thought it was extremely overvalued and underwhelming. We normally eat out quite a lot and we like to think we know our stuff when it comes to good places, but because of the pandemic, this was our first meal out since December. It was extremely disappointing.

Sometimes, just sometimes, the food, the wine, the service and the ambience consistently work together to create something truly magical. It's the consistency of that excellence that is amazing. How Albertine do it is a mystery to me but one I will keep coming back for. Currently their steak and chips are amongst the best I have ever had. My husband tells me the grouse is ridiculously good. Then there is the wine list which is idiosyncratic and intriguing. Delicious. Don't just take my word for it - find out for yourself.

Wonderful to return to such a fantastic place,we discovered in January and tried again just before lockdown struck. The food on offer is clearly fresh and seasonal, we both had the grouse dish which tasted as decadent as it looked. We got to meet the chef twice, we were honoured to share the time of a chef of his magnificent calibre, he explained the dishes to us thoroughly in an engaging and concientous manner. Wonderful to experience such great cooking again after a year full of paper croissants!!

Took 2 great (and very discerning) clients and a colleague to Albertine for dinner. Everyone was impressed with the food, ambience and the wine in particular, produced by a restaurant that seems unassuming but certainly delivers. One declared that his steak was one of the best he had eaten in ages, but was most impressed with the delicious tapas style dishes we had to start with. The wine pairings were well chosen by the experts on hand. All in all a tremendously successful, relaxed and fun evening. My guests’ expectations were definitely exceeded. Well done again my friends at Albertine!

I have been there today with my wife, actually was the first time, I knew this place from outside, it’s really close to our home, but never been inside before. Once we were inside, someone Very kind came to us to introduce the place, the menu, and the wines. We were feeling at home, we ordered burrata and chiken livers pate as starter and risotto as the main dish, everything was incredible amazing, the taste of the food were fantastic, food to be in magazines and tv shows. We really recommend that, and the most important thing was the price, very accessible. Thanks for the comfortable night, Albertine is amazing.

Had a shocking experience at this venue due to the Manager's terrible attitude and rudeness. I visited here one afternoon with my colleagues an the Manager was rude and unfriendly from the moment we walked into the door. She was snappy when we asked for anything and snatched the menus from us. She then told us off for talking loudly, we were just chatting! Then the most shocking part was when we had paid our bill we was rude and aggressive towards us in a way that should not be allowed. The matter in hand is currently being reported. But as a warning avoid this place if you're looking for a friendly venue.

I am so grateful to Rob and his brilliant team at Albertine for hosting a Hen party in their private room. It really was the perfect venue for so many reasons - but it goes without saying that Rob was hugely accommodating and totally allowed us to have the party we had all hoped for. We all felt totally at home and will certainly be back... but perhaps for a girlie dinner next time rather than a Hen party!! I would recommend Albertine to anyone wanting to organise a private party because Rob will go above and beyond to ensure you are happy... customer service at its best.

Me encantó.

I've come to Albertines for years, over a decade easily. I've had birthdays, dates, arguments, long boozy lunches, post theatre dinners and after work drinks there - it's been the perfect haven from the madness of the world and the badness of the chains and dives you find everywhere. Everyone used to love the Albertine, a proper wine bar where the staff knew their stuff and the food was, frankly, just an antidote to the serious business of drinking wine from an exhaustive, intelligently-curated list. Now, the place has been taken over by a well known chef and her presence is heralded by the advent of rather naff wine-themed wallpaper and self-importantly hand-annotated recipes plastered to the toilet walls as well as more of an emphasis on, well, slightly more cheffy food.

We knew the Albertines of old, and visited it often. We're not as conveniently based now, but popped in last week during the afternoon. The place has had a spruce up, but it's still very recognisably Albertines, which we liked because we had so many good memories of the old place. A very warm welcome from Esther, still a lovely varied wine list, and we had tried a couple of dishes from the menu - both dishes were nicely presented and we really enjoyed them. The food in Albertines was good before, and now it's even better, with Guy the chef. Well worth a visit and I can't imagine you'll find nicer food anywhere in the Westfield food court - I never have.

Upstairs is a dining room, and also dining on ground floor along with the wine bar. It has lots of character, and an interesting and short seasonal menu (eg ricotta/wild garlic pesto/beetroot salad, cima di rapa/ and other dishes such as charcuterie; asparagus and duck egg; risotto; grilled sardines etc). Recommended.

There were a few teething problems - my main was left on the side and totally forgotten about whilst my friends had theirs - I spotted it and the waiter was very apologetic. It was cold and I think they just re-heated it.The owner/chef? dealt with it beautifully and offered all three of us desserts on the house. The wines were lovely and I am glad to see it has re-opened - and I hope by now they have sorted out any initial opening problems.

Two of us went after hearing it had been re-opened by the LEON chef.We weren't disappointed: food was unusual and lovely, served with very friendly passion. With the advice of a helpful man who called himself a "friend/helper" who was there we found a good bottle of wine too.It all felt very intimate, almost like being welcomed into someone's home. Which we later find out is pretty much what this is: the lady chef grew up here when her mum ran it. Post LEON it seems she has bought it back and carried it on pretty much as it was .. but with an added twist on the food. Our favorite was the anchovies on toast, closely followed by the ham hock-and-pea croquettes.Definitely on our list of places to visit again.

We went two weeks after it opened and it quickly became apparent that things weren't going well: the wine selection "hadn't caught up with the list" (quaint turn of phrase) and the quiche "hadn't yet been delivered". Visions of traffic-delayed freezer lorries with numbers painted on their sides made us lose our appetites and we didn't eat. A hard-faced manager and an exasperated waiter ensured that the welcome was provided by the exit door on our way out.

Gewöhnungsbedürftig für ein Weinlokal ist es, dass man sich seine Getränke an der Theke selber holen muss, aber man gewöhnt sich im Laufe des Abends daran. Nice little place, this. Probably not somewhere I'd go back to on the regular, but if you're in the area anyway it's not a bad option. The interior's quite charming, if a little on the rickety side (the benches seem to be repurposed church pews, and the table we were at was so wonky we almost lost a whole glass of wine early on), and it has one of the most extensive cheese lists I've ever seen, colour coded according to animal of provenance and type. The service is slow, as I could only see three people who seemed to be doing everything, so it's probably not the place to go if you're in a hurry. The wine list is massive, but on the pricey side. I only saw main dishes going past, but they looked tempting as well.Given the relative paucity of nice wine bars in the area, it's a good option, but you can find better elsewhere.

We're often in this area for theatre (The Bush, just around the corner, one of London's best places for new writing) and the Albertine is a great place for a pre- or post-theatre drink ...or for filling that difficult period between the football (QPR, also nearby) and theatre, either with a celebratory libation after a last-minute winner or (and sadly more often) a consolation drink after throwing the match away by conceding a late goal. But the great thing about the Albertine is that win or lose, as far as the football goes, great play or disappointment at the theatre, this cosy place with an extensive wine list will have something to suit your mood. It seems quite unpredictable whether it'll be crowded or empty - we've seen it both at the same time on different Saturday evenings - and sadly they won't take a table booking for after 8.30 on a Saturday night, which isn't much use if you want to come after the theatre. We've eaten here too and the tapas/tasting plates are probably better than the main meals. which all seem OK-ish but rather bland (same issue with 3 quite different dishes last time we went). But as a wine bar with snacks, it's a great place ...obviously a labour of love for the staff, and it shows.

So many of the reviews about this wine bar talk about cute, quaint, old timey etc. It's none of these. The only thing that was vaguely interesting was the buzz and I believe the buzz came from its proximity to the BBC. What makes people praise uncomfortable wooden chairs? Why are the smallest tables I have ever seen in an eating establishment something to treasure? I don't get it. As for the food, stunningly ordinary is the best I can say. It would not surprise me if there is no chef on the premises and the trusty old microwave does all the work. The staff was pleasant and the glass of Sauvignon pleasnt enough.

The décor is simple and understated - with wooden benches, bottles of (real) wine as wallpaper and relaxed and pleasant staff, what's not to like. The best part of this was my meal last night, taking mum for the first time. We had a mouth watering risotto with a wonderful combo of flavours. She was really impressed! Portions are healthy but not loosen the belt size or looking for more because you can't see it on a dustbin lid plate. Wine? Well it is an eat in wine shop after all, serving an array of charcuterie, cheese boards, small plates and of courses mains. Prices are reasonable and the menu changes every day to keep you on your toes. Location is great, close to public transport. Can't wait for the next meal!!

A repeat visit to this little wine bar in Shepherd's Bush proved that it hasn't lost its touch. We enjoyed a selection of small dishes including mackerel paté, quinoa salad, Serrano ham with manchego and quince jam, and taleggio cheese, with a bottle of Malbec. Everything tasted wonderful. We ended with a not strictly necessary but delicious cheesecake with summer berries. The range of cheeses is small but well selected. Just a warning, at busy times you may not get a table as Albertine's is very popular and you can't book.

It's been 12 months since we visited Albertine's but are still talking about it. It was our last night in UK before flying home to Oz and we took a stroll through Shepherds Bush and came across this gem.Great food and an amazing range of cheeses and fantastic wine that the friendly staff (and the owner) helped us match to our selections.Really nice atmosphere -and a fantastic way to end our 5 week trip around the UK. Thanks Giles!

I am lucky enough to live just around the corner from this place and I absolutely love it! It’s a lovely little wine bar with a cozy, intimate atmosphere – a welcome respite from the noisy pub! The staff are always really friendly (and funny!) and make very good wine and cheese recommendations. I have never tried their main menu so can’t vouch for that, but you can’t go wrong with their cheese/charcuterie boards and smaller snacks with a bottle of wine!

Went here with my sister and boyfriend as my sister lives around the corner. We will definitely be making this a traditional visiting place everytime we go back to Chez Bu as it was amazing. Lots of taster plates which means you can try loads of different things. And a fantastic wine list. Nothing is overly priced although we got so comfortable that we did have a few more bottles of wine than we had expected!!! Great service and lovely environment to enjoy good food and wine with friends and family.

We went here on a week night. The place smelt fusty and damp. We ordered wine, olives and patatas bravas. The olives were off so we did not eat them- we were still charged for them! Poor customer service. We will all definitely not be returning- a place like this cannot afford to have such bad service.

Only my second time to Albertines but I'm already looking for an excuse to go again. The rustic feel of the place is great for casual occasions and the menu and wine selection is fantastic. Food is mainly small plates and a vast array of cheese but this works well for the environment. It's a shame you can't reserve tables downstairs but I understand why! Very relaxed and knowledgable service meaning we stayed a while and racked up a fair bill. All worth it though!

I stumbled across the Albertine when I was living in Shepherds Bush; it has been one of my favourite wine bars ever since! They have quality wines at good prices, and nice platters of food to share.A perfect place to catch up as it's not too noisy, away from the chain restaurants of Westfield!

I've enjoyed many a meal at the Albertine, there's always a good atmosphere but it's really the wine list that makes this place so special. The list is well chosen with pricing that's really reasonable, unlike most London restaurants. Look through the list and you're likely to find some interesting older gems.Am looking forward to going back.

Weekday lunch. Nice relaxed bistro, really nice service, excellent wine choices and a superb homely fish pie. Albertine's is reliably very good at what it does. Much better option than the chains in the shopping centre. And it's 2 mins away!

Before spending a day researching at the British Library I had a great opportunity at eating breakfast at Albertines. The food wa s wonderful, I had two eggs, two sausages and filter coffee, and the wait staff are very friendly. My breakfast was so good I decided to try their lunch which was even better, I decided to have a ham & cheese panini. The staff and the food make this place a must when you visit London.

An unbelievable wine selection, with a huge variety available by the glass. Delicious food, great atmosphere, lots of fun. They haven't got much room, so they don't tend to allow pushchairs in, but they've made exceptions for us at quieter times (it can get pretty busy)

Been here a few times as close to Bush theatre. Quality of food and wine is very good. But on both occasions I've noticed how the customers appear to get in the way of one or two of the staff. Who mainly appear to be in there to pose and chat amongst themselves. Blonde girl in particular is very loud and (probably unknowingly) ignorant. She knocked up a cheese plate for me on my first visit (I did have to wait till she'd finished chatting at her colleague)kept coughing into her hand when I ordered, then proceeded to grab clumps of bread with the same hand moments later! Get over yourself love - the BBC are moving North so all you've got left are us ordinary folk.....if we come back.

We really enjoyed this restaurant, unpretentious, great food, astoundingly cheap for the quality of food. Great wines.

Serves great wine from an extensive list.... Always very busy. Nice atmosphere - wooden floors & furniture, always fresh flowers in the windows and on tables. Great place to chill, recommend it! Closed on Sunday's.

If ever you fancy an old style wine bar, no frills, this is the place. I think it has been there for 25 plus years and Im guessing very little has changed inside since it opened. Serious wine list and excellent value for money. Atmosphere is great here when it is busy, they really do pack you in to a very small space. The food is simple and exactly what I wanted with a few glasses of wine, Ham, Chorizo, a good selection of cheeses and pate. They do more substantial plates which looked simple and I think all were around £10. I saw they have just picked up the Imbibe wine list of the year award.

This is a wonderful wine bar with an onwer who reallly knows his wine. Wooden tables, great atmosphere and tasty, reasonably priced French influenced food. In an age of identikit pubs and bars this is a hidden gem.

Amazing supporters’pub. Tons of screens, two floors, at least 10 beers. But most of all, a place where supporters from Fulham and West Ham were drinking together, respecting each other, and creating one of the most beautiful football related scenes I have ever seen. Will be back again for sure

Service was good but the one waitress was not enough for all the covers to be efficient so lots of waiting. Food was disappointing - starter pate was missing its chutney & the main (only) veggie dish (risotto) was swimming in oil - I used a spoon to take off c.150ml of oil from the surface but it was still too thick with oil to eat.
