I ordered food which came after about 30 minutes but that's not all. The bacon was like the sole of a shoe, on top of that my food was not warm enough... The cutleries were dirty and the food was terrible. Prices are out of mind, high price - low quality. 1 star is a lot…

Breakfast was warm and tasted like it had been cooked previously. Sausage greasy and bacon tough. Expensive for what it was. I don't mind paying for good food but would be reluctant to go back for breakfast! Cakes, scones and desserts looked good. Service was quick and staff and atmosphere pleasant.

Extremely expensive. I got a scone with jam and cream and it was £5.85. So cappuccino and scone was over £9!! Server was unfriendly. Coffee was really poor, thin and bitter. It looks nice but I'll not be back.

£7.45 for a coffee & tray bake that wouldn't have fed a mouse! Coffee was very nice but ridiculous prices.

We waited 45 minutes for soup, wrap and 2 bruschetta. One dish then arrived but no others!! We waited several minutes then had to ask a member of staff where the rest was which was then brought out 10 minutes after the first. The food was not fully heated, greasy and very overpriced. A member of my family couldn’t eat their whole dish and luckily for her she didn’t as we found a hair in her lunch !!! A refund was given but will not be back, very disappointed.

This was the first time I visited this place,and it won't be the last. The food first class and service the same.

Worst experience! Got squirted with D10 by the guy who was cleaning tables! Waited over 40 minutes for soup and quiche. When complained to server, she checked her watch to confirm we were telling the truth. One word apology and still charged us for the tea. Poor customer service and advise to avoid.

Delicious food and reasonably priced

Always impressed by this wee spot, but Saturday past was served frozen chips with my chili chicken wrap, was gutted. Always loved the big fat chunky chips, need to get back to them, other than that it was great.

Very slow service. Waited 40 minutes for our food. Had to box it and take it with us. Desserts were large, but tasteless.

I was in with my family today getting lunch, the food is standard but very expensive it’s not worth the price definitely not - for 2 wraps and a slice of quiche it was near £40!!! The staff are nice and I then went to grab knives and forks and when I got back to the table there was food left on the cutlery and they knives and forks where stinking which turned my stomach as they clearly weren’t cleaned right or checked over before sitting them out for the public to use!! I’ve been a few times here but I’ll not be back for lunch. I’ll just stick to looking around the shop…

Love a visit to Alanna Interiors, lovely Ladies Department, beautiful home wares and furniture. A trip to the cafe never disappoints 😊

Told to sit at table and someone would come to take my order. Then waiting 10 mins told by another member of staff I had to order at counter. Better communication needed between staff. Got up and left as the queue had got linger.

Visited today as its a recommended supplier of Franklite lights 🤔....none on display except for the 4 or 5 pendants hidden behind the hanging rugs in the corner of the showroom, which I presume are only there to light up the rugs. I think it's about time they contacted Franklite to advise them that they are no longer a recommended supplier of their lights.... Ps, I've visited other light showrooms and I can say that Franklite lights are highly innovative in their design and performance and its a pity I drove many miles to Alana interiors to see their lights, only to find NONE on show, despite their website 🤬

Lovely place, just wish they had a vegan scone I could enjoy. The normal scones looked fantastic though, and my friend enjoyed hers very much 😀 Thank you for having oat milk for my coffee, that was great 👍

Husband and I went in for lunch a couple of months ago. Very poor choice of veggie options so my husband decided on the pancakes with fruit. Only he got pancakes with 2 blueberries and 2 bits of banana. My chicken wrap was very nice. I messaged Alana about their poor veggie options but have yet to receive a reply. When we were leaving someone was cleaning tables, only they didn’t really clean the tables and left crumbs all over it and wiped one side with a dirty cloth

Great to get a nice present and for everyday things, has most things for the house Not as good now for household stuff, mainly suites of furniture, a few beds and bits and a whole floor of clothes, only pricy decorations stuff.

Change of interior - even better, Delicious breakfast- French toast...

New coffee shop very busy which reflects how decent this place is. Original upstairs area also in vogue. Food never disappoints! Excellent choice of desserts. If I was to offer some criticism it would be that upholstery in upstairs area needs renewing.

Took my aunt to celebrate her 90th Birthday. Staff were very accommodating and reserved a table . Amazing home cooked cuisine and the home made sweet treats 😋.

My elderly Mother and I visited the Alana cafe on Sat for Brunch. Whilst the setting inside the cafe is lovely, the staff very friendly, the service good and the quality of the food good (nothing outstanding), it was the portion size that was totally ridiculous!! My Mother ordered the pancakes with bacon from the breakfast menu. It was 1145am and they stop serving breakfast at 1200. Her meal came without any bacon and I drew this to the attention of the waitress. She apologiesd and said pancakes were also on the light bite menu at a cheaper price without bacon! She checked my till receipt then brought two slides of bacon on a side plate. The size of the pancakes was totally ridiculous and would have been better suited to a toddler!! There were three extremely small flat pancakes with two slices of very overcooked/hard bacon. I was shocked at how small the portion size was and would have complained but my Mother didn't want to draw attention or to wait on a replacement meal as she needed eat. It was just a well she doesn't have a big appetite because the meal was totally unacceptable for half the price. Looking around at the deserts, portion size doesn't look to be an issue normally, with many large slices of cakes on display, so I'm not sure why in this instance the size and quality wasn't up to standard. I would happily have accepted the meal that is displayed on some photo's on Trip Advisor but unfortunately that wasn't what we were served.

Tried out new cafe. Definitely better now you go up and order and pay after you've been allocated a table. Avoids mass queuing of people paying bill or waiting for table. Bruchetta was gorgeous but huge portion for a lunch. Half would have been plenty. Partner had toastie. Sadly v disappointing. Poor presentation, half toasted bread and loaded with too much ham rendering it dry. Service was average. Pleasant enough young staff, but lacking initiative. Overloaded table with plates and cups and when delivered coffees, no offer to clear table to make room. Not sure about the uncovered floor . Bit warehouse feel. But others perhaps think it's very modern. All in all a bit disappointing but would return for coffee and tray bake.

Breakfast food is lovely and coffee is good. Baked goods nice too. Only downside the average age is 95, blue rinse brigade central. I suppose theyre the only ones with any cash. Not much of an atmosphere.

Alanas is a fantastic place to meet friends for a coffee or have a delicious lunch. The food is amazing and afterwards you can brouse the home department or the ladies boutique where you are sure to leave with something. The atmosphere is friendly and warming and particularly in the ladies department where, if you are assisted by Briege or Donna, nothing is too much hassle. These ladies go out of there way to help and they make the experience even more special. Definately a place we would recommend you visit. Betty, Nicola, Katrina

Pleasant service from our waitress, food came quite quickly. Ordered 2 cooked breakfasts and 1 French toast. Nice food but a bit overpriced.

I was not impressed with a staff member handling and buttering a scone for a customer without wearing hygiene gloves She had fake tan and false nails. It did it represent good practice in food hygiene standards …

Coffee shop with breakfast/ brunch menu. Prices are not cheap but portions are well proportioned. Very good service, free WiFi, toilets, hygiene.

Fabulous clothes that you don't see everywhere and it's really helpful and inspiring to see the outfits put together and modelled by your lovely ladies . Also vey helpful when I wanted to amend my online order. So happy to support a family business just wished I lived near you.

Soup was like a bowl of gruel Ava when given feedback the manager says ok I will take 10% off the bill, not even an apology. Wouldn’t be back.

Biggest piece of lemon meringue I have seen, alongside big scones. Enjoyable.

All the girls are very helpful in the clothes department they are honest and very efficient! Nothing more mum and I love to try on and get a new outfit… amazing stock and of course the coffee shop is worth a visit too 😊. Furniture staff are very knowledgeable too, Alana offers the whole package!

Had a lovely breakfast in Alana interiors last week, My other half Granola with fresh fruit and I had the French toast with maple syrup , Both meals where beautiful very tasty and we'll presented, The staff are very friendly and helpful, Prices are average for a cafe, plenty of seating but can get busy which is always a good sign that the food is good, Would definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch even just for a relaxing cuppa ☕ at reasonable prices.

Used to really like this place but now very overpriced and poorly organised. I asked a waitress what the soup of the day was but she didn’t know and made no attempt to find out - FYI Kale and Stilton soup is nothing to write home about! I used to enjoy looking around the shop but there’s very little to see now - just overpriced furniture. Genuinely disappointed.

Alana's is a beautiful homewares and women's clothing store with a lovely cafe inside. Great for meeting up with friends for a coffee and cake. Also good for lunch. Very busy so be prepared for a queue if you are going for lunch.

Food is always great love this restaurant however, this is the third time our food was brought out separately. We come to have lunch together, husbands scone and coffee eaten before my soup arrived 15 minutes later.

Visited on Saturday afternoon and it was incredibly busy so had a short wait and a bit of miscommunication regarding ordering and paying for food however I would go back at a less busy time the coffee was good however the desserts looked absolutely fabulous if your partial to a little overindulgence. Reasonably priced as well.

It's a great place...cafe is amazing..portions are generous and nearly everything i tried taste amazing! However, clothing is too expensive!

Our first ever visit here..21st Sept approx 2pm.... - Shop wonderful.. Restaurant- Poor, apart from 1 x young lady. Who smiled lots when serving. (Had a hair bun). Food prep being carried out in the seating area..Jam into tubs and this person began shouting to counter staff, then dropped some tubs on the floor, left them for someone else to pick up, this same person then threw what looked like a chip at the counter staff ! What is going on here .. such a nice shop, high end experience spoilt by a few but blatantly obvious issues.. Will not visit again if this is their normal ! Make no mistake, The Actual shop is wonderful to view and be in.. Restaurant Management..a whole other matter altogether - needs reining in... Good luck, given the shops client base it needs to happen...

Good selection of furniture and friendly staff

Not impressed…at all. We called in for breakfast at appx 10.40am on15th June 2022. Ordered full fry costing £10.25 and Scrambled egg, bacon x1, sausage x1 and toast, which came to £8 (pictures attached). I had asked for a hard fried egg with full fry, came out runny, so had to send back. Very small portion of scrambled eggs, delivered with very pale toast. Had to ask for salt (only 1 sachet in container on table) and scrambled eggs delivered without any butter for the toast. Overall meal was just about warm, appears as if cooked early that morning and kept warm drying everything all up, potato bread overcooked and dry, soda extremely tough and dry, would have needed a steak knife to cut through the bacon it was so hard, sausage also overcooked. Only thing on my plate that was nice was the cherry tomatoes and eventually the hard fried egg. Prices for what we got were rather expensive, have been in other places that are much more reasonably priced and also had a lovely lovely meal. This was our first visit to Alana Lighting café, and it will be our last.

Finally got to have a spot of lunch here It was very busy when we visited. The chicken and broccoli bake was absolutely delicious ..... Thank you

Staff ignore you when you walk in. Could tell they where busy but defiantly should have acknowledged or said I’ll be with you shortly” rather than blanking the customer. All we ordered was toast and granola . After 40 minutes the food still hadn’t arrived. Had to get up and say something. Not very impressed.

My wife rates this establishment for fashion & household furnishing requirements.

I like a good fry up but on this occasion I had to pass due to the exuberant cost. £9.50 for a fry plus £2.35 for your refreshment of Tea. That's a whopping £11.85. You might say but Mars this is the normal cost for the belly buster or the biger breakfast and indeed you may be right (although the price is still higher end) however there was no small/standard or make your own options to supplement. Instead of the fry I opted for the pancake stack which was delicious. My dear wife had the white chocolate and raspberry scone which was excellent as well. I will return to try the fry once they catch a grip of themselves and lower the price. I don't believe the cost is covid related - they've had spare dough not just to bake with but to refit and reorganise the shop, add another cafe - which is drafty and acquire fancy new tablets for all their staff to take your order - id rather have a cheaper fry written in pen on an order pad!

Had lunch with friends on 23/11/2021 but was EMBARRASED. CHIPS were cold all 9 of them £0.50. STEAK turned out to be a steak pasty you could buy in supermarket for £1. small pot of blue coleslaw £0.60.,felt sorry for my overseas friends having heard good reports about cafe. I think i have been somewhat over charged as meal steak dinner cost £9.60 the time waiting for dinner 40 mins after order being taken puts cafe in a bad light hence i will not be going back please take what you like from this review.

Very nice staff pleasant and helpful.Went for lunch and as a vegan there was nothing for me to eat.Ended up as usual with chips. Great coffee however. ☕ But my friend and I were both cold.

The wife dragged me down here to look at furniture..but despite my grumbling I was impressed with the coffee and a very good selection of furniture 👍

Was there with the in-laws, most of the food was great, the portions were massive and the only gripe food wise was that one of the dishes was too salty, like wayyyy too salty. As for the toilets, although they were clean both toilets were out of toilet paper and when I asked the 1st member of staff she said she'd sort it and then went off and took someone's order, the 2nd member of staff however got it sorted right away. The lift in the store is also a bit small so if your taking up a person in a wheelchair you may need to breathe in.

Really nice store. Great staff. Friendly and professional. That was 2 years ago. June 2021, HOLY SMOKE, what has happened here????. Food prices in the restaurant have rocketed. I WONT BE BACK. It wasn't worth it. I can get better for a lot less cost.

Visited Alana this afternoon down stairs. Was not impressed Cold coffee how hard is it to serve hot coffee and also know how to charge for Deserts. Watched as girl with dark hair served carry out, spilt desert on floor and over menus at end of counter didnt bother to clean up. How unprofessional.

A very busy café so certainly popular. Hot chocolate could have been a bit more chocolately and sweeter for my taste. A friend got a sweet chilli chicken panini which they said was nice but it was an extremely limited menu with no vegan options but maybe once they can full open indoors from tomorrow their menu will be a bit more expansive. A wide range of sweet treats otherwise.

Very good stop and go coffee shop downstairs, which a lot of people were so glad of. And also girl running it was fantastic with great patience and manners

Great variety of gift ideas, reasonably priced furniture, restaurant upstairs, good range for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. Recently opened coffee dock downstairs to reduce waiting times in restaurant a very good idea. Lift to upstairs area. However if you use a wheelchair and are going clothes shopping best to go at quiet times for ease of access at rails. Really well worth a visit

Visited shop this morning travelled from Ballymena.found staff unfriendly and unhelpful.was looking for a mat dark haired assistant didn't seem to have time brushed us off.such a difference from retail staff in Ballymena.

We had a lovely afternoon at Alana interiors, staff were so helpful & lunch was really delicious in the beautiful restaurant. Will be back again soon.
