Synge & Byrne Rushmere in Craigavon

Just ordered a vanilla latte as I wasn't hungry but looking at the food on display I have to say I was tempted! The coffee is very good. Nice friendly staff and clean premises.

Amazing service staff constantly out cleaning tables and lifting dirty dishes. Coffee was delish and the caramel square was amazing

Lovely pre-prepared sandwich selection and I must have been gasping for a cuppa as the tea was fabulous! Much needed. Loved the mug and teapot. Really fancied taking them home - I didn’t lol

Was out shopping with my elderly grandparents and needed somewhere to eat. Everywhere else was busy so we decided to try here. As we entered this place I told my grandparents too sit down and I would get the food to save them standing and let them rest. As they sat down we got screamed at by a lady behind the counter saying we needed to buy food first before we could sit down as we cant reserve seats. Now for a start, my grandparents are nearly nearly 90 and they needed somewhere to sit, so I thought she would be more considerate but apparently not. Secondly I understand that reserving seats could mean customers ready to sit won't have a seat but there was 5 others in there at the time and no-one else was coming in. Absolutely appalling behaviour especially towards an elderly couple... Got up and left absolutely disgusted by her behaviour and customer service "skills".

Wouldn’t serve us due to needing gluten free!! Couldn’t believe it! Dirty and noisy not a nice atmosphere anyway so we left and won’t bother going back

The attitude of the staff in this establishment leaves lot to be desired. Brought my family in at 16.00 yesterday, went to the counter after getting my family seated (at an uncleared dirty table). I asked for a soup and the response I got was a sharp "none left". We were trying to see what we would like when the older lady in charge came out and said " whatever is sitting there is all that's left, we've been flat out from 9 this morning"! We were made to feel an inconvenience as customers. I will never return to this place and if I were the manager I'd be doing a few training sessions to ensure the staff know the meaning of customer service! Would not recommend.

Saturday lunch time so yes it'll be busy, but people were having to clear tables themselves, so we got a very sticky, dirty table with food and cutlery under our feet. Asked for breakfast bap as two were sitting pre made in cabinet along with other sandwiches and wraps. Was told not available as after 12 and then it looked like the 2 breakfast baps went in the bin rather than heat up. A ciabatta and 3 ham and cheese toasted sandwiches filled us all up and that's all can say about the food.

The most disgusting dirty place I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Felt dirty sitting at the table. The floor was cleaner than the table but not by much. Dirty mouldy food encrusted between the tables. Crockery looks like it hasn't been washed properly for a few months. Would be safer eating off a toilet seat! Needless to say, we did not stay!

Was in this morning to meet a friend. Staff absolutely delightful, so friendly and helpful. So refreshing. Food and coffee lovely. I'll defo be back.

this is a good cafe. the staff are very friendly and there is a good selection of food. BUT they play the back ground music TOO LOUD and we cannot hear ourselves talk. Sorry maybe I am a grumpy old man but I say it as I see it.

I would like to share my first experience with Synge &Byrne in rushmere. I visited restaurant on Saturday and was so warm welcomed at the door. Restaurant was very busy but service was very professional and outstanding. Myself and my husband weren't sure what to choose from menu but the girl(dark hair,bob cut style) behind the counter suggested few options and we were delighted coz food was very good. Food was fresh, hot, well prepared and th girl who brought food for us was high pregnant but extremely pleasant and with manners. We will definitely come back.

I am very disappointed. The cafe shop, which should be open until 6pm, closes even before 4pm. even if you arrive before 4pm you won't get hot food, just what is already done before. After all, people often go for coffee after work. It is also rude as I have noticed recently that the blinds are lowered when there are people inside, often at 3.30pm the blinds have already been lowered a bit. This behavior is given to people who are sitting at the table to understand that it is time to leave. People who are walking by and want to get in for a coffee or a piece of cake should not come in .

Not the best but not the worst.

Large Americano Coffee ordered inside and served in a takeaway cup. Almond Cherry slice was dry, and staff not very friendly. Go to professional Costas.

Lovely staff and food was good. I had the roasted Mediterranean veg wrap. 👍

Plenty of variety and you can always build your own sandwich. Try my special : toasted baguette with chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, jalapeños and cheese with your favourite mayo.

O'Briens convenient location and refuelling place to stop. Not the cheapest of places for drinks and snacks but decent atmosphere and friendly staff to help you.

Busy cafe within Centre. Freindly staff. Highly recommend the sandwich and soup offer. Reasonably priced.

Very limited choice at start of lunchtime no plain chicken for sandwiches and none being made. Lady almost whispered when she spoke could barely hear anything. I ordered a tuna melt and the tuna was bone dry and the cheese still unmelted. When I was given my knife and fork there was a hair on it. Lastly my aunt and I shared a tray bake which looked and tasted s couple of weeks old. I've never had an issue with O'Briens always go there but it was dirty today with poor service. Also 3 bottles of chemicals sitting out unattended. This is very dangerous with young children around.

Always eat in O'Brien's hubby loves the triple decker would recommend

Rude service, overcharged on the price on the menu. On two different occasions we have tried this place and been very disappointed with the staff, especially Nikki who was extra abrupt, both times.

Handy for a quick snack and coffee or tea. Nice range of food on offer for a sandwich shop. Good to take on the go or inside. Spacious enough.

Great sandwich bar with a lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches, toasties and the most delicious cakes and traybakes. Staff are really friendly and helpful and they were constantly clearing and cleaning tables even though they were extremely busy taking orders and preparing meals. This place is a wee gem and with free parking at the centre you couldn't ask for more.

Fantastic toasted sandwich and a decent cup of tea. Really helpful staff.
