Aladin Kebabish in Barnet

This is the third time we ordered a large takeaway (over £60) and it has come with items missing. BAD

I honestly have no words for the quality of food they serve and the amazing service!! Their Nihari & Paye are incredibly delicious! Totally remind me of Karachi and the exotic flavourful food! Definitely looking to visit Alladin again as soon as lockdown re-opens, with my family!!!❤️ definitely recommended!

Great menu and really delicious food with affordable prices. Good food and great ambience. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended. Must try nihari, biryani, barbeque and dessert.

I have been visiting many time this restaurant for Typical pakistani food, nihari, Haleem Qorma BIRYANI pulao mix grill are fantastic, one more thing Masala fish and Limca drink absolutely delicious. This is only restaurant in London which mention pakistani cuisine and put big picture of our hero Mohammed Ali Jinnah.my advise to all tourists of Pakistan they must visit this restaurant.

This Restaurant was recommended by 2 people in the last 2 days, one was my son the other a Pakistani Foodie.I would not have gone otherwise to be honest.So long story short, this is my second Pakistani Restaurant meal in a week, this was the better of the 2, which was a huge surprise.Restaurant is on West Hendon Broadway, a corner site, proudly halal & not too far from the local mosque.The above should tell you about the clientele, we were not their typical diner, which may explain the lack of service or Covid 19 precautions.The menu was rather on the large size so we ordered light.Some kebabs, Onion bhajis, Vegetarian & Lamb Birianie.Was surprised by the meal as the bar was set so low, the Restaurant has zero ambience, next to no service and numerous staff walking around talking loudly in their own language !!Kebabs were ok, Onion Bhajis were not.Birianies were interesting especially the sambar style sauce which was served as an accompaniment.On the whole I would recommend Aladdin for a quick cheap eat but like many Pakistani Restaurants don't expect to be appreciated or served.

Salí a cenar con la familia. La comida era buena, sin embargo, hubo un problema con un plato de pollo. Le planteamos esto a la gerencia, pero se pusieron a la defensiva y fueron groseros, ¡y nos acusaron de intimidar y mentir! Esto nos sorprendió porque solo estábamos dando comentarios. Se negaron a aceptar nuestros comentarios y repetían: "los clientes pueden estar equivocados y nosotros no cometemos ningún error". En general, muy decepcionado con su reacción, ya que no es así como se debe tratar a los clientes. No volveremos a visitarlo.

Primera vez que prueba este restaurante esta noche (11. 03. 20). La comida estaba bien, al igual que el servicio (aunque no nos dieron las gracias al final después de pagar, no hubo golosinas, así que un poco seco). También me cobraron de más por el arroz pilau y las dos porciones de arroz que pedimos fue de 7. 00 por dos porciones pequeñas (suficiente para solo 1), así que definitivamente no es una buena relación calidad-precio al precio solo por el arroz. Cada vez que he comido en un restaurante indio (mi comida estilo favorito) las porciones de arroz siempre han sido más grandes. El Chana Masala también tenía un aspecto gris y no era apetitoso, por lo que solo se comió parcialmente. El ajo nan era bueno aunque bastante delgado. En general, personalmente no lo recomendaría.

Este lugar es la joya más nueva en mi lista de cocina auténtica. Teníamos cordero al curry y cordero sindi biryani, samosas vegetarianas, arroz hervido, pan naan y lassi de mango. El curry era fantástico, biryani muy sabroso (tuve el estilo sindi por primera vez), pan naan delicioso, lassi fresco y no abrumador con azúcar, arroz y samosas eran buenos. Absolutamente vale la pena visitar para disfrutar de una excelente comida auténtica.

He estado yendo aquí por años y debo admitir que nunca han comprometido su comida o servicio. Cada visita es tan buena como la anterior. Absolutamente me encanta el Karachi haleem y bihari boti y el cordero Sindhi biriyani es demasiado bueno. Para lavar todo esto, debes probar el refresco de limca, que es muy refrescante y excelente para digerir la comida. Después de todo esto si tienes espacio (siempre espacio para el desierto) debes probar el Kheer que te llevará de regreso a Pakistán. El ambiente es brillante y te sientes como en casa en algún lugar de Pakistán. Además, si tienes suerte, también puedes toparte con una celebridad dePakistán o India. La administración es excelente y crédito al personal amable siempre rápido y servicial. Seguid así.

Went without much thinking as a friend suggested. Authentic Pakistani food. Nice ambience Non alcoholic. Good service Toilets can be better. Overall I was happy and will return. Careful with parking

After reading review about Haleem and Nihari I went down and ordered both. Food was served hot and haleem was very nice. Nihari was OK. Meat was tender as I would expect. I've been to Muhammadi Nihari in Lahore and if that's 9/10 then Aladin's nihari is 5/10. It is still nice compared to the rest of the restaurants in the UK i've been to but lacks the authentic taste and was a bit runny compared to a proper nihari. Portion sizes were decent.Naan was for £1 each but it was very small. It's a way of making more money by making customers buy more naans. They cost very less which means more profit margin. Or maybe it's the price you pay in London. I am not from there so I am not sure.Service was terrible. I have never seen such bad service. They lack a manager and people should know their roles and stick to them. There was no structure and no procedures. Everyone was doing everything. For example I called a waiter to order more naans she looked at and started walking towards me and half way through she got distracted by some customers walking in and i had to find another waiter. This is just one example which is enough to give you an idea.Tip: Because service was bad and everyone was running around like headless chickens. To avoid delay in my order after placing order I kept reminding them of myself and my order by asking them every 5 minutes how long it would take. It worked and I was served when the food got ready. Otherwise I am sure they would have forgotten about me and I would have been served cold food.Conclusion: If you want to have a good stress free dining experience, don't go there. Probably go to Nandos. But if you are like me and as long as food in nice you don't really care about service then please do visit. their food is much better than many Pakistani restaurants in the UK.

We visited at very quiet time 6.30pm and a party of 11 people, was so disappointed with the service and especially the Nihari. This is my 3rd visit and maybe my last, im so sure the chef has changed as the nihari was not the same. The colour of the nihari and the texture was so thick, tasted horrible. Even had the guts to tell the staff and made a special visit to tell the chef, and his only answer was ok. The toilets were a disgust, service slow. My son had a half full drink left in his can and the waiter whilst cleaning our table picked it up without asking if he had finished. A real disappointment, im sure the chef has changed and Aladdin is not the same. A real shame and such a disappointment on all areas, to service, food, toilets and general welcome feel.

Our second visit to this Pakistani Restaurant which serves authentic food. The Nihari and Haleem are famously good. We also had some Reshmi kebabs which were also delicious. Better to go at non-peak times to avoid long waiting times; the speed of service we received was excellent; however not very attentive staff. Also the washrooms are filthy. Food is great, so wash your hands before you go, take some wet wipes and have low/no expectations of the staff and you’ll be fine.

Extremadamente decepcionado con el servicio, fuimos a tomar un desayuno indio después de preguntar varias veces por qué habíamos estado esperando tanto tiempo. Solo para que me digan que está en camino o en más de una ocasión. Finalmente se nos acabó la paciencia y decidimos irnos y pagar nuestras bebidas solo para que nos dijeran que habían perdido el pedido. Nos pidieron que esperáramos unos minutos, lo cual hice a regañadientes. No fuimos compensados por el tiempo que habían desperdiciado e incluso la disculpa fue poco entusiasta. No recomendaría este lugar ya que el servicio es pésimo.

The taste is excellent. Food is just like it tastes in Pakistan. Medium spicy. Excellent nihari kebabs etc. ice cream tastes excellent too.

Walked in, not greeted as expected. Did not feel welcome. First of all it’s cash only, but it’s ok because they have a cash machine which costs money to withdraw your own money from. On arrival after sitting down, we asked for poppadoms for starters and we’re given some lettuce, onions and tomatoes? We then ordered our main course. A bowl of chips was brought out first, 15 minutes before our actual meals, so the chips was cold by then! When the food arrived, the people serving had no idea at all what was what, a man serving even said after we asked what the dish was “I think something like chicken tikka masala or something like that” and it tasted nothing like chicken tikka masala at all. No alcohol is allowed in the premises or to be served, no VAT receipt was given after the meal. We was given a spoon with our Currys and that was all, there were knives and forks placed on other tables but we weren’t even given those.

Fuimos a almorzar por primera vez. El lugar se ve bien. Muchos hombres detrás del mostrador y los camareros, pero nadie quiere hacer nada. Tenía Nihari (muy bueno), haleem (mediocre) y Kebab (aburrido y sin sabor). Naan y roti estaban calientes, pero tuvieron que volver a preguntar para obtenerlos. Nadie interesado en limpiar la mesa y sacar los platos. Roti viene sin placas laterales, así que no saben cómo esperan que la gente sostenga roti. Este lugar no sobreviviría en ninguna área competitiva. No hacen café ni té verde y te sugieren que vayas a un restaurante al lado para tomar té verde. estrategia interesante!

A principios de este año, un amigo y yo tropezamos con Aladin después de un largo paseo. Paramos para un almuerzo que incluía namak mandi, sag aloo y ajo naan. Disfrutamos de todo. El plato recién hecho de naan y cordero fue particularmente memorable y esperaba con ansias volver. Lo hicimos hace un par de semanas y el ajo naan fue de nuevo un destacado. Esta vez teníamos dos platos vegetarianos, daal makhni y bhindi masala. Ambos eran lo suficientemente sabrosos, aunque no parecían alcanzar las alturas del plato vegetariano que teníamos anteriormente. Y para el plato de carne optamos por Karachi nihari en lugar del memorable namak mandi, ya que quería probar un plato de cordero con salsa. Desafortunadamente, encontré la salsa demasiado espesa, hasta el punto de empalagarse. Si esa hubiera sido mi primera comida en Aladin, dudo que hubiera estado saboreando un regreso. Sin embargo, en general es un buen restaurante y así es como lo calificaría (en lugar de "promedio" como lo he hecho), pero TripAdvisor no tiene "bueno" como opción para una calificación general.

We have visited again and the Nihari and the Heleem never disappoints us ..Love to visit there again and again . The meal finishes with Meetha Pan ,Remind me karachi .. All good the staff are all very professional ..

My family and i come here quite alot. My dad and cousins are a big fan of the food. However, my dad and cousins aren't comfortable with the way the male waiters stare at the women in our family. They're actually considering whether to bring us back to this place as a family. Please have some respect. We are someones wife, daughter, mother, sister and etc. Surely you would not like someone staring at the women in your family. Is this not meant to be a family restaurant? Anyways in terms of cleanliness, I can't judge the kitchen as I did not see it but when i went to the toilet there was poo and pee all over the floor and toilet. I judge a restaurant not only on food but how clean the toilets are. This place has alot or potential because of how good the food is. Service is okay. We had to call the waiter a few times. When our food did come it wasn't cold but nice and hot. We did notice a few customers who came after us were being served first. We came to the conclusion these customers maybe their old friends. Anyways like I said the place has alot of potential just needs to fix up a bit.

I have been very waiting 20min to get sauce for my already cold chips, and realise after wait that sauce wasn’t available ! i have been served lamb instead of chicken and I am ALLERGIC!! The staff was completely useless , very poor customer service . Extremely disappointed

Escuché mucho sobre sus platillos de autor, como Nihari, Haleem y paaya, probamos todos los platillos y debo decir que no encontré la comida tan increíble que diría tan normal como lo que podemos conseguir en Southall Broadway. t tiene que ir tan lejos El servicio era un poco lento pero amable y el costo de la comida era bastante razonable. Alguien mencionó que deberíamos ir a almorzar la próxima vez, pero no estoy convencido de que deba irme. Pero si alguna vez estamos en esa área, entonces podríamos intentarlo.

Just been for brunch. Really good halwa & chana with the puris (not too greasy). The nihari was good. The haleema was excellent. Disappointed that there was no desi or pink tea to wash it down afterward.

Some of the food we had deserves 5 stars in terms of flavours - I scored 4 because of the need to chase one of the dishes that I think had been forgotten about and the Dahl and tandoori naan got a bit cold by then.

If there is one place where I never get bored to go to then it is Aladin Kebabish. If you want to experience an authentic food experience of Karachi Pakistan then there is no better option then this place in London. Infact, in UK. Three dishes you need to order when you visit.

We went there while searching for halal food and it was super. Helpings were big. They gave us a free refill of salad too. Lassi was also great. nehari is a must try.

Without a doubt the best Nihari and haleem i have had in London. Prices are reasonable too. They’ve reduced portion size now but not too much. Over all a good place for desi food.

I had a best Nihari in this restaurant, definitely recommended, other dishes are also fine but if visiting first time go for nihari

Solo hemos contado desde aquí antes pero takaways visitamos con mi marido y tres años para la cena. A mi hija le encantó el tanque. El personal era amable y eficiente. Mi pollo a la mantequilla era delicioso y mi marido cordero biriyani también era muy buena. Sin duda recomendaría y visita de nuevo.

This is the nearest you can get in london for karachi specialities of Nihari, Haleem and korma. My only feedback is that authentic karachi Nihari is of beef meat not lamb which is quite key to the flavour. Also Bihari Kebabs don’t have gravey and should only be bar b qued. Overall great dine in experience, well maintained restaurant, trained and courteous staff. They also have a corner with many Pakistani celebrities and cricket stars pictures, which is quite a change to find in london. They also do reservations for parties which is good since they moved to the new location on Hendon high street.

The food is very good but their service is bad thats why the low rating. asked for lamb on the bone it took them 30 min to come back and advise they had run out. Improve the service and your restraunt will be excellent

Nos registramos en el hotel Heathrow para coger nuestro vuelo de vuelta a casa a Phoenix mañana por la mañana. He vivido en Londres unos 20 años atrás. Nuestro lugar favorito para Pakistán, la del norte de la India en esos tiempos era Lahore Karahi en Southall. Visité el lugar en mi última visita hace dos años y fue terriblemente decepcionado.

Absolutamente horrible. Fuimos para una cena familiar en una ocasión especial y era simplemente malo.

Vine aquí para el famoso Kebab, y bihari fue inmediatamente decepcionados con él. Simplemente cocidas de bits de Cordero en un genérico mezcla masala. ¿Cuál es el problema? ?

Primera vez aquí y no me decepcionó. La comida era deliciosa y muy rápido, aunque el personal no era muy atento. Por desgracia el kebab Bihari no estaba disponible pero que no darán lo había dejado sin cargo. Fue muy buena, húmeda y no duro.

Came across this restaurant by chance when visiting Hendon. The food was ok and their signature Nihari dish was one of the best I've had in a UK restaurant. However,I wasn't best pleased when they tried to double charge for the drinks, and then not even offering an apology after being found out. I'm sure they tried it on deliberately.

Always drove past the area and wanted to try one of the curry places on the street. Wandered into this place as on a dank Jan Wednesday evening. This place was full whereas the other places were virtually empty. We ordered the Karahi lamb and chicken vindaloo. It's probably not your organic best cuts of meat, but stewed in the sauces, the meat was delightful in the sauce. We saw most ppl ordering the nirhari, so shall definitely try that next time. It's not a fancy place and quite basic. The food however, is brilliant- deep, flavourful curries with sauces that just beg to be mopped up with naan and rice.

We went as a family 15 of us, our reserved table was nicely located all together. Coming to the service and dishes it was very good, nice warm plates with well cooked dishes (even my both my grans complimented it as well). From their nahari, haleem to their masala fish, all were well seasoned and served in good portion. The only let down which is not their fault is parking their is bit of an issue, so you need to look around. Overall a very good restaurant and one Ill be visiting again.

Awful. The restaurant is in a new premises since we last went there. It now has the ambience of an operating theatre with bright overhead lights and too-small white plastic tables all squashed next to each other. Service was terrible, all our dishes arrived at different times and took half an hour to 40 minutes. Plates a bit dirty. Food itself was quite tasty but horribly expensive. Lamb curry for £7.50 was six bits of lamb in a dish of gravy. Tandoori chicken was almost incinerated. Dessert menu had about four choices that were all similar and looked horrible (we declined). Cost £50 for our family of two adults and two children, but three of us were still hungry afterwards. I will not be going there again.

I love this place but admittedly only kept to the karachi specialities. My work friends love it too. It's my birthday soon so looking forward to another visit there soon ia

Looking at this restaurant you would be put off. I was many a times until one day I went in. Dined in and was taken back how basic it is was open minded and yes fab!So the quality of the food is fabulous and this is one the best authentic Pakistani restaurants. Fresh hot food, hot roti or nan as you eat. Great lassi and the kheer dessert is delicious. Def visit here... Great food at reasonable prices. Decor and restaurant dated but don't mind that as was great.

Don't expect much from the service here. It isn't great/attentive. However the Paya and haleem and nihari is the best I have ever tasted, beaten only by my mum's versions! And that's saying something believe me. Even my notoriously difficult to please mother said this place 'has no comparison/competitor' when it comes to nihari, Paya and haleem. Don't waste your money on other things. Order those and have fun. No alcohol served here and no bring your own thank God. It's a nice family establishment

Nihari was awesome. Definitely one of the best in London. Rest of the food was medicate. Oh, the sweet lassie was awesome too.

This place serves the best Nihari in England and is out of this world. We then ordered Falooda which was Excellent as well. The kids loved it.Excellent Food !!!

If you like haleem and Nehari then this is the best place to eat as they have same taste as you find at back home I always enjoy their food and their friendly customer service they also make Pori halwa at the weekend it's halal and family friendly so go for it

I took my family to Aladin for iftar recently and whilst the food was delicious we had to wait around 30 minutes for our meal to arrive. We were given dates to break our fast at 9.20pm but had to wait until 9.45 for our mains. This is despite having booked our tables in advance and pre-ordered our meals. I explained to the waiter and his reply was 'brother I have been fasting too'. Other issues were to do with the fact our naans arrived later than the mains, it took the staff ages to get our drinks and refill our water and they don't accept card payments which I find ridiculous. I doubt my family will ever visit them again but if we do get a craving for their food we will definitely be ordering a take away.

Lovely food eaten here on a few occasions now. Had the chicken karahi and lamb karahi dish and had no complaints. Customer service could be a lot better was a little slow especially as their not even that busy. But the good food will always bring me back.

OMG! . I felt like I was sitting back home in Karachi. Chicken Qorma was amazing. I wish I could have tried all of their dishes. Next time I am in London, I will definitely be eating there

Went there for treat from a friend. The food tasted great, like what you would expect from a cafe/restaurant in pakistan. Cleanliness needs to be addressed and so is the service style.

Okay so I'll kick off with the bad stuff, unorthodox yes but I want to save the best for the end.- Service is virtually substandard in all aspects! Funny enough I said that because the first time I went there I was thrilled by the very thing! - Atmosphere/Ambient is just better than a Kebab joint.- They don't take card payment, cash machine at the premises dispense £50 as a minimum and is usually tits up. Nearest cash machine is a good 15-18 min walk (both ways) away!- Toilet facilities aren't very well kept and poorly stocked!- No Music, No Alcohol, And No BYOB!Now the best bits!- The taste and I'd say again, THE TASTE! Certain dishes (Nihari, Karachi Korma, Haleem) taste like party in your mouth! Nihari meat literally fell off the bone! Rest is also better than bigger names i.e. the one around Commercial Road and one on Fieldgate Street. I have, since discovering this hidden gem, introduced Aladin Kebabish to many of my friends and work colleagues, they all agree that nothing beats Aladin when it comes to authentic taste! (My South Asian friends were simply swayed away in amazement)- The Value - 3-4 people and you'd spend just under £40 for a 3 course meal (portions are a little on the large size mind you)- The location - Hendon Central (Northern Line - Edgware side) is 3 bus stops away, Hendon Station (National Rail - from Kings X) at about 4 min walking distance. If you drive there for dinner you can easily find free parking at the back side of the restaurant at 2 min walking distance, during the day time parking restrictions applies but with easy payments via mobile app and @ 2.50 for 2 hours it's very acceptable.- It can save you money too! I took a couple I bought a car from to Aladin - and whilst the entire entire meal costed me £30, it saved me £100 on the car price and earned me a couple of good friends too!

We are regular customer at this Resturent from many years and my friends and family love their Nharri and haleem they served with fresh naan its family friendly Resturent and staff is very helpful I recommend this Resturent so come and have their food with fresh sweet lassi and enjoy they also do many more dishes

Having heard rave reviews about this place in West Hendon, we decided to go along on a Sunday for a late lunch to sample what we expected to be proper Pakistani cuisine. What a disappointment. First the place is rather gloomy, like an old fashioned restaurant in a village somewhere. We ordered the Haleem, Chicken Tikka, Mixed Veg Curry, Naan, a coke and a salted lassi. The lassi, which should normally be made from yoghurt, was distinctly milky - we asked the waiter who told us that it was meant to be milky and basically told us we were wrong. We complained for approx 10 mins until another waiter came over and said actually we were right and that they only served this milk based version unfortunately. We sent the drink back and waited for the food to arrive. The Haleem was a major disappointment - first and foremost, it should be served with appropriate traditional garnishes that complement the meal - we had to repeatedly ask for this to be served and it arrived in instalments. It tasted odd and we only ate a spoon of it each. The veg curry was ok, rather oily but edible. The Chicken tikka tasted as if the marinade had come from a box. Again, not bad tasting but hardly authentic food.When the time for paying came, things got interesting. Firstly I was charged for more soft drinks than had been ordered. On a busy day this error is understandable but it was a late afternoon with only two tables occupied. When I asked for a breakdown of the bill because i wanted to check before paying, i was met with attitude from the man at the till. After fussing, he gave me an itemised bill where this drinks error was noticed.Secondly, this place takes cash only BUT they dont tell you this anywhere in the restaurant - not the window, not on the menu, not on the website, not even verbally. When i produced my credit card to pay for this woefully inadequate meal, the guy on the till pointed to a tiny sign ON THE TILL ITSELF that said cash only. He then directed us to a cash point across the road which ended up charging me to take money out - only after I came back did he have the decency to tell me there is a free cash point 5 mins away! I am totally disgusted by the people and the food at this restaurant - poor quality inadequate pakistani food that doesnt even taste authentic topped off with unenthusiastic staff who treat you like you are inconveniencing them when asking for the basics. I will never go back and will actively discourage my friends and family from dining there too.

If you would like to eat an authentic Nehari, this is the place to go. I went there with a group of friends for dinner. We ordered 2 portions of Nehari. The service was very quick. When the Nehari arrived, we thought portions are too big and we won't be able to finish them but it didn't took us long finish the both portions.

Taken there for lunch, and the food was great - not had food like it, has all the usual curry house menu items, but follow the recommendations from the other reviewers and you will have great food and something you would not get the in standard UK curry house. It's not a fancy restaurant, it is a sensible place to eat with great food and really good prices - £8 at most I think it was for a main course.

I have tried and tested Nihari all over London and even manchester.This is the closest you will get to proper Nihari. Its usually busy in there and its mostly urdu speaking people from karachi. (they know what proper taste is)so if thats anything to go by then you must try it out...the korma is fantastic as well... its the traditional korma.... not the muck you get served up in other restaurants....

i been to this restaurant as it was recommended by my friends, service is really nice and their specialty is Nihari and Haleem. i drove around 20 miles and its really worth. one problem they only accept cash. they dont have bar, its proper Karachi style Nihari and Haleem
