10/10! Fantastic team and so welcoming, we started with some cocktails then ordered a couple of items from the main menu to share and it was all delicious! We would highly recommend Alacati and if you are unsure what to order our go to favourite is the Sarma Beyti!

We went there fory father in laws birthday, we had the cold mezecand the seafood platter botheveere excellent. Fish was superb especially the sea bream. The baklava was some of the best I have had. Thoroughly enjoyable meal, excellent staff and good ambience, can't wait to o go back again.

Alacati Grill is the best restaurant in town hands down. The food is always freshly made. I had the kebab yoghurt and the wifey had the chicken wings. Both of them are very good. They have a menu for children and that is also fresh, not frozen and then microwaved. The place has a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of wine or cocktails to choose from. My go to place when friends are in town.

An impromptu visit to Alacati Grill. This establishment has many awards posted over the walls & windows. The owners are obviously proud of this, but we’d heard mixed comments about the food. We did arrive quite late, around 9PM and it wasn’t busy. It is early January and folk are probably staying home just after Xmas. The food was good, although I thought the Guvec lacked taste. Something was missing. It had a lot of chicken but almost tasted like sweet & sour chicken. The accompanying Rice & Salad were good. My Missus had tzatziki, hummus & bread and she thought it was good. The Coffee was also good. There was a very cold draught coming right through the restaurant, so we had to move. In the colder months, I’d recommend sitting to the right of the Front Doors. This is where we moved to. The establishment looks very clean and you can see the Kitchen from the Restaurant. The staff are friendly enough and the restaurant is very nicely decorated in Turkish style. Something is missing though and for me, I think it was the lack of taste in the dish, but don’t be put off by this. Give it a go!

We usually dine in, but disappointed with the food portions when collecting an order containing 3 meals. You don’t expect to cook additional rice yourself when paying £20+ per meal. I likely wouldn’t have gone to the effort of leaving a review if I wasn’t refused the “15% collection discount”, which is clearly visible on the homepage of their website and applied if you attempt to place an order with them on FoodBooking. I say attempt, because I was unable to place an order online as the “complimentary items” option does not allow you to select an item (We only wanted bread…), so decided to place the order over the phone to avoid any complications. Despite trying to explain this to them in person, the only guidance is “You should order online instead”, clearly not interested with the complications of doing so. Won’t bother coming back again, as I’m struggling to understand how this collect order was not eligible for your collection discount…

We’ve been here a few times and it’s always been excellent. The food always tastes fresh, is well cooked, and full of flavour. The restaurant is clean and well looked after, the service is always good

Had a super meal last night, crispy prawns in panko and sucuk to start with their lovely bread & dips. Mains were chicken in a cream sauce and a mixed kebab for me washed down with a really good Turkish white wine. We'd forgotten how good this place is. New year's resolution will be to go more.

We're staying in Chipping warden for a week, visiting from France, and found this place randomly from looking at other reviews. We really recommend. Great good and even better service. The young man serving was very kind and helpful - we even forgot our camera there and he contacted us 🤦🏼‍♀️. The lunch two course menu is good value. Thanks!

We booked a table for 10 for my mum's 85th birthday. The food was excellent and all came punctually. Hannah was friendly, helpful and attentive. Thank you Alacati for a lovely celebration meal. Would highly recommend

Pretty good stuff, meat was exceptionally tender and moist. The salad was extravagant, apart from the truly disgusting and monstrous pomegranate seeds with an unholy texture. Why? WHYYY?

Tried this restaurant today (Saturday, 29th July). First time in there, super impressed. Food was excellent and plenty. Staff were very friendly and took time to talk to us. Only marked 4 for atmosphere but to be fair it was only 5pm so early for evening meals. We will return.

Most delicious Turkish food! From starters to desserts, absolutely devine. Their calamari, platter for 2 and baklava can not be faulted. Definitely worth a visit! At last Daventry has a top quality restaurant. Outstanding menu which catered extensively for the vegetarians in our group as well as the carnivores. Quick service, considering how busy it was, by friendly staff. The food was delicious and we have already booked to visit again.

Food quality is good, standard kababs and various Turkish dishes, great atmosphere, clean and friendly - however overpriced for all dishes, brought us bread & dips which they added to the bill, this should be complimentary as it is in most restaurants or atleast advise that these would be added to the bill. My rating is 6.8/10

Firstly the food was excellent 👌. Then it goes down hill. We arrived for our table on time to be told its not ready yet. Can you come back in 15 minutes, OK we thought no problem. Finally sat down had to wait age's for our order to be taken. Others who sat down and ordered after us got their food before us. When the food arrived it was very good. Others got asked was everything OK would you like another drink etc, not once did we get asked. We even had to wait ages for the bill. Great food , certainly not the greatest service.

Great customer service. One of the workers played a hand drum for a little bit. You can see the chefs making all of the food through a large gap in the wall. The plating was very lovely and all the food was fresh. The cocktails are so beautiful, I had the dragonfruit punch one.

My first time in the Alacati, wanted to go for a while...... Wow!, amazing place, to start the host is very friendly and accommodating, the waiting staff are attentive and friendly too. The food is fantastic, well presented and tasted soooo good. There were 2 birthday groups whilst we were there and a real fuss was made of them. The whole atmosphere was electric. Top marks guys

There were 12 of us; 8 adults and 4 children under 5. We were well looked after from start to finish. Prompt and friendly service without being rushed. Food was excellent from shared platters to prawns to steak to lamb shank. Puddings great, both traditional and more contemporary. We're definitely going back.

This restaurant is unhygienic and unclean. The short version is my daughter’s leg touched the underside of the table, there was a stranger’s sticky, used chewing gum there, which got stuck and ingrained onto her leggings. The restaurant manager has refused to cover the dry-cleaning costs, which amount to £15 (Yes, that’s FIFTEEN POUNDS!). Photos attached…! THE DETAIL… After finding the gum, I notified waiting staff, but apart from being disgusted, they didn't have a procedure for dealing with it, so I asked for a plastic glove and picked the chewing gum off myself. My daughter was very distressed at having a stranger’s sputum-laden chewing gum on her, but there wasn’t much we could do (we were on a mini-break - going home to change wasn't an option), so we waited for our mains, which arrived after 40 minutes! Can’t comment too much on the food as I felt nauseated by the gum, so I only ate a tiny amount. Based on what I tasted, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again! Anyway, I paid fully for the food and drink we ordered. We were offered baklava, and myself and the other adult in the party refused, but my children accepted, and ate it. As I was leaving, I asked if I should invoice the restaurant for the dry cleaning or if I should drop the damaged item off in the morning, with a view that the restaurant would get it cleaned and post it back to me. I was told the manager would call the next day….they didn’t. Two days later, I emailed them to ask for a refund on the dry-cleaning costs, this was refused (“We are unable to do an exchange of cash or receive the trousers for dry cleaning”) with them stating their compensation had been ‘more than fair’. This ‘compensation’ had been an invitation to pop in next time I am in Daventry for a ‘treat’(!), but I had already explained to the manager that I live 1.5 hours away and did not have plans to visit again. After my second email they suggested the chewing gum could be removed with fluff/lint roller (I mean really, who has ever successfully removed chewing gum with a lint roller?). They set out the terms and conditions (you’d think I was asking for £150,000…) in order to pay up, but as of now, they have still not paid the £15 for the dry-cleaning and are quibbling it because it can only be paid into a business account, and they (Alacati Grill) must to be invoiced directly for the dry-cleaning, by the dry cleaning company, not by me. Unfortunately, the dry cleaners’ policy is that they will only accept items that are paid for immediately and they don’t invoice third parties. I did not and do not have the time, money or inclination to drive around attempting to find a dry cleaners that would invoice the restaurant, so I paid myself to get them cleaned (and let’s not forget that driving around – it’s a 24 minute round trip to the dry cleaners – costs petrol money too), so my daughter could have her leggings back to wear. I notified the restaurant of this, along with the dry cleaner’s details and proof of payment (VAT receipt, proof I wasn’t to scamming them, as that’s what it had started to feel like) and asked for a refund on the £15. It feels like I'm demanding a huge payout, but really,I would like the restaurant to admit responsibility and pay for the dry cleaning; I would never have had to pay the £15 if they had cleaned properly, so it all feels so frustrating. I would not recommend a visit to this restaurant, based on the fact that they've shown a complete lack of customer service skills, an unwillingness to take responsibility for negligent cleaning, ignored the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Chapter 4, Section 49(Service to be performed with reasonable care and skill – HA!) and worst of all, refused to pay a meagre sum of £15 to cover the cleaning costs. It's the most appalling customer service I have had the displeasure of experiencing, I would urge anyone who still chooses to eat there to wear plastic or disposable clothing.

We went for supper again last night and the restaurant was buzzing with a great Saturday night atmosphere. Service was professional and prompt and (as always) the owners Pam and Ata were meeting and welcoming customers making everyone feel great. Apart from the lovely setting and ambience the star of the show is the food. We’ve eaten here several times previously and every single time it’s delicious! It’s also such great value too, for the experience you enjoy it’s very reasonably priced. The meat is great quality and cooked / flavoured to perfection, the starters (mixed meze) and sides are fabulous too and it’s genuinely the best Turkish meal we’ve had outside of London (we used to live near the ‘Turkish ladder’ of Green Lanes in London so know beautiful Turkish food! The flavours and presentation are wonderful, and it’s always a lovely night in their pretty restaurant - we can’t wait to go back! Thank you, from Nina Steve and Ella Rose!

Booked the Breakfast with Santa, it was a wonderful experience with a lovely breakfast, photo with Santa and a gift. We have been quite a few times for dinner as the food is amazing so we thought we would try the Santa breakfast and wasn’t disappointed.

Second visit at this place and did not disappoint like first time too. Amazing food and good customer service. Based in Daventry town center, with 3h free car park nearby, it’s perfect place for any occasion

I’ve been to a lot of Turkish restaurants but this has to be the best. Worth coming to Daventry for this. Best food, great service and always the best bet for guaranteed good food.

I've heard lots of good things about this place from many people over the years. Lovely atmospheric restaurant, great food and the waiter (i'm assuming manager or owner?) was very nice and funny. Starter platter for four was lovely, followed by minced chicken kebab then very nice baklava for desert. My friend had chocolate cake for dessert which was dry and didn't look home made though which was the only down side. But very extensive menu, lots to choose from and lovely interior design with nice quirky pieces. I would definitely recommend and be back again!

I visited here a few weeks ago when on a mini break with my daughter and grand daughters. Sadly our evening turned out to be ruined, as my grand-daughter got chewing gum stuck to her leggings because it was stuck under the table, and my daughter ended up having to pick the chewing gum off the leggings, just before eating dinner. As if that wasn't enough to ruin our little break, the restaurant have refused to pay to have the leggings cleaned. First of all said they wouldn’t pay the dry cleaning at all, then said they might, but now have refused to pay (£15). This is because my daughter paid for it herself and then gave the restaurant the VAT bill (and the dry cleaners details, in case they wanted to check), but they are telling her that it’s her fault they won’t pay because they can only pay into a business account and they would only have paid the dry cleaners directly. But the dry cleaner wanted payment upfront so there was no choice in the matter. It's such a shame that they will not take any responsibility for this. Any decent restaurant would have paid the fifteen pounds because they would have recognised it was their fault, even though they might not have meant for it to happen. There’s too much of a blame culture nowdays and when a restaurant blames a customer for damage that they caused, it is a very sad state of affairs.

An amazing experience in a fabulous restaurant in the heart of Daventry High Street. Charming place, great food, service and atmosphere. Real authentic Turkish food cooked in an open kitchen with passion. The owner took time out to speak to us, very pleasant experience. You can't go far wrong if your intention is to enjoy good honest food, prepared freshly that tastes 100% as it should. Highly recommended 👌

Visited on a quiet evening, a Tuesday night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, and very clean. Staff were immediately very accommodating, we arrived with a 3yo and a 6 month old baby and were given a kid's chair. The food was very prompt (although we were the only customers at the time), it was all piping hot and fresh. The flavours were well beyond what we expected. Excellent preparation, presentation and flavours. Portion sizes were just a tad smaller than I had hoped, but I was satisfied after one starter, one main and sharing a dessert. Prices are elevated to meet the level of flavour and presentation, but you are getting what you pay for. Whole meal was a class act, not been at peak times but go on a quiet night and you won't regret it. We spent £80 including tips for two adults and one child. The Baklava is absolutely fire and the chilli sauce is awesome too.

Had high expectations for this place, having heard good things, and it’s safe to say they were met when I dined in here for the first time on Friday evening (have had takeaway once before in the past). I could not fault anything! The interior is beautiful and kept clean, staff are incredibly polite and attentive, and that food… just wow! 🤌🏼 My friend and I (who was visiting Daventry, from Kent, for the first time) are still thinking about the hummus - it was the best we’ve ever had 🤤 Will definitely be back here again. Can’t recommend enough, and feel so lucky to have such a fantastic independent restaurant in the town.

A cracking restaurent! We stopped in Daventry after a holiday on the IOW to break our journey. A warm and sleepy Sunday, we weren't sure we would find anything much. We were wrong! The Alacati Grill was an inviting place, and we were made very welcome! The food was delicious, & the place had a nice vibe and decor about it. Highly recommended! thanks!
