The food was absolutely amazing…such a perfect mix of flavors that just melt in your mouth! Delivery and food were both excellent, would definitely buy again as large family friendly portions. The size of the mixed platter covered more than the stated amount which helps when your on a tight budget

The people work here don’t speak English They take their sweet time to bring the menu and the food is not good too They make people who fast and need to break the fast wait too long and they serve their people first

Ordered a platter for 4 paid £33 never again. Thought I'd treat my family to iftar but it's still sitting there. The noodles were crunchy the meat was burnt and dry, I'd say it was stale no taste to anything no kebabs. Sad they can give this type of food in ramadan, really disappointed. If food was good would be going back time and time again. Waste of money.

the order was supposed to be delivered at 5:10, it was not delivered untill 6:15, I had to go to the restaurant to pick up my order, one of the worst service I received, will not be using jisteat again

I really didn't want to write this review but I think it's needed especially for the owners to reflect upon. I bought my breakfast at 6am and lunch at at 11am 6 days a week so I never had to deal with the evening staff. Unfortunately I brought my wife here on a Friday and it was not a pleasant experience at all. I ordered food for us and there was a Yemeni family on the next table, from the beginning the manager made one of the workers cleaned the table and had him bring lentils and soups for the Yemeni family. The manager specifically asked the worker to bring them water and put a plastic sheet on their table. My table was dirty with food still there and I was waiting for them come clean it. When I asked for the table to be cleaned the manager handed me a blue tissue roll. I still ignored it and I didn't want to create a scene as i wanted to have a nice time with my wife and I'd already ordered the food. The manager personally brings the food to the Yemeni family asking them if they need anything to jusf call. 20 mins past now im wondering where is our food as the other family are halfway through their food. I asked the staff where is the food and I was told it's at the front waiting for me, the manager at till expected me to take the food, my friend ismail works there saw me and brought the food to my over the till and the manager told him to hand me the food and serve someone else. The food was not even hot anymore while they left it waiting for me. Throughout the whole period the manager was constantly catering to the Yemeni family by offering them complimentary adani tea and coffee, deserts and he also packed them a cake to take and told them to take for the kids. I speak perfect Arabic I understood exactly what he was saying to them. I could have walked out but I really didn't want to spoil the evening for my wife. This is a racist restaurant and you have lost a regular customer, I will do my best to not recommend you to anyone else I know.

I come down during fasting as I wanted to eat in and was denied being served due to it not being iftar time ?? Which has nothing to do with me as I'm not that religion usually eat there with my friends I'm very disappointed as its a food place that has nothing to do with religion and the way I was spoke to and was treated was unacceptable

I added a request note for my delivery and called resturant on the top, but it was missing. I requested 4x meat soup got vegan soup, requested Grill Chicken got oven chicken and requested fresh meat with no fat got halv of meat with fat.

I eat here today an hour ago and left with such disappointment, with food and service. I have been coming here for years however after today I will never come back! I ordered lamb and rice, the rice was undercooked and stale. When i pointed that out to the brother, all he did was give me the same rice by microwaving them! I eat the lamb and left the rice. When i came to pay the bill i had no apology and instead was handed with a full bill. When i pointed out whar had happened earlier i was told " thats the price brother". I reminded him again how bad the rice was and he relanctatly reduced it by two pounds and gave me a very disrespectful sending off. I will never come back again!

Great guy looked after us first time customers

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, and I regret every bit of it. I used [ delivery app] to place my order, and it was nothing but trouble. First off, the pizzas were supposed to be large, but when they arrived, they were small – a clear mismatch from what was advertised. To make matters worse, both pizzas were cold and burnt beyond saving. It was like chewing on a piece of cardboard, and we couldn’t even eat them. I paid £27 for these two pizzas, and it feels like money thrown down the drain. The quality was appalling, and it’s hard to believe any restaurant would send out such food. The app itself wasn’t much help either – no proper way to complain or get immediate support. I will never order from this place again. An absolute waste of time and money.

The portion of a £6 beefy, layers X-layer on layers sauced up 6+layerd pasta sheets. If it wasn’t TOP tier I could’ve been satisfied at the half way portion but I licked that plate so it’s a bargain gem in sparkbrook

My stomach is very bad. I have been suffering from stomach pain for a whole day, and it is not delicious at all. The food is unreasonably spicy. I could not enjoy the food. On top of that, it was full of cloves and strangely full of sourdough to the point of spoiling the taste. The pasta was very oily and not cooked properly. The chicken was just good.

Amazing Food!!!!!! We ordered a mixed grill and lamb mandi which were both absolutely DELICIOUS! The food came out piping hot accompanied by complimentary soup and salad. Will be visiting again very soon inshallah.

I placed an order on Uber Eats at 17:40. The food arrived at 19:15. Phoned the restaurant 3 times to see where the food, and all they kept saying the food is ready but no driver. I asked them if I could speak with th manager they said he's at home phone him. Very bad attitude and rude manners. When the food finally arrived, half was missing.

Went first day of Eid night and everything was underwhelming, waiter didn’t know how to explain when I asked about shawarma hummus making my ordering take longer, ordered chicken tikka wraps the chicken was undercooked bear in mind we didn’t rush them at all. I am writing to share my disappointment with a recent order I placed at your restaurant. I specifically requested that no hot sauce be added to my hamburger, but unfortunately, it was included despite my repeated requests. Additionally, the pizza I ordered seemed to be of lower quality than usual. I also tried calling the restaurant multiple times, but there was no answer. I understand mistakes can happen, but I would appreciate it if you could take steps to ensure customer requests are followed accurately in the future. I would also recommend improving phone answering protocols to avoid missed calls.

They have food you can't leave behind and good service, especially Abu Ahmed who works so hard

Amazing food, the staff routinely ask if it is perfect and go out of their way to take care of customers. Most who enter I find are not so much customers but frequent returners, and I include myself and my brother amongst them. Abu Ahmed is one of the best Brothers out there. For anyone who has ever been to a Yemeni/Arabic restaurant and loved the food and service, people like Abu Ahmed are why, we were just there yesterday and hope to return very soon. Try this place out, all 5 star rating, I wish I can give them more, very fair and honest prices amidst this cost of living crisis, and they give very generous portions. Love this place, variety of food and decent prices. Chai is a £1! Tastes just as good as chaiology/chaiwala. I got pasta, chicken, rice and veg ‘soup’. And salad and it was about £10. Massive portion, tasted fresh, came back for more later. Have had other things on the menu and they’ve all been great too.

Very surprised, food has been consistently incredible as a result I’ve now become a returning customer. Customer service is phenomenal, the manager is extremely polite and respectful, made some good food recommendations. Food is always made hot and fresh. I ordered the platter 4 & spent £39, it arrived with no pasta or bottle of drink. When I spoke to the restaurant I was told to order a soup & they will send the drink and pasta. I didn't understand why I would spend another £7 for soup, service & delivery to receive items that were missed by them. When mentioned to the restaurant I was told to remind them the next I order and they will send. Pointless as my kids wanted pasta with this meal. Unfortunately for them I will not be ordering again.
