Al-Omda in Birmingham

Perfect in all aspects! I went yesterday the food was high quality and generous portions. The soup is a must try. Service was excellent i defienetly reccomend it. Staff were kind and very helpful. The New management have worked hard with the decor. 100% recommendation!

The food...... Probably the worst shawarma we have had. The bread was thin and became cold, crunchy instantly, the meat lacked flavour in the wraps. The pizza was okay but nothing special All in all we won't be going back here again as we wanted to try it as it had just opened under the new brand name. I'd drive/walk past and go to any of the better places in the area.

This place is now Qassioun Shaworma. Such an amazing experience, food was delicious and the staff were lovely, really kind and generous. Highly recommend this place for authentic Syrian food, really can’t fault it! Will be coming here again many times in the future ☺️

Such amazing food alhamdulilah, ordered for first time portion was huge. Ordered platter for 2 and it was more like a platter for 5 with the amount of food in the box. Taste of the food was incredibly delicious and was full of flavour. Can't wait to try more items on the menu , till date I have never come across a local business that provides such authentic, fresh ,and delicious middle eastern food. Definitely a place to try you will not be disappointed

Best Food around hands down. i regularly order from here. its fresh, healthy & tasty. the hummous and the grilled chicken are amazing. i wasnt happy with the Falafel once so the brother kindly replaced them, fresh made in front of me. the Salad is also great. tabarakAllah!

Initially ordered on Uber eats. Excellent platter juicy meat and perfectly cooked rice with a delicious salad. In an area full of burger shops and chai/dessert shops, this type of Arabic food is desperately needed. Their shawarma is delicious. It’s fresh, never had food poisoning from this place. Eating in is an even better experience, friendly excellent customer service. I hope they continue to thrive and find a bigger venue.

You won't be disappointed with the food at Al Omda! I've been there multiple times and it never fails to impress me. Their rice is absolutely my favourite. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go. Trust me, you won't regret it! 😄🍽️

It was busy inside but all people had there food. We just wanted a takeout and had to wait 45 mins for it. They had a app delivery to do too but that was also late too. 4 staff members but work is very slow

I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast from this takeaway, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The customer service was both warm and informed, making the experience even more enjoyable. Food was very bad the tagine was meatless and incurred fat and frozen veg with watery sauce, the battata harah was hard. Rice was ok fries was ok however peri peri burger bun was soaked in oil so was sloppy. Wont be ordering again worst £30 i have ever spent.

THE hidden gem of Birmingham. One of the best foods I have had in a long time. Egyptian food full of flavour. We had the mixed platter for 2. Lamb chops very good, and shwarma and rice incredible. Roast Chicken was not dry. Not very busy in shop but best food and service.

Prompt delivery, taste was amazing will definitely recommend this. Very soft meat and beautiful rice, the stuffed vine leaves were beautiful, just wish I had more I'm feeling hungry again writing this review lol 10/10

I have been going to Al-Omda for atleast a year now and everytime the food and service has been amazing...Allahumma Baarik. The owner is very WELCOMING, HUMBLEand always greets me with a SMILE which makes such a difference. The food is well cooked and seasoned and very GENEROUS SERVINGS indeed and great value for money. If you want to invite friends and family around and want to order some healthy food alternative to fastfood at reasonable price then this is the place for you. The platter for 5 will do the trick and serves easily 8 adults and everyone will guarantee LOVE the food inshallah.

One of the best Arabic food I have ever eat.Do No judge book by the Title, so ignore fancy sitting. Quality of food is amazing we choose to Eat platter Salad was absolutely delicious and well presented.Meat and chicken was so tender it fell off a the bones and juicy. The owner is very welcoming and cheerful.Fizzy Can drinks were well chilled . Green Tea is recommended after food it helped to digest such heavy food. Parking is issue so we use ALDI car park across the road. They do have either Turkish bread or Arabic bread to go with food. Highly recommend family environment. Location you can't missed just opposite to pondland and gym on washwood heath Road.kids have limited choice to choose.

Food is pure salt , impossible to eat. Also everything is cold. Driver was rude.

Food came on time , but the food was not as described, I kind of regretted ordering it as the taste was not as expected it was more of Indian taste than Turkish. Steak was not like steak at all so that was waste of money. If I had to rate I’d say 2/10

The food is usually lovely from here but not this time. The rice was inedible, I can tell it wasn't washed before cooking and was undercooked. Starchy and hard. The meat was not as seasoned as usual. I've never considered this place too expensive for what you get, however on this occasion it was a waste of money.

I would say 5* for the food and service. If they can modernize a bit the place, that would be one of the best places to eat in Birmingham…

Okay so I ordered a take out. And Omg, the lamb kofta wrap is beautiful. The lamb was so soft and succulent, really good tasty food. The food was hot when it arrived. Honestly definitely recommend. 5*s

Had a sharing platter from here kebabs were cold and hard , rice seemed like it was microwave heated really dry and had a plastic taste to it both our children have had upset stomachs since eating from here!! AVOID PEOPLE QUALITY OF FOOD IS SHOCKING FOR THE MONEY YOU PAY !!

The vegan food was really good. But, original fattoush does not contain onion and the fried bread should be Lebnani bread not tortilla sill eatable tho.

So i was really hungry and after looking at 100s of food shops i googled this one. The food stood out, didnt feel like greasy food. Thought it give it a bash....Sooo tasty! 100% worth it.Delivered all the way to erdington and was still hot🔥. Extremely good portions, too. I had the mixed grill with fries, salad and sauces (tasted so good I forgot to picture) was stuffed half way through and I can eat a good portion! Ordered shawarma and fries for my 3 kids, they still had left overs. Owner was extremely helpful and patient when I had an issue with my order on Uber. V polite, humble and great with communication. A+ from a picky outside eater.

I went with my wife today for dinner and as always the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered 2 lamb kebabs, one with fries and the other with salad. The salad one came with hummus which was so nice, it’s the best tasting hummus I’ve had. The food overall was 10/10, the kebabs were so juicy and very good size. The owner is always so friendly, very pleasant guy.

Nice food and delivery was on time too. Loved everything on the plater. The soup however wasn't that impressive, couldn't tell what type soup it is. But everything else was really good and portion size was generous so Would definitely order again

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I really wanted to say how great this restaurant is! We had a platter for three which was absolutely fantastic! The meats were grilled to perfection, the Egyptian style rice was delicious and we really enjoyed the salad and homemade sauces. The chap behind the counter was also extremely friendly, which really made us feel at home. All in all, we had a really great experience and if you're in the area, I can't recommend it enough!

Ordered platter for 2 on Uber Eats. Wallahi I was blown away with 1 bite of the shawarma. By far the best middle eastern restaurant in Birmingham. Cooked to perfection, moist, chunks of meat, succulent flavour. My new eatery. This is an authentic middle eastern cuisine Allahumma Barik.

Amazing food, so flavourful, not like anything I've tasted before in Birmingham, real authentic Egyptian food. Customer service is also top notch. We went as a family of 6 and we all loved it. My daughter branded it as her new favourite restaurant in Birmingham. We took the falafel as a starter and the family platter as a main. Generous portions and so filling.

Such an amazing gem of a restaurant. The best and most humblest owner and host, made us feel so welcome - he especially showed incredible care to my 1 year old. On to the food, everything looked and tasted AMAZING! The salad was TOP notch and the meat was SOOOO succulent and mouth watering. The sauces were SPECIALLY amazing, much much better than any we get elsewhere - owner makes it himself! If we were local to the restaurant we’d be there ALL the time.

Walking in the aroma was so amazing, we instantly knew we found a hidden gem! Authentic. Made with love. Delicious middle Eastern food! Arrived with my platter steaming and personally smoked by the chef. Every bite was sensational, the kebabs, the mandi, the shwarma, but the best thing was it wasn't served with the bland white rice you find at every other restaurant. They even make their own sauces ♡ I'm a difficult person to please and this ticked all the boxes *big thumbs up*

Al Omdas! Where do I begin? Lost and starving, quenched by the devil that is PureGym. Hours dedicated to the gains, only lacking in sufficient nutrients to compete in this heat. I stepped out into the wild (Washwood Heath), my gymbro looking at me with a raging appetite. My life was fading from my very hands, muscles aching, begging for sustenance. We scoured for an establishment that was capable of satiating our hunger. I looked to the skies and down again on God's Earth. And in all its glory stood the building and the man beside it who would go on to save our lives. His name, indeed, Al Omda. A moniker that will remain in our hearts and stomachs for generations to come. By God's grace I conclude this review.

Ordered Platter for 4 people It contained 4 skewers (Lamb and Chicken), Half Chicken, Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Mendi and Rice. Lamb Mendi meat was so tender it was just falling off the bone. The rest of the Platter was nice and tasty. Before the meal had some Turkish bread and Hummus which was delicious. VERY GENEROUS PORTION Overall opinion 8/10 for food Customer service 10/10

Ordered Batata Harrah and Meal for 2 people portion size was good everything was tasty and well seasoned. Meats cooked to perfection retaining moisture and tasting amazing rice cooked perfectly and seasoned well all together a pleasant experience definitely value for money will be using again.
