'30 minute estimated arrival' 2 hours later and still hasn't arrived.

I'm being very generous with a 3. I phoned up because I have a gluten allergy so wanted to clarify what I would usually order. So I phoned up and explained to the guy "before I order on just eat, I wanted to check you cater for gluten free?" The guy said "yes we do gluten free... What do you like?" I explained what I usually go for and I thought he was looking them up to make sure as he kept repeating it back to me. So I said I'm going to go off and order on just eat. "Oh how long for order?" I said oh probably five minutes .. "give us 20 minutes haha". Found it rather odd but I placed the order on just eat. I left a note saying I just called. 20 minutes later I had a phone call saying "when would you like to collect?" I was like pardon? I ordered for delivery on just eat?.. "no you have two orders here. One you called for for collection?" I then realized he probably barley listened on the first call and wrote down an order for collection when I said nothing about ordering when I called, let alone collection I only called for an allergy enquiry. Had a knock on the door for my just eat order (thank god) but food was not the best just seemed bland, same taste of spice for the two dishes I ordered and the biryani was swimming in oil/ water... Also only 5 small pieces of chicken in the biryani.. Won't be back!

my family and I went here for my husbands birthday meal 06/12/2019 on recommendation of the chef from the Thackeray Cardiff...what a gem of a place. The service was absolutely fabulous , nothing was too much trouble. the knowledge of the cuisine was outstanding infact our party ordered per recommendation our table waiter. The food was spot on,hot,tasty and presented beautifully in a very clean establishment. . Cant believe we havnt been here before. All in all fab Birthday. fab food, fab service and the bonus is .....They do takeaway and delivery 8

Pleasant atmosphere with great food.

Order was very late, ordered at 8 (Saturday), the ETA was 8:55 and it actually turned up at 10:50. The delivery guy was nice just the restaurant needs to employ a second driver. Food was okay.

The strap line is ‘late night food’. It’s actually just LATE FOOD! We have been waiting 1hour and 40 minutes and counting! If you are busy and running late just give a real accurate time estimate for delivery and don’t just keep postponing and deferring. I called to ask when the food would arrive and I was hung up on! Of course I called back because this terrible customer service and is not acceptable. I will further review once/if the food arrives!

Amazing food, brilliant staff, there is nothing wrong with this place, the chicken tikka was amazing and my dad said his jalfrezi was amazing!!🤩

The best chicken madras in the country

Have had 2 vindaloo curries takeaway and the curry was smaller and full of tomato and full of onions. Also has recently changed hands. I expect the chef had changed too. After using the akash for at least 20 years will give it a miss from now on.

I myself is an Indian so I know how actually Indian food tastes like so the food you find here and here is one of the worst Indian food ever. It’s not even Indian it’s just Bangladeshi version of Indian food. The Chicken Tikka Masala which I had was the worst I have ever had in my life. The curry was literally made separately and the pieces of chicken were added to it. Also the Mutton Roganjosh it was a complete joke. I can’t actually describe how bad it was. And the Naan was soo thick felt like a normal bread. I would like to recommend the chefs to visit India and try so real Indian food and then cook it. Or else can visit Spice Quarter ( Foods are Closest to the actual Indian authentic food which can be found in India).

One of the first Indian restaurants in Cardiff and nearly 60 years on still going strong today. Fantastic authentic Indian food cooked in the old traditional way. The taste is amazing.

Since refurbishment, the food is exquisite, authentic herbs and spices..

I have not been to many Indian restaurants but I found the food delicious and not too spicy. The staff is lovely, the place is comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. All of this for a really good price!

The restaurant is pretty and the food here is delicious. Good to sit down and eat. The Indian food is very special and suits delicate appetite.

Food was delivered 2 hours and 20 minutes after ordering. People had already gone home. They need to sort out a proper system to get food out in time.
