Ordered a cheeseburger meal , they put sweet chilli in the cheese burger , I waited for 25 mins for one cheese burger meal , they put mayo and vinegar on my chips food acc great tho I’m just pregnant so I was so sad when I see it wasent exactly what I wanted lol

One of my favourites chip shops around Aston Lozells. I’ve recommended to many family members and they all love it. Food remains tasty and portions decent. Our top choices from here is the fish and chips, donner and fried chicken ain’t bad.

Food was hot and clean ..arrived very quickly.i just wish heathfield road branch delivered too. I ordered today and what can I say ordered 2 large fish and chips which served 4...amazingly cooked and the fish was crispy and soft inside and no oil..for me this is by far the best halal fish and chips shop in Birmingham. Fish and chips were piping hot too and amazing chips a mixture of soft and crispy. A must for everyone!!! I've ordered 3 times and never let down. My brother is a foodie and he said these tasted like the professional battered fish and chips

The hygiene is very bad.hes also taking very long take order.he also dropped salad on the floor picked it up and put it back into the salad container.one of the workers went to the toilet and didn't wash his hands.the tall disabled one had dirt under his fingernails. Also his trousers are half falling down.last there is mayo all over the pakistani guy.one guy has his mouth open like it's a coin slot machine.lasty to sum it all of the food is quite nice

I am giving this restaurants 5 stars in the food category because the food was very good I really enjoyed really it. when I was eating it about 4 of my family members had a bit and said this is so nice where did you get it from. Perfectly made no mistake and it only took 3 minutes . I am giving the service 5 stars because the staff are very nice and helpful and we’re not rude like some places in Birmingham . For the atmosphere I am giving it a 5 because all of the staff are working really hard to make the food and it is like a movie scene sometimes. If you are far away you should come and just try it because I have come from some where far and it was worth the wait. If you have tried it and you don’t like it your tastebuds are off ! I definitely recommend this place if you want something very nice and quick. I am definitely coming here again.

Very busy Saturday night probably because it's so popular. Had mixed kebab in naan. Really well cooked and tasty. Long wait. Good price for an enormous portion.

Food is disgusting chips are horrible go for fry’s people they can’t cook decent chips the chicken is dry and tasteless the fish was dry and oily the only good thing is the large kebab I ordered but could off put more meat onit just paid for a box off fries with a little petty bit off meat this place is a hit and miss sometimes used to be amazing just don’t know what happend need to sort it Out.

Food from here is quite tasty. For me it's the best chippy in that locality. Only downside side is the customer service is a bit hit or miss. As recently have been chopping and changing staff. So you just have to double check your order to make sure its right Edit Review... Unfortunately the prices have increased considerably and certain meal portions have decreased

The only problem with Ak's is that it does not accept card payment

Quality of the food is perfect. Fresh and hot. Quick efficient service and is that fast food takeaway which reminds you of childhood. No wonder they’re always busy.

Chips are always hard and also it's full of the side brittle pieces. The chicken is stale. The first time I came here some years ago it was good but after that it's just been poor quality food every single time. I wanted to believe that maybe the food was poor on that specific day but I was wrong. This chippy is not worth separating with your hard earned money because its just a waste of expense. I really do feel terrible after trying to eat this food and also feel terrible wasting money because it was not worth it.

Good food they make it fresh but it's always busy takes a while for the food but is really good would recommend.

Always cooked to perfection, great little takeaway. Prices have increased last time i went but it is still worth it. Sometimes it can get very busy and its hard for everyone to fit inside the shop. Will visit again very soon

Cheeese almighty the best mixed doner meat in naan/fries about.💣boom.. (one of the most tastiest dish on menu). There's other like the grilled chicken breast burgers and my best fav chicken n chips (cheapest boom dish on menu).😛 Honestly great tasty n fresh food and on top excellent priced menu not too expensive. If any complaints then my problem is during busy periods the staff (one particular staff i guess) and my damm luck he served me and mashed up my order 😠 mans lost (he was slow unresponsive when telling him).. Apart from him the quality and taste of food deserves 5* .. Update as of June 2023. There has been a decline in food quality & service. With prices rising on all items you'd expect a little extra quality (if not then at least give extra quantity). Staff are very young & inexperienced in customer service. Lastly in today's world with all the technology at our disposal - they only accept "cash only" no debit cards for payments. 😏

Worst kebab house Yesterday I ordered food of around 40£,they filled loads and loads of half fried chips: it seemed that I ordered only CHIPS!! The thin slice of uncooked fish was wrapped in a hard tortilla without any sauce, absolutely tasteless Wont order next time

Travelled here to watch Blackburn v WBA Ordered donner with chips in naan.. and my son ordered chicken tikka.. excellent portion sizes and the young lad who served me was an absolute pleasure

Use to be a great local chippy with good consistency. Though have realised of late that food quality and portions have gone down. Appreciate higher costs but they have jacked up prices quite a bit

This is probably the best chippy in Birmingham. Masala cod and chips is amazing, well seasoned and crispy, and the chunky chips are perfect (crispy on the offside, full of soft potato goodness on the inside). Thank god I don't live close by or I'd be 50st 😂😂

Food here is tasteless, the masala fish in naan is like frozen code from Iceland! The donner burger was rubbery and gruesome instead of moist and flavoursome. The food has gone downhill from the past few years. I think the owners need to taste what's out there, e.g Hotspot on Yardley Wood Road, who I often order from and then compare and improve!

Normally has been a really good place to eat with good food but lately my family went and never got what they expected tonight my husband and daughter went to take out they had to argue with another customer as to who should be served first when they waited 20mins in a queue and another customer jumped the queue to get served within two minutes. We got our order without the sides such as sauces I would say azsims on lozells is the best place to eat good food and defo good service without prejudice. We payed for cod but are not sure what we actually got don't think we will be going back to ak kebab house. Ak kebab house has a policy of no mask no service my husband and daughter were the only ones with the masks on it just goes to show how seriously some takeaways are dealing with the pandemic have they not heard of omicron variant never mind the rest of the variants

Under new management .... first time going since new management, the chicken was RAW on the inside, also the new guy working with the bowl cut, he was younger, he literally poured me 10 chips in the bag, SUCH A DOWNFALL, I been going for a few years and very disappointed.

I used to go here alot as it was the local chippy but not anymore untill yesterday. Its a decent chippy not the best..positives are the fish and chips is one of the best around but you will have to go early as then the chips are fresh make sure you get the cod (chips are hit and miss though). Also chicken and chips are good too. Burger meals are decent as well. Negatives are the watered down mayo, the bad chips you can get sometimes, the poor food hygine levels. Average chippy

my Local for 15+ years. The BEST chip shop North Birmingham has to offer. Always clean, fresh and valuenfor money. The portion size is double what you usually get so you're paying for alot less. Keep up the GREAT WORK☝️👌👍
