This cafe is staffed and run like a well oiled machine! Always taking orders, efficient service, good decor, good food & good vfm. No wonder people keep coming back. Photo shows my bacon/sausage sandwich which came on beautifully fresh bread. Cannot fault this place.

Stayed in Kidderminster and found AJ’s on Tripadvisor as best great spoon in the area. Didn’t disappoint - excellent big breakfast and really good value. Very friendly and attentive staff and lively atmosphere.

Amazing food! Pricing is so fair as well. The Lady who served us was so polite and friendly we felt really welcomed. Ruby the pug was also so cute x definitely coming back.

Food is very very mediocre, no care or attention. Onions get cremated, baguette dripping in grease to the point it splits. More consideration needs to be given to reflect the price

We recently visited the Severn Valley Railway, arriving in Kidderminster from Bridgnorth around lunchtime we looked for somewhere to eat and found AJ's Diner just round the corner from the station. I wish we had continued walking, what a mistake it was to go in. We waited ages for a sandwich and a cup of coffee, the coffee was not nice, it was very bitter and the less said about the sandwich the better. This place is next to Kidderminster Railway Station and the sandwich was like an old British Rail sandwich from the 1960's, the ends curled over when you picked it up. We would have been much better going into the Fish and Chip shop opposite the station, will definitely not be going back.. AVOID Update following reply from AJ's Diner. I am sure everything you buy is fresh, pity it was not when it was served to us

Perfect. Best fry up ever. Fab rustic furniture with awesome antique memorabilia on display. Super quick service. Very friendly and welcoming. Takes cash or card. Will definitely come back.

There's a good reason why AJ's is Robert Plant's local and it's astounding/upsetting seeing people give this place less than 5 stars. Unbelievably modest prices, ridiculously friendly staff (with a team unrivalled for their work ethic/determination), and speedy service with a smile... you will never ever see this place 'quiet' (even when it's closed!). Best thing about Kidderminster bar none. Thanks for all you do ladies x

I came in today for a big breakfast it was busy but happy to wait. When it arrived sausages were missing but quickly rectified. The food tasted, well, spicy. The bacon and eggs tasted like someone has sprinkled cajun spice on the. Did not leave a pleasant taste. The sausage are not great quality but average 'cafe' standard. It was ok for a cafe but I don't think I'll have another cooked breakfast there. Perhaps a baguette or sandwich next time.

Good old fashioned cafe. Wide spread of customers from passers-by, workmen and lawyers (courts close by). All welcomed. The smell of frying bacon 🥓 does it for me.

Really lovely food and good service cheap food

Came in on a very busy Saturday morning as a starting point for a leisurely Stag do on the SVR. Despite being busy with queues out of the door, the staff were lovely and still got the food done quickly and to everyone at about the same time. Quality was excellent as normal and it was a great start to the day.

This used to be a really good place for breakfast before lockdown. I had a bad takeaway during lockdown but thought I would try them again. I ordered a well done bacon sandwich with sausage and egg, the sausage was burnt the bacon was raw, being pink and the fat white. The bread was so cheap it fell apart. It tasted horribly, the sausages were very chap tasting and bacon very fatty. I tried to pull the uncooked fat off but there was hardly any bacon on it and the bacon was raw. I gave it to my dog and even he would eat the meat, that’s how bad it was.

I used to go before lock down and it was amazing.I had a really bad experience during lockdown where food was undercooked or over cooked, but though I would give them the benefit of the doughy and try them again, but unfortunately I’ve had the same bad experience I had then. Worst food I’ve ever had. We ordered three sandwiches to take away with well done bacon. All the bacon was pink and the fat was white. Sausages were black and low quality. The bread was very airy and just fell apart when trying to eat it. I had to throw them away, they tasted disgusting.

In short I phoned an order through an hour before I wanted to pick up ,only 3 sandwiches, only to be told when I got there I was to wait another 20 minutes I understand they may be busy but don't take orders if you can't fulfil them

Superb quality food. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service good value for money. I always recommend this site to any visitor to the Severn Valley railway

Waited in a queue, when I get to order - they say they have no baps or baguettes (despite having specials boards offering the likes of burgers etc and a Tesco down the road). This was disappointing and I left empty handed. The cafe itself didn’t feel very inviting, hostile attitude from staff etc and generally felt a bit grimy and run down. It’s not a place I’d willingly go back to.

Breakfast was ok, sausages need abolishing imo

30th April. CLOSED. had a match at Willowmarsh Fishery, thought we would have a nice breakfast, only to find you closed. We weren't happy.

I visit this Diner fairly regular and when the owner is cooking the food is lovely 1st class i visited tuesday and the breakfast was terrible FATTY Bacon Cold tomatoes and cold beans the beans tasted horrendous must have been the cheapest beans money could buy i paid good money for my breakfast £7 for the small breakfast it was a sad day

I love it here and have never been disappointed, introduced a die hard burger van man who won't go anywhere else to the place. 💯 a winner!

First class service cafe was packed but the staff handled it with F1 pit stop stye competence, they are fast friendly and the food (big breakfast)was hot and tasty decent thick toast thick bacon overall very nice my go to when I'm in the area 😋

ABIT hit and miss. If there quite sandwich is amazing. If there really busy then it's like a child as put it together. But still nice just a bit messy.

Best breakfast in Wyre Forest, little gem of a place that I have frequented for over 20 years.

Been coming here for breakfasts for over a year and every time the food is amazing.... lovely thick cut bacon 🥓..... gorgeous sausages and eggs done perfectly.....you really won't find better anywhere in Kidderminster so don't waste your very expensive fuel just head straight to AJ's dinner ....the service is second to none and this place has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere plus the quality of cooking is super consistent and I've never had a bad breakfast here hence why I keep coming back and will continue to do so.

Sausage baguette absolutely beautiful. Just had the lasagne with chips and salad, outstanding home made food. Also might a good idea to book a table, went in this morning and no where to sit as most tables empty with reserved signs on them.

Found it too be decently priced food which they are very generous with. Will defo use again when in the area.

Walked out as extremely racist atmosphere and looks from all customers . Staff seemed ok. Also they fry their vegetarian breakfast on same utensils as meat. Would not go again . More welcoming places in area and nicer food than here

Great place was very busy but worth the wait . The girls behind the counter were rushed off their feet but still really friendly .The bacon egg hash brown bap was superb really tasty great price and set me up for the day fantastic .

Place had gone down hill, burnt eggs and onions and coffee smelt like wet dog. Told the lady this and wasn't offered a replacement. Rude short staff. Avoid!
