AJ's in East Lindsey

It’s about time tetney had a decent place for a takeaway this place has been there for years and changed hands a lot some owners that have had it in the past has been very good in the day and now finally have got good owners again. Nowadays they have to be good because there is a lot of competition from other villages. The fish was very good freshly cooked I did enjoy it so please keep it up tetney needs it the village is getting bigger and with a great takeaway will do well there so please keep your standards high and you will not regret it . And thank you to the very polite staff I met that day . And they have a great selection of takeaway food ,Greek raps and pizza that’s a big step for tetney it’s always been fish & chips. So I do recommend it .

The attitude of one of the staff and I’m talking about the woman with the tattoo eyesbrows was disgusting. The place looks lovely and we thought we found a local gem but this horrible woman’s attitude needs to be looked at. Shouting £1.30 for a dribble of hot sauce and talking to the nice gentleman who made the gyros like dirt for offering the bottle to my wife because we couldn’t taste any sauce. We didn’t have Tazaki sauce and asked for hot sauce instead so I cant see what the problem was. £15 for 2 gyros that would of been nice with sauce all this crazy woman kept shouting it was £1.30 £1.30 £1.30. I won’t ever return just because of this wired looking woman who shouldn’t be working in hospitality. Train your staff and change your attitude before your business will suffer. I would like to highlight the man making the food was very polite and the way he was spoken to was not nice to see and I don’t blame to customers that walked out from her behaviour.

Having used this chippy a couple if times and thoroughly enjoyed the food we happily drove there for lunch 6th Feb well we couldn't have been more disappointed after paying £32 for fish and chips twice and fish pattie and chips twice the majority of the food went in the bin. The potato in the fish patties was crunchy raw potato, the chips had a very strange hard exterior soooo disappointing the only thing that got eaten was some of the fish. Nothing was particularly hot either. Needless to say we won't be visiting again in a hurry.

Could not fault the place! Visited with friends at lunch time and we all had fish and chips. 10/10 experience, the food, the staff, the shop cleanliness, it was all spot on! Will be back!

I highly recommend this chip shop. Looks very clean and food cooked to perfection all the staff are welcoming and very friendly. Absolutely 100% the best.

Came here on Monday night (opening night) and was glad I did the food was absolutely delicious and the shop was spotless. Can tell the new owners are more professional than the last, see you Friday guys!
