The location was amazing but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! They never provided the right facilities such as towels, a baby cot, toilet roll, no drinking facilities at all. The showers were absolutely filthy, there was clumps of hair and stool all on the shower floor. We had to get one of the staff to change the bedding due to stains and hair all on it. Walls had stains going up them and rooms stunk of body odour. Staff gave wrong keys which gave me us access to other peoples rooms whilst other people were still in there. Lift was way too small to fit my child’s pram in so they expected us to leave our pram down the stairs, even though my child had to sleep in that pram as they didn’t provide any sleeping facilities for her. The hotel wasn’t up to standard with the description on the website. One of my family members has a skin condition and refused to provide towels so she could dry her skin so she couldn’t have a showers as her skin would have been sore.

It used to be a nice hotel, and I have stayed there in the past, but the new owners are not customer-focused and lack any sense of needing customer service or legality. This is also a common thread when trying to get a new room at other hotels; they all had the same reaction, 'yeah, we've heard they are not very friendly to customers' First, when I checked in at 2 o'clock, I was told to fill out a paper sheet and asked to hand over my ID. They then scanned in and just left the documents on the desk where anyone could see. definitely a breach of GDPR. considering anyone could walk in and see, or when the office was empty, walk in and take. I still don't know what they have done with my data. They were also kids in the recption and entrance area which i giess where the people running the hotel that day kids. When I was given my room, they already had cases on the bed, which was definitely a security and safety risk for both me entering that room and the people already in it. The next room I was given was not clean. On my way back down, a woman came up and said to leave my case in, and they would clean it in. Another couple came up and offered to swap rooms, it also wasn't clean. Turns out they have what looks like teenagers working, guess it's all one family. Next, when I spoke to the guy on reception, he refused to even help me in any way. Asked me what GDPR was, then later claimed to know what it was. But when I asked for the sheet I filled out, he said they had to keep it. another GDPR breach. BY 4 o'clock, they still had not finished cleaning and had dirty bedding and rubbish on the landings. I didn't feel safe, but it was either here or the beach, so the lesser of two evils. I slept with my case behind the door, only for the next morning the fire alarm to go off. The people running the hotel had no clue where the alarm was going off. As someone who manages a hospitality venue, a fully up-to-date and functioning alarm system should be able to tell which alarm it is. So either it is not up to code, or they don't know how to work it. Turns out people were smoking in their rooms, but it definitely smelled of weed. Not to mention the kids, teenagers, man and women mentioned before were in their PJ's just like most of the customers, as it seems they sleep in the reception area. There were defiantly at least one pull out bed in the place. They also have a sign at reception that says they have a bar open 24 hours, This is interesting as to be able to sell alcohol, you need a premise you need a license holder. But when I asked who was in charge contently they were away. So not sure how they could serve alcohol without having a licensed holder on sight. Trying to get a refund for a misrepresented service is impossible, both through them and through booking.com, as they just ignore all calls and emails. I will continue to pursue this until I am able to get my money back.

As this was booked as a surprise, I was sceptical when reading previous reviews. However, although the hotel is tired and the fixtures and fittings have seen better days, it does exactly what it says on the tin. We had a balcony room and although small, it was clean and the bed very comfortable. The en-suite was small, but the shower was perfect, the towels were clean and the water pressure was good and the temperature was excellent. Having the balcony was a bonus and was lovely to have somewhere to sit outside, watching the world go by. Tea and coffee was fine, more given when asked for, although would suggest mugs, instead of tea cups. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the tv good. The location is central and everything you need is close by. For those that want the Ritz, then pay the price. This was good value for money and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Booked a Deluxe Room for my mother and her 4 year old grandson. Upon arriving they were told no room was available. Staff arranged an alternative room at a different hotel (far cheaper than what was paid, presumably to pocket the £50 difference). The alternative arranged was rundown and filthy. Attempted to contact Queen's hotel to complain and request refund but all communication has been completely ignored. Terrible service.

- We asked for cot bed and got a confirmation for cot bed but when we arrived there was NO cot bed. - The receptionist was more interested in his phone than talking to us. - Very cold rooms, No heat. - Very limited parking spaces. - Water tap can’t be turned off so once you turned it on will run continuously. - No privacy at all, I could hear clearly every word from the neighbour rooms. Would NOT recommend and won’t be staying here again!

Ordered the £18.15 Prawn Shashlik as a treat and came with 5 prawns, a tiny bag of salad and no Naan Bread. If you try and order from their main website the order function is disabled. This means you can only use Foodhub or Just eat. Both menus advertise this coming with the bread, and of course for the price, you'd expect it. When I got the order it wasn't there, I asked where was it, I had two members of staff shouting at me down the phone saying I was wrong. It couldn't believe how confrontational they were. They kept shouting. I couldn't speak because of it. They said it's never been on the menu. But why is it advertised? Why does it cost so much? I've included photos. But I'm just in disbelief with how they spoke to me.

The food was hot and they got my order right, that would have been 5 stars for a McDonald's, but whoever was responsible for slicing the muffins clearly thought they were playing Fruit Ninja. I haven't rated the atmosphere because let's face it, I was in Skegness out of season on a cold morning. The place was unlikely to be full of people in the throes of ecstasy, celebrating life. Other than that, you've got to love a McDonald's breakfast.
